문제중심학습 교육을 받고 있는 간호학생의 학습유형에 따른 참여도와 학업성취도 (Participation and Academic Achievement by Learning Styles in Problem Based Learning)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze nursing students' learning styles and relationship of learning style to participation and academic achievement. Method: The study participants were nursing students in C college learning through problem based learning (PBL). Data were collected using a questionnaire which included Kolb's learning styles. Performance evaluation and paper examination were used to evaluate academic achievement. Results: Most of the students had converger type learning style. Student with a tendency to abstract conceptualization, such as converger type and assimilator type, preferred discussion and presentation. The students with converger type learning style participated and achieved better than students with diverger style. Conclusion: The results indicate that learning style was related to participation and academic achievement. Therefore in order to use PBL effectively, facilitators should consider students' learning styles.

과학 학습시 중.고등학생들이 선호하는 동기 유형에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Preferable Motivation Types in Science Learning of the Secondary School Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the preferable motivation types in science-learning and to find out the relationship between these types and scientific achievement of students in the secondary school. The subjects of the study were the second grade 581 students sampled by random cluster sampling method in three middle schools and three high schools. Three motivation types in science learning were analyzed, and they were named to task-orientation, ego-orientation and work-avoidance. From our results, secondary school students preferred task-orientation and work-avoidance to ego-orientation. In the case of task-orientation, high school students, especially in male group, had much preferable tendency than that of middle school students (p<0.001). It is interpreted that, as the level of scientific content of texts or the cognitive level of students were higher, a preference for the motivation type was focused to the task-orientation, especially in male group. In the case of ego-orientation, the female group showed much preferable tendency than that of male group in middle school (p<0.05). However, the female group in high school students was not different from the other groups in this motivation type. In the case of work-avoidance, there were not only a significant difference between males and females in the middle school (p<0.001), but also difference between middle and high school students in female group (p<0.05). It showed that female group had much preferable tendency than that of male group, and this tendency was decreased to the higher grade students in secondary school. From the analysis of correlation between motivation types and scientific achievement, task-orientation and work-avoidance were correlated to the scientific achievement. Its results were interpreted that the scientific achievement could be accomplished by the external motivation stimulus as well as the scientific content of texts. The task-orientation were comparatively correlated to the intelligence quality. It means that the students having high intelligence quality showed much preferable for the task-orientation.

화학교육의 목표지향성, 자기효능감, 성취욕구, 지능신념, 자기핸디캡경향 및 학습전략 간의 경로모형 탐색 (Exploration of the Path Model among Goal Orientation, Self-efficacy, Achievement Need, Entity Theory of Intelligence, Learning Strategy, and Self-handicapping Tendency in Chemistry Education)

  • 본 연구는 화학교육의 동기전략에 영향을 끼치는 학습관련 변인들의 인과관계에 대한 최적 모형을 찾고자 한다. 이를 위하여 광주광역시 소재 G와 I 고등학교에서 화학교육에 참여한 487명을 대상으로 하였다. 동기전략에 영향을 주는 학습관련 변인들의 경로모형을 탐색하기 위해, '자기효능감, 성취욕구, 지능신념'이 목표지향성을 매개로 하여 동기전략인 자기핸디캡경향과 학습전략으로 가는 모형을 Model I로 설정했다. 그리고 목표지향성을 근본 동기변인으로 하고 '자기효능감, 성취욕구, 지능신념'을 매개로 하여 '자기핸디캡경향과 학습전략'에 이르는 모형을 Model II로 설정했다. 이들 기본모형들을 기반으로 하여, 목표지향성(숙달목표, 수행접근목표 및 수행회피목표), 자기효능감, 성취욕구, 지능신념, 자기핸디캡경향 및 학습전략 간에 경로모형을 알기위해 통계분석을 통해 단계적으로 살펴보았다. 그 결과 Model I과 Model II 중에서 Model II가 선택되었고, 이 모형의 주요한 통계적 적합도 지수들을 확인하고 분석하면서 경로의 추가 및 삭제를 했고, 5차 수정한 결과, Model II-5의 경로모형이 본 연구의 최적 모형으로 채택되었다. 이 최적 모형을 분석한 결과, ${\chi}^2$의 p값도 0.267를 보임으로써 Model II-5가 측정자료와 아주 잘 일치한 모형임을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구에서는 15개의 경로들이 통계적으로 p <.05에서 유의미하게 학습전략에 영향을 주고 있음을 알 수 있다.

Analysis of Preservice Elementary Teachers' Lesson Plans

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze lesson plans from third to sixth grades of science and to find out teaching strategies in respects of learning functions provided by preservice elementary teachers in education university. On the whole, to control students' learning process preservice teachers used more shared-regulation strategy than strong teacher-regulation one. Teaching activities for regulative learning function were most used in strategy of strong teacher-regulation, and in strategy of shared-regulation those for cognitive learning functions were most used. But teaching activities for affective learning functions were used a little considered in both teaching strategies. In introduction step of instruction, affective and regulative learning functions were more instructed by strong teacher-regulation strategy and cognitive learning functions were more instructed by shared-regulation strategy. The affective, cognitive, and regulative learning functions were largely planned by shared-regulation teaching strategy in development. The regulative learning functions were planned by strong teacher-regulation strategy than by shared-regulation strategy and affective learning functions were considered a little bit in consolidation. There was a tendency that strong teacherregulation strategy was increased in lessons for fifth and sixth grade.

전문대학 u-러닝모델 개발을 위한 핵심 고려요소에 대한 고찰 (Core Factor In u-Learning Model Design For Junior College)

  • Recently building up of u-learning oriented teaching and learning system has been expanded rapidly, However domestic junior college's challenging for adapting it might be slower than other educational body's doing, and in that result it might be paid more or be taken longer time to improve their old system effectively. Now, it is very time for them to develop and implement u-learning oriented teaching and learning system quickly. This paper offers and draws the core factors to design ubiquitous teaching and learning model systematically through investigation of worldwide recent technology and R&D, patent, service and standardization tendency related with u-learnig modeling.

대학생의 부정적 심리성향과 학업열의가 자기주도적 학습능력에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Academic Engagement and Negative Psychological Tendency on Self-Directed Learning Ability among Undergraduate Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to explore self-directed learning ability and its affecting factors among undergraduate students. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study design was used. Using a convenience sampling method, data were collected from 196 undergraduate students enrolled in one national university. Negative psychological tendency (i.e. Type D personality), academic engagement, and self-directed learning ability were assessed using a structured questionnaire. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, and analysis of covariance, Pearson's correlation coefficients, and stepwise multiple linear regression, using SPSS/WIN 23.0 program. Results: The mean age of the students was $21.61{\pm}2.40years$ and 56.6% were male students. Approximately, one third (n=67, 34.2%) of the students had Type D personality. The average scores of academic engagement and self-directed learning ability were $3.01{\pm}1.14$ and $3.46{\pm}0.50$, respectively. After controlling for sociodemographic variables, the Type D personality and academic engagement were significant predictors of self-directed learning ability (${\beta}=.64$, p<.001; ${\beta}=-.13$, p=.021, respectively). This model explained 53.6% of the variance in self-directed learning ability. Conclusion: The study identified that Type D personality and academic engagement affect self-directed learning ability of undergraduate students, one in a negative way, the other in a positive way. Educators and educational policy makers need to make efforts to include interventions and strategies that increase academic engagement and change negative psychological dispositions such as D-type personality in the undergraduate education curriculum.

과제 중심 다감각운동 프로그램이 학습지연을 동반한 ADHD성향 아동의 자아효능감과 쓰기능력에 미치는 변화 (The Effect of Task-Oriented Multi-Sensory Movement Program on Self-efficacy and Writing Ability of Children with ADHD Tendency Accompanied by Learning Delays)

  • 목적 : 학습지연을 동반한 ADHD성향을 지닌 아동에게 교육매체를 접목한 과제 중심 다감각운동 프로그램을 적용한 후 자아효능감과 쓰기능력의 변화를 알아보고자 하였다. 연구방법 : 학습지연을 동반한 ADHD성향을 지닌 아동을 대상으로 과제 중심 다감각운동 프로그램을 실시하였다. 연구절차는 사전검사, 중재, 사후검사 순으로 진행되었다. 사전-사후검사로 자아효능감 및 KNISE-BAAT 쓰기검사 '가'형과 '나'형을 사용하였다. 중재는 총 8회기 동안 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS version 18 프로그램을 사용하여 분석하였다. 결과 : 과제 중심 다감각운동 프로그램 적용 결과 자아효능감(학교, 사회), 쓰기능력(어휘구사력, 문장구사력)에 유의미한 향상이 나타났다. 결론 : 과제 중심 다감각운동 프로그램은 학습지연을 동반한 ADHD성향을 지닌 아동의 자아효능감 및 쓰기능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 유익한 중재방안으로 활용될 수 있을 것이다. 후속 연구에서는 교육매체를 접목한 과제 중심 다감각 운동 중재모형을 다양하게 구안할 필요가 있다고 사료된다.

치위생과 재학생의 학습태도에 대한 비판적 사고성향과 문제해결능력의 효과 (Effects of Critical Thinking Disposition and Problem Solving Ability on Learning Behavior of Dental Hygiene Students)

  • 본 연구는 치위생과 재학생을 대상으로 학습태도, 문제해결능력, 비판적 사고성향을 확인하고 학습태도에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자하였다. 자료분석방법은 연구대상자의 일반적 특성을 빈도분석하였고, 학습태도, 비판적사고성향, 문제해결능력은 평균과 표준편차, 각 변수의 상관관계를 조사하였다. 연구대상자의 일반적 특성에 따른 학습태도, 비판적사고성향, 문제해결능력은 t-test와 ANOVA, 학습태도에 영향을 미치는 요인은 위계적 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구결과 학습태도에 영향을 미치는 변수는 학년이 영향력이 가장 높았고, 비판적사고성향의 하위요인으로 자신감과 회의성이 학습태도에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구를 통하여 치위생과 재학생 중 1학년이 학습태도 점수가 가장 높은 것으로 조사되었다. 1학년을 대상으로 한 비판적 사고성향과 문제해결능력을 효과적으로 상향할 수 있는 프로그램개발과 학습자의 특성 및 전공만족도와 대학생활 적응정도, 문제중심학습 및 프리셉터쉽 적용을 통한 연구가 지속적으로 이루어져야 할 것으로 사료된다.

Study on the Take-over Performance of Level 3 Autonomous Vehicles Based on Subjective Driving Tendency Questionnaires and Machine Learning Methods

  • Level 3 autonomous vehicles require conditional autonomous driving in which autonomous and manual driving are alternately performed; whether the driver can resume manual driving within a limited time should be examined. This study investigates whether the demographics and subjective driving tendencies of drivers affect the take-over performance. We measured and analyzed the reengagement and stabilization time after a take-over request from the autonomous driving system to manual driving using a vehicle simulator that supports the driver's take-over mechanism. We discovered that the driver's reengagement and stabilization time correlated with the speeding and wild driving tendency as well as driving workload questionnaires. To verify the efficiency of subjective questionnaire information, we tested whether the driver with slow or fast reengagement and stabilization time can be detected based on machine learning techniques and obtained results. We expect to apply these results to training programs for autonomous vehicles' users and personalized human-vehicle interfaces for future autonomous vehicles.

Deep Learning in Genomic and Medical Image Data Analysis: Challenges and Approaches

  • Artificial intelligence, especially deep learning technology, is penetrating the majority of research areas, including the field of bioinformatics. However, deep learning has some limitations, such as the complexity of parameter tuning, architecture design, and so forth. In this study, we analyze these issues and challenges in regards to its applications in bioinformatics, particularly genomic analysis and medical image analytics, and give the corresponding approaches and solutions. Although these solutions are mostly rule of thumb, they can effectively handle the issues connected to training learning machines. As such, we explore the tendency of deep learning technology by examining several directions, such as automation, scalability, individuality, mobility, integration, and intelligence warehousing.
