Artistic font design has become an integral part of visual media. However, without prior knowledge of the font domain, it is difficult to create distinct font styles. When the number of characters is limited, this task becomes easier (e.g., only Latin characters). However, designing CJK (Chinese, Japanese, and Korean) characters presents a challenge due to the large number of character sets and complexity of the glyph components in these languages. Numerous studies have been conducted on automating the font design process using generative adversarial networks (GANs). Existing methods rely heavily on reference fonts and perform font style conversions between different fonts. Additionally, rather than capturing style information for a target font via multiple style images, most methods do so via a single font image. In this paper, we propose a network architecture for generating multilingual font sets that makes use of geometric structures as content. Additionally, to acquire sufficient style information, we employ multiple style images belonging to a single font style simultaneously to extract global font style-specific information. By utilizing the geometric structural information of content and a few stylized images, our model can generate an entire font set while maintaining the style. Extensive experiments were conducted to demonstrate the proposed model's superiority over several baseline methods. Additionally, we conducted ablation studies to validate our proposed network architecture.
The purpose of this study was to survey the present circumstance of uniform's design and to suggest a design for employees who work for Korean restaurants in Hotels. The subject of study are 10 restaurants which are located in the first class hotels in seoul. And the period of research were 2 months between November, 2003 and December, 2003. The result of research was analyzed by various methods - which consider the frequency, percentage, T-test, crosstabs, and one-way ANOVA. The results are as follows: $1.40{\%}$ of subject adopt a general style which is not traditional style and $60{\%}$ of subject do a Han-Bok or casual Han-Bok which is traditional style. 2. About satisfaction of uniforms, $50{\%}$ of people who is wearing general style has been satisfying their uniform. And $33{\%}$ of people who is wearing traditional style has only been satisfying. 3. People prefer uniform that is made of wrinkle free fabrics and has pockets. In shape of design, they want that ankle-length of trousers, 7/8 sleeves's jackets with waist line-length, and narrow ends. They prefer that a coat has a knob button and there is a zipper in a skirt.

This study examines the correlation between the characteristics of sustainable slow design, The outcome derived from the pro-environmental consciousness in fashion design, and the trends of modern fashion design. The conclusion of this study is as follows. First, slow design for sustainability shows an environmental consciousness and stresses the ethical aspects of fashion design that take into account the wellbeing and sustainable development of human society. It also focuses on the continuos present in which the consistent pace of life endures, rather than pursuing speedy changes of fashion by titillating desire. Second, the five characteristics of slow design have been extracted from the analysis of the examples of fashion industry and other fashion-related areas. They are sustainability, recyclibility, handicraft, naturalness, and simplicity. Third, these characteristics of slow design have much to do with modern fashion genres. For instance, classical style fashions such as Chanel suit and Burberry coat have the same qualities of sustainability, while at the same time the Vintage fashion, which reinterprets the fashions from bygone eras in modern style, has the tendency of recyclibility, and the Hippie style, a resurrection of hand-touch spirit that emerged as a secondhand style expressionism resisting uniform mass production, has not only the quality of handicraft but also recyclibility.

This paper is to evaluate an open space on university campuses enclosed within buildings, with respect to building elevation a wall of an open space including outer wall materials and window forms and an open space itself. It uses case study methods to periodically know specific details about open spaces and surrounding buildings elevation. It was found, at first, that it was emphasized vertical elements on window frames as well as building elements in an era of the 1910's to the 1930's. It, however, was changed into emphasizing on horizontal features in the era of the 1960's to the 1970's. Meanwhile the period from the 1940's to the 1950's was a turning point. The horizontal style was continued until the 1980s and the style was changed into various style mixed with various types. Secondly, an open space was recognized as a valuable design criteria for a construction of buildings in the 1930s to the 1970s. It was, however, a forgotten criteria during the late 1970's and the 1980's because of short age of the construction budget of the government. In the 1990's, the importance of open space design reappeared on the design of a block plan. Thirdly, a design style of an open space was authoritarianism using symmetrical and magnificent style in the 1910's to the 1930's. The time of 1945 to the 1950's was a turning point from authoritarianism to an idea of efficiency. In the 1960's and the 1970s, an idea of efficiency emphasizing their functions was prevalent to the design of buildings and open spaces and this trend was continued until the 1980's. A romanticism was realized on the design of an open space and surrounded building's.

The purpose of this study is to make a basic resource in developing a design satisfying male consumers' fashion inclination by examining the features of the men's fashion style shown in the fashion collections. Collected were 1,291 photos relating to the suit style through the analysis on the men's fashion collections for 8 years(1995-2002). Representative men's fashion images are extracted from these photos, then figurative features were analyzed and typified according to image, and finally representative fashion styles were presented and its meaning was analyzed. Representative men's fashion images are Sophisticated, Casual, Elegant, Active, Natural, Classic, Romantic, Ethnic, Military, Marine, Colonial, and Avant-garde. With the subcategories such as detailed shape of jacket and trousers, the relationship of color between upper and lower clothes, type and organizing method of material quality, type and arranging method of pattern, and coordination, the extracted fashion images were analyzed the figurative features. After finding out the common and different features, four men's fashion styles were suggested. Formal style maintains the typical suit style and has the feature expressing the men's authority, tradition, and honor. It includes Sophisticated, Elegant. and Classic image. Casual St Sporty style has the feature that there is a change in the volume of suit by adding activity to the typical suit style. It includes Casual, Active, and Natural image. Uniformed style is that political and social environment such as war has an influence on the suit design. It includes Military, Marine, and Colonial image. Deformed style has the feature that it suggests new type instead of adhering to the typical suit design. It includes Ethnic, Romantic, and Avant-garde image.
The author of the paper investigated the changes of hairstyle along the developments in hairdressing industry in the 20th century. The development process of hairdressing industry was divided into four periods of introduction, origination, growth, and establishment. The corresponding changes of hairstyle were analyzed and the findings are as follows. 1. Hairstyle could be classified into such typical ones as traditional style, cut, bob, wave, permanent wave, up style, and hair coloring. 2. Fashion leaders affected the changes of hairstyle. 3. Whenever hairdressing appliances were introduced, new hairstyle was practiced as follows with the use of the appliances. (1) Introduction Period - Traditional Style : Chignon, pigtail ribbon $\rightarrow$ Variations were designed in hair length or split due to the limited availability of appliances. - Up Style : Pompadour, thick and up hair, encircling hair $\rightarrow$ Padding was used for sweep-up. (2) Origination Period - Bob Style : Women's first bob style. - Wave style : Wave with bob, close-cropped hair, up style $\rightarrow$ Iron, set, permanent devices were used. (3) Development Period - Wave Style : Wind wave, easily manageable wave $\rightarrow$ Blow dry, body permanent were used. (4) Establishment Period - Straight Style : Use of straight permanent. - Thick Wave Style : Development of various kinds of rod. - Hair Coloring : Advent of diverse fashion hair coloring, apart from the coloring of white hair, with the introduction of color TV. - Bob Style : Romantic bob style $^{\circ}\hat{E}$ Use of clippers and thinning scissors. Thus, the changes of hairstyle according to the development in hairdressing industry had close relationship with the improvement in hairdressing appliances.
Postmodern designers freely used historical motifs as symbolic expressions or ornamentations. Historical references often became a key to express their ideal against modern standardization. Among the historical references, Art Deco style was frequently appreciated by postmodern furniture designers from the 1960s throughout postmodern era. This study is Intended to explore the way of incorporating Art Deco in postmodern furniture design. Rational Italian designers in Anti-design Movement began to adapt historical motifs and Pop, and this spread out throughout to other Postmodern designers. The research explored how Art Deco and postmodern design are related and what the examples of Art Deco revival in the postmodern era we. In this sense the research mainly covered from the exhibition catalogs from the 1960s to 1990s. As a result of stylistic, symbolic, methodological analysis, Art Deco revival in postmodern era was an essential method to express anti-modern characteristics of postmodernism. In postmodern design, Art Deco was one of historical styles that surpass the limitation o( modernism, at the same time decorative style that express the postmodern ideal.

The purpose of this study is to classify fashion images of senior women who have emerged as influential customers in the fashion industry. Characteristics of fashion images of senior women are identified by fashion style, preference color, and self-image. With the collected data, the Q group, consisting of Korean women who are in their 50s, was targeted using the Q methodology. The following factors were evaluated through in-depth interviews: fashion style, preference color and self-image. The fashion images of senior women were classified into the following 4 types: Characteristic modern, Reasonable basic, Comfortable contemporary, and Conservative elegance. Those classified fashion image types were influenced by the factors of nobleness, usefulness, personality, fashionableness, and youthfulness in accordance with fashion style, preference color, and self-image. The results of this study may provide basic information for fashion image planning for senior women and meaningful data for redefining and diversifying the concept of senior fashion brand which reflects the generation's changed taste and lifestyle.
Nowadays the increasing improvement of quality of life have been required more diversified housing environment. And it also focused on concern about Korean traditional housing style, Hanok. There were several studies applied to traditional style design on Hanok. but few on Hanokstyle apartment. So the purpose of this study were to identify the consumer awareness on Hanok style apartment plan and its design details. The research were done by questionnaire methode. It were distributed to 130 city and rural residents. 109 questionnaires were analyzed by frequency, Percentage, $x^2$-test, F-test, ANOVA, t-test, and factor analysis. The major results were as follows. First, 70% of respondents revealed their intention to live in Hanokstyle housing if it has improved conveniency and lowered maintenance expenses. Second, they preferred under 5 story row house type or apartment type Hanok located in suburbs. Third, Hanokstyle apartment characteristics were expected to have visual openness, good view, traditional decor, functional, rhythmical and transitional space. And also they wanted traditional Madang(inner garden) and Maru(a wooden floor room) located next to living room.
Housing for the elderly should be planned on the base of elder's needs and preferences as well as their physical, emotional, and socio-psychological characteristics. This study examined the interior style of bedroom and living room the elderly preferred and these preferences are significantly different depending on their characteristics and cognitive ages, or not. This study was carried out by face to face interview with a questionnaire and 6 colored printed 3D images. The subjects were 202 old aged who lives in Busan. The interior style of bedroom and living room were classified into 3 styles; Korean traditional style, Western classical style, and modern style. The subjects made a choice their preferred interior style among three 3D images per each room and answered the reasons. Also, they answered their cognitive ages and general characteristics, and their preferences for the layout of living room-dining room-kitchen, use pattern, floor finishes, and furniture of bedroom and living room. The results were as follows; 1) The subjects preferred bed in bedroom and sofa in living room. Also, they wanted to finish the floor of bedroom and living room by using synthetic material, traditional floor paper, and wood. 2) The elderly preferred Western classical style of bedroom. The reasons were general mood such as warm, comfort, or bright, and the color. 3) These preferred styles were not any significant differences according to their characteristics and cognitive ages. 4) They preferred Korean traditional style, Western classical style, and modern style, in order. They preferred them for their general mood and window. 5) Their preferred styles were significantly different according to their housing types and cognitive ages.
