Two Cases of Gami-Guibitang on Cognitive Impairment after Stroke with Improved Recall Memory including Korean Medicine (가미귀비탕을 포함한 한방치료로 회상기억이 향상된 뇌졸중 후 인지저하 환자 2례)

  • ■ Objectives This case study is to report the two cases of Gami-Guibitang on cognitive impairment after stroke with improved recall memory. ■ Methods We used Korean medicine treatments including Gami-guibitang, acupuncture and moxibustion to treat patients who had cognitive impairment after stroke for at least two months. We observed the changes of symptoms by measuring Korean version of Mini-mental status examination (MMSE-K), Clinical Dementia Rating (CDR) and Global Detration Scale (GDS). ■ Results After treatment, the patient's symptoms were improved including MMSE-K, CDR and GDS. Improvement appeared to be prominent in recall memory. The general condition were also improved after treatment. ■ Conclusion This clinical case study suggests that Korean medicine including Gami-guibitang could be used to treat patients who had cognitive impairment after stroke especially suffering from degraded recall memory.

  • Entrepreneurship is the act of being an entrepreneur or one who undertakes innovations or introducing new things, finance and business in an effort to transform innovations into economic benefits. This result in new organizations or may be part of revitalizing mature organizations in response to a perceived opportunity. The most obvious form of entrepreneurship is that of starting new businesses, or startup company. However, in recent years, the term has been extended to include social and political forms of entrepreneurial activity. Interest in the entrepreneurship education has increased significantly in now. The 61 universities made the entrepreneurship education center in the four year university and college through the government LINC program. We need the questions about the what, who and why for entrepreneurship education. Kauffman Campus Initiative(KCI) guide us to the direction of the entrepreneurship center for the future. The considerations are as follows; what is center's managerial structure, what kind of program and activities is provided, what is factors to be interested, participated in the education, how can be sustainable entrepreneurial center?. This study provide four implicit for the centers. More broad definition of entrepreneurship for the education, diverse textbook and subjects for the entrepreneurship, coach development for the teaching, and the sustainable leadership.

  • According to the economic advancement, the position of service industry in GDP has increased. Development of service industry has solved the employment issue and derived the activation of the internal market. It has contributed to demand creation in health care, education, and culture, enhancing competition of the manufacturing industry and entire economic development. By the development of information communication technologies, improvement of the quality of life from those, and changes in the competitive environment, customers, from businesses and public agencies, or the customer's needs are increasing. In these circumstances, companies are operating non-face-to-face contact call center for the purpose to communicate with customers, handle customer complaints, attract and retain new customers. In this study, to improve the performance of the non-face-to-face contact call center, this study tried to derive the call center's 'Service Process Modeling' and future policy assignment by analyzing the problem from the research of the service and process summary, performance evaluation, call center evaluation and etc.

The Effect of Group Occupational Activity Program on Visual Perception and Motor Function of Children in Community Children Center (집단 작업 활동 프로그램이 지역아동센터 아동의 시지각 및 운동기능에 미치는 효과)

  • Objective : The current study investigated the effectiveness of group occupational activity program in increasing visual-perception and motor function of children in Community Children Center. Methods : Five children aged between 6-9 years in a community children center participated in the group occupational activity program. The program was designed to facilitate children's visual-perception and motor function based on play occupations. We examined performances of MVPT-3 and BOT-2 before and after the program. Results : Children who participated in the group program showed significant increases in visual perception and motor function. Conclusion : The study revealed the effectiveness of group occupational activity program in promoting visual perception and motor function of children in a community children center, which suggests the possibility of application of occupational activity toward low-income children in the community.

  • A policy of entrepreneurship support increases recently. A policy of entrepreneurship support provide from infra to direct support in various. Quantity scale increase but quality levels are inadequate. In this paper, we provide an overview of the role of Graduate school of Entrepreneurial management on the development of entrepreneurship in Korea. This study aims exploratory research that the role of graduate school of entrepreneurial management in the diffusion of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship culture. This study review the support of entrepreneurship structure(youth entrepreneurship, domestic support of entrepreneurship system, abroad support of entrepreneurship system) and the propulsive strategy(the business of SOE, 4th Generation Business Incubator, organizational structure of entrepreneurship business center, contents of entrepreneurship education).

  • The importance of the air and vessel traffic control center is increasing rapidly after the recent accident of 'Sewol ferry'. Aviation, marine, and the logistics sectors are already using monitoring and control technology widely. However, the monitoring and control system for complex and dangerous construction sites operation has yet to be employed. A monitoring/control system is required for effective communication between the control center and the construction equipment fleet at a construction site, and also the exact role that notifies accurate process and identification of hazards on construction sites as needed. Therefore, this paper presents the study about communication between the construction equipment fleet and the control center through the comparison of air traffic, marine, and logistics control systems for the development of construction equipment fleet management system.

Effect of Center Pin in Free Fall Test for a Cylindrical Li-ion Cell (원형 리튬 전지의 센터 핀이 낙하 충격에 미치는 영향)

  • A cylindrical secondary Li-ion cell is a device in which stored chemical energy is converted to electrical energy via an electrochemical reaction. These cells are widely used for applications that require high capacity and rate power, such as notebooks, power tools, and electric vehicles. The role of a center pin is to retain the channel for gas release, preventing blockage of the hollow of the jelly roll during a charge-discharge cycle, and to prevent an internal short circuit for tearing of separator under mechanical free fall. In this paper, two experiments are conducted with and without the center pin to experimentally verify the importance of the role of the center pin. The first experiment is a 50-cycle charge-discharge cycle test, and the second is a free fall test conducted according to the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) standards. Based on these experiments, we demonstrate that the center pin in a cylindrical cell is a very important component in terms of safety.

Reformation of Legislation and System for Improving Seoul Metropolitan Railway Transfer Center and Connection Transportation Facility (수도권 광역철도역 환승센터 및 연계시설확충을 위한 법제도 개선방안)

  • In this paper, 18 railway stations in Gyunggi-do are selected as metropolitan transfer centers out of 203 stations based on three elements. They are the number of passengers, the level of connection transport, and the level of relevant plans. For 18 stations the level of service (LOS) is analyzed for connection transport system. As a result, half of them are found to be below LOS "D". In order to maximize the use of those railway stations, a method is proposed to upgrade the level of service to "C" above. Finally, the improvement plans are suggested for two acts. In the Special Act on Metropolitan Traffic Management of the Metropolitan Region, the central government financial support ratio is suggested from 30% to 50%, from "necessary costs" to "total costs." In the Act on National Integrated Transport System Efficiency, 50% for connection road and 70% for connection raiway are suggested.

Global Service Quality of Service Centers in Automotive Brands to Improve Consumer-brand Relationship Quality (소비자-브랜드 관계 품질 향상을 위한 자동차 브랜드 서비스 센터의 전반적 서비스 품질에 대한 연구)

  • This study aims to examine the impacts of service quality (SQ) on consumer-brand relationship quality (BRQ), the mediation effects of brand trust (BT) in those relationships and the moderated mediation effects of BT by the level of perceived product quality (PQ). A 376 valid sample was obtained from the consumers who have visited the service centers of automotive brands. The findings demonstrate the direct effects of SQ of the service centers in automotive brands on BRQ are not significant, while the mediation effects of BT between SQ and BRQ are significant. Moreover, the findings reveal that the mediation effects of BT in the lower perception group of PQ are stronger than those in the higher group. Based on these findings, not only the necessary roles of a service center to improve BRQ but also the transferring process from service centers' SQ to building a strong brand are discussed.

  • In industrial society, the conversation topic of this period is mainly business start up, and revitalization of business start-up, through creation of new jobs, is playing an important role in employment maximization and revitalization of economy in general; one of those inducements is a start-up business incubation system, in whose center exists a start-up business incubator center. Hereupon, this study is intending to contribute to setting up the efficient operation direction and polity line, and provide a clue to a discussion by empirically analyzing the influence of quality level and degree of assistance of a start-up business incubator on satisfaction. For this purpose, this study developed a questionnaire on the basis of the preceding researches and conducted its research targeting a total of 500 valid samples. As a result of doing research, it was found that the quality level and assistance degree of services provided to a move-in company or a preparator of business start-up has a significant influence on satisfaction with the center & support service, and a manager's capabilities and related technology characteristics had a significant influence on satisfaction.
