Performance Analysis of Iterative Detection Scheme for the D-STTD System

  • This paper combines various detection techniques and analyzes their performances in detecting the transmission information of the D-STTD scheme that uses, in parallel, the STTD scheme known as the Alamouti code. The D-STTD scheme adopts one of the STTD schemes for transmission to acquire diverse effects and uses another form of STTD for multiplexing effects. Due to the multiplexing effect that transmits different data, it is difficult to apply D-STTD to the conventional STTD combining technique. This paper combines the D-STTD system with linear algorithm, SIC algorithm and OSIC algorithm known as multiplexing detection scheme based on MMSE scheme. And we propose the detection scheme of the D-STTD using MAP algorithm and analyze the performance of each system. The simulation results showed that the detector using iterative algorithm has better performance than Linear MMSE Detector. Especially, we can show that the detector using MAP algorithm outperforms conventional detector.

반복 복호화를 사용하는 BLAST-STTC 시스템을 위한 역순서화 기법 (Reverse-Ordering Scheme for BLAST-STTC Systems using Iterative Decoding)

  • 다중 송수신 안테나(Multiple Input Multiple Output : MIMO) 시스템은 높은 데이터율 뿐만 아니라 효율적인 주파수 자원의 활용을 필요로 하는 차세대 이동 통신 시스템에 가장 적합한 시스템 중 하나로 주목받고 있다. 그에 따라 MIMO 전송 데이터율을 높이기 위해 2개의 송신 안테나를 기본으로 하는 STTC 부호화 그룹을 다수 형성하여 전송하고 수신단에서 다른 그룹의 간섭을 제거하는 BLAST-STTC 기법이 제안되었다. 본 논문에서는 모든 그룹이 최대 다이버시티 이득을 얻는 동시에 간섭 제거 기법의 성능을 향상시킬 수 있는 역순서화된 반복 복호화 기법을 제안한다. 그리고 모의실험을 통해 제안된 기법과 기존 기법의 프레임 오류확률(Frame Error Rate : FER) 성능을 비교한다.

반복적 보정에 의한 파랑정보 추출 기법 (Wave information retrieval algorithm based on iterative refinement)

  • 해양의 파랑 파라미터는 해상 교통의 운행과 항해에 있어 안전성과 더불어 효율성을 위해 매우 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 X-대역의 해양 레이더를 이용하여 해류 속도, 파랑 파라미터와 같은 해상의 표현정보를 수집하는데 효율적인 알고리즘을 개발한다. 특히, 제안된 방식은 고정된 제어 방식을 사용하는 것 대신에 반복적인 보정 과정을 채택함으로써, 최적화된 해류 속도를 효과적으로 계산할 뿐만 아니라, 최적화된 방식으로 비용함수를 도입하도록 설계된다. 실험을 통해서 제안한 알고리즘은 기존의 알고리즘에 비해서 파랑 정보를 추출하는데 매우 효과적임을 보인다.

멀티그리드 방법을 이용한 프로펠러 주위의 비압축성 층류유동 계산 (Numerical Simulation of Incompressible Laminar Flow around a Propeller Using the Multigrid Technique)

  • 프로펠러 주위의 비압축성 점성유동을 해석하기 위해 멀티그리드 방법을 이용한 Iterative time marching 방법이 적용되었다. 이 방법은 3차원 비압축성 Navier-Stokes 방정식을 움직이는 비직교 일반 좌표계상에서 풀고 있으며, 시간에 대해서는 1차의 정확도 그리고 공간에 대해서는 2차 또는 3차의 정확도를 가지고 있으며 반복계산의 수렴속도를 가속시키기 위해서 멀티그리드방법을 사용하였다. 또한 본 방법은 Vector나 Parallel컴퓨터에 적용이 매우 간편하다는 장점을 가지고 있다. 본 연구 결과와 실험치 혹은 다른 연구자의 계산 결과와 일반적으로 잘 일치하고 있으며, 멀티그리드 방법은 수렴에 필요한 CPU시간을 단축시키고 해의 정확도도 개선함을 보여주었다.

New Upper Matrix Bounds for the Solution of the Continuous Algebraic Riccati Matrix Equation

  • In this paper, new upper matrix bounds for the solution of the continuous algebraic Riccati equation (CARE) are derived. Following the derivation of each bound, iterative algorithms are developed for obtaining sharper solution estimates. These bounds improve the restriction of the results proposed in a previous paper, and are more general. The proposed bounds are always calculated if the stabilizing solution of the CARE exists. Finally, numerical examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the present schemes.

  • The author considers a Noor-type iterative scheme to approximate com- mon fixed points of an infinite family of uniformly quasi-sup(fn)-Lipschitzian map- pings and an infinite family of gn-expansive mappings in convex cone metric spaces. His results generalize, improve and unify some corresponding results in convex met- ric spaces [1, 3, 9, 16, 18, 19] and convex cone metric spaces [8].

  • Most neural network learning schemes are derived from learning systems which are generally iterative in nature. But, when the given input-output training vector pairs satisfy a PLI condition, the training and the application of a hard-limited neural network can be achieved non-iteratively with very short training time and very robust recognition when it is applied to recognize any untrained patterns. In this paper, a method of expanding the dimension of training pattern data is suggested. The proposed method demonstrates better performance and robustness.

Soft-Decision for Differential Amplify-and-Forward over Time-Varying Relaying Channel

  • Differential detection schemes do not require any channel estimation, which can be employed under user mobility with low computational complexity. In this work, a soft-input soft-output (SISO) differential detection algorithm is proposed for amplify-and-forward (AF) over time-varying relaying channels based cooperative communications system. Furthermore, maximum-likelihood (ML) detector for M-ary differential Phase-shift keying (DPSK) is derived to calculate a posteriori probabilities (APP) of information bits. In addition, when the SISO is exploited in conjunction with channel decoding, iterative detection and decoding approach by exchanging extrinsic information with outer code is obtained. Finally, simulation results show that the proposed non-coherent approach improves detection performance significantly. In particular, the system can obtain greater performance gain under fast-fading channels.

Error-detection-coding-aided iterative hard decision interference cancellation for MIMO systems with HARQ

  • In this paper, an error-detection-coding-aided iterative hard decision interference cancellation (EDC-IHIC) scheme for multiple-input multiple-output systems employing hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) for multi-packet transmission is developed and investigated. In the EDC-IHIC scheme, only packets identified as error-free by the EDC are submitted to the interference cancellation (IC) stage for cancellation from the received signals. Therefore, the possibility of error propagation, including inter-transmission error propagation, can be eliminated using EDC-IHIC. Because EDC must be implemented in systems that employ HARQ to determine packet retransmission, error propagation can be prevented without the need for additional redundancy. The results of simulations conducted herein verify that the EDC-IHIC scheme outperforms conventional hard decision IC schemes in terms of the packet error rate in various environments.

  • In this paper, we suggest and analyze some three step iterative scheme for finding the common elements of the set of the solutions of the extended general variational inequalities involving three operators and the set of the fixed points of nonexpansive mappings. We also consider the convergence analysis of suggested iterative schemes under some mild conditions. Since the extended general variational inequalities include general variational inequalities and several other classes of variational inequalities as special cases, results obtained in this paper continue to hold for these problems. Results obtained in this paper may be viewed as a refinement and improvement of the previously known results.
