The purpose of this study is to identify the item characteristics that are supposed to affect item difficulty and to estimate the regression equations for predicting item difficulty of mathematics in the College Scholastic Ability Test(CSAT). We selected six variables related to item characteristics based on learning theories: contents, cognitive domain, novelty, item type, number of concepts, and the amount of computation. With data of the CSAT mathematics test administered in 2004-2006, item difficulty was regressed on the six variables, the location of an item, and the item writer's judgment on difficulty. The novelty of an item was found to be a statistically insignificant variable in explaining item difficulty. Four regression equations with different sets of independent variables could explain $70%{\sim}80%$ of the item difficulty variance and were validated as predicting item difficulty of the mock CSAT in 2006.
In many papers, item difficulty does apply to the E-Learning system for advance learning effect. But there have to need item revision difficulty for more correct item difficulty. Also, there have to support self-directed learning process which learner can make plan and operate learning progress. In this research, I developed self-directed E-Learning system using item revision difficulty. For efficiency of system development, il is implemented and composited by component based development. In the applied result, it was able to support more correct item revision difficulty to learner. And I displayed efficiency of operation the component based self-directed learning system.
The purpose of this study was to examine particular variables that play a significant role in the difficulty of math test items in College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT). The study also aimed to develop a model of measuring the item difficulty. Variables correlated to item difficulty were drawn from the review of the related literature and the analysis of the content and difficulty of the past test items of CSAT. The first instrument was designed by using the correlated variables. According to the results of correlation analysis, the second instrument was made by deleting the variables which showed relatively low correlation with item difficulty and by refining some variables. Several models were proposed by using the revised instrument. The comparison of the R square and cross validity of each model reveals that integrated regression model was the most stable and accurate among the proposed models. The study also showed that statistically significant predictors were choice format, content domain, behavior domain, and the degree of item familiarity in the order of proportion of variance accounted by the predictors. Despite the limited scope of the present research, it can be suggested that its findings provide useful insights into predicting math test item difficulty.
The purpose of this study was to verify goodness-of-fit by Many-Facets Rasch model for applying martial arts training satisfaction scale to security martial arts trainees. To achieve the purpose, 255 security martial arts trainees' data were used in the analysis. In addition, In addition, the AMOS 20.0 program was used for unidimensionality validation, and take advantage of the Facets 3.61 program for goodness-of-fit verification. Specific results are as follows: First, Unidimensionali test results showed that model fit, reliability and standardized ${\beta}$ value are suitable. Second, the analysis results of goodness-of-fit, items 1, 2, 3 are inadequate, 4, 8, 11, 13, 14 items once found to be over-fit questions. Also, analysis of item difficulty, item 1 has highest difficulty and item 7 was lowest. Third, According Facets item difficulty and response difference verification result, female group exhibited a high level of item difficulty compared to the male group, goodness-of-fit was all accurate. As the result of item difficulty and response difference verification based on Martial arts training flow, there is no response difference according to the training experience. On the other hands, less than 4 years to 5 years and less than 5 years to 6 years trainees represented over-fit features. Results of item difficulty and response difference verification by grade level, first grade was the most highly recognized the item difficulty and fourth grade was also recognized the lowest of item difficulty Fourth, the response category analysis showed that the six points response categories are not appreciate.
A lot of E-Learning system is supplying the existent item difficulty based learning information to learner. And learner is doing learning contents according to the fixed learning course. It is difficult for learner to get efficient learning effect. Because learner has to belong to fixed item difficulty and learning course even thought learner has different degree that understand studying in learning course. This research proposed the learner adaptive E-learning system that is able to control the item difficulty and learning course to analyze the understanding degree of learner in learning course. In this result, learner is able to improve learning effect to get rid of fixed learning course using bi-directed learning such as off-line learning.

Item response theory provides a fixed results about students, regardless of the item difficulty and discrimina-tion and it is also a kind of item analysis methods which provides the same proper competence scores to students in spite of them taking different test repeatedly. In this paper, we researched item difficulty and item discrimina-tion and analyzed items in the national academic aptitude test which were given from 2000 to 2009 in the past 10 years through item response theory, especially, in connection with given items about statistical unit. As a result, we found that about 60 percents of the items were too difficult for high school students to solve, however, item discrimination proved to be great.
Background: Rasch analysis estimates the probability that a respondent will endorse an item and select a particular rating for that item. It has the advantage of placing both the items and the person along a single ration scale and calibrates person ability and item difficulty onto an interval scale by logits. In addition, Rasch analysis is a useful tool for exploring the validity of questionnaires that have been developed using traditional methods. Therefore, it has been recommended as a method for developing and evaluating functional outcome measures. Objects: The purpose of this study was to investigate the item fit, item difficulty, and rating scale of the Korean version of the Fullerton Advanced Balance Scale (KFAB) using Rasch analysis. Methods: Total 97 subjects (39 males and 58 females) with dwelling elderly adults were participated, but 3 people were excluded for misfit persons. Rasch analysis was then done by means of the Winsteps program to determine the item fit, item difficulty, rating scale, and reliability of the KFAB. Results: In this study, the 'standing with feet together and eyes closed', 'two-footed jump', 'walk with head turns', and 'stand on foam, eyes closed' items shown misfit statistics. The most difficult item was 'stand on one leg', whereas the easiest item was 'turn in full circle'. The rating scale was acceptable with all criteria. Both item and person separation indices and reliability showed acceptable values. This would indicated that each domain covers a useful range of item difficulty that is appropriate for measuring a person with a wide range of functional ability. Conclusion: The KFAB has been proven reliable, valid and an appropriate tool with which to evaluate the balance of the elderly people.
The purpose of this study was to validate the Korean version of the Gross Motor Function Measure (GMFM) using Rasch analysis. The data was obtained from the assessments of 59 children with cerebral palsy in Korea and were applied to Rasch's rating scale model to estimate the difficulty and goodness-of-fit of each item. Rasch modeling helped us to identify 76 items from the original 88-item GMFM that form an unidimensional hierarchical scale to rearrange 76 items in order of difficulty. Reliability coefficients of the 88-item and 76-item GMFM were .99 and .99, respectively. In this preliminary report, the Korean version of GMFM seems to have significant validity and reliability. These results may be useful in assessment of gross motor functions in children with cerebral palsy.

The purpose of this paper is to draw problems from analyzing "General Computer" questions of Career Searching Section in the College Scholastic Ability Test in 2005 and 2006 and to offer some suggestions about them. For the qualitative research, this paper analyzed content validity. For the quantitative research, this paper analyzed item difficulty and item discrimination by using Bayesian 1.0 based on 2-parameter item response model and this paper analyzed item reliability and distracters by using Testan 1.0. By analyzing "General Computer" questions, this paper would like to improve the quality of items and estimate item difficulty. Therefore, "General Computer" questions could be suggested as materials for developing reliable and discriminative questions.
A lot of learning systems are applying and verify evaluating the item difficulty to increase learner's learning effect. But most of this methods ware calculated the item difficulty when it analyze the learning result before or after learning. So, it is hard to support learning contents with changing item difficulty during learning to learner. In this research, we proposed the method that system can support learning contents to next learning to fit leaner's level immediately as apply to calculate item difficulty during the proceed learning. Through this method, learner could supported learning contents by calculated difficulty through pre-test and it caused this method was helped learner to increase learning effect.
