  • The latest measure of the relative evolutionary age of protein structure families was applied (based on taxonomic diversity) using the protein structural interactome map (PSIMAP). It confirms that, in general, protein domains, which are hubs in this interaction network, are older than protein domains with fewer interaction partners. We apply a hypothesis of 'biological network evolution' to explain the positive correlation between interaction and age. It agrees to the previous suggestions that proteins have acquired an increasing number of interaction partners over time via the stepwise addition of new interactions. This hypothesis is shown to be consistent with the scale-free interaction network topologies proposed by other groups. Closely co-evolved structural interaction and the dynamics of network evolution are used to explain the highly conserved core of protein interaction pathways, which exist across all divisions of life.

  • This study is about the effect of interaction and flow of consumers within the company SNS on the consumers' affection. Verification took place through empirical analysis based on the theoretical background. The following is the summary of the research results generated based on the research results. First, correlation between aspect of the motivation for the use of contents and interactivity is as follows. Mutual sense of solidarity (Hypothesis 1-1), influence (Hypothesis 1-2), connectivity (Hypothesis 1-3) and reactivity (Hypothesis 1-4) exerted positive(+) on the interaction. Second, correlation between aspect of the motivation for the use of contents and flow is as follows. Mutual sense of solidarity (Hypothesis 2-1), influence (Hypothesis 2-2) and connectivity (Hypothesis 2-3) exerted positive(+) effect on immersion. Meanwhile, reactivity (Hypothesis 1-4) was not statistically significant when it comes to flow. Third, interaction between contents characteristics and interaction exerted positive(+) positive on the interactivity of entertainingness (Hypothesis 3-1) and informativity (Hypothesis 3-2). Fourth, correlation between contents characteristics and flow was examined, which demonstrated that only informativity (Hypothesis 4-2) exerted positive(+) effect on the immersion. Meanwhile, entertainingness was not statistically significant when it comes to the immersion. Lastly, correlation between interaction, flow and affection is as follows. Correlation between interactivity and flow(Hypothesis 5) was not statistically significant while interactivity(Hypothesis 6) and Flow(Hypothesis 7) exerted positive(+) effect on the affection. This study presents diverse implications and significances to the working level people who use the company SNS based on these results.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the verbal interaction during elementary students' hypothesis generation learning. For this study, 32 6th graders were selected and were assorted into heterogeneous small-groups by achievement levels. The topics of hypothesis generation learning were developed by analyzing the current elementary school curriculum. Each group's verbal interactions were audio/video taped and transcribed. After coding the protocol and having student retrospective interview, types and frequency of verbal interaction were analyzed. The frequency of verbal interaction during observation was highest and that of questioning situation identification was lowest. Regarding to the quality of verbal interactions, low level interactions were significantly frequent during observation. On the other hand, hypothetical explicans generation revealed high frequency of high level interactions. The results revealed that elementary students can make high level verbal interactions through hypothesis generation learning.

  • This study investigated the isolation hypothesis and the buffer hypothesis of Demand-Control-Support model in relation to activity satisfaction and psychological well-being. The subjects were 300 elderly women participating in productive activity for example paid work, voluntary activity, and grancdhildren care. This research tested four hypotheses concerning the DCS model. Is there support for the isolation hypothesis, such that the lowest level of activity satisfaction is experienced by the elderly women working in an isolation situation(high demand-low control-low support)? Is there support for the isolation hypothesis, such that the lowest level of psychological well-being is experienced by the elderly women working in an isolation situation(high demand-low control-low support)? Is there support for the buffer hypothesis, i. e. interaction between demand, control, and support, indicating a buffering effect of support on the negative impact of high strain on activity satisfaction? Is there support for the buffer hypothesis, i. e. interaction between demand, control, and support, indicating a buffering effect of support on the negative impact of high strain on psychological well-being? Major results of this study were as follows. and were supported. Activity satisfaction and psychological well-being of the elderly women in isolation situation was the lowest among the sample. was supported that family support level buffered the negative impact of high strain on activity satisfaction. But was not supported. Only main effect of demand level was showed on psychological well-being.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the moderating effect of emotional intelligence in the relationship between transformational leadership and organizational citizenship behavior. To achieve this research purpose, theoretical and empirical studies related to transformational leadership, organizational citizenship behavior, and emotional intelligence were carried out simultaneously. A field survey was undertaken through questionnaire sampling a population of public organization in Chungchungnamdo. The established hypotheses related to transformational leadership, organizational citizenship behavior, and emotional intelligence were verified by the hierarchical regression analysis using SPSS. The result of this research are as followers : First, hypothesis1 proposed that emotional intelligence will be moderate the effect of charisma on organizational citizenship behavior. The hierarchical regression analysis revealed that moderation term was insignificant. The interaction term for charisma and emotional intelligence had a insignificant and positive relationship with organizational citizenship behavior. Therefore, hypothesis1 was not supported by the data. Second. hypothesis2 stated that emotional intelligence will be moderate the effects of inspirational motivation on organizational citizenship behavior. Hypothesis2 The result of the hierarchical regression analysis show a insignificant interaction between inspirational motivation and emotional intelligence on organizational citizenship behavior. Therefore, hypothesis2 was not supported by the data. Third, hypothesis3 stated that emotional intelligence will moderate the effect of intellectual stimulation on organizational citizenship behavior. The result of the hierarchical regression analysis show a significant interaction between intellectual stimulation and emotional intelligence on organizational citizenship behavior. Therefore, hypothesis3 was supported by the data. Fourth, hypothesis4 proposed that emotional intelligence will moderate effect of individualized consideration on organizational citizenship behavior. The hierarchical regression analysis revealed that the interaction term for individualized consideration and emotional intelligence had a significant and positive relationship with organizational citizenship behavior. Therefore, hypothesis4 was supported by the data. This study revealed that emotional intelligence moderate the relationship between intellectual stimulation, individualized consideration, and organizational citizenship behavior. It concludes that organizational citizenship behavior varies with coalignment of transformational leadership and emotional intelligence.

  • This study aims at finding relationships between the competitiveness of cities and the size or distance of them, based on some premises; (1) the competitiveness can be measured on the interval-ratio level, that is, factor scores, (2) a hypothesis that the spatial interaction model is valid for the relationships can be generally accepted. Based on the general recognition a research hypothesis that the more is the population or the nearer is the distance from a central city the higher is the competitiveness score is constructed. According to the premises 5-factor scores and composite score are calculated by means of regression method, and the scores are regressed on cities' populations and distances from Seoul city. Using bootstrapping method for the tests of significance is effective due to small sample of 21 cities. Results of the analyses show that most aspects of the hypothesis should be rejected or adjusted. Scores on Health-welfare factor, public service factor, and commercial vitality factor have no relation to the cities' sizes or distances. But the results also find the facts that the strong (negative) relationships exist between (1) educational base factor score and population, (2) density factor score and distance. Although this study improves systematic and analytic understanding of spatial interaction patterns, the understanding should be invalid for the general context because it has used the data on 21 cities in the capital region at the time of 2009.

  • The purpose of this study is to compare the difference in the interactions between beginning language learners and heritage learners on their forms based on the interaction hypothesis. In this study, three types of information gap activities were used to analyze Language Related Episodes (LREs) while investigating the interaction patterns in language use between four pairs (eight learners) of foreign learners and four pairs (eight learners) of English-speaking heritage learners. The result indicated that foreign learners had a high focus on form during interaction. In particular, they had a tendency to focus on vocabulary rather than grammar, and they conducted self-repair by examining and mostly adjusting their speech to postposition and tense. However, in the problem-solving process, they showed a limited ability in interaction, and thus directly asked others to settle the problem or resorted to using English due to their lack of ability to employ various communication strategies. However, heritage learners had a relatively low focus on form compared to foreign learners. Yet, they also focused more on vocabulary rather than grammar and conducted self-repair in interaction, especially for vocabulary. In addition, they were skillful at using various communication strategies such as indirect expressions, use of alternative words, evasion, and delaying, to expand speech and prevent communication breakdown. They focused less on grammar and mostly did not provide negative feedback in interaction.

  • Purpose - This study empirically analyzed the effect of the customer orientation in Insurance Salespersons on the perceived referral risk and referral intention. In the empirical study, we try to provide suggestions for reducing the perceived referral risk of customer oriented selling activities and improving the referral intentions according to customers' tendencies. Research design, data, and methodology - Data collection was conducted through the convenience sampling method for customers who had insurance coverage for about two months from March to May 2015. A total of 700 copies were distributed and 670 copies (95.7% recovery) were collected. Finally, 661 copies were used for final analysis. With the IBM PASW 22.0 statistical program. The interaction effect for the hypothesis test was generated by multiplying the average centralized independent variable and the control variable, and the average centralization variable was used to minimize the multi-collinearity problem of the interaction effect between the independent variable and the control variables. Results - Hypothesis 1 was adopted because the effect of customer-oriented selling activities on perceived referral risk were significantly negative. The effect of customer orientation on perceived referral risk is affected by innovative tendency, risk-taking tendency, and interpersonal tendency Interaction effect was observed. Therefore, Hypothesis 2-2, Hypothesis 2-3, Hypothesis 2-4 were adopted. The effect of customer-oriented selling activities on referral intention was significantly positive, and Hypothesis 3 was adopted. The effect of customer orientation was influenced by the interaction effect of innovative tendency. Therefore, only Hypothesis 4-2 was adopted. Finally, the effect of perceived referral risk on referral intention was significantly negative and hypothesis 5 was adopted. Conclusions - This study suggests that it is important for the salespeople to grasp the customers' propensity in consideration of the perceived referral risk and referral intention according to the moderating effect of customer orientation. In this study, we showed that customer-oriented selling activities positively influence referral intention by inducing perceived referral risk in customers with stronger risk-taking tendencies. It is thought that it will be an important basic data in designing a customer's selling strategy or conducting selling activities.

  • The hypothesis of ridge subduction which explains the Cretaceous igneous activities in East Asia including China, Korea and Japan, has been widely accepted in the society. Especially, the hypothesis explains the southwest-to-northeast migration of the Cretaceous adakite emergence in Southwest Japan. However, the hypothesis has several issues because the geochemical analyses and plate reconstruction model are not consistent with the consequences of the ridge subduction. To resolve the issues, a new hypothesis of the plume-continent and plume-slab interaction is suggested, which explains the igneous activities during the Cretaceous. In this review, I briefly introduce the two hypotheses and suggest an additional future study to prove the new hypothesis.

  • This article explores bilateralization phenomena in Korean families through intimacy and interaction with matrilineal kins. In-depth interviews were conducted with married men and women aged from their mid-30s to mid-40s. The findings indicate that the intimacy range of participants was restricted to blood-based kins. The power hypothesis was supported for male participants. Some wanted to actively contact their spouse's family members, while others did not want to be connected with the spouse's families. Interaction with wives' families was based on the exchange perspective. In contrast, a complicated mechanism existed in the intimacy and interaction of female participants. Most of them were connected with in-laws in a passive way but actively interacted with their family-of-origin. However, some female respondents did not have good relationships with their mothers. Undifferentiation between mothers and married daughters negatively influenced their relationships. Therefore, it could be concluded that bilateralization phenomena in Korean families is another kind of shackle of patrilineal norms.
