손가락 힘 통제 특성에 기반한 운동의지장애의 정량적 평가 방법 개발 (Development of a Quantitative Assessment Method of Finger Force Control Capabilities forMotor Intentional Disorders)

  • Motor intentional disorders have been studied by visual examination methods such as cross-response task and Luria loop. To provide more analytical, quantitative information for motor intentional disorders, the present study developed a method which evaluates force control capabilities by the index finger. The assessment method analyzes the finger force control capabilities at four stages(initiation, development, maintenance, and termination) with NK Pinch-GripTM(force resolution= 0.098 N; temporal resolution=50Hz). By applying the assessment method, a patient(age=66) with callosal legion was compared with 6 healthy males(mean age=65.5, SD=2.8), showing significant but different decreases in force control capabilities depending on hand and response location. The assessment method would be of use to better understand various aspects of motor intentional disorders such as the effects of the disorders to the neurological network of the brain and severity assessment of the disorders.

블레이드 디스크의 Mistuning 패턴 최적화에 미치는 Mistuning 강도의 영향 (Mistuning Intensity Effect to Optimization of Mistuning Pattern for Bladed Disk)

  • 일반적으로 터보 기계에서 mistuning은 구조적, 기하학적인 면에서의 blade와 blade사이의 미소한 특성의 차이를 의미하며, 이러한 미소한 차이가 강제 진동 시, 발생하는 진동 에너지가 몇 개의 blade 또는 하나의 blade에 집중되어 매우 큰 진동을 야기 시킬 수 있다는 사실이 여러 논문들에 언급되고 있다. 또한 mistuning에 대한 blade 시스템의 강제진동응답의 감도를 줄이기 위하여, intentional mistuning개념을 설계단계에 도입하려고 하는 연구도 진행되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 두 가지 형태의 blade만을 사용하여 bladed disk의 강제진동응답을 최소화 할 수 있는 intentional mistuning의 pattern 최적화에 미치는 mistuning intensity 영향을 조사하였고 최적화 알고리즘으로 유전알고리즘을 사용하였다.

암 생존자의 외상 후 성장 영향요인: Double ABCX 가족스트레스 모델의 적용 (Posttraumatic Growth in Cancer Survivors: The Application of Double ABCX Family Stress Model)

  • 본 연구는 Double ABCX 가족스트레스 모델을 기반으로 암 생존자가 지각한 가족스트레스, 지지자원, 의도적 반추, 대처행동이 외상 후 성장에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구대상은 배우자와 함께 살고 있는 암 생존자 200명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고 응답한 자료는 AMOS 프로그램을 이용하여 경로분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과 첫째, 암 생존자가 지각한 가족스트레스는 지지자원, 의도적 반추, 대처행동에 직접적인 영향을 미치고, 지지자원, 의도적 반추, 대처행동을 통해 외상 후 성장에 간접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 지지자원, 의도적 반추, 대처행동은 외상 후 성장에 직접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 지지자원과 의도적 반추는 대처행동에 직접적인 영향을 미칠 뿐 아니라 대처행동을 통해 외상 후 성장에 간접적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 암 생존자의 외상 후 성장을 예측하는데 Double ABCX 가족스트레스 모델이 적용될 수 있음을 입증해 주었다.

블레이드 디스크의 International Mistuning 최적화 : 감쇠와 커플링효과 (Optimization of Intentional Mistuning for Bladed Disk : Damping and Coupling Effect)

  • 터보기계에서 mistuning은 구조적, 기하학적인 측면에서의 blade와 blade 사이의 미소한 특성차이를 의미하며, blade의 제작과정이나 운전 중 발생하는 마모의 차이에 의해 발생한다고 알려져 있다. Blade사이에서 발생하는 이러한 미소한 차이가 강제 진동 시 아주 큰 국부진동을 야기 시킬 수 있다는 사실이 여러 논문들에 의해 확인되었다. 최근에는 조화패턴의 intentional mistuning 배열을 사용하여 제작 및 사용 중에 발생하는 unintentional mistuning에 의한 blade의 강제진동 응답을 줄일 수 있다는 연구가 발표되었다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 두 가지 형태의 blade(A와 B)를 사용하고, blade감쇠와 coupling 효과를 고려하여 bladed disk의 강제진동응답을 줄일 수 있는 intentional mistuning의 최적배열패턴을 인공지능 알고리즘의 하나인 유전알고리즘과 steepest descent법을 이용하여 구하고자 한다. 그리고 단순 bladed disk와 17-bladed로 된 산업체 로터의 수치예제를 통하여 intentional mistuning 된 bladed disk의 이점을 증명하려고 한다.

Classification between Intentional and Natural Blinks in Infrared Vision Based Eye Tracking System

  • Objective: The aim of this study is to classify between intentional and natural blinks in vision based eye tracking system. Through implementing the classification method, we expect that the great eye tracking method will be designed which will perform well both navigation and selection interactions. Background: Currently, eye tracking is widely used in order to increase immersion and interest of user by supporting natural user interface. Even though conventional eye tracking system is well focused on navigation interaction by tracking pupil movement, there is no breakthrough selection interaction method. Method: To determine classification threshold between intentional and natural blinks, we performed experiment by capturing eye images including intentional and natural blinks from 12 subjects. By analyzing successive eye images, two features such as eye closed duration and pupil size variation after eye open were collected. Then, the classification threshold was determined by performing SVM(Support Vector Machine) training. Results: Experimental results showed that the average detection accuracy of intentional blinks was 97.4% in wearable eye tracking system environments. Also, the detecting accuracy in non-wearable camera environment was 92.9% on the basis of the above used SVM classifier. Conclusion: By combining two features using SVM, we could implement the accurate selection interaction method in vision based eye tracking system. Application: The results of this research might help to improve efficiency and usability of vision based eye tracking method by supporting reliable selection interaction scheme.

Predictors of intentional intoxication using decision tree modeling analysis: a retrospective study

  • Objective The suicide rate in South Korea is very high and is expected to increase in coming years. Intoxication is the most common suicide attempt method as well as one of the common reason for presenting to an emergency medical center. We used decision tree modeling analysis to identify predictors of risk for suicide by intentional intoxication. Methods A single-center, retrospective study was conducted at our hospital using a 4-year registry of the institute from January 1, 2013 to December 31, 2016. Demographic factors, such as sex, age, intentionality, therapeutic adherence, alcohol consumption, smoking status, physical disease, cancer, psychiatric disease, and toxicological factors, such as type of intoxicant and poisoning severity score were collected. Candidate risk factors based on the decision tree were used to select variables for multiple logistic regression analysis. Results In total, 4,023 patients with intoxication were enrolled as study participants, with 2,247 (55.9%) identified as cases of intentional intoxication. Reported annual percentages of intentional intoxication among patients were 628/937 (67.0%), 608/1,082 (56.2%), 536/1,017 (52.7), 475/987 (48.1%) from 2013 to 2016. Significant predictors identified based on decision tree analysis were alcohol consumption, old age, psychiatric disease, smoking, and male sex; those identified based on multiple regression analysis were alcohol consumption, smoking, male sex, psychiatric disease, old age, poor therapeutic adherence, and physical disease. Conclusion We identified important predictors of suicide risk by intentional intoxication. A specific and realistic approach to analysis using the decision tree modeling technique is an effective method to determine those groups at risk of suicide by intentional intoxication.

간호대학생의 임상실습 적용을 위한 의도적 간호순회 프로토콜 개발 (Development of an intentional rounding protocol for nursing undergraduates to apply in clinical practice)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to develop an intentional rounding protocol to enhance the clinical competence of nursing students. Methods: An intentional rounding protocol for nursing students' clinical practice was developed following the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. A convenient sampling method was used to select 23 junior year university nursing students during their clinical practice in adult nursing. The program evaluation included a quantitative assessment (communication and relationship efficacy, empathy, and patient safety competency) and focus group interviews. Results: The intentional rounding protocol focused on the 4Ps (pain, position, potty, and possessions) and encompassed aspects such as level of consciousness, pain management, personal care needs, intravenous injection, oxygen administration, nasogastric/nasoenteric tube care, maintenance of urine collection bags, and the identification of environmental fall risks. Nursing students performed intentional rounding at least twice a day. Following the implementation of this protocol, nursing students demonstrated a significant improvement in communication and interpersonal efficacy. The focus group interviews revealed four main themes: growth of human relationships, acquiring knowledge in and about the clinical field, becoming a nurse, and barriers in reality. Conclusion: The intentional rounding protocol has the potential to enhance nursing students' communication and interpersonal skills during clinical practice and to provide them with positive experiences in nursing clinical education. Therefore, it is recommended that this protocol be incorporated into nursing clinical practice education.

지연된 의도적 재식술을 통한 치주 조직 재생 방법의 고찰 (Delayed intentional replantation: new approach for periodontal regeneration and establishment of theoretical background)

  • Purpose: Delayed intentional replantation was introduced as a new alternative to treat the teeth with severe periodontal involvement. The purpose of this study was to elucidate the possibility of delayed intentional replantation and establish theoretical backgrounds. Materials and Methods: Studies were performed into the following two subjects; (1)Clinical evaluation of patients who underwent delayed intentional replantation using clinical and radiographic data. Severe periodontitis involved teeth were carefully extracted and proper time for delayed replantation was evaluated by analyzing inflammation markers (IL-6, TNF-${\alpha}$). (2) Theoretical studies for efficacy of delayed intentional replantation using (-)-Epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) for preservation of periodontal ligament cells on root surface by minimizing inflammation and treatment of inflammatory extraction sockets. Results: Meaningful success ratio and survival rate were found in delayed intentional replantation showing reduced bone loss and maintained bone level. Additionally, viability of EGCG applied periodontal ligament cells was much higher than control group. Also, EGCG promoted healing of inflammatory extraction sockets by inhibiting inflammatory cell proliferation. Conclusion: Within the limitations of this study, 1-2 weeks after extraction is an appropriate time to do delayed intentional replantation. Also, EGCG provides helpful effects on viability of periodontal ligament cells and periodontium.

어깨위로 들어올리기 작업시 의도적인 복근수축이 요부근 활성도와요추신전각도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Intentional Abdominal Muscle Contraction on Lumbar Muscle Activities andLumbar Extension During Lifting Above the Shoulders)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the effect intentional contraction of abdominal muscles during lifting above shoulder on the muscles activities of the lower trunk and on the degree of lumbar extension. Fifteen healthy adult males were selected as test subjects. A 5kg weight was raised to the shoulder level, 20cm, and 40cm above the shoulder level. EMG activities of all muscles except the rectus abdominis were significantly greater when subjects were asked to contract their abdominal muscles intentionally during lifting(p<0.05). Degree of lumbar extension also significantly decreased with intentional abdominal contraction during the lifting. Also, degree of lumbar extension significantly increased with increase in lifting height(p<0.05). The results of this study show that intentional contraction of abdominal muscles during lifting above shoulder increases the EMG activities of external abdominis oblique, internal abdominis oblique, and erector spinae.

의도적 재식술을 위한 비외상성 안전 발치법 (Atraumatic Safe Extraction for Intentional Replantation)

  • Intentional replantation is useful for failed cases of conventional dental treatment - including root canal treatment - to restore the tooth in question. Based on a recent study, it is relatively very successful; prognosis is good for a long period. On the other hand, a tooth that becomes an indication of intentional replantation is often severely weakened throughout several treatments. Moreover, with multi-rooted teeth, extracting without root fracture is difficult. Safe extraction that is free of coronal or root fracture is important, but little information is known as to a concrete, safe way of extraction. There are a few considerations for safe extraction. First, a tooth with orthodontic extrusion force is easier for extraction due to its increased mobility; it increases the amount of the periodontal ligament, which is essential for re-attachment. As a safe way of extraction, the use of physics forceps has been introduced recently; it minimizes damage to the gingiva and alveolar hone. This paper reports the good result of using atraumatic safe extraction via both orthodontic extrusion and physics forceps$^{(R)}$.
