BIPV System Design to Enhance Electric Power Generation by Building up a Demonstration Mock-up and Analyzing Statistical Data (실증 목업의 구축 및 데이터의 통계적 분석을 통한 건물일체형 태양광 발전시스템의 전력발전 향상 설계)

  • In building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) systems, power generation functions are integrated into building functions by installing solar modules in combination with building materials. While this integration appears to be attractive, a design method is needed to achieve maximum power generation. Previously, the influence of the design elements on power generation was analyzed by computer simulations and demonstration tools. On the other hand, problems remain due to the inaccuracy of power generation analysis and relationship analysis, and limited demonstration. To solve this problem, this paper proposed the use of an extended demonstration mock-up. The mock-up was designed and constructed by implementing the design elements of the module types, installation angles, and direction. The actual operation data for one year were analyzed to evaluate the effects of the design elements on power generation. These results can be used to determine the feasibility of future BIPV systems and the optimal selection of system design elements.

  • There are many researches which analyze vulnerability for combat systems, have been progressing, and apply the analyzed result to reflect on design phase. Recently, there have been requirements for integrating the previous module based researches which conducted independently. In this paper, we propose an integrated vulnerability analysis method for the combat system considering characteristics of threats and protection performance of armors through an analysis of the advanced research. In addition, by applying the proposed method improves the existing hit probability analysis program and we are verified based on scenarios for improving survivability of PKM (Petrol Killer Medium) for vulnerability analysis confirmed the results. The proposed method improves reliability of vulnerability analysis by considering threats and defense ability. Also it able to satisfied with the integration requirements. Furthermore, we became buildup for the development of applied system and the method and integrated vulnerability analysis method for combat systems.

Flexural and Buckling Analysis of Laminated Composite Beams with Bi- and Mono-Symmetric Cross-Sections (이축 및 일축 대칭단면 적층복합 보의 휨과 좌굴해석)

  • A generalized laminated composite beam element is presented for the flexural and buckling analysis of laminated composite beams with double and single symmetric cross-sections. Based on shear-deformable beam theory, the present beam model accounts for transverse shear and warping deformations, as well as all coupling terms caused by material anisotropy. The plane stress and plane strain assumptions were used along with the cross-sectional stiffness coefficients obtained from the analytical technique for different cross-sections. Two types of one-dimensional beam elements with seven degrees-of-freedom per node, including warping deformation, i.e., three-node and four-node elements, are proposed to predict the flexural behavior of symmetric or anti-symmetric laminated beams. To alleviate the shear-locking problem, a reduced integration scheme was employed in this study. The buckling load of laminated composite beams under axial compression was then calculated using the derived geometric block stiffness. To demonstrate the accuracy and efficiency of the proposed beam elements, the results based on three-node beam element were compared with those of other researchers and ABAQUS finite elements. The effects of coupling and shear deformation, support conditions, load forms, span-to-height ratio, lamination architecture on the flexural response, and buckling load of composite beams were investigated. The convergence of two different beam elements was also performed.

  • This article describes a simplified mathematical model and the relevant numerical algorithm to simulate the draped cloth on virtual human body. The proposed algorithm incorporates an elliptical, or non-consecutive, method to simulate the cloth wrinkles on moving bodies without resorting to the result of the past time-steps of drape simulation. A global-local analysis technique was employed to decompose the drape of cloths into the global deformation and the local wrinkles that will be superposed linearly The global deformation is determined directly by the rotation and the translation of body parts to generate a wrinkle-free yet globally deformed shape of cloth. The local wrinkles are calculated by solving simple elliptical equations based on the orthogonality between conjugate harmonic functions representing the wrinkle amplitude and the direction of wrinkles. The proposed method requires no interpolative time frames even for discontinuous body postures. Standing away from the incremental approach of time integration in conventional methods, the proposed method yields a remarkable reduction of CPU time and an enhanced stability. Also, the transient motion of cloth could be achieved by interpolating between the deformations corresponding to each static posture.

  • Processing LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging) data obtained from ALS (Airborne Laser Scanning) systems mainly involves organization and segmentation of the data for 3D object modeling and mapping purposes. The ALS systems are viable and becoming more mature technology in various applications. ALS technology requires complex integration of optics, opto-mechanics and electronics in the multi-sensor components, Le. data captured from GPS, INS and laser scanner. In this study, digital image processing techniques mainly were implemented to gray level coded image of the LiDAR data for building extraction and superstructures segmentation. One of the advantages to use gray level image is easy to apply various existing digital image processing algorithms. Gridding and quantization of the raw LiDAR data into limited gray level might introduce smoothing effect and loss of the detail information. However, smoothed surface data that are more suitable for surface patch segmentation and modeling could be obtained by the quantization of the height values. The building boundaries were precisely extracted by the robust edge detection operator and regularized with shape constraints. As for segmentation of the roof structures, basically region growing based and gap filling segmentation methods were implemented. The results present that various image processing methods are applicable to extract buildings and to segment surface patches of the superstructures on the roofs. Finally, conceptual methodology for extracting characteristic information to reconstruct roof shapes was proposed. Statistical and geometric properties were utilized to segment and model superstructures. The simulation results show that segmentation of the roof surface patches and modeling were possible with the proposed method.

  • 실시간 교통정보 처리과정은 현장설비로부터 수집되는 각종 교통상황자료를 분석/처리하여 소통상황, 주행속도, 통행시간 등의 교통상황을 단기 예측하는 과정으로서 이는 주행안내시스템의 핵심요소기술이다. 주행안내 시스템 개발의 필요성은 선진국을 중심으로 제기되어 왔으며, 주행안내시스템은 각국 정부의 강력한 지원정책을 바탕으로 연구개발 단계를 거쳐 시범운영의 단계에 있다. 국내에서도 교통정체의 해소와 안전주행의 연구개발 단계를 거쳐 시범운영의 단계에 있다. 국내에서도 교통정체의 해소와 안전주행의 여건마련을 위하여 교통정보를·처리·제공하는 기술의 개발이 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 그러나 국내 기술수준을 보면 전자통신기술을 바탕으로 교통정보의 수집과 제공에 관한 연구는 어느 정도 진행되고 있으나 운전자가 필요로 하는 교통정보의 분석과 처리에 관한 연구는 매우 저조한 실정이다. 본 연구의 목적은 다양한 시스템에서 수집되는 자료를 종합적으로 처리, 저장,관리하고 이의 분석결과를 제공하는 교통정보센터의 프로토타입(Prototype)을 설정하는 것이다. 이러한 목표를 수행하기 위해서 요구되는 교통정보실험실의 기능은 수집된 교통자료의 신뢰성 분석, 교통정보의 종합적인 처리·저장·관리, 그리고 교통정보의 제공은 구분할 수 있다. 따라서, 현재 교통정보실험실에서 운영중인 정보의 형태를 제시하며, 이들 정보의 신뢰성을 실측자료와 비교한 실험적 결과를 예시한다. 또한, 개별 정보이용자에게 실시간 교통정보를 제공하기 위한 통신기술의 검토가 이루어진다. 차내 이용자에게 정보를 실시간으로 제공하기 위해서는 궁극적으로 무선통신기술의 응용이 필요하며, 정보이용자에게 다양한 정보를 제공하기 위해서 인터넷 통신과 연계시키는 것이 합리적으로 판단된다. 결론 부분에서는 교통정보실험실의 기능을 강화시키기 위한 향후의 연구과제를 제시한다.Si결정의 크기를 비교하였을 때 45$\mu\textrm{m}$ 이하의 분말을 섞어 압출하였을 때 가장 작은 초정 Si입자 크기를 얻음 을 볼 수 있었다. 주의 Fairfax County에 소재한 주간 고속도로 66번(I-66)과 인접 교통망의 교통자료를 사용하여 각종 돌발교통 혼잡 상황을 전제로 한 Traffic Simulation과 정보제공시나\리오를 INTEGRATION Model을 이용해 실행하였다. 그 결과 적응형 알고리즘이 개개인의 최단시간 경로를 제공하는 사용자 평형 경로안내전략에 비해 교통혼잡도와 정체시간의 체류정도에 따라 3%에서 10%까지 전체통행시간을 절약할 수 있다는 결론을 얻었다.출발참, 구성대외개방선면축심, 실현국제항선적함접화국내항반적전항, 형성다축심복사식항선망; 가강기장건설, 개피포동제이국제기장건설, 괄응포동개발경제발전적수요. 부화개시일은 각 5월 26일과 5월 22일이었다. 11. 6월 중순에 애벌레를 대상으로 처리한 Phenthoate EC가 96.38%의 방제가로 약효가 가장 우수하였고 3월중순 및 4월중순 월동후 암컷을 대상으로 처리한 Machine oil, Phenthoate EC 및 Trichlorfon WP는 비교적 약효가 낮았다.>$^{\circ}$E/$\leq$30$^{\circ}$NW 단열군이 연구지역 내에서 지하수 유동성이 가장 높은 단열군으로 추정된다. 이러한 사실은 3개 시추공을 대상으로 실시한 시추공 내 물리검층과 정압주입시험에서도 확인된다..   • Phaeodactylum tricornutum is a model diatom that its genomic information and biological tools are well established. In this study, a gene encoding (E)-4-hydroxy-3-methylbut-2-enyl diphosphate reductase (PtHDR), a terminal enzyme of the methylerythritol phosphate pathway regulating chlorophyll and carotenoid biosynthesis, was isolated from P. tricornutum. The isolated gene was cloned into pPha-T1 vector containing fcpA promoter to prepare pPha-T1-HDR plasmid. As a positive control, pPha-T1-eGFP plasmid was constructed with egfp gene. Stable nuclear transformation was carried out with these plasmids by particle bombardment method and zeocin resistant colonies of P. tricornutum were selected on f/2 agar plate. In result, transformation efficiency was evaluated according to the amount of plasmid DNA coated with gold particles. Integration of introduced plasmids was confirmed with genomic DNA of each transformant by polymerase chain reaction. The eGFP fluorescence was visible in the cytoplasm, indicating that eGFP was successively expressed in P. tricornutum system. The transcript level of exogenous Pthdr gene was evaluated with the obtained transformants. The results presented here demonstrated that introduction of Pthdr gene into P. tricornutum chromosome succeeded and expression of PtHDR was enhanced under the fcpA promoter.

Development of District-level Planning Support System by using GIS (GIS를 활용한 상세계획 지원시스템의 개발)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the District-level Planning Support System (DPSS) by using GIS. The district-level planning which is related for district-level control of city, needs the various parcel-level information which is composing the urban physical environment. The information has to be stored and analyzed for recognizing the study area, then the district-level planning will be efficiently managed. The use of GIS in the process of district-level planning is restricted for the creation of thematic map. GIS is not used for the analysis of spatial patterns and planning process. This study evaluates the characteristics of current district-level planning and the basic components of urban physical environment. And the database model is built. The topology among components is defined by using the spatial relationship. Then the spatial query machine for district-level planing is developed by using ArcView 3.1, Avenue and Dialog Extension. This spatial query machine is applied for case study. This study shows 1) the possibility of the district-level planning support system for analyzing spatial relationship, 2) the needs of the up-to-date topographic map showing current building's footlines and the complete integration with cadastral maps, it will reduce the uncertainty in the spatial decision making process, 3) the methodology for the construction of spatial decision making rules, 4) the further study for the using of raster, network, image and three dimension data.

A Method for Body Keypoint Localization based on Object Detection using the RGB-D information (RGB-D 정보를 이용한 객체 탐지 기반의 신체 키포인트 검출 방법)

  • Recently, in the field of video surveillance, a Deep Learning based learning method has been applied to a method of detecting a moving person in a video and analyzing the behavior of a detected person. The human activity recognition, which is one of the fields this intelligent image analysis technology, detects the object and goes through the process of detecting the body keypoint to recognize the behavior of the detected object. In this paper, we propose a method for Body Keypoint Localization based on Object Detection using RGB-D information. First, the moving object is segmented and detected from the background using color information and depth information generated by the two cameras. The input image generated by rescaling the detected object region using RGB-D information is applied to Convolutional Pose Machines for one person's pose estimation. CPM are used to generate Belief Maps for 14 body parts per person and to detect body keypoints based on Belief Maps. This method provides an accurate region for objects to detect keypoints an can be extended from single Body Keypoint Localization to multiple Body Keypoint Localization through the integration of individual Body Keypoint Localization. In the future, it is possible to generate a model for human pose estimation using the detected keypoints and contribute to the field of human activity recognition.

Calculation of Deflection Using the Acceleration Data for Concrete Bridges (가속도 계측 자료를 이용한 콘크리트 교량의 처짐 산정)

  • This paper describes a numerical modeling for deflection calculation using the natural frequency response that is measured acceleration response for concrete bridges. In the formulation of the dynamic deflection, the change amounts and the transformed responses about six kinds of free vibration responses are defined totally. The predicted response can be obtained from the measured acceleration data without requiring the knowledge of the initial velocity and displacement information. The relationship between the predicted response and the actual deflection is derived using the mathematical modeling that is induced by the process of a acceleration test data. In this study, in order to apply the proposed response predicted model to the integration scheme of the natural frequency domain, the Fourier Fast Transform of the deflection response is separated into the frequency component of the measured data. The feasibility for field application of the proposed calculation method is tested by the mode superposition method using the PSC-I bridges superstructures under several cases of moving load and results are compared with the actually measured deflections using transducers. It has been observed that the proposed method can asses the deflection responses successfully when the measured acceleration signals include the vehicle loading state and the free vibration behavior.
