  • New concept of hybrid divisible load theory is introduced in this paper. Hybrid system deals with a combination of modularly divisible load and arbitrarily divisible load. Main idea of hybrid divisible load theory is introduced with a simple example. A condition of optimality is derived for the hybrid case.

  • A novel sufficient condition of discretized equivalent control based sliding mode controller (SMC) for a second-order system with external disturbance to be globally uniformly ultimately bounded (GUUB) is proposed. The proposed stability condition guarantees that the system state is always GUUB in the presence of disturbance. The ultimate bounds of the system state variables are also derived.

  • As the number of tourist has been increased recently, the interest level in the carriers was elevated. Hence, the technologies on the carriers have been developed variously, and smart carriers are widely used. However, noises are occurred with multiple causes since smart carrier uses the speed control system by gradient sensor. Because of this, the possibility of wrong operation is high by abrupt operation or cumulative error. Therefore, FIR low pass filter was designed and applied in the gradient sensor to realize the strong sensing system against the noise so as to supplement the weaknesses of the existing system in this article.

  • This paper describes a PID controller for an attraction type magnetic levitation system considering $H^{\infty}$ performance. PID controllers are a kind of fixed structure reduced order controllers. Using change of variables a reduced order control problem can be recast into a static output feedback control problem and can be solved efficiently by LMI(Linear Matrix Inequality) method. In this paper, cone complementarity method is adopted and the simulation shows good results.

  • This paper proposes a servo control system of brushless motor at a low and high speed range. The control system is composed of the PI controller for high-speed control and the modified PI controller for low-speed control and the current controller using the hysteresis current control PWM method. The speed control performance is shown by the computer simulation.

  • This paper describes the development of a fuzzy gain scheduling scheme of PID controller for inverted pendulum system. Fuzzy rules and reasoning are utilized on-line to determine the controller parameters based on the error signal and its difference. Simulation results demonstrate that better control performance can be achieved in comparison with PID controller using pole placement to control of a Inverted pendulum.

  • At present, the low-voltage, high-current type power supply is mainly used for effective sterilization in the ballast water treatment system. Research on PSFB converters without output capacitors has been ongoing. Such converters effectively treat ballast water without a separate disinfectant through electric pulses by applying a pulse-type power to the output electrode without an output capacitor. However, in the case of the pulse-type electrolysis treatment method, voltage overshoot can occur due to abrupt voltage fluctuations when the load changes, resulting in circuit reliability problems because of the output capacitorless system. Therefore, a new voltage control algorithm is required. In this paper, we will discuss voltage control for pulsed electrolysis topology without an output capacitor. The proposed voltage control method has been verified using Simulation and experiment. The usefulness of the proposed control method has been proven by the experimental results.

  • The instrumentation system is the most important aspect of a flight test program. It is the means by which the objective of a flight test, the production of accurate, useful data, is achieved. An instrumentation system consists of everything required to sense, condition, and record all parameters of interest The task of a flight test engineer is to select a system that is adequate to obtain all needed data, but not complex, expensive, and heavy than the situation demands. In this paper, the primary factors that determine the design of an instrumentation system are discussed.

  • In the raper, the noise involved on the active circuit is identified using correlation function. In order to identify the unknown noise source location, signals from each points on the system are detected and the location is identified by a concept calico Noise Source Surface. The fault diagnosis method is suggested for each element by identifying the noise source in active circuit using SVM. Experiment is conducted to confirm the validity of the proposed method. Also a method to reduce and control the noise in the system signal by using Matrix Pencil Method is introduced.
