세계화/지방화와 경제공간의 조직 (Globalization/Localization and Organization of Economic Space)

  • 최근 들어서 본격화된 '경제의 세계화'는 세계경제공간조직에 심대한 변화를 야기하였다. 본 연구에서는 세계화와 지방화의 개념, 태평양지역에서 나타난 경제공간조직 변화의 흐름, 그리고 경제공간조직 변화와 관련된 주요 과정을 검토하였다. '영역과 영역사이의 상호의존성 증대'로 인식되는 세계화의 진척은 특히 태평양 지역의 경제공간조직에 큰 변화를 가져왔으며, 이는 크게 지역내 교역과 해외직접투자의 증가, 신산업지구의 발전, 국경지대의 성장삼각지대의 등장 등으로 요약될 수 있다. 이러한 경제공간조직의 변화를 야기하는 요인으로는 세계적 차원에서 이루어지는 공간분업과 상품체인, 신흥 공업국의 산업구조재편, 생산조직 및 산업의 네트워크 형성 등을 꼽을 수 있다. 앞으로 세계화/지방화로 인한 변화가 가져오는 부정적 효과를 최소화하고 지속가능한 발전을 하기 위해서는 '협력적 네트워크 전략'을 추진하는 것이 필요하다.

  • A goal of Magnetic Resonance Imaging is reproducing a spatial map of the effective spin density from the measured Fourier coefficients of a specimen. The imaging procedure can be done by inverse Fourier transformation or backward fast Fourier transformation if the data are sampled on a regular grid in frequency space; however, it is still a challenging question how to reconstruct an image from a finite set of Fourier data on irregular points in k-space. In this paper, we describe some mathematical and numerical properties of imaging techniques from non-uniform MR data using the pseudo-inverse or the diagonal-inverse weight matrix. This note is written as an easy guide to readers interested in the non-uniform MRI techniques and it basically follows the ideas given in the paper by Greengard-Lee-Inati [10, 11].

INSTABILITY IN A PREDATOR-PREY MODEL WITH DIFFUSION

  • This paper treats the conditions for the existence and stability properties of stationary solutions of a predator-prey interaction with self and cross-diffusion. We show that at a certain critical value a diffusion driven instability occurs, i.e. the stationary solution stays stable with respect to the kinetic system (the system without diffusion) but becomes unstable with respect to the system with diffusion and that Turing instability takes place. We note that the cross-diffusion increase or decrease a Turing space (the space which the emergence of spatial patterns is holding) compared to the Turing space with self-diffusion, i.e. the cross-diffusion response is an important factor that should not be ignored when pattern emerges.

Multi-Object Tracking using the Color-Based Particle Filter in ISpace with Distributed Sensor Network

  • Intelligent Space(ISpace) is the space where many intelligent devices, such as computers and sensors, are distributed. According to the cooperation of many intelligent devices, the environment, it is very important that the system knows the location information to offer the useful services. In order to achieve these goals, we present a method for representing, tracking and human following by fusing distributed multiple vision systems in ISpace, with application to pedestrian tracking in a crowd. And the article presents the integration of color distributions into particle filtering. Particle filters provide a robust tracking framework under ambiguity conditions. We propose to track the moving objects by generating hypotheses not in the image plan but on the top-view reconstruction of the scene. Comparative results on real video sequences show the advantage of our method for multi-object tracking. Simulations are carried out to evaluate the proposed performance. Also, the method is applied to the intelligent environment and its performance is verified by the experiments.

여유자유도 로보트 충격제어 (Control of Redundant Manipulators Using Null-Space Dynamics)

  • This paper presents an impact control algorithm for reducing the potentially damaging effects by interation of redundant manipulators with their environments. In the proposed control algorithm, the redundancy is resolved at the torque level by locally minimizing joint torque, subject to the operational space dynamic formulation which maps the joint torque set into the operational forces. For a given pre-impact velocity of the manipulator, the proposed approach is on generating joint space trajectories throughout the motion near the contact which instantaneously minimize the impulsive force which is a scalar function of manipulator's configurations. The comparative evaluation of the proposed algorithm with a local torque optimization algorithm with a local torque optimization algorithm without reducing impact is performed by computer simulation. The simulation results illustrate the effectiveness of the algorithm in reducing both the effects of impact and large torque requirements.

삼차원 공간상에서의 질적인 삼각화에 관한 연구 (On Quality Triangulation in Three-Dimensional Space)

  • This paper deals with the problem of generating a uniform tetrahedral mesh which fills a 3-D space with the tetrahedra which are close to the equilateral tetrahedra as possible. This problem is particularly interesting in finite element modeling where a fat triangulation minimizes the error of an analysis. Fat triangulation is defined as a scheme for generating an equilateral triangulation as possible in a given dimension. In finite element modeling, there are many algorithms for generating a mesh in 2-D and 3-D. One of the difficulties in generating a mesh in 3-D is that a 3-D object can not be filled with uniform equilateral tetrahedra only regardless of the shape of the boundary. Fat triangulation in 3-D has been proved to be the one which fills a 3-D space with the tetrahedra which are close to the equilateral as possible. Topological and geometrical properties of the fat triangulation and its application to meshing algorithm are investigated.

시공간 블록 코딩에 적용가능한 간단한 암호화 기법 (A Simple Encryption Technology for Space-Time Block Coding)

  • 본 논문은 시공간 블록 코딩 알고리즘을 위한 간단한 암호화 기법을 제안한다. 시공간 블록 코딩 알고리즘은 데이터를 전송하는데 두 개의 안테나를 사용하며, 전송 데이터는 원래의 데이터와 수신기에서 결합하기 위하여 변형된 데이터로 구성된다. 이러한 종류의 두 개의 송신 안테나 데이터는 각각 상대방의 안테나와 교환되어 전송될 수 있으며, 이러한 방법은 간단한 암호화 알고리즘으로 사용될 수 있다. 암호화 시간 제어 정보는 송신기와 수신기 사이에서 미리 공유되어야 한다. 제안된 구조는 암호화 알고리즘이 없는 경우와 비교하여 성능이 향상됨을 제시하였다.

  • This study is aimed to develop fundamental technology on the smoke control method by simulation model and scale model simulation technique in underground space. Thereby, this research aimed to establish design elements and technologies required for smoke control system that is suitable to underground spaces of the high-rise residential-commercial and office buildings in order to minimize the loss of lives and property damage in case of fire.

  • The undergound space is widely developed because of dometic industry and protection of enviornment. The existence and exact location of tunnel is very important for stability of the enormous underground storage house or building. Various types of prospecting methods have been applied to detection of underground tunnel. In this study, electrical prospecting method is applied to detect tunnel because the development of underground space is very connected with groundwater. Sensitivity analysis is introduced for the calculation of elctrical inversion data. The governing equation is Fourier transformed into the 2-dimensional wave number space and solved by using the finite element method.

  • Most forecasting models often fail to produce appropriate forecasts because we build a model based on the assumption of the data being generated from the only one stochastic process. However, in many real problems, the time series data are generated from one stochastic process for a while and then abruptly undergo certain structural changes. In this paper, we assume the basic underlying process is the simple state-space model with random level and deterministic drift but interrupted by three types of exogenous shocks: level shift, drift change, outlier. A Bayesian procedure to detect, estimate and adapt to the structural changes is developed and compared with simple, double and adaptive exponential smoothing using simulated data and the U.S. leading composite index.
