  • In this paper, a stage-structured predator-prey system with impulsive perturbations and time delays is presented to investigate the ecological problem of how a pest population and natural enemy population can coexist. Sufficient conditions are obtained using a discrete dynamical system determined by a stroboscopic map, which guarantee that a 'predator-extinction' periodic solution is globally attractive. When the impulsive period is longer than some time threshold or the impulsive harvesting rate is below a control threshold, the system is permanent. Our results provide some reasonable suggestions for pest management.

  • In this paper, three species stage-structured predator-prey model with time delayed and periodic constant impulsive perturbations of predator at fixed times is proposed and investigated. We show that the conditions for the global attractivity of prey(pest)-extinction periodic solution and permanence of the system. Our model exhibits a new modelling method which is applied to investigate impulsive delay differential equations. Our results give some reasonable suggestions for pest management.

  • In the present paper we investigate the existence of almost periodic processes of ecological systems which are presented with nonautonomous N-dimensional impulsive Lotka Volterra competitive systems with dispersions and fixed moments of impulsive perturbations. By using the techniques of piecewise continuous Lyapunov's functions new sufficient conditions for the global exponential stability of the unique almost periodic solutions of these systems are given.

  • We investigate a three-species food chain system with Lotka-Volterra functional response and impulsive perturbations. In [23], Zhang and Chen have studied the system. They have given conditions for extinction of lowest-level prey and top predator and considered the local stability of lower-level prey and top predator eradication periodic solution. However, they did not give a condition for permanence, which is one of important facts in population dynamics. In this paper, we establish the condition for permanence of the three-species food chain system with impulsive perturbations. In addition, we give some numerical examples.

  • We investigate a three species food chain system with a Holling type IV functional response and impulsive perturbations. We find conditions for local and global stabilities of prey(or predator) free periodic solutions by applying the Floquet theory and the comparison theorems.

  • In this paper, we are studying the property for permanence of a three species food chain system with impulsive perturbations and Holling type II functional response, species which is important concept or property in ecological systems. Specially, we give the conditions for the permanence of this system. To do it, we consider the comparison method which is typical skill happened in impulsive differential inequalities. In addition, we reaffirm our results by using a numerical example.

  • We investigate a three species food chain system with Lotka-Volterra type functional response and impulsive perturbations. We find a condition for the local stability of prey or predator free periodic solutions by applying the Floquet theory and the comparison theorems and show the boundedness of this system. Furthermore, we illustrate some examples.

  • We investigate a periodically forced Lotka-Volterra type predator-prey system with impulsive perturbations - seasonal effects on the prey, periodic releasing of natural enemies(predator) and spraying pesticide at the same fixed times. We show that the solutions of the system are bounded using the comparison theorems and find conditions for the stability of a stable prey-free solution and for the permanence of the system.
