We prove (at least empirically) that some forms of the scaled residuals calculated from i.i.d. multivariate normal random vectors are ancillary. We further show that, if the scaled residuals are ancillary, then they have the same distribution whatever form of rotation is rosed to remove sample correlations.

In this article we define and study the notions of $\mathcal{I}$-convergence and $\mathcal{I}$-Cauchy of triple sequences in the topology induced by random 2-normed spaces and prove some theorems based on them.

In this paper we characterize semiconformally flat spacetimes and a spacetime with harmonic semiconformal curvature tensor. At first in a semiconformally flat perfect fluid spacetime we obtain a state equation and prove that in particular for dimension n = 4, the spacetime represents a model for incoherent radiation. Next we prove that perfect fluid spacetime with harmonic semiconformal curvature tensor is of Petrov type I, D or O and the spacetime is a GRW spacetime. As a consequence we obtain several corollaries.

Let (M, [ , ]) be a finite dimensional Malcev algebra over an algebraically closed field 𝔽 of characteristic 0. We first prove that, (M, [ , ]) (with [M, M] ≠ 0) is simple if and only if ind(M) = 1 (i.e., M admits a unique (up to a scalar multiple) invariant scalar product). Further, we characterize the form of skew-symmetric biderivations on simple Malcev algebras. In particular, we prove that the simple seven dimensional non-Lie Malcev algebra has no nontrivial skew-symmetric biderivation.

A Steinhaus graph is a labelled graph whose adjacency matrix $A = (a_{i,j})$ has the Steinhaus property : $a_{i,j} + a{i,j+1} \equiv a_{i+1,j+1} (mod 2)$. We consider random Steinhaus graphs with n labelled vertices in which edges are chosen independently and with probability $\frac{1}{2}$. We prove that almost all Steinhaus graphs are Hamiltonian like as in random graph theory.

In this paper, we formulate the definition of compatible mappings of type (I) and (II) in intuitionistic fuzzy metric spaces and prove a common fixed point theorem by using the conditions of compatible mappings of type (I) and (II) in complete intuitionistic fuzzy metric spaces. Our results intuitionistically fuzzify the result of Cho, Sedghi, and Shobe [4].

Using the fixed point method, we prove the generalized Hyers-Ulam-Rassias stability of the following functional equation in multi-Banach spaces: $${\sum_{1{\leq}i_<j{\leq}n}}\;f(\frac{r_ix_i+r_jx_j}{k})=\frac{n-1}{k}{\sum_{i=1}^n}r_if(x_i)$$.

We study some special cases of Chow groups of a ramified complete regular local ring R of dimension n. We prove that (a) for codimension 3 Gorenstein ideal I, [I] = 0 in $A_{n-3}(R)$ and (b) for a particular class of almost complete intersection prime ideals P of height i, [P] = 0 in $A_{n-i}(R)$.

This paper is to analyze various phenomena of NPIs based on Nonveridicality Theory. For this purpose, I present the previous studies concerning NPls and examine their problems: Ladusaw's(1980) Downward Entailment and Zwarts'(1993) Monotonicity Theory. To solve their problems I suggest Giannakidou's(1998, 1999, 2000) Nonveridicality Theory. To conclude, this paper clarifies the reason why NPls are licensed and resolves the problems of previous studies. I explain NPIs' phenomena in questions, modals, intentional verbs, before, perhaps and so on. I analyse the examples of NPls in BNC, S&S, P&P to prove my claim.

In this article we introduce the class of I-convergent double sequences of fuzzy real numbers. We have studied different properties like solidness, symmetricity, monotone, sequence algebra etc. We prove that the class of I-convergent double sequences of fuzzy real numbers is a complete metric spaces.
