우리나라 의사양성체제의 역사와 미래 (History and Future of the Korean Medical Education System)

  • Western medicine was first introduced to Korea by Christian missionaries and then by the Japanese in the late 19th century without its historical, philosophical, cultural, social, political, and economic values being communicated. Specifically, during the Japanese colonial era, only ideologically 'degenerated' medicine was taught to Koreans and the main orthodox stream of medicine was inaccessible. Hence, Korean medical education not only focuses on basic and clinical medicine, but also inherited hierarchical discrimination and structural violence. After Korea's liberation from Japan and the Korean war, the Korean medical education system was predominantly influenced by Americans and the Western medical education system was adopted by Korea beginning in the 1980s. During this time, ethical problems arose in Korean medical society and highlighted a need for medical humanities education to address them. For Korean medical students who are notably lacking humanistic and social culture, medical humanities education should be emphasized in the curriculum. In the Fourth Industrial Revolution, human physicians may only be distinguishable from robot physicians by ethical consciousness; consequentially, the Korean government should invest more of its public funds to develop and establish a medical humanities program in medical colleges. Such an improved medical education system in Korea is expected to foster talented physicians who are also respectable people.

Obesity Level Prediction Based on Data Mining Techniques

  • Obesity affects individuals of all gender and ages worldwide; consequently, several studies have performed great works to define factors causing it. This study develops an effective method to trace obesity levels based on supervised data mining techniques such as Random Forest and Multi-Layer Perception (MLP), so as to tackle this universal epidemic. Notably, the dataset was from countries like Mexico, Peru, and Colombia in the 14- 61year age group, with varying eating habits and physical conditions. The data includes 2111 instances and 17 attributes labelled using NObesity, which facilitates categorization of data using Overweight Levels l I and II, Insufficient Weight, Normal Weight, as well as Obesity Type I to III. This study found that the highest accuracy was achieved by Random Forest algorithm in comparison to the MLP algorithm, with an overall classification rate of 96.7%.

A Review on the CPU Scheduling Algorithms: Comparative Study

  • CPU is considered the main and most important resource in the computer system. The CPU scheduling is defined as a procedure that determines which process will enter the CPU to be executed, and another process will be waiting for its turn to be performed. CPU management scheduling algorithms are the major service in the operating systems that fulfill the maximum utilization of the CPU. This article aims to review the studies on the CPU scheduling algorithms towards comparing which is the best algorithm. After we conducted a review of the Round Robin, Shortest Job First, First Come First Served, and Priority algorithms, we found that several researchers have suggested various ways to improve CPU optimization criteria through different algorithms to improve the waiting time, response time, and turnaround time but there is no algorithm is better in all criteria.

  • Objectives: The primary goal of this article is to compare the multiple algorithms used for deadlock handling methods and then outline the common method in deadlock handling methods. Methods: The article methodology begins with introducing a literature review studying different algorithms used in deadlock detection and many algorithms for deadlocks prevented, recovered, and avoided. Discussion and analysis of the literature review were done to classify and compare the studied algorithms. Findings: The results showed that the deadlock detection method solves the deadlock. As soon as the real-time deadlock detection algorithm is identified and indicated, it performs better than the non-real-time deadlock detection algorithm. Our novelty the statistics that we get from the percentages of reviewing outcomes that show the most effective rate of 47% is in deadlock prevention. Then deadlock detection and recovery with 28% finally, a rate of 25% for deadlock avoidance.

Analysis and Comparison of Sorting Algorithms (Insertion, Merge, and Heap) Using Java

  • Sorting is an important data structure in many applications in the real world. Several sorting algorithms are currently in use for searching and other operations. Sorting algorithms rearrange the elements of an array or list based on the elements' comparison operators. The comparison operator is used in the accurate data structure to establish the new order of elements. This report analyzes and compares the time complexity and running time theoretically and experimentally of insertion, merge, and heap sort algorithms. Java language is used by the NetBeans tool to implement the code of the algorithms. The results show that when dealing with sorted elements, insertion sort has a faster running time than merge and heap algorithms. When it comes to dealing with a large number of elements, it is better to use the merge sort. For the number of comparisons for each algorithm, the insertion sort has the highest number of comparisons.

과학기술과 인문학 융합 내용 및 융합 방법 실태 분석 -초등학교 융합인재교육(STEAM) 프로그램 개발 과제를 중심으로- (An Analysis of Content and Convergence Method of Scientific Technology and Humanities in Elementary School STEAM Programs)

  • 본 연구에서는 2012년부터 2015년까지 개발되어 공개된 233개의 초등학교 프로그램들을 대상으로, 과학기술과 인문학 융합의 내용적 측면과 방법적 측면의 융합 실태를 분석함으로써, 추후 STEAM 프로그램 개발이나 정책 개발, 기 개발된 프로그램의 현장 적용을 위한 수정 보완 등에 기초자료와 시사점을 제공하고자 하였다. 분석 결과, STEAM 프로그램 내에서 Liberal Arts로 구분된 국어, 사회, 도덕 교과의 융합 빈도 중 도덕 교과의 융합이 상대적으로 낮게 나타났다. 이는 그동안의 STEAM 교육에 있어 과학기술과 인문학 융합이 구체적 목적 아래 이루어진 내용적 융합보다는 다양한 학문간의 융합만이 상대적으로 강조되었기 때문으로 보인다. 과학기술과 인문학 융합의 방법적 측면의 분석에서는 기술적 차원의 인문학 융합에 비해 규범적 차원의 인문학 융합이 상대적으로 적게 이루어졌다. 단순히 두 가지 방법의 정량적 비교가 의미를 가지는 것은 아니나, 일부 윤리적, 규범적 정향이나 고민이 필요한 프로그램들이 발견됨에도 불구하고 단순히 기술적 인문학 융합만 이루어져 과학기술의 양면성에 대한 학생들의 인식 부재가 염려된다. 또한 STEAM 프로그램에서 분석된 과학기술과 규범적 차원의 인문학 융합이 이루어진 경우도 '과학기술의 활용에 있어서의 인문학 보정'과 '과학기술 연구와 발전 그 자체에 대한 인문학 보정' 으로 나누어짐을 알 수 있었다. 이러한 연구 결과들을 바탕으로 STEAM 프로그램 개발이나 정책 개발, 교육현장에서의 프로그램 수정 보완 등과 관련된 시사점을 논의하였다.

치유인문학과 힐데가르트의 보석치료에 관한 고찰 (Healing Humanities and Hildegard - Focusing on Jewelry Therapy)

  • 개요: 21세기 '지금 여기' 우리는 covid-19처럼 감염병이 삶 속 깊숙이 침투하고 있는 이 상황에서 무엇을 고민해야 하는가? 바로 이 지점에서 필자는 '치유인문학'을 힐데가르트의 보석치료를 통해 소개하고자 한다. 목적: 그동안 인문학이 교양교육으로서 '소통과 융합'을 슬로건으로 내세우며 그 가치를 강조했다면, 이제 인문학은 잠재적 능력을 발현시킬 수 있는 실천적 방안을 모색해야 할 것이다. 다시 말해서 인문학적 가치의 실천적 발현이라는 쟁점을 우리는 '치유 인문학으로 드러내고자 한다. 방법: 연구방법은 문헌 중심으로 논의되었다. 이 논의는 중세시대 빙엔의 힐데가르트가 강조했던 자연치료 중 한 유형인, 보석치료를 중심으로 진행된다. 결과: 힐데가르트는 인간의 질병과 건강을 잘못된 생활습관과 생활방식 그리고 자연과 소통되지 않는 상황에서 발생한다고 강조한다. 결론: 오늘날 의학기술에 치중되어 있는 인간의 건강과 질병 개념에 대한 새로운 접근의 필요성이 요구되며, 그 과정에서 힐데가르트의 보석치료가 인문학적 치유의 한 가능성으로 제시되었다.

간호학 전공 여학생과 문과계 전공 여학생의 성 고정관념 비교 (Comparison of Gender Stereotype between Female Nursing Students and Humanities Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify difference in gender stereotype between female nursing students and humanities students. Methods: A descriptive comparative study was done. The subjects were 300 nursing students and 114 humanities students who were selected by convenient sampling. Data were collected from September 2008 to October 2008 using a constructive questionnaire with 30 questions, which was prepared for this study by modifying the instrument about gender stereotype developed by Kim. The data were analyzed through ANCOVA, factor analysis and Chronbach's.using the SPSS program. Results: 1) Of the six subcategories of gender stereotype, five were higher in the nursing students than in the humanities students, but occupational gender stereotype was not. 2) Age affected total, familiar, social, external, and intellectual gender stereotype. 3) Self-satisfaction and major satisfaction affected social gender stereotype. 4) In the analysis of difference in gender stereotype with controlling age, self-satisfaction and major satisfaction, the nursing students showed statistically significant higher scores in intellectual stereotype than the humanities students. Conclusion: Because female nursing students tended to show high gender stereotype, nursing educators need to develop programs for helping nursing students escape from gender stereotypes and increase their self-satisfaction.

  • 스마트 기기 사용의 증가는 많은 사회적 변화를 가져왔다. 특히 교육에서는 보다 높은 학습효과를 위하여 스마트 기기 적용을 연구하여 왔다. 그러나 인문교양은 전통적인 교육 패턴 뿐만 아니라 과목이 가지는 특성 때문에 정보통신에 적용하기가 매우 어려운 분야였다. 본 연구에서는 인문교양 과목을 디지털 방송에 적용하고 그 효과를 증대시키기 위한 방안을 제시하려 한다. 이를 위하여 인문교양의 스마트 콘텐츠 제작 및 연계 방안을 제시하고, 그 실효성을 위하여 디지털 방송에 적용하는 방안에 대한 설문을 통해 적용 가능성을 제시하고자 한다.
