The purpose of this study was to provide basic information about the usage frequency of foods and menu items that may have microbiological hazards in elementary school foodservice operations in order to prepare a sanitation management manual for the foodservice production process. Menus from 200 elementary school foodservice operations from June 2004 were analyzed. An analysis of the foodservice production process of the menu revealed that the following processes were used: heat process(63.9%), non-heating process(28.1%), and after-heating process(8.0%). The cooking methods used for side dishes were: Stir-frying(19.9%), Saenchae(15.6%), Jorim(15,1%), Sukchae(13.1%), Frying(11.3%) and so on. Overall, 85 menu items known to include microbiological hazards were offered a total of 3,537 times; they were Doegi-bulgogi(7.0%), Bibim-bap(5.2%), Oi-saengchae(4.6%), Kongnamul-muchim(4.2%), Ddeok-bokkeum(4.0%), Japchae(3.7%), and so on. To serve safe and hygienic foods, menus including microbiological hazards should be planned very carefully. Furthermore, if a menu is high in microbiological hazards and frequency, the manuals of sanitation management should be applied more thoroughly.

To observe the superconducting current and structural properties of high critical temperature ($T_c$) superconductors (HTS), we suggest the following imaging methods: Room temperature imaging (RTI) through thermal heating, low-temperature bolometric microscopy (LTBM) and Raman scattering imaging. RTI and LTBM images visualize thermal-electric voltages as different thermal gradients at room temperature (RT) and superconducting current dissipation at near-$T_c$, respectively. Using RTI, we can obtain structural information about the surface uniformity and positions of impurities. LTBM images show the flux flow in two dimensions as a function of the local critical currents. Raman imaging is transformed from Raman survey spectra in particular areas, and the Raman vibration modes can be combined. Raman imaging can quantify the vibration modes of the areas. Therefore, we demonstrate the spatial transport properties of superconducting materials by combining the results. In addition, this enables visualization of the effect of current flow on the distribution of impurities in a uniform superconducting crystalline material. These imaging methods facilitate direct examination of the local properties of superconducting materials and wires.
When building with concrete in cold weather, an insulation method of heat curing must be determined, and a holistic curing plan that considers the characteristics of structures, the heat loss coefficient of a curing sheet, the joint condition of the curing materials and the quantity of heat produced by a heating apparatus is an essential prerequisite for protection against early frost damage. But on a number of national construction sites, there have been serious problems in cold weather concreting due to the unreliability of the information obtained from practical experience. In the construction field in Japan, there is a specification for heat curing prepared by Japanese Architectural Society, which provides an equation for calculating heat quantity. It is also necessary to adopt a detailed specification for a standard heat curing method that is applicable to all national construction sites. In this study, the effect of bubble sheets on the economic feasibility of cold weather concrete is investigated through a comparison with the blue sheets commonly prescribed in national construction sites. In conclusion, this study found that bubble sheets had the effect of reducing the cost of curing materials and the fuel cost consumed by a heating apparatus, compared to the use of blue sheets.
This study evaluates the seasonal performances of the horizontal-type geothermal heat exchanger(HGHEX) installed into the foundation slabs of the complex building located at Seoul. The geothermal system is consisted with totally 31,860m long HGHEX, 16 GSHPs (Ground-source Heat Pump) and 8 circulation pumps. This system supplies cooling and heating to the lobby(F1) and the common spaces(BF1). The average heat exchange temperature differences are $2.7^{\circ}C\;and\;2.5^{\circ}C$ in the summer, $1.5^{\circ}C\;and\;0.5^{\circ}C$ in the winter for the F1 and BF1 respectively. From these results, approximately 400Gcal and 180Gcal of geothermal energy are assumed to have been used during the summer and winter seasons respectively. As a conclusion, the geothermal system is reviewed as a effective utility for heating and cooling at the point of seasonal performances.
Koreans had started moving to Yunhaju in Russia for escaping from the tyrannical rule and famine in 1860's in Korea. It had been veiled and nearly known about Korean's life there because of social and political situation of Russia until the Perestroyka. This study examined the dwellings of Korean Diaspora in Yunhaju through visiting their houses and having an interview. Results of research were as following: 1) Russian traditional houses which Koreans built was followed by Russian style basically and Koreans used the space slightly different way. Korean Diaspora have been adopted Russian life style with keeping their own traditional way of living. 2) Some Korean Diaspora still have been kept traditional heating system 'Ondol' in their houses until now in Yunhaju. Moreover over, it is known that people of Central Asia prefer to set 'Ondol' recently as a very specific and expensive heating system. 3) Korean's food style in Yunhaju is the one mixed with Russian, Korean, and Central Asian foods. This study could be a first step to supply for a basic information for studying of Korean Diaspora in Russia and it is needed to take more deep research in other areas in Russia.
When concrete is exposed to fire, the decomposition of Portland cement paste results in critical damage to the concrete structure of a building. Although the behavior of cement pastes after heating provides crucial information with respect to the reuse of the building exposed to fire, the recovery process of the damaged concrete structure has not yet been fully elucidated. In addition, research on appropriate additives such as carbon nanotube (CNT) has been increasing recently, however, investigation of CNT incorporated cement paste after decomposition of CNT by high temperature is not fully investigated. In this study, we investigated the physicochemical properties of CNT incorporated cement paste under different temperatures (200℃, 500℃ and 800℃). Also, the effects of different rehydration conditions (20℃ 60% RH and in water for different curing times) on the recovery of the paste were studied. The changes in tensile and compressive strength, surface observation of the specimens were characterized. In addition, the decomposition and formation of hydrates in the paste due to the heating process were studied using X-ray diffraction.
We have studied the etching of Si(100)-2xl by Cl and Br, using scanning tunneling microscopy to obtain morphological information that can be related to reaction and desorption pathways. Clean surfaces were exposed to molecular halogens at room temperature to produce well-defined chemisorption structures for coverages in the range 0.2-1.0 ML. Heating to 750-750 K induced etching by thermal desorpton. Analysis of the halogen concentration before and after heating indicated that the rates of desorption for SICl2 or SiBr2 were greatest for intermediate coverages and that etching was suppressed as saturation was reached. Hence, desorption is not simply proportional to the concentration of species that can form adsorbed precursors SiX2(a). Instead, it is directly coupled to the creation of monomer vacancies adjacent to the SiX2 (a) unit because this increases the lifetime of the excited state and increases the likelihood of its desorption. Increasing the surface concentration of halogens reduces the rate of vacancy formation. We show that these rates are also affected by a re-dimerization process in the high temperature Br-stabilized Si(100)-3xl reconstruction that increases the likelihood of siBr2(a) formation and enhances its desorption. I will also discuss recent result for F etching on Si(100)-2xl.
The impurities in As and Ga sources and the contamination of the GaAs substrate prior to growing of MBE GaAs epitaxial layer have been investigated using RHEED, AES and RGA methods. The as source was contaminated by H2O, CO, CO2 and AsO, and the Ga source was contaminated by H2, H2O, CO and CO2. These contaminants could easily be removed by prebaking the source. On the other hand, GaAs substrate was contaminated principally carbon and oxygen. The oxygen could easily be removed by heating the substrate above 480\ulcorner, and the carbon could also be reduced by sputtering the substrate with 1ke V Ar+. The chemically etched substrate surface prior to growing the layer was rough, but it was made to be smooth and clean by heating it above 530 \ulcorner.

Residential heating systems in South Korea are largely based on the use of ondol pipelines. Heat is transferred to the floor by passing hot water through a metal or plastic pipe buried within the concrete of the floor. Consequently, it is difficult to clean the inside of these pipes after installation. Over time, foreign substances such as scale accumulate in the pipe when the ondol heating method is used for an extended period. Therefore, in the past, pipes were cleaned by removing foreign substances attached to the inside surfaces of the pipes using high-pressure water or by disassembling the pipes and removing foreign substances with chemical agents. Recently, a method for removing foreign substances through the cavitation effect of ultrasound has been proposed. This idea might lead to the development of new technologies for cleaning pipe interiors. Consequently, this study investigated the use of ultrasound to clean pipes embedded in concrete. In this study, devices that generated ultrasonic waves with various frequencies and directions were prepared. After preparing arbitrarily contaminated pipes, the appropriate frequency, output strength, and output direction for each foreign substance were determined through repeated experiments. The results of this experiment could provide important information for future methods of cleaning the interior of ondol piping systems.

A unified channel thermal noise model valid in all operation regions is presented for short channel MOS transistors. It is based on smooth interpolation between weak and strong inversion models and consistent physical model including velocity saturation, channel length modulation, and carrier heating. From testing for noise benchmark and comparing with published noise data, it is shown that the proposed noise model could be useful in simulating the MOSFET channel thermal noise in all operation regions.
