  • This study is to identify the relationship among work-life balance and turnover intention of nurses and examine the influence of work-family balance, work-leisure balance, work-grow balance on turnover intention of nurses. Data were collected from nurses working at five hospitals with more than 30 beds in Seoul and analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis using Jamovi(1.6.23) program. The final sample were made up of 247 participants. In the correlation analysis, work-life balance and turnover intention showed negative correlation. As a result of multiple regression analysis, work-grow balance affected as a meaningful influence factor on turnover intention. It is necessary to carefully examine the sub-factors of work-life balance in order to understand the impact on turnover intention of nurses. And, hospitals need to provide organizational support for nurses' growth and career development.

  • This case is intended to present the effectiveness of TMJ balance therapy, which normalizes the yin-yang balance of the cranial nervous system, including the meridian system. Temporomandibular joint balance therapy was performed on growing children with occlusal abnormalities, and clinical results were measured through specific observation of height and weight. The patient showed improvement in deep bite and satisfactory increase in growth after treatment. From these observations, it can be inferred that temporomandibular joint balance therapy has a positive effect not only on the brain nervous system but also on the action of pituitary hormones. For a more accurate evaluation, clinical and biological research on temporomandibular joint balance therapy (TBT) is needed.

  • This research was conducted to identify factors that affect work-life balance and happiness among married working couples with a double income. To this end, a survey was administered to 260 married working couples in the Seoul metropolitan region. The analysis of the survey responses using the SPSS (Ver. 21) program yielded several important results. First, the variables that significantly affected work-family balance included the number of family dinners eaten together, meaning of life, efforts to strike a work-life balance, and the availability of social institutions and policies that promote work-life balance. Variables that significantly affected work-leisure balance included meaning of life, number of family dinners eaten together, gender, and the availability of social institutions and policies that promote work-leisure balance. As for work-growth balance, significant variables included meaning of life, communication with colleagues, income, and meaning of work. Finally, variables that significantly affected happiness included meaning of life, income, communication with colleagues, and work-growth balance. Based on these results, follow-up research needs to be conducted on various groups to help determine the factors that will ensure their work-life balance and happiness.

  • This study aims to analyze the effects of work-life balance on organizational commitment and turnover intention, and the effects of organizational commitment on turnover intention, focusing on Generation MZ librarians in public libraries. A survey of 183 librarians born between 1980 and 2005, who work at public libraries in the Seoul Metropolitan Area, examined the subfactors of work-life balance such as work-family balance, work-leisure balance, work-growth balance, organizational commitment, and turnover intention. Multiple regression analysis revealed that work-family and work-growth balances had a significant positive effect on organizational commitment and a significant negative effect on turnover intention. Moreover, organizational commitment had a significant negative effect on turnover intention. Accordingly, this study suggests the need to implement a reward policy for night and weekend work and to strengthen work-family balance and work-growth balance at public libraries. Moreover, it suggests horizontal communication and strengthening autonomy to promote organizational commitment.

  • The purposes of this study were to verify the longitudinal mediating effects of work-family balance on the relationship of role recognition in the family, marital intimacy and job satisfaction of married women, and to introduce longitudinal mediating effects by using latent growth curve modeling and autoregressive cross-lagged modeling. The subjects were married women from the third year data of the Korean Longitudinal Survey of Women and Family. Structural equational models were conducted with Amos ver. 21.0. The major findings are as follows. First, the result of the longitudinal mediating effects of latent growth modeling is the rate of change of work-family balance mediated between the rate of change of role recognition in the family and the rate of change of job satisfaction, and the rate of change of work-family balance mediated between the rate of change of marital intimacy and the rate of change of job satisfaction. Second, when using the autoregressive cross-lagged modeling, the more role recognition and marital intimacy of third year were the more work-family balance of fourth year, job satisfaction of fifth year. In both models, work-family balance mediated between role recognition in the family, marital intimacy and job satisfaction. Therefore, through this study, mediating effects of work-family balance can be found that there was a longitudinal effects.

  • This study was conducted to investigate whether WGB (Work-Growth Balance), an area of WLB (Work-Life Balance) improves Interpersonal Harmony, Creative Effort and Innovative Behavior in the organization, and whether Interpersonal Harmony and Creative Efforts have indirect effects on the relationship between WGB and Innovative Behavior. To test the hypothesis of this study, PROCESS Macro by Hayes (2013) was used. The results showed that WGB, Interpersonal Harmony, and Creative Effort influenced Innovative Behavior and WGB were variables that influenced Interpersonal Harmony. The variables influencing Creative Effort turned out to be WGB and Interpersonal Harmony. The indirect effect of Interpersonal Harmony and Creative Efforts was also confirmed in the relationship between WGB and Innovative Behavior. In addition, the magnitude of the effect between parameters was examined through Process Macro analysis. It turned out that there is a synergy relationship between WGB, Interpersonal Harmony, Creative Efforts and Innovative Behaviors. In future, more researches on WGB among various industries as well as mediating variables are expected. Further research is needed to study the various parameters of WGB and innovation behavior, and to Balance of Work-Family and Balance of Work-Leisure.

  • Energy efficiency of bacterial cell mass and product formation from cellulose using Ruminococcus albus and Ruminococcus flavefaciens with application of available electron balance were discussed. Values of true growth yield, η$_{max}$ and η$^{max}_{th}$ and maintenance coefficient, m$_{e}$, were estimated us-ing experimental data, and the results were compared with estimates obtained from theoretical ap-proach. Experimental values were similar in magnitude to theoretical values in $Y^{max}_{ATP}$= 10.5 g cells/ mole ATP. Therefore, $Y^{max}_{ATP}$ values of Ruminococcus albus and Ruminocoecus flavefaciens were considered similar to 10.5 g cells/mole ATP.

  • In the epidermis of skin, a fine balance exists between proliferating progenitor cells and terminally differentiating cells. We examined the effects of TGF-betas and retinoic acid (RA) on controlling this balance in normal human epidermal keratinocytes cultured under conditions where most morphological and biochemical features of epidermis in vivo are retained. Our results revealed marked and pleiotropic effects of both TGF-beta and RA on kerationcytes. In contrast to retinoids, TGF-betas acted on mitotically active basal cells to retard cell proliferation.

  • The purpose of this paper is to compare efficiencies, two stage efficiencies, and the reduction of economic growth due to the restraint of $CO_2$ and fossil fuel in two efficiency approach by pointing out the limit of traditional efficiency approach and introducing material balance approach. The efficiencies under the traditional approach and the material balance approach report significant gaps when they are analyzed in detail. Especially, in case not including fossil fuels, the low income countries show the bad performance of production efficiencies, but OECD and high-middle income countries reveal the better performance than that of the low countries. It fails to reflect the reality justly. Based on the material balance approach, the low income countries report the higher performance and the alleviated effect of environmental components for economic growth than OECD's.

  • This study aimed to investigate the change in food balance and dietary patterns, caused by the growth of per capita GNP during $1962{\sim}1987$. For the purpose of this analysis, ordinary least square (OLS) was adopted. Per capita GNP was independent variable and the other factors dependent variables. The other factors included Engel coefficient, food supply, energy supply, nutrient intake and the ratio of self-supply of food. The result revealed that the some variables have (+) correlation, the some variables (-) correlation and the other variables no correlation with per capita GNP. If forecasting models are designed with these results, it will be helpful for national health and nutrition, food balance and disease prevention.
