The purpose of this study was to compare the composition of the government guidelines for the educational curriculum of Japan announced in 2016 with the outline of the 2015 revised educational curriculum of Korea. To compare the composition of the national level curricula of the two countries, the composition systems and content details were analyzed along with the trends of emphasis placed on informatics education. The analysis indicated that as for the Japanese government's guidelines, it was suggested that the causes of revisions, and purposes and methods of fulfilling goals be added, and thus the appropriateness of the guidelines was emphasized. As for Korea's revised curriculum, a gap caused by segmental development of the outline and details of the curriculum were found in addition to errors in curricular composition and direction setting which were carried out without consideration to the transition time required or changes of subjects. To ensure sufficiency of the curricular contents and education reflecting the situations of each time phase, the necessity to improve the overall curricular framework was suggested. This study holds significance as it provides the introspective insight that the goals and directions of education cannot be set properly when the curricular framework is established without recognition of the contents.

The objectives of this study were to analyze present status and to suggest for the future upbringing programs for informal environment educator of Environmental NGOs in Korea. Based on the findings from reviewing environmental educators’ certification systems in Environmental NGOs, the following suggestions should be considered for improving the certification systems. 1) Government and environmental NGOs should adopt a certification system by implementing qualifying examination for employing specification of informal environmental educator. 2) Applicants to obtain a certification of informal environmental educator in environmental NGOs should be qualified through standard processes including taking required curriculum and programs. They must be evaluated informal environmental educator’ ability accurately through their portfolio, teaching ability, professional responsibilities and so on. 3) Standardized curriculum and programs should be adopted by government for the initial preparation of environmental educators reflecting the guidelines from the KOSEE (The Korean Society for Environmental Education) and NAAEE (North American Association for Environmental Education) in the future.

The purpose of this study was to review the government's policy on the enhancement of sports facilities for community residents regarding the lack of knowledge surrounding the infrastructure of sports facilities. The government has invested approximately 2.4 trillion won to establish 220 community sports centers, 385 billion won for 194 multi-purpose indoor centers, and 1.3 trillion won for rebuilding 1,870 school outdoor fields. On the other hand, there are problems with the link between the crumb rubber infill on sports fields and cancer, a lack of availability of indoor sports centers, and an increased federal budget deficit. It is the responsibility of government to plan and construct outdoor fields that are large enough to accommodate all people and allow them to play activities. In addition, the guidelines should ensure that the indoor space required for physical activities at each teaching station is large enough to accommodate all students in the class and handle two classes. The government should suggest the federal government guidelines based on a good understanding of the concept of infrastructure in sports facilities. The government also should make efforts to reduce the regulatory powers and provide the community with an autonomous right to plan and construct sports facilities.

The purpose of this study was to identify the current status of the new graduate nurses' education system, to establish guidelines for the education of new graduate nurses, and to provide dates for the improvement of the education system. Eighty-nine hospitals participated in the survey from July to August 2018. The questionnaires consisted of 24 items including general characteristics, new graduate nurses' education system, operation of nursing education teams, and preceptorship programs. The average duration of education/training for new graduate nurses was 57.3 days, and 26.6%-58.5% of general hospitals, hospitals, and long-term care hospitals had less than 30 days of new graduate nurses education/training, which is shorter than the education/training period of tertiary hospitals. There were new nursing education guidelines in 88.8% of all medical institutions and 58.6% of them had nursing education teams. Most of the personnel in charge of nursing education were not dedicated to education. A total of 87.6% of the all participating medical institutions had preceptorship programs, while 23.1%-33.3% of hospitals and long-term care hospitals did not. The breakdown of preceptorship programs showed 68.4% as "preceptor and preceptee are in charge of one team, and preceptor is teaching preceptee," and 19.7% were "preceptor and preceptee are in charge of each team, and preceptor is teaching preceptee at the same time." These results show that standardization and management of new graduate nurses' education programs is necessary. For the standardization and management of new graduate nurses' education programs, joint efforts of nurses' associations and support from the government should be encouraged.

This study is attempted to explore direction for the schooling related 5-school-day week. For this end, first, the social background and educational meaning for the 5-school-day week were reviewed. It was found that there is a close connection between 5-school-day week and 5-work-day week. And learning by direct and actual experience is emphasized. Second, The present condition of the schooling were analysed. It was examined the guidelines for curriculum organization and time allotment proposed the 2009 revised national curriculum. Also, It was checked the educational background and qualifications, for example ratio of students to teaching staff, office of education, local government etc. Third, the direction for the schooling for 5-school-day week were discussed. The object of research related to the 5-school-day week was the applicabilities and limits of 2009 revised national curriculum. Also, It is necessary to establish a system of education office in local to work with the local government.

In the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, improving computational thinking to solve problems by smoothly operating and utilizing software. Therefore, the ministry of education has introduced systematic SW education into public education as a revised 2015 curriculum with the aim of raising computational thinking. In order for SW education to be systematically stabilized at the school site, the teaching ability of the teacher must be supported above all. For this purpose, the government is promoting 'SWEET' for improvement of the elementary pre-service teachers' SW education program. However, even if the policy is pursued, there is a tendency to take measures to improve the teaching and learning methods in the field later, and since the subject of change in education is the teacher, it is necessary to grasp the reco-gnition, experience of teachers. This study analyzed qualitatively perception and experience of elementary pre-service teachers about SW education and suggested design guidelines for pre-service teacher training such as providing various learning examples.
Purpose: This study is intended to provide easy explanations needed to ensure correct understanding of the notification of health education curriculum revised in 2008, health education curriculum at middle and high schools as well as their effective application at schools. Teachers of health lessons can provide better guidance for their classes only when they are well informed of intent and direction of health lessons sought after by the nation, objective and systematic content of health lessons, teaching methods, characteristics of teachinglearning materials and their evaluation. The contents of the guide have been sufficiently detailed and clarified in such a way that can increase understanding of school health education as pursued by the nation. Methods: This is reported research as its contents have been finalized through analysis of documentary records concerned with health education available at both home and abroad, a council of health education experts and public hearings organized for extensive collection of opinions from professor and teachers. Results: The guidebook has been prepared in 5 areas covering respectively "background of revision to health education curriculum", "how health education curriculum has been changed over time", " focus on health education curriculum", "explanations on health education curriculum" and "comparison of new and previous curriculum". Also developed were key initiatives on 6 health related subjects. Conclusion: The greatest significance of this research lies in the fact that it has come up with the first guide book for health education ever prepared in our history. It is also meaningful for the guide book to enable teachers to teach their classes better by providing them with easy interpretation of the contents notified by the government and to have set guidelines for directions in which health of our youths should be promoted. Since this is the first work, continuous research and development should further be carried out in the future.

The government has proposed various policies to 'extend the time for teaching information education in elementary schools'. However, in the 2022 revised practical arts (technical·home economics) curriculum, information education is still organized for only 17 hours the same as before, and there is not enough connection with the middle school information subject. In this study, policies related to information education in elementary schools such as National Strategy of Artificial Intelligence, Comprehensive Plan of Information Education, Education Policy Direction and Core Tasks in the Artificial Intelligence Era, and Digital Talent Education Plan were analyzed. In addition, after the '2022 revised national curriculum guidelines' was announced in 2021, the problems of the practical arts curriculum were analyzed by analyzing materials of the draft proposal of the curriculum and comments posted on the Public Participation Communication Channel. Finally, I suggested a plan to link the 2022 revised practical arts (technology·home economic) curriculum to the information subject of middle school in detail, and to expand information education in elementary schools.

This study selected seven carbon-neutral villages, considering the characteristics of each region, including all five administrative districts of Changwon City, and proposed activation plans based on business evaluations through surveys of local residents and FGIs with leaders. The analysis showed that carbon-neutral education was the most important factor for activating carbon-neutral villages, with a response rate of 91.9% for 17 multiple-choice questions, followed by legal (ordinance) arrangements at 79.3% and village organization building at 74.1%. Based on this, the following activation plans through the participation of residents who are involved in the project of creating a carbon-neutral village in Changwon City were proposed. First, the characteristics of each carbon-neutral village model were classified into a resource circulation-based model, an environmental creation-based model, an environmental education and experience event-based model, and an energy efficiency-based model. Second, it is necessary to create and present carbon-neutral village growth stage guidelines for the growth of carbon-neutral villages. Third, manuals and teaching materials related to carbon neutrality, such as theories, issues, and practices, need to be produced and distributed for leaders and activists to easily apply and access for self-government operation of the village. Finally, if a carbon-neutral support center that is legally installable in Changwon City is established, it is expected that the lives of local residents will become more sustainable for carbon-neutral living in preparation for climate crises.

Since the Shimane Prefecture government in Japan enacted "Takeshima Day" in March 2005, it has held commemorative ceremonies with Japanese politicians present each year on February 22. Japan has marked Dokdo as its territory in elementary and middle high school textbooks, and the number of such references has been increasing in recent years. Shimane Prefecture, which is the area nearest to Dokdo is strengthening Dokdo education in its geography classes at elementary and middle schools as part of regional studies. The study and education on Dokdo was begun by social studies teachers in the Oki Islands in Shimane Prefecture, but now extends throughout the prefecture. The auxiliary educational materials regarding Dokdo produced in Shimane Prefecture include teaching guidelines for teachers, worksheets for students, CDs containing statistics and picture files, and two kinds of DVD movie clips for each grade. In particular, schools teach the damage to the Japanese fishery industry caused by Korea's illegal occupation of Dokdo. This will likely form anti-Korean sentiments among Japanese students. It is hoped that Korean and Japanese scholars will work together to develop Dokdo auxiliary textbooks in order to improve the correct historical understanding of Dokdo.
