농촌 노인의 세대간 사회적 지원 교환과 생활만족: 성별 및 연령집단별 비교 (Intergenerational Social Support Exchanges and Life Satisfaction Among the Rural Elderly: Sex and Age Group Differences)

  • This study focused on individual differences in social support among older adults. The purposes of this study were to investigate sex and age group differences in social support and to examine the effects of intergenerational social support on life satisfaction among the rural elderly. Data were from 545 elderly over 60 years of age living separately from adult children in the rural area. With regard to sex differences in support exchanges, no significant differences were found in support-giving and support-receiving. Men reported giving more financial support to children than women, while women reported receiving more financial support from children than men. With regard to age group differences in support exchanges, there was less support-giving in older age group. Older parents in their 60s reported giving more financial, instrumental, and emotional support and receiving less financial support than the group of age 70+ Regression analyses showed that life satisfaction of both men and women was affected by support size and the frequency of contact with children. Giving financial and instrumental support was significantly associated with life satisfaction of men, but giving and receiving each type of social support had no effects on life satisfaction of women. Life satisfaction of parents in their 60s was found to be positively associated with support size, giving financial support and receiving emotional support, and negatively associated with giving instrumental support. In the group of age 70+, the frequency of contact with adult children and giving financial support had positive influences on life satisfaction.

  • 본 연구는 인간관계가 중요한 노년기에 가족이나 친구/이웃에게 사회적 지지를 제공하는 것과 그들로부터 사회적 지지를 받는 것에 따른 차이가 있는지 살펴보기 위해 삶의 의미를 매개로 노인의 자기존중감에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 부산 및 경남에 거주 중인 60세 이상 310명을 대상으로 가족 또는 비 가족과의 사회적 지지제공 및 지지받기 정도, 삶의 의미, 자기존중감을 측정하였다. 매개효과 분석 결과, 사회적 지지제공은 삶의 의미를 매개로 자기존중감에 미치는 경로가 유의한 것으로 나타나 삶의 의미의 부분매개효과가 확인되었다. 반면, 사회적 지지받기는 삶의 의미에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 양상은 가족과 비 가족에 관계없이 유사하게 나타났다. 사회적 지지제공이 삶의 의미를 통해 노년기 자기가치감을 증진한다는 결과는 인생 쇠퇴 시기인 노년기 행복의 원천으로서 친밀한 타인과의 사회적 교류의 중요성을 시사한다.

류마티스 관절염 환자가 지각하는 사회적 지지와 영향요인에 관한 조사연구 (Influencing Factor on Social Support perceived by Patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the influencing factors on the social support perceived by patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Methods: The subjects for this study were 468 patients registered in 2 general hospitals and the period of data collection was from October 20, 2013 to February 20, 2014. The data were analyzed with t-test, ANOVA and Pearson's correlation coefficients. Results: The mean of item of social support was 3.31 in patients. For social support, there were significant differences by gender and economics in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. Conclusion: Managing social support was important for patients with rheumatoid arthritis to promote health. To enhance social support of patients with rheumatoid arthritis, nursing intervention strategies must be developed for increasing economics or giving information about their activity of daily living.

  • 본 연구는 결혼이주여성의 사회적 연결망이 어떤 구조적 특성을 지니며, 이런 특성에 따라 사회적 연결망이 제공하는 사회적 지지의 유형이 다르게 나타나는지를 분석하고자 하였다. 또한 결혼이주여성을 사회적 지지를 받는 대상으로서 뿐만 아니라, 지지를 제공하는 주체로서 인식하고 도움을 받는 연결망과 주는 연결망이 차이를 보이는지를 살펴보았다. 본 연구는 눈덩이표집방식을 통해 표집한 결혼 이주여성 53명의 자아중심적 연결망 분석을 수행하였다. 분석결과 결혼이주여성은 사회적 연결망을 통해 사회적 지지를 주고받았으며, 연결망내에 중복되지 않는 다양한 연계를 갖는 경우 사회적 지지를 더 많이 받았다. 본 연구는 결혼이주여성의 사회적 연결망의 구조적 특성과 사회적 지지 유형간의 관계에 대한 분석기반을 마련하였다는데 의의가 있다.

자선에서 연대로, 동정에서 공감으로: 노란봉투 캠페인의 사례연구 (From Charity to Solidarity, Sympathy to Empathy: The Case of Yellow Envelope Campaign)

  • 기부는 공동체를 향한 사회구성원들의 자발적 실천으로 사회적 연대감을 형성하고 갈등을 조절하는 중요한 기능을 수행한다. 한국사회는 기부참여율과 규모가 꾸준히 증가하고 있음에도 불구하고 기부문화가 동정심에 기반한 자선적 기부에 집중되면서 공동체의 연대를 목적으로 하는 기부는 상당히 취약한 편이다. 본 연구는 2014년 '노란봉투 캠페인'을 중심으로 기부행위가 사회적 연대와 공감으로서 확장되는 현상의 변화동인과 속성을 분석한다. 기부자를 대상으로 실시한 설문조사와 심층인터뷰를 통해 밝혀진 결과는 다음과 같다. 이들은 해고노동자가 겪고 있는 어려움에 대해 공감하고 내면화하면서 해고노동자를 수혜대상으로 바라보지 않고 '문제를 함께 해결해야 하는 동료'로 인식하고 있으며, 같은 노동자이자 사회구성원으로서 공동의 책임감을 가지고 있다. 동질감(소속감)과 함께 공동의 목표를 달성하고자 하는 협력적 네트워크, 어려움이 처했을 때 도와줄 이웃이 있다는 호혜와 신뢰를 형성했다. 경제적 빈곤보다는 개인들이 파편화, 고립화로 인해 정서적 빈곤을 겪는 현대사회에서는 물질적 자원의 기부도 필요하지만, 정서적 공감과 연대로서의 기부가 확산되는 현상은 우리사회 변화의 중요한 지표가 될 것이다.

조모의 손자녀 돌봄만족과 관련변인의 영향력에 관한 연구 -취업모가정의 동거조모와 비동거조모의 비교- (Grandmothers' Caregiving Satisfaction of Raising Grandchildren and the Related Variables)

  • This study was conducted in order to understand grandmothers' satisfaction of caring for working mothers' children and the influence of related variables with regard to living arrangements. The data were collected from 245 grandmothers who have been caring for their grandchildren for more than 6 months. The data were analyzed by mean, t-test, $x^2$-test, and hierarchical multiple regression. The results were as follows: First, Degree of satisfaction was lower in grandmothers who were living with their children than those who were not. Second, the variables affecting the grandmothers living with their children were economic status, extent of care giving activities, and social support, wherein social support proved to be the most influential. In the case of those not living with their children, the significant variables were motive and social support, motive being more influential. This result indicates that affecting variables differ by the grandmothers' living arrangements, and thus the strategy to enhance their care giving satisfaction should differ as well, based on the findings.

학교위기관리경영 능력향상에 관한연구 - 청소년 자살 위기관리 시스템 중심으로 (A Study on School Crisis Management Capabilities - Focus On Effects to Teenage's Suicide Thinking)

  • 학교의 안전과 질서를 유지하기 위한 관리활동은 학교경영의 주요활동 중에 하나이다. 본 연구는 효과적인 학교 경영을 위하여 청소년들의 자살생각 영향요인을 규명하여 청소년 자살생각의 위험요인을 차단하고 보호요인을 강화할 수 있는 방안을 모색하고자 하는 목적으로 진행되었다. 이를 위하여 청소년 자살생각에 미치는 위험요인으로 청소년의 우울과 스트레스 정도를 분석하고 자살생각으로부터의 보호요인으로 추정되는 사회적 지지의 효과성을 검증하였다. 분석결과 첫째, 일상생활 스트레스 전체와 자살생각 간의 상관관계는 정적 상관관계로서 일상생활에서 스트레스를 많이 받을수록 자살생각이 많아짐을 나타내었다. 둘째, 우울과 자살생각과는 정적 상관관계를 보여 우울이 심할수록 자살에 대한 생각이 많아짐을 나타내었다. 셋째, 사회적 지지와 자살생각은 부적인 관계성을 보여 사회적 지지가 높을수록 자살생각이 낮은 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과에 의하면 청소년의 자살은 예방적 차원에서의 접근이 무엇보다 중요하다. 또한 분석결과는 청소년 자살을 예방하기 위해서는 청소년의 자살생각 위험요인을 완화시킬 수 있는 사회적 지지가 필요함을 보여준다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 사회적 지지를 강화할 수 있는 사회적 관심과 지지체계의 형성, 이를 통한 예방적 접근의 필요성, 자살생각 강화요인에 대한 대안적 프로그램의 접근, 사례관리 및 집단프로그램의 방법활용 등 청소년 관련기관과 전문가의 개입과 통합적 관리, 학교환경의 개선과 변화가 필요함을 제언하였다.

만성 폐쇄성 폐질환자의 자가간호와 자기효능감 및 사회적지지와의 관계 (Relationships among Self-care, Self-efficacy, and Social Support in Patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease)

  • Purpose: This study was to investigate relationships among self-care, self-efficacy and social support in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). Method: The subjects were 114 patients with COPD from both inpatient and outpatient department sin a branch hospital of C university located in Gyeonggi-do from April 2005 to May 2005. Self-care was measured by No Hyeon-Suk's (2003) scale, self-efficacy was measured by Wigal et al's (1991) scale, social support was measured by Park Sun-Ju's (2001) scale. Data were analyzed by using t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression. Results: The total mean was 3.1 for self-care, 3.5 for self-efficacy, and 4.3 for social support. The levels of self-efficacy and social support were significantly and positively correlated with the level of self-care. The level of self-care was influenced by social support explaining 16% and the level of self-efficacy explaining 6%, giving a total of 22%. Conclusion: The result of this study showed that the patients with COPD carried out self-care better when they had higher levels of self-efficacy and social support. Thus, we will improve the level of self-care of patients with COPD by nursing intervention to increase self-efficacy and social support.

퇴원후 뇌졸중환자의 사회적 지지망 특성과 성별에 따른 차이 (Social Support Network and Gender Difference in Post-hospitalized Stroke Patients)

  • Social support was found to have buffering effects on the stress response of stroke patients. Especially, the aspects of social support found to be most influential were support from a close, personal source, and overall satisfaction with support. The purpose of this study was to identify the current social network and its characteristics according to gender difference in post-hospitalized stroke patients in Korea. The sample consisted of a convenience sample of 254 patients was recruited 129 men and 125 women who were receiving follow-up care at outpatients clinics. Four aspects of social support-source, quantity, qualify & type- were measured using the modified Social Support Inventory for Stroke Survivors(SSISS) which was developed by McColl & Friedland(1989). Regarding sources of social support, 61.4% reported for 'spouse' as primary caregiver and 31.9%, 'children'. But the distribution of sources of personal support were related to gender; 82.2% of male patients had support from their spouses, while only 40% of female patients reported from 'spouse' but 51.4% from 'children'. Among the children, daughters and sons were more significant support persons than daughters-in-law. The percentages for sources of these significant other support persons were 55.5% for 'children', 8.7% for 'spouse', and 8.3% for 'brothers'. The physician at the outpatient department was the main source of professional support. For the quantify and qualify of social support, the primary caregiver's support was more significant than support by significant other persons. Male patients reported that primary the caregiver' support was greater than that of significant other persons, while female patients perceived significant other persons as giving greater support. Regarding the type of perceived social support, the stroke patients were highly satisfied with the primary caregiver's support in aspects of instrumental, emotional, and informational support. They also reported high satisfaction with support from significant others' support in the aspect of emotional support, while emotional and informational support from professionals was reported as satisfactory. In conclusion, gender difference in the social support network was found in that male patients perceived more support from their spouses, while female patients perceived more support from their children as compared to their spouses.

B2C 마이크로블로깅을 통한 고객참여 메커니즘의 이해 (Understanding Customer Participation Behavior via B2C Microblogging)

  • Social network services based on openness, connectedness, and mass participation are reshaping many aspects of how companies conduct business and create value for their customers. For instance, Facebook and Twitter are expected to play a pivotal role as a new communication channel through which companies-forge close relationships with their customers for co-creation of value for mutual benefits. Given the potential of social network services, it is not surprising that many companies have strategically invested in social network services to reach out to customers. Despite the growing interest in social network services as a platform to connect companies and their customers, few guidelines exist about how managers can effectively utilize social network services in forging relationships with their customers. As such, scholars should pay greater attention to how firms can successfully develop relationships with their customers on social network services. In particular, this study employs the S-O-R (stimulus-organism-response) framework as a theoretical lens to develop a research model that explains customers' participation in the value co-creation platform that companies opened on Twitter. According to the S-O-R framework, certain types of individuals' behaviors can be best understood based on a causal link from environmental stimulus to organism, and response. We apply the S-O-R framework to understand how ubiquitous connectivity (stimuli) can influence customers' experience (organism) with companies on Twitter, which in turn influence their participation behavior (response). Two steps have been undertaken to empirically test the research model. First, we conducted a content analysis of tweets written by customers who follow companies on Twitter. As a result, we found event/promotion participation, company support, and giving feedback as three specific types of customer participation behavior. Second, we conducted a web-based survey to test research hypotheses in the research model. Participations in the survey were solicited to customers who followed companies on Twitter. As a result, a total of 115 respondents have completed the survey. Data were analyzed using the partial least square (PLS) technique. The results of data analysis suggest that ubiquitous connectivity (stimuli) had strong positive effects on perceive usefulness, perceived enjoyment, and perceived intimacy (organism). Perceived intimacy showed positive effects on customer participation behavior (response), such as event participation, company support, and giving feedback. Perceived enjoyment was found to have strong positive effects on company support and giving feedback. On the other hand, perceived usefulness did not have significant impacts on the three types of customer participation behavior.
