Application of Electronic Retailing in Apparel (의류를 중심으로 한 전자상거래의 활용 실태에 관한 연구)

  • This research examines 13 Korean Web sites and 15 foreign Web Sites to explore how companies present apparel products by both layout of graphics and information at the Web sites. The results show that most Web sites display tiny icons next to the item's text description. Clicking on these icons takes the customers to another web page, where the full size photograph of the item appears. The results also revealed that most web sites offer shopping bag function and payment options such as on-line and credit cards. The results indicate that Web sites are constantly evolving and following functions such as virtual dressing room, FAQ, the links, E-Cash payment, currency converter and multilingual sites are becoming standards in the near future.

A Study on Sales Training of Clothing Companies (의류 판매원 교육실태에 관한 연구)

  • The present study investigated various sales training programs used by apparel companies and compared each other in order to provide an important information for developing effective training programs for professional salesperson. Sixty eight companies were used and grouped into four categories based on brand characteristics : domestic national brand(DNB), casual brand(CB), foreign brand(FB) and domestic designer brand(DDB). Data were collected from the managers in charge or training salesperson by both questionnaires and personal and telephone interviews. Data were collected during July in 1998, and analyzed by using ANOVA, Duncan\`s multiple range test, and Chi-square test. Since the sample size was small, Yates\` correction formula was used to maximize statistical validity in non-parametric procedure of Chi-square test. The main purpose of sales training indicated by the companies were to satisfy customers and to maximize the profit. Significant differences were found among the groups in the importance level of training contents such as knowledge, and customer relation, training methods, place, and duration/frequency of training at training center.

  • In order to more effectively respond to the rapidly changing situations of domestic and foreign interior design industries and to expect their further development, not only academic endeavor but also practical one, that is, the introduction of the new interior-design management is necessary. This research aims to establish a preliminary model of interior design management conducted not by customers but by designers who understand the characteristics and structure of business environment. To achieve this, we will investigate and analyze previously suggested theories on interior design management and case examples. In doing so, we hope that this research will facilitate future researches which in turn may come up with more persuasive models of interior design management.

  • Responding to the growing trend toward information society through digitalization of relating tools, a specialized information center is called for the change in its role. It must create the more value-added service for customers by menas of combination of various digital media with communication network, domestic and foreign. This study analyzes the theoretical framework and concrete examples of digital information services in special information center pursuing user-centered service. To make an efficient execution of user-centered information service, the effort is needed to develop and enlarge digital information services improving the level of service.

  • Abnormal conditions and disturbances in distribution system cause an immediate influence to the customers. Conventional detection schemes for the distribution abnormalities have been applied in limited extents mainly because of their low reliability. In this paper, we developed a disturbance identification system which monitors the load level after a transient, checks the harmonic behavior of the load, and finally makes decision on the cause of the disturbance. This system identifies and discriminates overcurrent faults, arcing ground faults, recloser activities, and foreign object or tree contacts. In the implementation of the identification system, we applied fuzzy logic to better represent some variables whose Quantities are expressed only in non-numerical terms.

  • Currently, there has been a special practical program in Transmission for developing country(Southeast Asia, China and the Middle East) in KEPCO..And it will enhance the value of KEPCO by having highly competitive practical programs compare to other electric power company in developed countries. In this program, we focused on actual affairs to help engineers become experienced and all lecturers-experts in practical work-are giving the know-how of technique and skill..This program consists of 16 courses(Power system, Transmission construction and maintenance )which is designed for customers own needs. Therefore anyone can make the order of the course as they need. This program has contributed much to the growth of the company and helped to achieve a world-wide reputation. Also foreign aid project created a KEPCO image which will enjoy the nation's love and confidence. Through this course we can increase our international competeitivenessand and will have a chance to start a business that has a future in Northwest Africa.

  • The importance of perceived quality and brand loyalty is increasing recently both domestic and foreign. So many papers perform research on service quality and brand loyalty. Today, there is the rapid growth in the Korean mobile telecommunications service market. But mobile telecommunications service companies don't pay full attention to customers' attitude and brand loyalty. This paper shows why Korean mobile telecommunications service companies have to focus on Brand Loyalty. This paper investigates the relationship among perceived quality, attitude and brand loyalty in the area of mobile telecommunications service.

  • Entrepreneurship is a creation of new combinations of goods and services. Today, every aspect of business operations has been changing, which we call development. The conventional business included production and manufacturing of goods and serving things the customer needed. Today, the business has changed form so that the demands of customers are shaped by the good or service which has been created by the businesses. Entrepreneurship in Mongolia is not a new concept but nowadays the number of entrepreneurs in Mongolia has grown sharply. Mongolia was a nomadic culture during its history and is probably the only nomadic culture left in the world today. Mongolian herders are the largest and the most powerful representation of successful entrepreneurs in Mongolia. Another practice of herders in the world are in Australia. Along with a comparison of the policy and government support system of Australia, this study intends to assess how 6 factors of the entrepreneurial ecosystem fit herders in Mongolia. As a result of this assessment, we propose policy to support the entrepreneurial mechanism of herders and identify cultural factors which support the existence of herding.

Is a Cause-Related Self-Prevention Campaign a Good CSR Strategy?: Effects of Negative Social Acceptance and Consumer Attitude on Biased Evaluations

  • This paper addresses the central issue of whether it is effective for a firm to discourage the purchase of its own product in order to support a social cause. The objectives of this study were: a) to examine whether a cause-related self-prevention ad would stimulate more positive evaluations compared to promotional ad, particularly when the product category is more negatively socially accepted; and 2) to determine if a negative attitude toward the product could induce a boomerang effect of a selfprevention ad. Results from three experiments revealed that socially responsible prevention campaigns against firm's own product may be more effective for the product category negatively associated with social concerns or welfare. If products are more limited in the social context, communications of product prevention are beneficial to improve the public image of the brand. However, the self-hurting approach may be inappropriate for potential customers who currently possess a strong negative attitude toward the product.

Designing Mobile Application for Korean Traditional Markets Based on O2O Service Platform (O2O 서비스 기반 전통시장 주문 모바일 어플리케이션의 설계 및 개발)

  • This paper explored how to design amobile application for Korea's traditional markets based on O2O service and data science technologies. In order to cover a broader scope of customers, diversify the ways to sell products, and increase the profits of Korea's traditional markets, the application bridges online customers with offline stores at traditional markets and augments both convenience and accessibility. Beyond the typical face-to-face interactions between customers and sellers at traditional markets, this application offers mobile payments and personalized recommendations of nearby stores and preferable products using Beacon and datascience technologies. Moreover, it offers multi-language support for foreign customers who are not familiar with Korea's traditional markets and the products sold there. In conclusion, using O2O service, which is a rising trend among prevalent platform technologies, this study proposed a new e-commerce model for Korea's traditional markets to promote market expansion.
