This experiment was conducted to extend utility of in-vitro culture material stalk and to mass produce uniform plants in Phalaenopsis. The optimal concentration of hyponex medium and plant hormone were examined. The most effective concentration of the hyponex in the flower stalk tissue culture of Phalaenopsis was $4mg{\cdot}L^{-1}$. The most effective concentration of TDZ and BA on the formation of multiple shoots in Phalaenopsis flower stalk culture was $0.3mg{\cdot}L^{-1}$ and $5mg{\cdot}L^{-1}$, respectively. TDZ was more effective for formation of the shoots and multiple shoots than BA at the basic medium with hyponex $4g{\cdot}L^{-1}$.

This study is aimed to a textile design with a motif of korean endemic plants and a method for printing it in an eco-friendly manner. The floral pattern with the motif of korean endemic plants was designed using Illustrator and Photoshop program. CMYK color, which is the basic color of Digital Textile Printing (DTP), is based on natural dyes, and various colors, achromatic colors and pastel tones are applied. As a result, half-linen and cotton were suitable as a result of designing and applying a floral pattern of a korean special plants. Also, as a result of analyzing the printing effect by colorway and DTP for each material, it was printed uniformly and the washing fastness was good. However, fastness of color change showed low, indicating that a follow-up study was needed. This study contributes to environmental conservation through eco-friendly printing and the korean endemic plants will be interested in people around the world beyond korea.

Through color analysis and survey of seasonal display cases using flower materials in department stores, hotels, and retailers, which are representative commercial spaces in Korea and abroad, it is designed to recognize the need for color planning that applies seasonal colors and emotional adjectives, away from the traditional method of relying on the season, shape and texture of materials, in the process of flower displays. The research method analyzed the colors used in the 48 domestic and foreign commercial space flower display cases collected. Based on this, the first expert questionnaire collected adjectives extraction and seasonal coordinates reminiscent of the case and examined the suitability of emotional adjectives extracted by the second public survey. The research results extracted typical colors and tones of spring, summer, fall, and winter, and recognized seasonal emotional adjectives. Based on these results, We could see that the color scheme should be advanced in the flower display, which used to depend solely on the shape or texture of the flower material, to produce the intended emotional design.

The writer did a survey of current textile patterns for the purpose of identifying a motif trend. After identifying a current motif trend the writer used an IBM PC 386 Computer and Lumena Software to design actual patterns. The results are as follows: 1. The most common currently used prints are floral patterns. 2. Knowing that floral patterns are most popular, the writer established a motif using the Rose of Sharon, the national flower of Korea. 3. Using computer graphics to move, enlarge and scale-down motif, the writer has been able to design various textile patterns. 4. Creating patterns with computer graphics was not only more efficient, but it also produced more accurate designs and a greater variety of designs. 5. Using the many computer graphic functions avaliable, a greater variety of patterns changes and compositions can be displayed than would be possible if produce by hand. 6. Computer simulations of textiles and clothing made it possible to evaluate the printed fabric or finished product. Faults in the printed fabric or clothing could be corrented before production. Through simulation then it is possible to create higher quality garments and readuce costly mistakes. Thereby greater profits will be realized from the finished garments.

In the modern era, characterized by the "one-person household, one-person media" era, the environment of plants protects people from stress by restoring human emotional efficiency, environmental comfort, and stability. In other words, because humans have a preference for nature, plants play an important role for humanity recovery. Against this backdrop, flower design is expected to be a promising industrial sector with high growth, high value added and high job creation effects. In the era of the fourth revolution of the human race, competitive video contents are expected to influence the growth of the future country. will be.

This design study was conducted to plan and propose the bus-station as the public design for Cheongju City. The study was provided other purposes which designed its function as plant container and revealed the brand identity of Cheongju City, Jikji. At planning stage, design plant container with motif from top roof of the Early Printing Museum of Cheongju. And planed it located on the top of facility. The facilities, with design factors that increase satisfaction, were planed through the analysis of user behavior. The narrow frame and transparent wall were intended to establish clear sight for its users or pedestrians on road. In order to harmonize with urban surroundings, decreased the fanciness of designed figure and used achromatic color as lead main color.

Standard carnations are widely used in flower design as a mass flower, but there is a limit to the use in that it can not be used in various colors in addition to its own color. The purpose of this study was to investigate how does artificial dyes affect vase life, using standard carnations, and to improve utilization of dyeing carnations in floral design. Using standard carnation 'White Liberty', dyeing experiment was performed according to four kinds of chemicals for each of six dyes. Six different dyes from Koch(Robert Koch industries Inc., USA) as follows light blue(2386), lime green(2315), christmas red(2506), lavender(2200), orange fire(2268) and black(2012) have been used and four different chemicals as follows distilled water, 4% ethanol, 3% sucrose and 100mg·L^-1 citric acid have been used with the cut Dianthus caryophyllus 'White Liberty'. As a result, six different dyes showed fast and excellent dyeing with 3% sucrose and 100mg·L^-1 citric acid treatment. But vase life in other dyes except black and lavender tended to be similar to control(7 days).

This study is a discussion of the expressive characteristics of contemporary fashion design with floral images. It aims to help understand the overall trends of contemporary fashion design and textile motif design and expand the potential expression fields of originative design to natural objects such as flowers. Methodologically the study analyzed 976 pieces of data gathered from Haute Couture and Pr$\hat{e}$t-$\grave{a}$-Porter collections of 2005S/S-2009F/W, according to their types of expression. The study results show a share of 42.7% for plane type expressions by printing or weaving and a share of 51.5% for relief type expressions, compared with 5.7% for solid type expressions. However, those expressions represented elegant femininity with emphasis on formative beauty and were applied to fashion accessories or hair adornments. The expressive characteristics found from the analysis were represented by natural images, feminine elegance, and decorative aesthetics of handicrafts. Flowers in the contemporary fashion purify the internal emotions of humankind stand for personality and beauty in many different ways of expression and serve as a means of expressing more artistic values breaking out of stereotype.

In this study, the subjects are the expression methods and compositions of peony patterns in Chinese textiles. This study represents the peony patterns which are from Tang Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty, the research subjects are the peony patterns in fabric, except the peony patterns which are expressed by gold foil, embroidery and kesi. The objects of this study are 72 pieces of peony patterns. We sketched the configuration details of peony patterns through the Illustrator program. Analyze and classify the configuration accurately. Based on the 72 pieces of peony patterns, expression methods and compositions of the peony pattern are as following, firstly, we classified peony patterns into three categories, based on expression methods, as realistic shape, pattern shape and shape. Among these 72 fabric relics, there most of realistic shape 42 pieces(58.3%), pattern shape 25 pieces(34.7%), and shape 5 pieces(7.0%). Secondly, in the realistic shape peony, the most of pattern has petal accumulate as grape- shaped. This type is found in almost every Dynasty and was used regularly in the eras of Song and Ming Dynasty. In the era of Ming Dynasty, by using petals like the curly mushroom, Yeongji(靈芝), the pattern of symbolizing longevity was habitually used. The U-shaped flower pattern (type E) and the pattern of emphasizing the veins of petals are found only in the remains of the era of Qing Dynasty. Thirdly, in the pattern shaped peony, the most of pattern has some petals which are separated(type C). Fourthly, we classified peony patterns into four categories, based on compositions, as individual branch form, floral branch form, cluster branch form and floral nest form. Among these 72 fabric relics, there most of individual branch form 33 pieces(45.8%), floral branch form 18 pieces(25.0%), cluster branch form 13 pieces(18.1%), floral nest form 8 pieces(11.1%).

In order to develop the marketing strategy of Korean floral arrangement courses for chinese tourists, this study aimed at gaining their participation motivation with application of the ZMET (Zaltman metaphor-elicitation technique). According to the results, 18 constructs ('a sense of accomplishment', 'Korean culture visit', 'teacher's high-quality service', 'professionalism', 'to be together', 'communication with others', 'joint pleasure', 'better than China', 'not available in China', 'healing', 'the feeling of happiness and love', 'easy access to art', 'wonderful life shot', 'beautiful interior', 'special design', 'expectation', 'close to nature', and 'nice daily-life decoration') were derived and 4 main constructs ('a sense of accomplishment', 'Korean culture visit', 'teacher's high-quality service', and 'professionalism') of the consensus map were analyzed. Therefore, the Korean floral arrangement courses for chinese tourists should open an adjustable level of difficulty of curriculum, offer an opportunity to experience other Korean culture and increase florist's abilities from various aspects.
