여교사의 옷차림에 대한 학생과 교사의 태도 비교 (Comparison of the Attitude for Female Teachers' Attire between Students and Teachers)

  • 여교사의 옷차림에 대한 학생과 교사의 태도를 비교분석하여 바람직한 여교사의 옷차림을 모색함으로써 보다 나은 교육적 효과를 주기 위한 기초 자료를 제공하고자 하였다. 연구 자료는 설문지를 사용하여 서울과 수원지역의 초 중 고 학생과 초 중 고 교사를 대상으로 수집하여, 학생 622부, 교사 176부를 분석에 사용하였다. 조사 자료의 통계처리는 SPSS프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 여교사의 옷차림에 대한 학생과 교사의 태도를 살펴본 결과 옷차림과 헤어스타일의 단정성과 정숙성에 대해 보통보다 높게 인식하고 있었다. 특히, 옷차림의 정숙성은 교사가, 헤어스타일의 단정성은 학생이 더 높게 인식하였다. 옷차림과 수업의 연관성에 대해 교사는 높다고 생각하는 반면 학생은 옷차림과 수업의 연관성이 낮다고 하였다. 교사 옷차림에 대해서는 교사가 학생보다 더 중요하다고 인식하였다. 둘째, 학교 급별로 살펴본 결과 여교사 옷차림과 헤어스타일의 단정성은 초등학교에서는 학생이 교사보다 높게 인식했으나 고등학교에서는 교사가 학생보다 높게 인식하였다. 정숙성에 대해서는 중학교에서 고등학교로 갈수록 학생과 교사 간에 큰 차이가 나타났는데 교사가 학생보다 더 정숙성을 요구하는 것으로 나타났다. 옷차림과 수업과의 연관성과 옷차림의 중요성에 대한 태도에서는 초등, 중, 고등학교 모두에서 교사가 학생보다 더 긍정적 태도를 나타냈다.

남.녀 중학생의 식생활관리 단원에 대한 관심도 및 실행 능력 (A Study on Interest and Application Ability in Meal Management of the middle School Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the degree of interest and application ability in meal management chapters of the middle school students, and to provide basic informations for the improvements of Home Economics curriculum and teaching projects. The subjects were 555 middle school students(275 males, 280 females) in Chunchon area, Kangwon-do. Research data were collected by means of the questionnaire and statistically analyzed by frequency, percentage, standard deviation, t-test, F-test and correlation analysis using SPSS/win. The results of this study were summarized as follows: There were significant differences in the degree of interest and application ability according to gender, school years, home economics scholastic achievements, and father's role in preparing meal. The degree of interest and application ability was significantly higher in female than male. First grade students showed more interest and higher application ability than the third year. In general, the higher home economics scholastic achievement was, the higher the degree of interest and application ability was. The more father's role was in preparing meal, the higher student's degree of interest and application ability was. There was significant correlation between the degree of interest and the degree of application ability.(r=0.853, p< .001)

중학생의 결핵에 대한 지식, 태도 및 예방행위 (Tuberculosis-related Knowledge, Attitude and Preventive Behaviors among Middle School Students)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to examine tuberculosis-related knowledge, attitude and preventive behaviors of middle school students and to investigate socio-demographic and health-related factors. Methods: 198 male and 188 female middle school students in M city were recruited for the survey. Independent sample t-test, One-way ANOVA and $Scheff{\acute{e}}^{\prime}s$ test and Pearson's correlation were performed to examine factors associated with tuberculosis-related knowledge, attitude and preventive behaviors. Results: The percentage of correct answers to questions testing tuberculosis-related knowledge was very low, 33%. The mean scores of attitude and preventive behaviors were 3.02 and 2.90 out of 4 (highest score), respectively. Middle school students who had experiences of health education or tuberculosis-related education showed significantly higher scores than their counterparts in all factors - knowledge, attitude, and preventive behaviors. Parental education, academic achievement, smoking, sleeping time, infectious disease education, and source of tuberculosis information were associated with knowledge, attitude, and preventive behaviors. Knowledge about tuberculosis had a positive correlation with attitude and preventive behaviors. Conclusion: The level of tuberculosis-related knowledge, attitude, and preventive behaviors was very low among middle school students. In addition, school health education was highly related to a higher level of knowledge, attitude, and preventive behaviors regarding tuberculosis. Therefore, to intensify students' preventive behaviors against tuberculosis and other infection diseases, sustainable school health education should be provided for middle school students who are at risk of developing tuberculosis.

농촌 중학생의 식행동과 가정과 식생활단원에 대한 태도 (Dietary Behavior and Attitude for the Food and Nutrition Section in the Home Economics Curriculum of Middle School Students in Rural Area)

  • The study was performed to investigate the dietary behaviors and attitudes toward the lesson of Food and Nutrition in Home Economics course among middle school students in rural area. The participants of the study were 647 second-grade students in a middle school in Geumsan-gun, Chungcheongnam-do. The main nutrition problems of the students were found to be deviated food-intake habits and irregular meal time. Twenty six percent of female students and 14.8% of male students skipped breakfast. Seventy three percent of the total students have a tendency of food aversions. The food groups they dislike most were vegetables and pulses. They answered they got nutrition information mostly from the class at school. Their favorite topic in the lesson of Food and Nutrition was cooking. Some students did not like Food and Nutrition because it requires too much memorization. Teaching methods they liked were lecture, discussion, and audio-visual presentation. Although 81.7% of the students thought that the lesson of Food and Nutrition was useful, only 17.1% of the students practiced what they learned from the lesson. These results confirm that nutrition education in middle school is essential to the students in rural area and that it is needed to find an effective teaching method and materials for them to change positively their food behaviors at daily life.

남녀 청소년의 친사회적 행동 관련 변인 연구 (Correlates of Prosocial Behaviors in Male and Female Adolescents)

  • The variables studied in relation to adolescents' prosocial behaviors were grade, prosocial moral reasoning, empathy, self-esteem, parental prosocial behaviors, support and marital conflict, social economic status, peer prosocial behaviors and support, teacher support, school life satisfaction and achievement. The sample consisted of 837 seventh and tenth grade adolescents. Statistics and methods used for the data analysis were Cronbach's alpha, frequency, percentage, t-test, Pearson's correlation and multiple regression. Several major results were found from the analysis. First, female students had more prosocial behaviors than male students. Second, male and female students' prosocial behaviors showed positive correlations with grade, prosocial moral reasoning, empathy, self-esteem, parental and peer prosocial behaviors and support, teacher support and school life satisfaction. However, female students' prosocial behaviors had a negative correlation with parental marital conflict. Third, important variables predicting male and female students' prosocial behaviors were empathy, peer prosocial behaviors and parental prosocial behaviors. Important variables predicting male students' prosocial behaviors were teacher support and prosocial moral reasoning. On the other hand, the important variable predicting female students' prosocial behaviors was self-esteem.

Jigsaw III 협동학습이 여학생의 과학학업성취도와 과학학습태도에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Jigsaw III Cooperative Learning on Science Achievement and Learning Attitude of Middle School Female Students)

  • 본 연구에서는 중학교 과학수업에 Jigsaw III 협동학습 모형을 적용하여 전통적 학습 모형과 비교해 봄으로써 Jigsaw III 협동학습이 수업 처치, 성 차이, 성적 차이에 따라 과학학업성취도와 과학학습태도에 어떤 영향을 미치는지 알아보고 남녀 분리반 여학생의 과학수업에 더욱 효과적인 학습 모형을 모색하려고 하였다. 남녀 분리반 중학교 2학년 4개 학급을 대상으로 하였다. 연구 대상은 전통적 수업 학급 여자 36명, 남자 35명, Jigsaw III 협동학습 학급 여자 38명, 남자 34명으로 총 143명이었다. 수업은 중학교 2학년 전기단원에 대해 총 18차시 수업을 실시하였다. 실험반 수업은 수업 내용과 관련하여 개발한 학습 자료를 사용하였고 통제반에서는 교과서 내용을 중심으로 전통적인 강의 중심 수업을 하였다. 수업 처치, 성, 성적 차이에 따른 차이를 알아보기 위해서 성취도 검사와 학습태도 검사를 사전 사후에 각각 실시하였고, 사전검사 점수를 공변인으로 한 공변량분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, Jigsaw III 협동학습은 실험반의 중학교 여학생들의 주관식 과학학업성취도 향상에 도움이 되었고, 중하위 성적 학생들의 과학학업성취도를 향상시키는 데도 효과적이었고, 과학학습태도 면에서는 Jigsaw III 협동학습이 스스로 공부하는 자율학습태도를 향상시켰다. 의견 조사에서 남학생보다는 여학생들이 Jigsaw III 협동학습에 대해 더 긍정적이었다. 그러므로 Jigsaw III 협동학습은 남녀 분리반 여학생과 중하위 성적 학생들의 과학학업성취도와 자율학습태도를 향상시키는 데 효과가 큰 수업모형이라고 할 수 있겠다.

2012년도 경기도 D 중학교 학생들의 치과 진료에 대한 공포 및 불안에 관한 연구 (Dental fear and anxiety of middle school students in D middle school in Gyeonggi-Do, 2012)

  • Pediatric and adolescent dental anxiety and fear have been researched in the connection with behavior modification for a long time and this dental anxiety can persist until the adult hoods resulting in extreme fear of and avoidance of dental treatments and causes oral health deterioration. However, the domestic researches regarding adolescent dental anxiety and fear are insufficient. For this reason, this study aims to examine the level of fear and the influential factors affecting their dental fear and to utilize the result as the basic materials in the dental management. The subjects were the students from a middle school located in Gyeonggi-Do. The school was selected by convenient sampling and self-answered questionnaire was filled in by the students. The distribution of responses in each category of fear was examined by frequency analysis. The analysis was conducted using cross tabulation in order to examine the difference between male students and female students and using independent sample t-test in order to compare the fear score of each category. The study results showed the fear score of female students for the category 'causing irritation during the dental treatments' was significantly higher in statistics(p<0.05). Therefore, these results should be reflected to the dental care environments in order for the adolescent to reduce the dental anxiety and fear.

남녀 중학생의 가족건강성과 자아효능감의 관계 (The Relation among Family Strength and Self-efficacy in Middle School Students)

  • 본 연구는 남녀 청소년이 인식하는 가족건강성과 자아효능감의 관계를 분석함으로써 자아효능감을 향상시킬 수 있는 방안을 모색하며 가정과 학교에서 청소년을 지도하는 데 있어 기초적인 자료를 제공하고자 한다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 남녀 청소년의 가족건강성과 자아효능감은 중간값(3.0)보다 높았고, 가족건강성 중 가족존중 및 애정이 다른 영역에 비해 상대적으로 가장 높았다. 둘째, 가족건강성과 자아효능감은 남녀 청소년 모두에서 유의한 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 남학생의 자아효능감에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 변인은 가족존중 및 애정이었으며, 이 변인은 남학생의 자아효능감을 29% 설명해 주었다. 또한 여학생의 자아효능감에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 변인들은 가족존중 및 애정과 재정적 안정이었으며, 이 변인들은 여학생의 자아효능감을 32% 설명해 주었다. 이와 같은 연구 결과를 살펴볼 때 청소년의 자아효능감에는 가족건강성의 영향력이 크다는 것을 알 수 있다. 따라서 가족 간의 유대를 강화하고 애정을 증진시킬 수 있도록 가정과교육을 강화하며, 청소년의 자아효능감을 증진시킬 수 있는 프로그램을 개발하여 제공할 필요가 있다.

Teasing from Parents and Siblings about Appearance Affecting Body Satisfaction and Self-Esteem of Middle School Students

  • In this study, it is explored whether teasing from parents and siblings about appearance of children affects body satisfaction and self-esteem of middle school students. A total of 594 adolescents participated in the survey and the causal model was tested with the data. In results, parents' and siblings' teasing was significantly correlated. Parents' and siblings' teasing significantly affected body satisfaction that showed a significant impact on self-esteem. In the mean comparison by gender, female adolescents suffered more from parents' as well as siblings' teasing on appearance than did male adolescents. Female adolescents indicated lower body satisfaction than male adolescents whereas no gender difference was found in self-esteem. In the multiple-model comparison, both the parents' and siblings' teasing about appearance affected body satisfaction of female adolescents while only siblings' teasing affected body satisfaction of male adolescents. The results indicate that female adolescents are more likely to be exposed to parents' and siblings' teasing about appearance at home than male adolescents, resulting in negative body satisfaction that is influencing self-esteem. The finding could be used as a basis for family education, calling for an attention to this issue.

Computer Assisted Instruction 성교육과 강의식 성교육이 여중생의 성지식과 성태도에 미치는 효과비교 (A Comparative Study on the Effects of Sex Education between Computer Assisted Instruction and Lecture: Focused on Middle School Female Students)

  • Objectives: The propose of this study was to compare the effects of sex education methods between CAI and Lecture on to improve sex related knowledge and attitudes of middle school female students. Methods: The subjects were selected from one of the Kyoungbuk province's girls middle school. Out of 9 classes of first grade, 2 classes were selected as experimental group and 2 classes were selected as control group. This research was conducted from September 1st to October 1st, 2004. 8 lessons of CAI sex education program was given to experimental group and 8 lessons of sex education lectures was given to control group. To measure the level of sex related knowledge and attitudes of the subjects, the researcher used the modified Kye's, Sung's and Jung's sex related knowledge and attitudes scale. SPSS/Win 10.0 program was used to analyse the data along with Frequency, Percentage, $x^2$-test, t-test, and paired t-test. Results: 1. Sex related knowledge score in the experimental group educated by CAI program will be different from the control group using lecture education(t=3.49, p=0.001). 2. Sex related attitudes score in the experimental group educated by CAI will be different from the control group using lecture education(t=2.94, p=0.004). Conclusions: From the above results, CAI sex education program showed as more effective than lecture method to improve sex related knowledge and attitudes.
