라텍스 재료에 의한 특수분장 표현기법 (The Technique of Special Make-up by Latex Materials)

  • The purpose of this study was to discuss how make-up materials were used for the design techniques of special make-up that is part of impersonation, what kinds of materials were applied to special make-up design and how they were utilized, in a bid to find out more materials available for each of diverse design techniques in pursuit of better make-up design. The most widely used materials were divided into transformational and supplementary types, and the focus of this study was placed on two different design techniques. One put transformational materials to use, and the other utilized supplementary materials that also could serve as alternative and effect materials. Unlike general make-up that pursues beauty, special make-up focuses on realistic effect, and it cannot make any progress without newer, diverse materials which are increasingly gaining in importance. Although special make-up designing is a skilled technique that requires systematic knowledge of theories, proper materials and repeated practice, there is no absolute standard for it, since it is a product of imagination and depends on delicate hand skills and its effect hinges on individual viewer's visual perspective. In the future, more comprehensive and broader-scale experiments are called for to tackle this problem.

실물과 디지털 화면에서 베이직 컬러 패션 소재의 시각적 감각 평가 차이 (Differences in Visual Sensibility Evaluation of Basic Color Fashion Materials in Person and on Digital Screens)

  • 패션 제품의 이미지는 소재의 재질감과 컬러에 따라 다르게 나타날 수 있으며, 실물과 디지털 화면에서의 이미지 또한 다르게 나타날 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 베이직 컬러 패션 소재의 실물과 디지털 화면에서 느껴지는 시각적 감각 차이에 대해 알아보고자한다. 본 연구에서는 60개의 패션소재로 시각적 감각 형용사 3쌍에 대해 실험을 진행하였으며, 색채, 요철과 같은 물리적 특성과 시각적 특성으로 나누어 각 요소별로 실물과 디지털 화면에서의 평가 차이가 있는지 알아보았다. 색채에 따른 시각적 감각은 실물과 디지털 화면에서의 평가가 동일한 감각을 느끼는 것으로 나타났다. 요철에 따른 시각적 감각에서 '요철이 있는' 소재는 실물과 디지털 화면에서 동일한 감각을 느끼는 것으로 나타났으며, '요철이 없는' 소재는 실물과 디지털 화면에서 서로 반대되는 감각을 느끼는 것으로 나타났다. 시각적 분류에 따른 결과는 실물과 디지털 화면에서의 평가가 모두 같은 감각을 느끼는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서, 패션 소재의 시각적 감각을 평가할 때는 소재 표면의 특성이 영향을 미치며, 실제 소재와 디지털 화면에서의 소재는 느껴지는 감각의 정도가 다름을 알 수 있었다. 본 연구는 패션 소재의 시각적 감각은 평가 방법에 따른 결과의 차이 있음을 제시함으로써 앞으로 패션 소재의 시각적 감각을 평가하는데 있어 다양한 연구 방법이 고려되어야 함을 시사하는데 의의가 있다.

영유아용 웨어러블 디바이스의 개발 동향 조사 (A Study on Trends of Wearable Device Development for Infants)

  • Because infants lack full communication skills and are not active main agents, nurturing and protection are essential. The value of smart devices that can help prevent potential threats and manage infant care is evaluated highly. This study offers basic research data that contributes to the development of devices for infant and parents as well as to future planning. This study compared and analyzed literature materials and visual materials based on news articles, advanced research, and official websites of brands. The research ranges and subjects are wearable devices for infants that were released or will be released between 2014 and 2017. Wearable devices that help protect and manage infant care are roughly separated into clothing, accessory, and the like. In this study, four kinds of clothing products, six kinds of accessories products, and fifteen kinds of other products were researched and a total of 25 kinds of products were analyzed. Categories was made in accordance with morphological characteristics, main features, materials and the design of wearable devices for infants depending on the device features. Wearable devices for infants that will be developed in the future must be based on a variety of suggestions in order to know best how to attach a sensor to an infant. From this study, the deduced trend analysis of wearable devices for infants can suggest new ways for follow-up studies as well as product development.

<라 트라비아타>를 중심으로 본 코르티잔(Courtesan) 복식에 관한 연구 (A Study on Courtesan Clothing in the Relation to )

  • The purpose of this study is to grasp creation background and social position of courtesan which is treated in social and cultural context and its effect on fashion and research representative courtesans from ancient hetaera to the 19th century and their costume characteristics. Its another purpose is to analyze the costume of Violetta, who is a heroine of opera and its costume characteristic as a courtesan. Most Courtesan clothing were made from bright color, silk and lace which were light, or transparent materials. Using silk and cashmere which were the symbols of class, she took the cutting edge fashion and struggled to break the social barriers. The clothing which the Courtesan wore always became a gossip among people and popular to the designers who could show their creativities because the Courtesan boldly wore the cloth like movie actresses or stars. The Courtesan who led the fashion not only showed the fashion as a simple expression of the beauty but also as a socio-cultural phenomenon which reflected their social awareness with arts, and changed according to the situations of the time and people. Violetta's party dress which was shown in the first and third acts of showed the shoulders and chest because of the deep and wide cut decollete, the waist was tightened with a corset as much as possible, and the opulent hips were inflated by the crinoline so when they walked it was swaying. Also it was decorated with splendid materials such as silk and lace, and sparkling jewels, fans, and neckless and even in case of the general clothing in the second act, it was decorated with braids and lace, frills and ribbons. In the third act, the weakness of the sick woman who was closing her life as the splendid Courtesan was emphasized by using colors of white and light purple and thin transparent materials.

디지털 시대의 의상 디자인 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study of Clothing Design in the Digital Age)

  • This study shows that clothes to be just the same as the real thing can be Produced through the third dimension computer graphics, and then presents that not only the area of fashion design can be expanded in the virtual reality field by doing the simulation of the fashion show, but also the information can be made the real time public ownership and the communication can be fulfilled smoothly. In this study, analyzing the third dimension computer graphic programs to be used much at present, Alias Wavefront Company's Maya software which was the most effective in the clothes simulation and the clothes CAD SGS OptiTex 8.7 which went well substitutive for it were used of them. The conclusions of this study that got through the work manufacture are as follows: The first, if the file manufacturing in the clothes CAD by using the computer was stored, the pattern used 3D simulation was available because it could be summoned in 3D software. The second, if the data of DXF form in Maya program was summoned, they could not be applied by Maya Cloth supported in Nurbs only because they were recognized as the DXF_layer. So the curve along the outer lines of the pattern was drawn and Maya Cloth was applied to be possible to get the natural silhouette of clothes. The third, when the clothes were manufactured by 3D, if the draping character was applied according to the textile special quality, not only the control of textile's thickness, weight, quality feeling, and silhouette was available, but also the clothes were available to graft the special textile materials. The fourth, the natural motion of model was produced by capturing the actual model's walking action In order to produce the fashion show motion and also the dynamic fashion show was available by the angle of camera, the establishment of lighting, and etc. in the final rendering. The clothes manufactured by 3D are available to change the design by changing the materials, or by adding the details, or by utilizing the special materials on clothes. Therefore, the trial and error following at the clothes manufacture can be reduced. But the elevation of the rendering speed, the price down, the strengthening of personal security, and etc. are required.

16세기(世紀) Renaissance시대(時代)의 복식분석(服飾分析)과 재현(再現) (A Study on the Restoration of Renaissance Costume)

  • Nowadays, retro to the past fashion is appeared just as often as new challenge and trial. The style of Renaissance Era is the most often revival theme for contemporary fashion. So, this study was focused on 16C of Renaissance costume. It is investigated the characteristics of Renaissance costume through referring the literature to be able to restore the past costume as through as possible with the object of building database for developing new design. This study is done in two different ways at the same time, direct study to restore and indirect study to refer. Direct one is of the past costume as thoroughas possible based on referring to the originals. The other is referring the costume historical literature The costumes to restore is chosen among 16C famous pictures on the basis of how much they can show the typical chracteristics of 16C costume. Materials including textiles and ornaments which are necessarily to restore were shopped in Dongdeamoon Market. Some materials had a problem to get exactly the same one in Seoul on 21C. After visiting imes, the materials is chosen as similar as originals. Three sets of costume were restored on the basis of referring "Pattern of Fashion" written by Janet Arnold. The costumes were restored by reinforcing bodice based on the size of waist and in every three works. The way of sewing is based on hand sewing for details and machin-sewing for seam. Quilting intl lining is uwed giving the fabric stiffness to maintain the form from the heavy padding. Also the part of piles on margins is used darts instead of gather, because of reducing bulkiness of seam. General closing methods are hook and eyes, and lacing with points.

뉴트로 트렌드에 나타난 그래니 룩에 관한 특성 연구 -알레산드로 미켈레의 구찌 컬렉션을 중심으로- (Alessandro Michele's Gucci Collection: A Study of the Characteristics of Granny Look in the New-tro Trends)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the granny look of the new-tro trend via Alessandro Michele's Gucci collection and to provide a reference standard for future design developments by identifying the representation of the granny look. To analyze the new-tro trend and the granny look, basic concepts were analyzed through aesthetic and art books and the photographic data were collected through Internet sites. A total of 186 fashion images were considered as granny look by five clothing experts. The images were subdivided into silhouettes and items, materials, patterns, and colors to analyze the modeling factors and identify the intrinsic inner meaning based on the theory of Nostalgia. The analysis showed that the silhouette was expressed naturally without exaggeration or shrinkage. The thermosetting materials included fur, velvet, knit and quilted materials, while the colors showed raw and faded shades based on the use of natural colors. The patterns were mostly natural, such as flowers, leaves, and stalks, which were aimed at nature. The inner meaning of the granny look is based on the theory of Nostalgia, primarily because it is an emotional fairy tale and second, it reflected the sessions of nature. Also, it is a reinterpretation of the narrative. In conclusion, the academic and fashion industries need to understand the various emerging trends in accordance with the social and cultural backgrounds to derive a positive benefit.

국내외 패션 저널에 나타난 한국적 패션 기사내용 분석 (Content Analysis of Articles of Korean Fashion in Domestic and Foreign Fashion Journals)

  • This study locates typical Korean fashion images in domestic and foreign fashion journals to advance Korea's international image in contemporary global fashion markets. The investigation of the frequency of articles and their types (so as to inquire into interest in Korean fashion in the global fashion markets) showed that for the appearance frequency of domestic articles studied, a good number of articles were published in the first half of 2008 and in 2009. In the case of foreign articles, the number of them increased from the second half of 2008 and the majority of articles were shown in the first half of 2010. Second, the investigation of the appearance features by article type studied in order to understand how Korean fashion played a role in the world's markets. The majority of articles were related to fashion brands that entered Chinese market in fashion brand articles in the case of domestic articles; however, many foreign articles introduced designers that participated in global fashion collections in Paris and New York. Third, as a result of analyzing typical key words by article type in order to find key words which could enhance Korea's fashion national image representing, we could confirm that 'Korean designers' can be a typical key words to represent Korean fashion. The key word most exposed in both domestic and foreign articles was 'designer Lie Sang Bong' and only his articles contained the content about influential Korean design materials.

패션 브랜드 CuteCircuit에 나타난 패션 공학의 적용 유형과 의미 (Application Types and Meanings of Fashion Engineering in Fashion Brand CuteCircuit)

  • This study considers application types and meanings of fashion engineering by analyzing CuteCircuit. The conclusions of this study are as follows. The application type of fashion engineering shown in CuteCircuit is first, electronic fashion, which attaches LED or WL on the surface of clothes to express the decorative function in clothes as optical light change, ultimately performing one-dimensional function. Second, interactive fashion is a medium in which clothing connects human beings with other human beings with sensors that can recognize the changes in tactile or movement with the wearer or with a light source that can visualize the emotional changes of the wearer. Third, scientific fashion has emerged as a new type of fashion in which new materials introduced in the field of engineering are fused with clothing to expand functionality and aesthetics. The meanings of fashion engineering in CuteCircuit is first, trying to conceptualize a new beauty as an open fashion that can freely change with the creation of a dual beauty by combining analog and digital sensibility. Second is the external representation of human psychological change or emotional exchange, which helps to form a consensus by understanding and exchanging emotions of different people. Third, reorganization of apparel pursuing integrated value appeared. Clothing, as a connection body in which the human body and the mechanical environment are combined with each other, is reestablished as a product of variable body that can embody an integrated value that includes various characteristics and can be diversified appropriately in any circumstance.

2005년 S/S Trend에 나타난 Jeans의 패션경향과 패션상품 개발을 위한 디자인 연구 (A Study On Trend of S/S Jeans in 2005 by Using Fashion-ware Development Design)

  • As fashion is a reflection of a way of life, jean fashion seems to be a reflection of the background and process of social-human psychology. Modern jeans reflect personality and trend rather than traditional practicality as indicated by the concept and emphasis of fashion. Since the early 1990s, practical use of jeans has appeared consistently in products for interior use, various kinds of fashion-ware and fashion properties, as well as in fashion that is a conversion and interpretation of an outstanding fashion trend. And the search, providing that various symbols of jeans are sensualism, deviation, ostentation, amusement and multi-culture, shows that jeans represent the multifarious aspects of fashion culture. For the purpose and necessity of this search to meet different consumers' desires by the practical use of jeans and the development of fashion-ware. First, investigate the trend of jeans in 2005. Second, try to change the various uses of jeans by reflecting the trend of jeans. Finally, extend the range of choice by developing various goods. As a result, basic jeans have the strength of function, activity, and originality. Use of ornamental jeans can fully show their value as well as their emphasis of individuality in beauty. If we consider these points, we can minimize the limitations of jeans and make a practical use of the fashion trend, If we make the function of jeans stand out through the use of varieties of materials, the modem characteristic consumption will be met by the various change of use as well as by the clothes.
