내러티브 탐구를 통한 초등 교과서에 수록된 외국 발명가 5인의 창의성 요소, 가정환경, 부모 양육방식 분석 (An Analysis of Creativity Factors, Family Backgrounds and Parenting Styles of 5 Foreign Inventors in Korean Elementary Textbooks through Narrative Inquiry)

  • A talented person in a knowledge based society is the person who has ability to create intellectual property value. This intellectual property comes from invention. According to several researches, invention and creativity have a strong correlation. And a manifestation of creativity is related to family background and parenting styles of a student. This narrative research is to understand creativity factor, family background and parenting styles of five foreign inventors in elementary textbooks. As a result of study, all of the inventors had intellectual curiosity, originality and sophistication. And despite economically difficult environment, they grew up in houses where gives an educational opportunity and their relationships with family members were good. Also at least one of their parents supported their decision and they participated in the education for their children.

다문화가정 취학 전 유아 한국어교육 지원을 위한 기초 연구 (Exploring Variables of Korean Language Education for Preschooler With Multicultural Family Background)

  • This study explored variables related to Korean language education for preschool children with multicultural family backgrounds. Participants were 21 Korean language teachers and 14 women who immigrated from China, Japan, Mongolia, Philippines, and Vietnam to marry Korean men. They were mothers of children 2 to 7 years of age and had lived in Korea an average of five years. Mean age of mothers was 37(range of 30 to 43). Half had college and none had less then middle school education. They were interviewed with a series of semi-structured questionnaires. The children were reported to have a low level of vocabulary and articulation because their mothers could not provide fruitful oral language experiences. Supporting systems including family literacy were discussed.

  • The purpose of the study was to develop family-based intervention program to be implemented and disseminated via "Healthy Family-Support Center." This preventive-empowerment program was designed to intervene with parenting mildly handicapped children enrolled at integrated kindergarten. The theoretical backgrounds employed were ecological theory, preventive family-based intervention approach, and theraplay theory. The pretest-posttest control-group design with random assignment was applied. The research model yielded a significant intervention effect(t=-1.294, p<0.05) on mothers' parenting stress. With proven effectiveness of family-based intervention program, the study further discussed why an ecological, family-based intervention model was a relevant alternative to investigate issues in family welfare, and why an individualized family service plan was a relevant tool to deliver services-in-context for the families who needed supports from exo-and macrosystems.

육아휴직 후 퇴사한 여성의 퇴사과정과 유형에 관한 탐색적 연구 : 여성의 일-가정 양립을 방해하는 배경을 중심으로 (Study on the resignation backgrounds of female workers leaving work after parental leave)

  • 본 연구는 육아휴직을 사용했음에도 퇴사를 하게 된 여성들의 퇴사과정을 살펴봄으로써, 퇴사여성들의 일터와 가정의 어떤 배경들이 육아휴직제도의 정책시나리오를 거슬러 이들의 일-가정 양립을 방해하는 힘으로 작용했는지를 짚어보는 데 그 목적이 있다. 육아휴직제도는 여성이 출산 육아로 노동시장을 떠나게 되는 현상을 막기 위한 대표적인 일-가정 양립 정책이다. 그러나 육아휴직을 이용한 후에도 일과 가정을 병행하지 못하고 결국 퇴사하게 되는 사례들이 꾸준히 증가하고 있다. 육아휴직제도의 본질적 목표가 여성노동자의 노동시장 복귀이니만큼, 정책목표를 온전히 달성하기 위해서는 육아휴직 사용 이후에 퇴사에 이르게 된 경위에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 이에 본 연구는 육아휴직 사용 이전부터 퇴사를 계획했던 여성 4명(A집단)과 육아휴직 사용 이전에는 일-가정 양립을 위해 직장복귀를 원했지만 결국 퇴사를 하게 된 여성 4명(B집단)의 사례를 중심으로 이들의 퇴사과정을 분석했다. 나아가 이들의 퇴사원인이 일과 가정 중 주로 어디에서 기인하고 있는지를 중심으로 A집단을 직장회피형과 가정순응형, B집단을 직장희생형과 가정선택형으로 세분화해보았다. 이를 통해 여성에게 비친화적인 노동시장의 근무여건과 고착화된 성별분업이 여성노동자들이 육아휴직 전부터 퇴사를 결심하게 되는 주요배경이 되고 있으며, 육아휴직 사용자에 대한 직장의 부당처우와 육아휴직 중 재발견하게 된 모성애가 육아휴직 이후에 여성노동자들이 퇴사를 선택하게 되는 힘으로 작용하고 있음을 발견할 수 있었다. 마지막으로 결론에서는 여성 노동자들을 직장에서 밀어내고 가정으로 끌어당기는 위와 같은 힘들을 완화시키고 일-가정 균형을 이루기 위해서는 어떤 대책들이 보완되어야 하는지에 대해 논의해보았다.

이민자녀들의 한국교육경험에 관한 질적 연구 (A Qualitative Study on Educational Experiences of Students with Multicultural Family Backgrounds)

  • 본 연구는 다문화적 가정 배경을 지닌 이민자녀들의 한국학교에서의 교육적 경험을 심층적으로 조사하기 위하여 기획된 장기연구프로젝트의 일환으로서, 파일럿으로 실시된 기초조사연구이다. 본 연구를 통하여 연구자는 외국에서 태어나 한국으로 이민 오게 된 세 명의 이민자녀들을 연구 참여자로 선정하여 이들 세 학생이 본국과는 다른 문화적 사회적 맥락을 가진 한국에서 겪는 적응과정 및 경험, 장애 등을 질적 연구방법을 통해 살펴보고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 연구 참여자들의 목소리를 직접 반영하기 위하여 내러티브 탐구와 반구조화된 심층 면접기법을 사용하였다. 연구결과 이들 이민자녀들이 그들의 교육에서 가장 시급하게 느끼는 문제는 그들의 연령과 단계별 특성에 맞춘 보다 체계적인 언어교육 프로그램임을 알 수 있었다. 이들 이민자녀들도 한국에서 태어나고 자란 다문화적 가정배경을 가진 다문화가정자녀들과 마찬가지로 학업성취도와 교우관계, 그리고 미래 진로역시 한국어 습득능력과 밀접한 관계가 있기에 한국어 교육이 무엇보다 중요하다고 인지하고 있었다. 다만 이민자녀들의 경우에는 한국에서 태어나고 자란 다문화가정 자녀들과는 달리 입국하는 연령과 국적이 보다 다양하므로 이들의 보다 다양한 특성을 고려한 한국어 교육 프로그램이 시급하다는 지적이었다. 이와 같이 좀 더 차별화되고 체계화된 언어교육 시스템의 필요성과 함께 또 하나 시급한 문제로 언급된 사안은 이들 이민자녀 청소년들 개개인을 전인적 교육관점에서 바라보고 전인적 교육을 실시할 수 있는 대안교육학교들에 대한 지지가 필요하다는 것이었다. 본 연구는 아직 부모들의 국제재혼에 따라 한국으로 이주하게 된 이민자녀들에 관한 연구가 부족한 현실에서 이들 이민자녀들의 관점에서 그들의 목소리로 그들의 한국에서의 교육경험에 관해 알아보고 교육적 시사점을 찾고자 한 점에서 그 의의를 찾을 수 있다.

어머니의 사회심리적(社會心理的) 역량(力量) 및 자녀에 대한 수용성(受容性)과 아동의 사회적(社會的) 역량(力量)과의 관계 (The Relationship between Maternal Psychosocial Competence, Acceptance and Children's Social Competence)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify what relationship exists between the children's social competence and psychosocial competence of mother, mother's acceptance for her children and is to clarify how children's sex, the demographic backgrounds of the families are affecting for the children's social competence. The detailed research areas which were dealt with in this study can be described as follows :1) Are there any relationships between mother's psychosocial competence and children's social competence? 2) Are there any relationships between mother's acceptance and children's social competence? 3) Are there any differences in children's social competence according to their sex? 4) Are there any differences in children's social competence according to familie's demographic backgrounds? Third grade 314 children who attend primary-school in Chongju were randomly selected as the subjects for the study and their mothers were also involved as subjects. Among them, mother-daughter pairs are 151 and mother-son pairs are 163. The result of this study is as follows: 1. There appeared significant positive correlations between the mothers' psychosocial competence and children's social competence. 2. There appeared significant positive correlations between the maternal acceptance and children's social competance. As the result of a stepwise multiple regression analysis, maternal acceptance appeared as a variable which indicates children's social competence. 3. There appeared differences in competence between boys and girls, and girls' social competence was higher than that of boys. 4. There appeared children's social competence differences according to the socioeconomic status of a family. Among demographic backgrounds of a family, mothers' academic careers, mothers' age, fathers' jobs, income were the variables which affect children's social competence.

에너지절약태도 및 관련 행동과 전기에너지소비의 영향요인 분석 (The Analysis of Determining Factors Influencing for Energy-saving Attitudes and Behaviors Related and Electric Energy Consumption)

  • This study tried to develop the theoretical backgrounds, explaining consumers energy consumption behavior and analyzed its effects. In other words, this study investigated the factors influencing the amount of electronic energy consumption. In this study, we used 678 questionnaires which were selected a quota sampling by living area who were above 20 years old and married. Summary of results of this study follows. First, attitude for energy saving was positively related with female, high school graduated large size of family members, elderly, and middle-class consumers. In addition, consumers' search for energy saving were appeared passively in young consumers under 30 years old, and the family with the highest household income. Consumers' purchasing energy-efficient products was presented in large size of family members, and young consumers. Second, consumers' environmental oriented behavior, action-directed behavior, healthseeking behavior were significantly related with energy saving behavior, and active information search for energy saving, but not with purchasing energy-efficient products and consuming behavior of electrical energy. Third, the quantity of electric energy consumption was affected by the size of family members, the living size of house related with high energy demand, the attitude for energy saving, and searching information for energy-saving.

노부모와 성인자녀간의 가족결속도가 노인의 자살생각에 미치는 영향 연구: 복지유통관점 중심으로 (Family Solidarity between Old Parents and Adult Children, Welfare Distribution, and Suicidal Ideation of Elderly)

  • Purpose - Today, the importance of the service industry has increased. Social welfare businesses that follow the non-profit principle have neglected the distribution of the service. However, an intangible service, when produced and consumed, has a similar service delivery system to common service distribution and social welfare. Therefore, the author has assumed the efficiency of the service delivery system of social welfare to be equivalent to the service distribution industry. Hence, various kinds of social welfare services for the prevention of elderly suicide, from the perspective of distribution, are discussed. Studies on generational relations have thus far investigated depression from parent-children conflict, and satisfaction with their lives. Studies on the relationship between family solidarity and elderly suicide by analyzing existing social problems are rare. This study investigated the effects of family solidarity between old parents and adult children upon elderly suicide by analyzing serious psychological and social problems. This study revealed basic measures for elderly suicide prevention through services that could elevate family solidarity from the perspective of social welfare service distribution. Research design, data, and methodology - The subjects were 468 elderly, 65 years or older, at 18 senior welfare centers and halls for the elderly at Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. Questionnaire surveys, excluding invalid answers, were analyzed. Convenience sampling was used from February 5, 2014 to March 5, 2014. The findings were: First, women and those having spouses with advanced educational backgrounds and social activities had primary solidarity such as contact solidarity, affectionate solidarity, functional solidarity (giving help), and functional solidarity (receiving help). In addition, those who had good health, from a subjective point of view, had more solidarity. Second, the elderly who were men and single, and who had poorer educational backgrounds thought of suicide, lacked social activities, and had poor health, from a subjective point of view. Third, family solidarity between old parents and adult children had significantly negative influence on the suicidal ideation of the elderly. Results - The study revealed the following implications. First, the preparation for old age should consider not only economic welfare but also the psychological welfare due to the relationship with children. Second, the phenomenon of elderly suicide because of a lack of family solidarity could increase national loss and have great influence upon welfare in old age. Therefore, planning of welfare services for the elderly should consider the value of relationships with children to improve the psychological welfare of the elderly. Third, the social expenses of government-oriented support for parents should be discussed from the people's point of view. Conclusions - The subjects of the study comprised the elderly at Seoul and Gyenggi-do; therefore, it would be difficult to extrapolate the findings to all the elderly in the nation. The subject visited senior welfare centers as well as halls for the elderly; therefore, it would be difficult to assume that the trends were representative of the elderly in the nation.

다문화가족지원센터 관리자의 직무 경험에 대한 인식 (The Managers' Perception of Work Experience in Multicultural Family Support Centers)

  • This study identifies the aspects of a managers' perceived work experience in a Multicultural Family Support Center and analyzes how work experience backgrounds are formulated. In-depth interviews were conducted with 10 managers from March to September 2015 to understand managers' work experience. Descriptions from the interviews were analyzed using phenomenological research methods. The result show that their work experience can be categorized into 73 meanings, 10 subcategories, and five themes. The five themes are 'program development,' 'employees assignment optimization,' 'use and control network resources,' 'deal with changes in needs of multicultural families,' and 'supports vs. controls.' The analysis of the themes and subcategories from each theme allows us to first interpret that managers consider their significant and diversified work tasks overwhelming. Second, they find their jobs fit them and feel personally interested with a sense of duty from their work to overcome stress from heavy workloads. Third, managers put a high value on their work as a hands-on experience that is an officially authorized position from the government. Fourth, they are proud that they contribute to offering welfare services to multicultural families as members of Multicultural Family Support Centers.

TV 시청 시간의 조정이 아동의 TV시청유형에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Adjustment of TV Watching Time on Children's TV Watching Patterns)

  • Two hundred and sixty-six mothers with preschool and primary school children filled out TV diaries for three days around the TV turning-off campaign day initiated by YMCA. TV diaries were designed to record the TV programs watched by family members as well as the focused child's activities every 15 min. 121 families participated in the campaign voluntarily and 145 families served as the control group. The campaign group watched less than the control group even before the campaign day and differed in several family backgrounds primarily due to the difference of family members' ages in both groups. Despite participating in the campaign, 53.9% of the families among the campaign group watched TV and 35.5% of the children in these families watched TV on the campaign day. TV watching time measured by the questionnaire was significantly higher than the estimates by diary method. Participating children in the campaign increased in activities such as reading, indoor play, as well as video watching. In the campaign group, TV watching time on the next day of the campaign increased slightly than the day before it. Preschool and primary school children's activities as well as the watched TV programs were analyzed separately for two groups. In addition, total TV on-time and coviewing patterns by the focused child with the family members were analyzed in relation to the child's other TV watching patterns as well as their related variables.
