The purposes of this study were 1) to examine the differences in job stress, teacher efficacy, emotion-focused coping strategies and depression of teachers in early childhood education and care according to their demographic backgrounds, 2) to investigate the influences of these variables on depression. 586 teachers in ECEC answered the questionnaires and the collected data were analyzed through frequence, percentages, Pearson's correlations, One-Way ANOVA, Bonferroni post hoc test, and stepwise regression using SPSS 21.0. The findings are as follows. First, job stress was significantly different according to ECEC teachers' ages and types of centers they were employed at teacher efficacy was significantly different according to their ages and education levels, emotion-focused coping strategies and depression were respectively significantly different according to ages, types of centers and education levels. Second, ECEC teachers' depression was influenced by undercontrolled expressionof emotion-focused coping strategies, home connection and promotion of positive learning environment of teacher efficacy, undercontrolled thinkingof emotion-focused coping strategies and work overload and job stress in order. These results imply that a support system and a policy should be established for ECEC teachers to express and understand their emotions in a positive way and related information should be provided to them through workshops.

This case study is to embody the birth of a beautiful goddess out of seashells in a contemporary fashion design collection, on the basis of the mythology of The Birth of Venus. The main theme attempts to reinterpret the image of the goddess of love and beauty and express the organic vitality of seashells and oceanic feelings by swirls in motion. To accomplish this, three dimensional silhouette of layered forms of voluminous outer and fitted inner is applied to design ideas with spiral curves. The opposite texture of something sculptural and transparent versus smooth and shiny is used to express the layered structure of seashells with the delicacy of goddess. Neutral colours and different tones of pink appeal to oceanic feelings and feminine emotion in a modern way. Various techniques by the geometric simplicity of flat patterns and pleating with boning are also performed to express the vital movement of organism. Throughout the whole process of this case study, the conceptual idea of Swirls in Motion - a goddess and seashells is reinterpreted to a contemporary fashion by personal and creative design development process. In particular, it is evaluated by the process of primary researches, various design developments and experimentations to the main theme.

Among korean traditional culture, TalChum(mask dance) which bears our unique cultural emotion, is about wearing a Tal(korean mask) and dancing, which express our ethnic feeling. The ethnic feeling was expressed into silhouette of hotel uniform which sightseers at home and abroad most frequently visit. This would be the best and the fastest way to show and deliver ethinic feeling of Korea. Fashion design of an uniform would be the best way to express group's unification and attachment. The purpose of this study was to design uniforms, in order to satisfy the property of function, aesthetic points, symbolism to inhere and to differentiate the group from others by using plastic and creative design. This study was meant to induce people to get near to characteristic of Korean culture, using hotel uniform design. Mask's plastic beauty of characteristic Chosun dynasty and express vividly Tal's image with Korean traditional reality was applied on hotel uniform design. By doing so, visitors can come back to the hotel with longtime memory of Korea. The characteristics and the humorous symbolism of Tal were designed and applied to uniform design on collar, bodice, pocket, and sleeves.

The purpose of this study is to develop Korean shoe-last based on the conformability of shoe. For this work, the important dimensions for the conformability of shoe were investigated and the systematic methods for evaluating the comfortable shoe were developed. Different two types of shoe-last for men and women were used in the experiment, respectively. 8000 feet dimensions of Korean adults were analyzed for developing standard shoe-last in this study. A total of 10 subjects (ranged from 21 to 25 years old) participated voluntarily. They evaluated each shoes made by developed shoe-last. A rating scale and description was used to express the degree of conformability. Also, 26 feet dimensions were measured using martin-typed gauge and footprint. The relationship between foot dimension and conformability of shoe was analyzed. As a result, Korean standard shoe-last was suggested based on the based on the conformability of shoe. The evaluating methods will be expected to help designer find more important design parameters. We will also expect that the standard shoe-last guarantee the optimal gait and minimal workload, especially in aspect of conformability.

This study is about the human sensibility measurement method. Researches on human sensibility measurement have been performed in many aspects. However, due to the subtlety and intricacy of human sensibility, it has been difficult to exactly measure human sensibility.At present, Semantic Differential(SD) method is most widely used to quantify human sensibility. In SD method, complicate human sensibility is represented on a scale with equal interval or equal ratio. However, this method has a critical problem in that human sensibility cannot be expressed with equal interval or equal ratio.In order to complement SD method and represent human sensibilities appropriately, we proposed an alternative method using the chroma-scale with saturation that had not equal interval or ratio. In experiment, proposed method shown that subjects understood a new scale easily and they could express their sensibilities on a new scale without any limitation. As a result, the chroma-scale can be used not only for measuring consumer's preference but also for evaluating or selecting sensibility words.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the preference and the sensibility for velvet, suede, and corduroy fabrics of the university students. A questionnaire survey was conducted on 153 female students in the Cheongju area, Korea. Frequency, F-test and factor analysis were used for data analysis. Female students preferred velvet and suede fabrics, but they did not prefer corduroy fabrics. They evaluated that velvet fabrics express varied sensibility. They considered that velvet fabrics have a more sexy and chic image than those of corduroy.

In modern times, text has become an image, and typography is a style that is a combination of image and text that can be easily encountered in everyday life. It is developing not only for the purpose of conveying meaningful communication, but also to bring joy and beauty to our lives as a medium with aesthetic format. This study shows through case analysis that typography is a tool for expressing human emotions, and investigates its characteristics that change along with the media. In particular, interactive communication tools and methods used by interactive typography to express viewers' emotions are described in detail. We created interactive typography using the inputted text, the selected music by the viewer and the viewer's movement. As a result of applying it to the exhibition, we could confirm that interactive typography can function as an effective communication medium that shows the utility of both the iconography of letter signs and the cognitive function when combined with the audience's intentional motion.

On Korean websites, people often use several Korean vowels or consonants solely, which is the way to express emotion. This way of expression has scarcely been examined seriously, though it is one of the most popular online slangs. This is an exploratory study that reveals how and how much these expressions are used on social media. Data crawling technique was used as a way to examine the usage of vowels and consonants in ordinary situations. 6 'Facebook pages' popular among Korean users are selected, and about 2.5 million comments are collected from posts in those pages. 10 expressions, including 'ㅋ(K)', 'ㅎ(H)', 'ㅜ(U)', are counted and analyzed from the collected texts of comments. As a result, several patterns of using vowels and consonants are found. Especially, 'ㅋ(K)' is used much more frequently than other vowels or consonants, and used more continually. It is also found that the patterns of using vowels or consonants in writing comments changes as the mood of posts or the characteristics of Facebook pages.

This study compared mother-toddler verbal interaction by play type (traditional play, free play, block play), and child's sex and age. Subjects were 10 boys and 10 girls ranging in age from 25- to 36-months and their mothers. An observer videotaped the children and their mothers at play in their homes. Results showed that (1) Mothers attempted more positive verbal interaction in traditional than in block play. (2) Mothers expressed more positive emotion in free than in traditional and block play. (3) Mothers more answer 'reflection' in traditional than in free play (4) Toddlers attempted more positive verbal interaction in block than in traditional and free play. (5) Toddler's positive emotion express was not distinguished by play type or by child's sex or age. (6) From 31- to 36-months's boys expressed more play situation than from 25- to 30-months' girls. This study provides groundwork for mother-toddler traditional play programs with potential for improving positive expression of emotion and language development.

In this paper, we proposed a method to automatically determine the optimal radius through multi-scale LBP operation generalizing the size of radius variation and boosting learning in facial emotion recognition. When we looked at the distribution of features vectors, the most common was $LBP_{8.1}$ of 31% and sum of $LBP_{8.1}$ and $LBP_{8.2}$ was 57.5%, $LBP_{8.3}$, $LBP_{8.4}$, and $LBP_{8.5}$ were respectively 18.5%, 12.0%, and 12.0%. It was found that the patterns of relatively greater radius express characteristics of face well. In case of normal and anger, $LBP_{8.1}$ and $LBP_{8.2}$ were mainly distributed. The distribution of $LBP_{8.3}$ is greater than or equal to the that of $LBP_{8.1}$ in laugh and surprise. It was found that the radius greater than 1 or 2 was useful for a specific emotion recognition. The facial expression recognition rate of proposed multi-scale LBP method was 97.5%. This showed the superiority of proposed method and it was confirmed through various experiments.
