  • We have developed an evaluation technique for ratio errors of current transformer (CT) comparator by using the precise standard capacitors. By applying this technique for equivalent circuit of CT comparator evaluation system, we can obtain the calculated and measured ratio errors in the CT comparator. Thus we can evaluate ratio errors of CT comparator by comparing the calculated and measured ratio errors. Because this method requires only the standard capacitors, it is simple and easy method to reliability and accuracy maintenance of CT comparator. The method was applied to CT comparator under test with the ratio error ranges of $0{\sim}{\pm}10%$. The ratio error of the CT comparator under test theoretically obtained in this method are consistent with that measured for same CT comparator under test by using wide ratio error CT within an estimated expanded uncertainty (k = 2) in the overall ratio error ranges.

  • The JV method is an epochal civil engineering style that boasts of significant pile driving power through low-vibration works by ideally combining the high pressure water injected from the water jet cutter and the vibrations combining from the vibratory pile driver extractors. As a result, you are ensured stable and safe pile driving and extraction in bedrocks that were previously impossible with conventional machines and methods. The other advantage is its high performance and a low-pollution characteristis that is ensured by suppressing ground vibrations. This is a very important factor since it often becomes an issue upon civil engineering in the city. With the addition of this method. the range of steel pipe pile, steel sheet pile and other steel pile use has been drastically expanded. Other advantages of this method incldes accurate works, shortening of the construction period and improved work performance. Since the minimun amount of high pressure water is used to drill the ground, it not only loosens the ground, but also cuts the ground at the tip of the pile to improve driving works.

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the effect of flipped-learning method on dental hygiene practice satisfaction. Methods: The study was a patient-group crossover design involving 53 third-year students at D's Department of Dental Hygiene. The study tools used self-questionnair and the analysis program used SPSS Ver 25.0. Results: Class satisfaction increased to 3.85 in the first semester and 4.23 in the second semester (p <0.05). Satisfaction with the flip learning method was 4.26, and most answered yes. In addition, it showed a positive effect on class satisfaction (p <0.01). As a result, it can be seen that the flip-learning learning method has a positive effect on the learners' learning motivation, academic achievement, and class satisfaction. Conclusions: it is considered that the flip learning method for hands-on classes should be expanded for the purpose of fostering job competency and high quality clinical practice experts.

  • Component mode synthesis (CMS) method can be divided into free, fixed and hybrid interface method according to each component's connecting conditions. In this paper, major mode synthesis methods were reviewed and their accuracies were examined by comparing the calculated eigenvalues with those from full finite element (FE) model. Also, CMS is expanded into the coupling between finite element (FE) and experimental model. Since the assumed experimental data seldom have slope information, the slope information at the interface points is prepared by curve-fitting of the calculated values. A simple beam structure to show the effectiveness of the above method, and we found that it can improve the accuracy of the synthesis method in calculation, expecially in the low modes.

  • The method of moment is applied to the analysis of electromagnetic scattering from an arbitrarily-shaped conductor. The conducting surface is discretized into triangular patches using a GID tool. Surface currents on a conductor are expanded with a vector triangle basis function. By using the Duffy's method, the singular integration appeared in a triangle patch can be transformed into the non-singular integral form suitable for one dimensional Gaussian quadrature integration method. Mutual and self integration extracted singular terms are evaluated by two dimensional Gaussian quadrature techniques.

  • Since 1970s, though many effective construction methods have been established to solve soft ground problems which had occurred in the off shore land reclamation and on shore highway construction, lateral movement of structure on soft ground is still a big problem to engineers. In this study an applicability of criteria for determining the lateral movement of the structure in soft ground is examined and most measured data is obtained from 140 bridge abutments in highway construction sites. Characteristics and effectiveness of existing methods that used for deciding amount of lateral movements of abutment are analyzed using the obtained data. From the analysis, a proper method to prevent lateral movement is proposed. This method is confirmed on several case histories which were constructed on marine clay.

  • In 1966 Porstmann was the first to successfully apply a new method by which a PDA was closed by a Plug transported by catheters through the femoral artery. We Successfully closed the isolated PDA in 6 consecutive patients using the transfemoral catheter method. To Perform this technique more safely and reliably, some instrumental and technical improvements was made. The Indications for this method have been Expanded to include the cylindrical or window Type ductus as well as the conical-shaped ductus. Classification into three Groups of the configuration of the by Angiography has been useful in selecting the shape of the closing plug. Whenever feasible, we consider the catheter technique to be the method of choice to close the ductus.

  • In recent years, ear has emerged as a new biometric trait, because it has advantage of higher user acceptance than fingerprint and can be captured at remote distance in an indoor or outdoor environment. This paper proposes an individual identification method using ear region based on SIFT(shift invariant feature transform). Unlike most of the previous studies using rectangle shape for extracting a region of interest(ROI), this study sets an ROI as a flexible expanded region including ear. It also presents an effective extraction and matching method for SIFT keypoints. Experiments for evaluating the performance of the proposed method were performed on IITD public database. It showed correct identification rate of 98.89%, and it showed 98.44% with a deformed dataset of 20% occlusion. These results show that the proposed method is effective in ear recognition and robust to occlusion.

  • Due to global warming, various natural disasters such as floods and droughts are increasing. If we can detect the possibility of natural disasters in advance, we can prevent massive damages caused by natural disasters. Recent advances in visual sensor technologies have enabled remote monitoring of a variety of natural environments, including lakes, rivers, and shores. In this paper, we propose a method to segment an image obtained from video sensor networks into regions in order to monitor the environment effectively. In the proposed method, we first partition the image into superpixels and model the connections between superpixels as a graph. Then, initial seeds for each region are set by using the prior information, and the initial seeds are expanded to form regions using agglomerative clustering. Experimental results show that the proposed method extracts the regions from natural environment images easily and accurately.

  • The dynamic behavior so fsaturaed-fatty acids $C_{16},\;C_{18},\;C_{20}$ and 8A5H were measured by displacement current method when a barrier was compressed and expanded. I-A, $\pi-A$ isotherms of $C_{16},\;C_{18},\;C_{20}$ were similar, but $C_{20}$ was bad relatively. 8A5H showed the form of double liquid films and had an reversible reaction when a barrier was compressed and then expanded.
