  • In this paper, we propose new randomness testing methods based on approximate periods in order to improve the previous randomness testing method using exact pattern matching. Finding approximate periods of random sequences enables us to search similarly repeated parts, but it has disadvantages since it takes long time. In this paper we propose randomness testing methods whose time complexity is O($n^2$) by reducing the time complexity of computing approximate periods from O($n^3$) to O($n^2$). Moreover, we perform some experiments to compare pseudo random number generated by AES cryptographic algorithms and true random number.

  • The present study has been carried out to develop a computational procedure for the analysis of the off-design performance in centrifugal compressors with vaneless diffusers by integrating empirical loss models and analytical equations. Losses in centrifugal compressors stem from a number of sources and their exact calculation is not yet possible. This study investigates several modeling schemes and shows that a fairly good prediction can be achieved by a proper selection of the most important flow parameters resulting form a meanline one-dimensional analysis. The performance maps for compressors are calculated and compared with measured performance maps. The off-design performance characteristics in terms of the pressure ratio vs. mass flow produced have generally correct forms. However, no universal means have been found to predict accurately the onset of surge. The prediction method developed through this study can serve as a tool to ensure good matching between parts and it can assist the understanding of the operational characteristics of general purpose centrifugal compressors.

  • With the rapid development of cloud computing, more and more data owners are motivated to outsource their data to cloud for various benefits. Due to serious privacy concerns, sensitive data should be encrypted before being outsourced to the cloud. However, this results that effective data utilization becomes a very challenging task, such as keyword search over ciphertexts. Although many searchable encryption methods have been proposed, they only support exact keyword search. Thus, misspelled keywords in the query will result in wrong or no matching. Very recently, a few methods extends the search capability to fuzzy keyword search. Some of them may result in inaccurate search results. The other methods need very large indexes which inevitably lead to low search efficiency. Additionally, the above fuzzy keyword search methods do not support access control. In our paper, we propose a searchable encryption method which achieves fuzzy search and access control through algorithm design and Ciphertext-Policy Attribute-based Encryption (CP-ABE). In our method, the index is small and the search results are accurate. We present word pattern which can be used to balance the search efficiency and privacy. Finally, we conduct extensive experiments and analyze the security of the proposed method.

  • Thermal properties of geomaterial are overlooked with other geomechanical properties. The transient line-source (TLS) method is one of the most used testing methods for measuring the thermal conductivity (K) and thermal diffusivity ($\alpha$) of materials. But more recently, Transient Plane-Source method was developed to measure these. It has several advantage of comparing with TSL method, but there has not been documented application in geomaterial. A Resistance Temperature Detector is used to construct sensor. For durability of Probe, Adopt a new technique that two probes are bonded in exact matching. For standard materials, such as glycerin, and ice the measured K and a values of these materials were generally within 2-5% from the standard values in the literature. This document present to evaluate the thermal properties of geomaterials and its application was tested for varying degree of saturation using the Transient Plane Source method. The result of this study suggests that it is an comparatively accurate method for simultaneously measuring thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity and can identify the feasibility to geomaterial.

  • Search engines provide web documents that are related to user's query. However, using only the query terms that user provided, it is hard for search engines to know user's exact intention and provide the very matching web documents. To remedy this problem, search systems are needed to exploit personalized search technologies. In this paper, we propose not only a novel personalized query recommendation scheme based on folksonomy but also a new personalized search service architecture which reduces the risk of privacy violation while enabling search service providers to provide other various personalized services such as personalized advertisement.

  • We propose the VS3-NET model to solve the task of question answering questions with machine-reading comprehension that searches for an appropriate answer in a given context. VS3-NET is a model that trains latent variables for each question using variational inferences based on a model of a simple recurrent unit-based sentences and self-matching networks. The types of questions vary, and the answers depend on the type of question. To perform efficient inference and learning, we introduce neural question-type models to approximate the prior and posterior distributions of the latent variables, and we use these approximated distributions to optimize a reparameterized variational lower bound. The context given in machine-reading comprehension usually comprises several sentences, leading to performance degradation caused by context length. Therefore, we model a hierarchical structure using sentence encoding, in which as the context becomes longer, the performance degrades. Experimental results show that the proposed VS3-NET model has an exact-match score of 76.8% and an F1 score of 84.5% on the SQuAD test set.

  • A semi-analytical model based on exact numerical analysis of the 2DEG channel in pseudo-morphic HEMT (PMHEMT) is presented. The exactness of the model stems from solving both Schrodinger's wave equation and Poisson's equation simultaneously and self-consistently. The analytical modeling of the device terminal characteristics in relation to the charge control model has allowed a best fit with the geometrical and structural parameters of the device. The numerically obtained data for the charge control of the channel are best fitted to analytical expressions which render the problem analytical. The obtained good agreement between experimental and modeled current/voltage characteristics and small signal parameters has confirmed the validity of the model over a wide range of biasing voltages. The model has been used to compare both the performance and characteristics of a PMHEMT with a competetive HEMT. The comparison between the two devices has been made in terms of 2DEG density, transfer characteristics, transconductance, gate capacitance and unity current gain cut-off frequency. The results show that PMHEMT outperforms the conventional HEMT in all considered parameters.

  • Active database execute an action of active rule defined in advance which is triggered automatically, whenever an event with the matching event specifications occurs, its condition is evaluated. Because these rules may in turn trigger other rules, the set of rules may be triggered each other indefinitely, Therefore, we propose a termination analysis method to guarantee termination. This proposed method considers composite event as well as rule execution time. Above all, the method not only uses deactivation graph combined to trigger graph for exact analysis, but also improves the complexity of analysis. Also the proposed method enhances accuracy of analysis result.

  • In this paper, we propose a method for predicting a user's location based on their past movement patterns. There is no restriction on the length of past movement patterns when using this method to predict the current location. For this purpose, a modified search tree has been devised. The search tree is constructed in an effective manner while it additionally learns the movement patterns of a user one by one. In fact, the time complexity of the learning process for a movement pattern is linear. In this process, the search tree expands to take into consideration more details about the movement patterns when a pattern that conflicts with an existing trained pattern is found. In this manner, the search tree is trained to make an exact matching, as needed, for location prediction. In the experiments, the results showed that this method is highly accurate in comparison with more complex and sophisticated methods. Also, the accuracy deviation of users of this method is significantly lower than for any other methods. This means that this method is highly stable for the variations of behavioral patterns as compared to any other method. Finally, 1.47 locations were considered on average for making a prediction with this method. This shows that the prediction process is very efficient.

  • In this paper, we propose an algorithm that estimates the location of lunar rover using IMU and vision system instead of the dead-reckoning method using IMU and encoder, which is difficult to estimate the exact distance due to the accumulated error and slip. First, in the lunar environment, magnetic fields are not uniform, unlike the Earth, so only acceleration and gyro sensor data were used for the localization. These data were applied to extended kalman filter to estimate Roll, Pitch, Yaw Euler angles of the exploration rover. Also, the lunar module has special color which can not be seen in the lunar environment. Therefore, the lunar module were correctly recognized by applying the HSV color filter to the stereo image taken by lunar rover. Then, the distance between the exploration rover and the lunar module was estimated through SIFT feature point matching algorithm and geometry. Finally, the estimated Euler angles and distances were used to estimate the current position of the rover from the lunar module. The performance of the proposed algorithm was been compared to the conventional algorithm to show the superiority of the proposed algorithm.
