Cyber Risk Management of SMEs to Prevent Personal Information Leakage Accidents (개인정보유출 사고 방지를 위한 중소기업의 사이버 위험관리)

  • Purpose: Most of cybersecurity breaches occur in SMEs. As the existing cybersecurity framework and certification system are mainly focused on financial and large companies, it is difficult for SMEs to utilize it due to lack of cybersecurity budget and manpower. So it is necessary to come up with measures to allow SMEs to voluntarily manage cyber risks. Method: After reviewing Cybersecurity market, cybersecurity items of financial institutions, cybersecurity framework comparison and cybersecurity incidents reported in the media, the criticality of cybersecurity items was analyzed through AHP analysis. And cybersecurity items of non-life insurers were also investigated and made a comparison between them. Result: Cyber risk management methods for SMEs were proposed for 20 major causes of cyber accidents. Conclusion: We hope that the cybersecurity risk assessment measures of SMEs in Korea will help them assess their risks when they sign up for cyber insurance, and that cyber risk assessment also needs to be linked to ERM standardization.

Distribution of resistance genes against lincomycin of pathogenic bacteria isolated from cultured olive flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus) (양식 넙치에서 분리한 어병세균의 lincomycin에 대한 내성 유전자의 분포)

  • Lincomycin as one of the lincosamides antibiotics have been mainly used in human and livestock fields, but have not been used in aquaculture. In this study, the distribution of minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values against lincomycin and the detection of the macrolide-lincosamide-streptogramin (MLS) resistance gene were confirmed in bacterial pathogens isolated from cultured olive flounder (Paralichthys olivaceus). Of the 107 strains isolated from Jeju, 36 strains of Gram-positive bacteria and 71 strains of Gram-negative bacteria were identified. Most of Streptococcus spp. was found to have a MIC value of less than or equal to 0.5 ㎍/mL, and Edwardsiella piscicida was found to have a MIC value higher than 1,024 ㎍/mL. V. harveyi and V. alginolyticus mostly showed MIC values of 256 ㎍/mL, but V. scophthalmi displayed values of 8~64 ㎍/mL. In the detection of MLS resistance gene, erm(B) was detected in 9 strains of Streptococcus spp., and erm(A) was confirmed in one strain.

An Empirical Analysis of the Relationship between Direct Construction Approach and Construction Quality in General Construction Companies (종합건설기업의 직접 시공과 건설 품질 사이의 관련성에 대한 실증분석)

  • This study undertook a empirical analysis, delving into the association between the direct construction approach and the construction quality of general construction companies. The research hinged on corporate financial data to elucidate the premise that a reduced emphasis on direct construction approach by general construction companies correlates with a notable prevalence of building defects. Specifically, the analysis engaged with the top 100 construction companies based on their construction capability evaluation in 2022. This appraisal leveraged the Empirical Research Model(ERM) rooted in financial data-sets spanning 2017 to 2021. Findings underscored that as the ratio of direct construction approach diminishes, the incidence of building defects amplifies, signifying a consequential dip in construction quality. Moreover, the research reaffirmed that companies with elevated construction capability evaluations or larger organizational scales tend to register decreased defect rates. This study fortifies, from a theoretical perspective, the legislative imperatives championing direct construction approach, by empirically spotlighting the potential perils of over-reliance on subcontracting.

Beneficial Effect of Korea Red Ginseng on Halitosis; Attenuation of H2S Induced Inflammatory Mediators and cystathionine γ-lyase Expression (고려홍삼의 구강악취 억제기능; H2S 생성에 따른 염증매개 유전자 및 cystathionine γ-lyase의 약화기능)

  • Halitosis is a generally accepted marker of diseases in the oral cavity and of systemic and gastrointestinal disorders. Based on these authors' previous findings (that (1) there is a close association between H. pylori infection and halitosis; (2) Korea red ginseng may suppress the colonization of H. pylori, fight H. pylori-induced cytotoxicity, and impose significant anti-inflammatory actions in patients with chronic gastritis; and (3) H. pylori infection is linked with the generation of significant levels of volatile sulfur compounds (VSCs), and the levels of VSCs correlate significantly with H. pylori-associated mucosal damages), in the current study, the authors documented the molecular mechanisms of Korea red ginseng's efficacy in ameliorating halitosis. When the RAW 264.7 cells were treated with the $H_2S$ releasing compound NaHS, the mRNA expression of cystathionine ${\gamma}$-lyase (CSE), IL-6, COX-2, and iNOS were more significantly induced compared with the vehicle-treated group. The cytoskeletal components of ezrin's and moesin's mRNA expressions were elevated by NaHS treatment accompanied by the activation of MAPK, p38, and ERK. Korea red ginseng pretreatment reduced both the NaHS-induced CSE expression and the proinflammatory genes (e.g., IL-6, COX-2, and iNOS) in a concentration-dependent manner. The ERM expression and the phosphorylation of p38 were also significantly reduced by Korea-red-ginseng pretreatment. Overall, Korea red ginseng pretreatment imposed significant anti-inflammatory effects through the downregulation of the NaHS-triggered proinflammatory gene expression, CSE, and ERM mRNA expression. Korea red ginseng could thus be said to be a key remedy of halitosis and to be effective in relieving gastric inflammation.

  • This paper presents optimized structured treatment interruption to reduce medication and establish long-term immune response against HIV-infection. Understanding HIV-related immune system control enables better HIV therapy without using full­treatments. Discrete regimen and continuous regimen characteristics are compared. Controllability of HIV-related immune system is analyzed for better understanding of optimal control in HIV therapy. Using optimal control provides more effective therapy than the full treatment without interruption in terms of controllability analysis. Case studies indicates that the proposed therapy induces long-erm non-progression while preserving high CD4 T-helper cell count and low virus load in HIV-infected patients.

  • Organizations can experience serious financial and/or reputational losses if business activities are disrupted by an incident of information systems under the current business environment. The loss includes the intangible decline in brand image, customer separation, and the tangible loss such as decrease in business profits. Thus, it is necessary to take proactive initiatives by managing many kinds of risks an organization may have. Therefore, the enterprise risk management has been received a special attention by some advanced private companies, but not many public organizations. This paper describes an approach and some issues when the enterprise risk management was introduced in a domestic public organization.

  • DaF-Lehrende in Korea erfahren oft, dass koreanische DaF-Lernende $\"{u}ber$ ein gutes Regelwissen im Deutschen $verf\"{u}gen$, aber oft nur weinh verstehen und sprechen $k\"{o}nnen$. Das bedeutet, dass das Auswendiglernen von grammatischen Regeln und ihr tatsachliches Anwenden zweierlei sind. Wenn Grammatikkompetenz mit der fremdsprachlichen Kompetenz nicht gieichzusetzen ist, stellt sich die Frage, wie den Lemern durch die Grammatik ein $selbst\"{a}ndiges$ Erlernen von erammatischen Eigenschaften bis hin zur freien Anwendung des Gelernten in den Kommunikationssituationen $erm\"{o}glicht$ werden kann. $F\"{u}r$ die Antwort auf die Frage werden im vorliegenden Artikel Lornergrarnmatik und ihre didaktischen Prinzipien vorgestelit.   • 기업의 경영활동이 글로벌화되면서 이를 둘러싸고 있는 경영환경도 급변하게 되었다. 이로 인하여 기업이 처한 위험(Risk)의 유형도 더욱 다양해지고, 그 빈도 또한 증가하게 되었다. 특히 인터넷 환경하의 보다 진보된 정보시스템은 기업의 경영 효율성을 증가시키는 반면에 위험(Risk)의 발생 정도와 그 파급 효과를 더욱 더 증가시키고 있다. 위험(Risk)을 인식하고 이를 분석하고 평가하여 관리하는 능력이 뛰어난 기업은 위험(Risk)에 따른 피해의 확산을 조기에 차단하고 오히려 이를 기회로 이용할 수도 있다. 위험관리(Risk Management)는 주로 재무관리 또는 보험관리 분야에서 다루어왔다. 즉, 일반적으로 자금의 조달이나 투자업무에 있어서 불확실성을 제거하고 분산 투자를 실행하고 미래의 불확실한 상황에 대비하여 보험을 준비하는 등의 내용들이 기존 연구에서의 위험관리(Risk management)와 관련된 것이었다. 본 연구에서는 위험관리를 정보시스템 분야에 적용하여 정보시스템의 위험관리에 관한 인식을 고취하고, 나아가 보다 체계적인 Global SCM 의 구축하여 글로벌 경쟁환경하에서 기업의 경쟁우위를 제고하고자 한다. 특히 기업위험관리(Enterprise Risk Management)관점에서 Global SCM 의 위험관리체계의 프레임웍(Framework)을 제시하여 지금까지 정립되지 않았던 SCM 의 Risk Management 에 대한 연구의 기초를 마련하려고 한다.

The Prevalence of Macrolide Antibiotics Resistance in the Clinical Isolates of Common Respiratory Pathogens (임상분리 호흡기 감염증 원인 균주에서의 Macrolide계 항생물질의 내성)

  • The prevalence of resistance to a range of macrolides was determined for clinical isolates of common respiratory pathogens using NCCLS testing methods and interpretative criter ia.71.4% of Streptococcus pneumoniae, 62.3% of Staphylococcus aureus, 50.8% of coagulase-negative staphylococci and 4.4% of Strpetococcus pyogenes were erythromycin resistant. Also, the rates of resistance to other macrolides and clindamycin in these clinical isolates were as high as to eryth -romycin. Almost all of the macrolide-resistant isolates were positive for erm of the methylase gene, or mef of the efflux gene.
