There are two kinds of method to calculate the equivalent friction coefficients at V groove. One is to consider the firction in radial direction. The other is to neglect the friection in radial direction. The values calculated from the two methods is different of which ratio is in the range from two times to five times. So it is necessary to study which is correct in the view of force equilibrium and machine design.

A new frequency-variant equivalent circuit model of power/ground plane is presented. The equivalent circuit is modeled with grid cells. The circuit parameters of each cell were extracted by using Fasthenry. To verify the developed circuit model, its s-parameters are compared with the measured s-parameters 〔2〕 and the full-wave simulation-based s-parameters. Consequently, it is shown that our frequency-variant equivalent circuit model can accurately predict imperfect ground effects under the high frequency operation of electronic package.

This paper presents a mettled to reduce the number of conductors of catenary system for estimating line constants. Conductors of a catenary system are grouped and reduced. For example, the model representing the contact and the messenger conductors with a single equivalent conductor is. probably more realistic than assuming the two conductors completely separated, since they are generally connected by droppers every few meters. Therefore, this paper shows the method to reduce the number of conductors using electric circuit theory. To verify the results, we compared the equivalent line constants obtained by proposed method with those obtained by measurement.

This experimental were carried out in order to investigate the equivalent strength of SFRC (Steel Fiber Reinforced Concrete). Tow hundred and tenh SFRC beeam (size: 150x150x550) were used in the tests the relationships between loading and mid-point deflections of the beams were observed four oint bending loading. From the test results, prediction formulas for the equivalent strength of SFRC beams are suggested.

In this paper, seven equivalent conditions of complete moment convergence and complete integral convergence for negatively orthant dependent (NOD, in short) sequences are shown under two cases: identical distribution and stochastic domination. The results obtained in the paper improve and generalize the corresponding ones of Liang et al. [10]). In addition, an extension of the Baum-Katz complete convergence theorem: six equivalent conditions of complete convergence is established.

A proper equivalent circuit model for coupling iris has been derived in order to compensate the length of cavity in a $TE_{011}$TEX> mode cylindrical cavity filter. A method to resolve the difference in bandwidth and feature or ripple systematically has been proposed. This method can be applied to other types of waveguide cavity filter.

The variable-node solid element with rotational degrees of freedom has been developed far efficient connection of transition zones and far connection of different types of elements with rotational degrees of freedom. In applying this new element to engineering problems, it is necessary to fine the relations between tractions and equivalent nodal farces. In this case, the equivalent forces in solid element with rotational degrees of freedom and ratational forces are a bit different from that af conventional solid elements. Some typical examples are presented.

Equivalent thermal conductivities and elasticity properties of woven fabric composites are computed using homogenization technique. The computational results show that the strength and thermal conductivity linearly increase with fiber volume fraction and that the variations of undulation of fibers has little effect on equivalent material properties. Homogenization technique is proved useful in the study of woven fabric composites and may find a lot more applications in the area.

The LTCC bandpass filter using multilayer resonators is made of combline type and interdigital type parallel coupled-lines. The equivalent circuits of parallel coupled-lines are analysed. They are applied to make an equivalent circuit of LTCC bandpass filter using multilayer resonators. The 3-pole bandpass filter of the center frequency of 2.45GHz with 200Hz bandwidth is designed and fabricated. The simulated result of the bandpass filter are presented.

The load characteristics on the voltage gain and efficiency were analyzed using a lumped constant equivalent circuit of the piezoelectric transformer. These analytical results were confirmed by experiments. Theoretical values of voltage gain were nearly constant with experimental ones. However, It was shown that theoretical values of efficiency is higher than experimental ones.
