  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the experience-based ecology-environmental STEAM education on ecological sensitivity of elementary students. The research subjects were 62 third graders of S elementary school located in Incheon. They were divided into the experimental group of 33 students and the comparative group of 29 students. The experimental group was provided the educational program with the experience-based ecology-environmental STEAM education. The comparative group was provided the theoretical and ecological self activity program based on the textbook. The results of this study can be summarized as follows; First, the experience-based ecology-environmental STEAM education had a meaningful effect on improvement of ecological sensitivity. Second, we found that access to the ecological environment education is important in all subjects, not in education that is biased toward. Third, in ecological environment education, experience-oriented education methods are more meaningful than indirect experiences trapped in textbooks. Fourth, ecological environment education can contribute to the improvement of ecological sensitivity as well as the intellectual aspect of ecology and environmental science. In conclusion, it was found that the ecological environment program should be conducted with activities of experience.

  • The goal of this study was to investigate the distribution chart of management and satisfaction through Hanwoo education program and to provide fundamental data and development conformity available on the management and educational program to managers. In this study, we chose 75 managers taking part in Hanwoo education program as pre-test and applied satisfaction for education program to 33 managers randomly selected as post-test. The results of this study are as follows: First, age and academic career had a significant (P<0.05) effect on breeding size, breeding career, sales, and management methods. This may be due to the fact that managers in Hanwoo industry tended to raise academic standards and the age group moved towards young age rather than middle and old ages. However, an academic career was unaffected by sale and management methods. Second, managers who randomly selected the education program showed higher satisfaction about the program and lower or usual interest and intention in the educational environment, incidental facilities, and reviews. In conclusion, to equip the constituent parts of education program with entire propriety and an effective running system, information on breeding size and breeding career for managers in Hanwoo Industry with respect to age and academic career had to be clearly premeditated. It also needed the educational program to look at it from the standpoint of the managers.

  • This purpose of this study was to investigate the influences of environmental education through ecological art education focused on music drama, on the environmental sensitivity of 5th graders in an elementary school in Seoul. A reconstructed questionnaire through Kim(2008)'s test tool was used to the effects of applying an ecological art educational program. The SPSS program was used to analyze the results. The major results of this study are as follows. First, the researcher was able to develop and apply a professor-learning model for the environmental education using the ecological art education focused on music drama by extracting and recreating environment related contents from the 5th grader curriculum. Second, this program had a positive effect on elementary students' environmental sensitivity. Third, according to qualitative results, students appear to be more concerned and interested in the environment and environmental problems in their daily lives. In conclusion, the ecological art program focused on music drama has a positive effect on increasing the environmental sensitivity of 5th graders. Therefore, more intensive research should be conducted, linking teaching and learning methods, as a follow-up activity.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify a causal relationship among green consumer behavior, environmental knowledge and environmental attitudes of students at the university of education. A total of 366 copies of questionnaires were used for the data analysis; 31 copies were excluded due to lack of response to any given question. To ensure the reliability and validity of the questions, technical statistics were performed, such as frequency, ratio, average, standard deviation, skewness, and kurtosis via SPSS 15.0, item-total correlation and the totality, and reliability analysis. A structural analysis was undertaken via AMOS 7.0 in a bootstrapping method in order to perform a path analysis among variables as well as to assess the suitability of the model. The findings of the study were led to the following conclusions: First, the causal model among green consumer behavior, environmental knowledge and environmental attitudes of students at the university of education is suitable to the empirical analysis on research variables. Second, the environmental attitudes of students at the university of education has a direct, positive effect on green consumer behavior. Third, the environmental knowledge of students at the university of education has an indirect, positive effect on green consumer behavior.

  • This study is for rationalizing the collecting system of recycling waste materials in elementary, middle and high school in Incheon. The student participating in collecting system is so much helpful in env. educational aspect, So the students need to be took part in the system. The result on investigating actual condition of the student's participating of schools in Inchon City is not sufficient to be helpful to env. educational effect. 1st. The names of recycling waste can are so various that the students can's understand which can in for Recycling. 2nd. Collecting system is also very different according to schools. 3th. The incentives for student's participating in collecting process are also not sufficient. The conclusion is that the school should provide the students incentives for taking parts in the collecting process, in that actualizing the recycling process is helpful to env. education, and the another one in that we should remove the recycling ideology, which is the some belief, the more production is no problems, if recycling is activated socially. But this idea is evident error. In this aspect the concept of recycling should be changed from re-using to re-turning to nature.

  • Currently, climate change is regarded as one of the most important environmental issues in the 21st century. However, climate change education is not seriously carried out in schools. This study is concerned about enhancing students' recognition about climate change and actions responding to climate change through an history discipline. More specifically, this study tried to identify the effect of history lessons on environmental education, especially focused on climate change, by performing an experiment. The experiment was designed based on Solomon four-group design and carried out in one high school in Gwangmyeong city. Findings of the experiment are as follows. First, students who had taken the reorganized history lesson based on climate change - that is, students with experimental treatments - gained higher understanding of climate change than before and students of control groups. Second, students with experimental treatments gained higher understanding about relationship between history and climate change. Third, students with experimental treatments showed higher possibility of taking responding actions to climate change. In conclusion, history lessons reorganized with environmental issues, for instance climate change, have big potential for environmental education since they contribute to enhancing environmental recognition and prompting responding actions through exploration the effects of existing historical facts. Interdisciplinary approach like that taken in this study will provide students with more comprehensive and extended prism for the environment.

For this, environmental education programs about global warming for elementary students are developed and applied 15 times by reconstituting classes based on the contents regarding global warming from the text books revised as of 7th course of study. The result is as below. First, some part of contents from social study and science of 6th grade elementary curriculum of 7th course of study was able to be reconstituted to 15 education programs. Secondly, the programs about global warming improved students' environmental attitude Application of the programs about global warming showed significant difference(p<.05) on building environmental attitude as it proved those are effective on both area of recognition level and practice level. The method used on the test had .866's Cronbach alpha modulus value therefore, it obtained reliability. Thirdly, the programs regarding global warming improved students' knowledge accomplishment. As a result of test for knowledge accomplishment which was executed with same method for attitude test, the application of the programs about global warming showed significant difference(p<.05) on improving students' knowledge accomplishment on the global warming therefore, it resulted that the application of the program is effective on knowledge acquirement.

For this study, a total of 1,855 elementary school children were selected and then classified by sex and grade. The survey had been carried out to examine the following five items: necessity and advantages of the garden, plants suitable for it, artificial facilities required for it, its space structure, programs necessary for educational activities, and operation programs. The results are as follows: 1. Necessity and advantages of the children's garden: Some 87.7% of respondents said the garden is needed, it would serve for environmental preservation, it would function as a resting place, and it would have educational effect; 2. Plants suitable for it: Uncommon plants which have flowers of several colors; 3. Artificial facilities required for it: Places for experience and rest; 4. Programs necessary for educational activities: maze experiencing and gardening; and 5. Operation programs: Some 86.3% of the respondents said they are needed. They thought educational programs providing the activities of experiencing would be preferable. This study provides basic materials for the planning and designing of the children's garden.
