  • In this paper, we propose a modified Halpern's iterative scheme developed from a sequence of a new class of enriched nonspreading mappings and an enriched nonexpansive mapping in the setup of a real Hilbert space. Moreover, we prove strong convergence theorem of the proposed method under mild conditions on the control parameters. Also, we obtain some basic properties of our new class of enriched nonspreading mappings.

보일의 법칙에 대한 개념 학습에서 비유의 부연 수준이 학생들의 대응 관계 이해 및 개념 이해에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of the Level of Enrichment for Analogies upon Students' Mapping and Conceptual Understanding in Concept Learning about Boyle's Law)

  • 이 연구에서는 보일의 법칙에 대한 개념 학습에서 비유의 부연 수준이 학생들의 대응 관계 이해 및 개념 이해에 미치는 영향과 학생들이 범하는 대응 오류 유형을 조사하였다. 본 수업 이전에 비유 추론 능력 검사를 실시하여, 그 점수를 구획 변인으로 사용하였다. 중학교 1학년 학생들에게 비유의 부연 수준에 따른 단순, 부연, 확장의 세 가지 유형의 비유 학습 활동지를 무선 배포하여 학습하도록 한 직후에, 대응 관계 이해도와 개념 이해도 검사를 실시하였다. 또한, 두 검사에 대한 파지 검사를 4주 후에 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 대응 관계 이해도의 직후 검사에서는 비유의 부연 수준에 따른 주효과는 없었지만, 비유 추론 능력과의 상호작용 효과가 있었다. 개념 이해도 파지 검사에서는 부연 집단의 점수가 단순 집단보다 높게 나타났으나, 세 집단 간 점수 차이는 통계적으로 유의미하지 않았다. 전체 대응 오류의 빈도는 단순 집단이 가장 높았고, 대응 오류 유형별 빈도에서도 대부분 단순 집단의 빈도가 부연 집단과 확장 집단의 빈도보다 높았다. 또한, 대응 오류 유형별 빈도는 학생들의 비유 추론 능력 수준에 따라 차이가 있었다. 따라서 이 연구 결과는 과학교사들이 체계적인 비유 사용 수업을 계획하고 실천하는데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것이다.

ON M-ITERATIVE SCHEME FOR MAPPINGS WITH ENRICHED (C) CONDITION IN BANACH SPACES

  • In this paper, we approximate fixed points of mappings satisfying enriched (C) condition under a modified three-step M-iterative scheme in a Banach space setting. First, we establish a weak convergence theorem and then obtain several strong convergence theorems for our iterative scheme under some mild conditions. A numerical example of mappings satisfying enriched (C) condition is used that does not satisfy the ordinary (C) condition to support our main outcome. Numerical computations and graphs obtained from different iterative schemes show that the studied scheme provides a better rate of convergence as compared to some other schemes of the literature. As an application of our main result, we provide a projection type iterative scheme for solving split feasibility problems (SFP) on a Hilbert space setting.

포화 용액 개념에 대해 초등 과학 영재와 일반 학생들이 만든 비유의 특성과 대응 관계 이해도 및 대응 오류 (Characteristics of Student-Generated Analogies, Mapping Understanding, and Mapping Errors on Saturated Solution of Scientifically-Gifted and General Elementary Students)

  • In this study, we investigated the characteristics of the analogies, the mapping understanding, and the mapping errors on saturated solution of scientifically-gifted and general elementary students. Fifth graders (n=60) at four scientifically-gifted education institutes in Seoul and/or Gyeonggi province and fifth graders (n=91) at three elementary schools in Seoul were selected and assigned to the scientifically-gifted group and the general group respectively. After the students of each group performed the experiment and were taught about the target concept in the first class, they administered the test on the self-generating analogies on the target concept in the second class. The results revealed that the students in the scientifically-gifted group made more analogies, especially verbal/pictorial, structural/functional, enriched, and higher systematic ones, and had deeper understanding of the analogy than those in the general group. The numbers of the shared attributes included in the student-generated analogies and the scores of the mapping understanding of the students in the scientifically-gifted group were significantly higher than those in the general group. The students in the scientifically-gifted group had fewer mapping errors than those in the general group. However, not a few students in the scientifically-gifted group had at least one mapping error. Educational implications of these findings are discussed.

초등학생의 학습접근양식에 따른 비유 만들기 특성, 대응 관계 이해도, 대응 오류, 비유 만들기에 대한 인식 (Characteristics, Mapping Understanding, Mapping Errors, and Perceptions of Student-Generated Analogies by Elementary School Students' Approaches to Learning)

  • 이 연구에서는 알갱이의 크기에 따른 혼합물의 분리 원리에 대해 초등학생들이 만든 비유의 특성, 대응관계 이해도, 대응 오류, 비유 만들기에 대한 인식을 학습접근양식에 따라 조사했다. 초등학교 4학년 92명을 선정하여 학습접근양식 검사, 비유 만들기 검사, 비유 만들기에 대한 인식 검사를 실시했다. 연구 결과, 기계적 학습접근양식을 지닌 학생들보다 유의미학습접근양식을 지닌 학생들이 더 많은 수의 비유를 만드는 것으로 나타났다. 만든 비유 유형의 경우, 기계적 학습접근양식보다 유의미 학습접근양식을 지닌 학생들이 구조적/기능적 비유, 부연 비유, 고체계성 비유를 더 많이 만드는 경향이 있었으나 표현 방식(글, 그림, 글/그림)과 상황의 작위성(작위적, 일상적), 추상도(추상적, 구체적) 항목에서는 학습접근양식에따른 차이가 거의 없었다. 기계적 학습접근양식보다 유의미 학습접근양식을 지닌 학생들이 비유에 대한 이해도가 더 높았고, 비유물에 포함된 공유 속성의 수와 대응 관계 이해도 점수도 유의미하게 높았으며, 대응 오류를 범하는 경우도 더 적었다. 학습접근양식에 관계없이 많은 학생들이 비유 만들기 활동에 대해 다양한 인지적 동기적 측면에서 긍정적으로 인식하는 것으로 나타났다. 반면, 비유 만들기 활동에서의 다양한 어려움 등과 같은 단점을 지적하기도 했다. 이에 대한 교육적 함의를 논했다.

이종 개념체계의 상호보완방안 연구 - 세종의미부류와 KorLexNoun 1.5 의 사상을 중심으로 (Cross-Enrichment of the Heterogenous Ontologies Through Mapping Their Conceptual Structures: the Case of Sejong Semantic Classes and KorLexNoun 1.5)

  • The primary goal of this paper is to propose methods of enriching two heterogeneous ontologies: Sejong Semantic Classes (SJSC) and KorLexNoun 1.5 (KLN). In order to achieve this goal, this study introduces the pros and cons of two ontologies, and analyzes the error patterns found during the fine-grained manual mapping processes between them. Error patterns can be classified into four types: (1) structural defectives involved in node branching, (2) errors in assigning the semantic classes, (3) deficiency in providing linguistic information, and (4) lack of the lexical units representing specific concepts. According to these error patterns, we propose different solutions in order to correct the node branching defectives and the semantic class assignment, to complement the deficiency of linguistic information, and to increase the number of lexical units suitably allotted to their corresponding concepts. Using the results of this study, we can obtain more enriched ontologies by correcting the defects and errors in each ontology, which will lead to the enhancement of practicality for syntactic and semantic analysis.

Development of Polymorphic Microsatellite Markers Suitable for Genetic Linkage Mapping of Olive Flounder Paralichthys olivaceus

  • Microsatellite markers are important for gene mapping and for marker-assisted selection. Sixty-five polymorphic microsatellite markers were developed with an enriched partial genomic library from olive flounder Paralichthys olivaceus an important commercial fish species in Korea. The variability of these markers was tested in 30 individuals collected from the East Sea (Korea). The number of alleles for each locus ranged from 2 to 33 (mean, 17.1). Observed and expected heterozygosity as well as polymorphism information content varied from 0.313 to 1.000 (mean, 0.788), from 0.323 to 0.977 (mean, 0.820), and from 0.277 to 0.960 (mean, 0.787), respectively. Nine loci showed significant deviation from the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium after sequential Bonferroni correction. Analysis with MICROCHECKER suggested the presence of null alleles at five of these loci with estimated null allele frequencies of 0.126-0.285. These new microsatellite markers from genomic libraries will be useful for constructing a P. olivaceus linkage map.

Development and Characterization of Novel Rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) Mutant Lines through Mutation Breeding

  • Rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) is one of the most valuable oilseed crop in the world. It is widely used in various industries, such as food, animal feed, energy and chemical industries. In order to improve the industrial requirements for rapeseed, useful agronomic characteristics (higher yields and disease resistance etc.) and modified oil traits (fatty acid composition and fat content) are important in rapeseed. However, Korea has limiting genetic resources of novel traits in rapeseed. In this research, novel rapeseed mutant genotypes by mutation breeding was developed. The mutant lines were generated by the treatment of the seeds of the original cultivar 'Tamra' with 700 Gy of gamma-ray (60Co). Mutants showing varied in flowering time, crude fat content, seed yield and fatty acid content that exhibited stable inheritance of the mutated characteristics from M5 to M7 generations were selected. We investigated genetic variation using SNPs identified from GBS analysis in rapeseed mutant lines derived from the gamma-ray, and interactions between the major agronomic and the oil traits. Significantly associated SNP loci were explored along with candidate genes using SNPs obtained by GBS analysis. As a results of association mapping, a total of 322 SNPs were significantly associated with agronomic traits (155 SNPs) and oil traits (167 SNPs). A total of 70 genes were annotated from agronomic characteristics SNPs; among them 7 genes significantly enriched in developmental process, and a total of 70 genes were annotated from crude fat content and fatty acid compositions SNPs; among them, 11genes were significantly enriched in biosynthetic process. These results could be used for the selection of rapeseed cultivar with enhanced qualities and potential economic benefits.

초등 과학영재교육에서 포화용액 개념에 대한 소집단 비유 만들기의 효과 (The Effects of Analogy-Generating in Small Group on Saturated Solution in Elementary Science-Gifted Education)

  • 이 연구에서는 초등 과학영재교육에서 소집단 비유 만들기의 효과를 학생들이 만든 비유의 유형과 대응 오류, 소집단 비유 만들기에 대한 인식 측면에서 조사했다. 2개 초등학교의 2개 과학영재학급에 소속된 5학년 학생 37명을 선정하여 각각 개별 비유 만들기(IA) 집단(n=19)과 2인 1조의 소집단 비유 만들기(PA) 집단(n=18)으로 배치했다. 두 집단 학생들에게 첫 번째 시간에 포화용액 개념에 대한 실험과 개념 학습을 실시한 후, 두 번째 시간에 그 개념에 대한 비유 만들기 검사를 실시했다. 또한 PA 집단 학생들에게는 소집단 비유 만들기에 대한 인식 검사를 실시했으며, 일부 학생들을 대상으로 이에 대한 심층 면담도 실시했다. 연구 결과, IA 집단보다 PA 집단의 학생들이 글/그림 비유, 구조적/기능적 비유, 부연 비유, 고체계성 비유를 더 많이 만드는 경향이 있었으나, 상황의 작위성(작위적, 일상적)과 추상도(추상적, 구체적) 항목에서는 두 집단 간에 차이가 거의 없었다. IA 집단보다 PA 집단의 학생들이 대응 오류를 더 적게 범했다. PA 집단의 많은 학생들이 소집단 비유 만들기에 대해 다양한 인지적 동기적 측면에서 긍정적으로 인식했으나, 몇 가지 단점을 지적하기도 했다. 이에 대한 교육적 함의를 논했다.

Construction of a Bacterial Artificial Chromosome Library Containing Large BamHI Genomic Fragments from Medicago truncatula and Identification of Clones Linked to Hypernodulating Genes

  • In the model legume Medicago truncatula, two mutants, sickle and sunn, exhibit morphologically and genetically distinct hypernodulation phenotypes. However, efforts to isolate the single recessive and single semidominant genes for sickle and sunn, respectively, by map-based cloning have so far been unsuccessful, partly due to the absence of clones that enable walks from linked marker positions. To help resolve these difficulties, a new bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) library was constructed using BamHI-digested genomic fragments. A total of 23,808 clones were collected from ligation mixtures prepared with double-size-selected high-molecular-weight DNA. The average insert size was 116 kb based on an analysis of 88 randomly selected clones using NotI digestion and pulsed-field gel electrophoresis. About 18.5% of the library clones lacked inserts. The frequency of the BAC clones carrying chloroplast or mitochondrial DNA was 0.98% and 0.03%, respectively. The library represented approximately 4.9 haploid M. truncatula genomes. Hybridization of the BAC clone filters with a $C_{0}t-l$ DNA probe revealed that approximately 37% of the clones likely carried repetitive sequence-enriched DNA. An ordered array of pooled BAC DNA was screened by polymerase chain reactions using 13 sequence-characterized molecular markers that belonged to the eight linkage groups. Except for two markers, one to five positive BAC clones were obtained per marker. Accordingly, the sickle- and sunn-linked BAC clones identified herein will be useful for the isolation of these biotechnologically important genes. The new library will also provide clones that fill the gaps between preexisting BAC contigs, facilitating the physical mapping and genome sequencing of M. truncatula.
