태스크 그래프의 재구성에 의한 효율적 태스크 스케줄링에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Efficient Task Scheduling by the Reconstructed Task Graph)

  • 본 논문은 병렬 처리 시스템 환경에서 효율적인 태스크 스케줄링에 관한 연구로써 태스크 그래프의 재구성에 의해 전체 수행 시간을 단축시키는데 목적을 두고 있다. 태스크 스케줄링은 m개의 테스크를 n개의 프로세서에 할당하는 연구인데 이는 많은 문제점을 갖고 있다.[1, 4, 9] 일반적으로 이 문제를 해결하는 것은 NP-hard 문제로 알려져 있다. 이러한 문제를 해결하고자 본 논문에서는 주어진 태스크 그래프를 재구성하여 스케줄링 하는 방법을 제시하였다. 태스크 그래프와 시스템 그래프를 이용하여 효과적으로 수행이 될 수 있는 재구성 태스크 그래프(RTG)를 만들고 이를 스케줄링 함으로써 기존의 논문에서 준 최적의 결과를 얻기 위해 태스크 스케줄링후에 재할당 및 반복 수행의 과정이 사용하였는데 이를 없애면서 빠른 시간안에 스케줄링이 이루어지도록 하였고 스케줄링의 결과 또한 향상시켰다.

데이타 상관 증가에 의한 저전력 상위 수준 합성 (Low power high level synthesis by increasing data correlation)

  • With the increasing performance and density of VLSI scircuits as well as the popularity of portable devices such as personal digital assitance, power consumption has emerged as an important issue in the design of electronic systems. Low power design techniqeus have been pursued at all design levels. However, it is more effective to attempt to reduce power dissipation at higher levels of abstraction which allow wider view. In this paper, we propose a simultaneous scheduling and binding scheme which increases the correlation between cosecutive inputs to an operation so that the switched capacitance of execution units is reduced in datapath-dominated circuits. The proposed method is implemented and integrated into the scheduling and assignment part of HYPER synthesis environment. Compared with original HYPER synthesis system, average power saving of 23.0% in execution units and 14.2% in the whole circuits, ar eobtained for a set of benchmark examples.

  • One of the problems brought up in the effective execution of genetic algorithms is that if they come under any influences according as the population size is large or small. In the case of small population size the opportunities of premature convergence are increased when the greatly powerful or no good individual is generated during search of the solution space. And searching the solution space in the case of large population size, the difficulties under the execution cause to searching all for one by one individual in every generation applied is limited, this gives the many interruptions to the convergence of final solution. Now this paper gives a suggestion to set up the adaptive population size which could compute the more correct solution and simplify the development of computation performance.

Fine-Grain Real-Time Code Scheduling for VLIW Architecture

  • In safety critical hard real-time systems, a timing fault may yield catastrophic results. In order to eliminate the timing faults from the fast responsive real-time control systems, it is necessary to schedule a code based on high precision timing analysis. Further, the schedulability enhancement by having multiple processors is of wide spread interest. However, although an instruction level parallel processing is quite effective to improve the schedulability of such a system, none of the real-time applications employ instruction level parallel scheduling techniques because most of the real-time scheduling models have not been designed for fine-grain execution. In this paper, we present a timing constraint model specifying high precision timing constraints, and a practical approach for constructing static schedules for a VLIW execution model. The new model and analysis can guarantee timing accuracy to within a single machine clock cycle.

  • The performance of real-time systems depends upon how well the tasks are scheduled within a cycle time and how fastly the response is made according to the occurrence of an external event. This paper presents the design of an effective real-time data acquisition system in order to gather the data from an automobile engine. This paper investigates an estimation and a restriction method of execution for aperiodic data. Also, the guarantee problem of real-time constraint is presented for periodic data. Through the experiments, the hard real-time guarantee problem of periodic data is studied and the damage problem of periodic data according to the increase of aperiodic tasks is analyzed.

  • Manufacturing enterprises have been doing their best endeavors to obtain competitiveness using various methodologies, such as information technology. In order to achieve competitiveness, they are adopting manufacturing execution system (MES). MES is a total management system that manages from the beginning of the production by product order until the quality inspection of the finished product. And MES is an inter-mediator for supplementation of information gap between ERP and inspection machine and equipment. This paper describes on establishment of effective strategy based on BPR methodology and implementation of MES small and medium PCB manufacturing company with multiple-types of products and mixed process flows. And then we proposed evaluation model based on balanced score card (BSC) for considering non-finance elements as well as finance elements. With evaluation model, we analyzed benefits and effects of MES.

Controlling robot by image-based visual servoing with stereo cameras

  • In this paper, an image-based "approach-align -grasp" visual servo control design is proposed for the problem of object grasping, which is based on the binocular stand-alone system. The basic idea consists of considering a vision system as a specific sensor dedicated a task and included in a control servo loop, and we perform automatic grasping follows the classical approach of splitting the task into preparation and execution stages. During the execution stage, once the image-based control modeling is established, the control task can be performed automatically. The proposed visual servoing control scheme ensures the convergence of the image-features to desired trajectories by using the Jacobian matrix, which is proved by the Lyapunov stability theory. And we also stress the importance of projective invariant object/gripper alignment. The alignment between two solids in 3-D projective space can be represented with view-invariant, more precisely; it can be easily mapped into an image set-point without any knowledge about the camera parameters. The main feature of this method is that the accuracy associated with the task to be performed is not affected by discrepancies between the Euclidean setups at preparation and at task execution stages. Then according to the projective alignment, the set point can be computed. The robot gripper will move to the desired position with the image-based control law. In this paper we adopt a constant Jacobian online. Such method describe herein integrate vision system, robotics and automatic control to achieve its goal, it overcomes disadvantages of discrepancies between the different Euclidean setups and proposes control law in binocular-stand vision case. The experimental simulation shows that such image-based approach is effective in performing the precise alignment between the robot end-effector and the object.

  • 기업간 경쟁의 격화와 정보기술의 발달로 인하여 많은 기업들이 공급사슬관리(SCM)를 도입하고 있다. 이에 따라, 공급사슬상의 관련 기업간의 상호작용과 정보공유에 기반한 공급사슬 통합이 추진되고 있으며, 웹서비스 와 같은 시스템에 독립적인 기술 적용의 필요성이 제기되고 있다. 웹서비스를 이용하면서도 높은 수준의 공급사슬 통합이 이루어지기 위해서는, 여러 상호작용주체가 참여하는 글로벌 프로세스 수준에서 SCM 프로세스를 관리하고 제어할 필요가 있으며, 본 논문에서는 비즈니스 프로세스 자동화 및 관리도구로 최근 각광을 받고 있는 BPM을 도입하여 각 업무단위가 웹서비스로 구성된 환경에서 SCM을 구성하는 프로세스를 효과적으로 통합하여 실행하는 방안을 제시한다. 이러한 접근법은 SCM 프로세스의 진행과정을 보다 효율적으로 관리, 모니터링하는 것이 가능하며, SCM 프로세스의 수행결과를 토대로 프로세스의 개선에 대한 방안을 모색할 수 있다. 또한, SCM 프로세스의 진행과정에서 의사결정이 필요한 경우 이에 대한 지원 에이전트를 웹서비스로 구성하여 보다 신속한 프로세스 수행을 가능하게 한다.

A Study on the Concept Recognition Possibility of Ecorefugee

  • Since 1980s, 30 years has passed after issues on environmental refugee began to appear. However, why environmental refugee is not considered as refugee officially in international society? Above all, it seems that main point is the responsibility given to those developed countries if they, whom led the climate changes, officially acknowledge environmental refugee. The problem is that environmental refugee has no direct responsibility for causing climate changes. Actually. the responsibility should be granted to the developed and industrialized countries which caused climate changes. In accordance to the refugee protection system established under current international law, it is difficult to include them into refugee category and thus, they can hardly have enough support. It is urgently needed that new refugee treat which have the new standard and solution added to it shall be adopted. To allow new refugee treat to be effective it is compulsory to have constant and binding policy determination and willingness of execution from a united international organization. Of course, before this, countries should try to have common recognition on recognizing new refugee problem and its seriousness as well as solving those problems together. In reality, it is worth considering adoption of semi-forceable type of system as a more effective way, which allocates responsibility of accepting refugee by amount of carbon emitted. Also, as refugee issue has an important influence on mother company and the third countries, execution process of the system has to be defined clearly. For those permanent organizations, they should accurately define environmental factors making refugee and set standards to minimize possibility of abuse and misuse.

  • 검사점 기법은 시스템이 장애를 내재한 경우에 효과적으로 프로세스가 장애 지점으로부터 다시 시작 할 수 있게 하는 결함 허용 방법이다. 특히, 페이지 단위 점진적 검사점 기법은 검사점 사이에서 변경된 페이지 데이터만을 저장함으로써 검사정 기록 오버헤드를 감소시킨다. 이 기법은 매 검사점 사이에서 변화하는 데이터의 크기가 가변적이므로 검사점 수행 시간도 매번 변하는 성질을 갖고 있다. 기존의 연구로 고정적인 검사점 수행 시간을 갖는 경우에 대한 효율적인 검사점 작성 시점 결정 방법이 제시된 바 있다. 그러나 매 검사점 마다 가변적인 시간을 필요로 하는 페이지 단위 점진적 검사점 기법에 대한 효율적인 작성 시점 결정 방법은 아직 연구되지 않은 분야이다. 본 논문에서는 효율적이고 적응성 있는 검사점 작성 시점 결정 방법을 제안하고, 이 방법에 기반을 둔 적응성 있는 페이지 단위 점진적 검사점 기법을 보인다. 여러 가지 용용 프로그램의 실험 결과를 통하여, 제안한 방법을 사용하는 것이 기존의 고정적인 인터벌을 갖는 페이지 단위 점진적 검사점을 사용하는 경우보다 프로세스의 평균 수행 시간을 현저히 줄임을 알 수 있다.
