Three hundred seventy-six high school students in Seoul participated in this investigation. The SPSS ver. 19.0 program was adopted for the descriptive analysis, factor analysis, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, and multiple regression analysis. The results of the present study can be summarized as follows: first, the levels of time management behavior, satisfaction with educational consumption at school, and satisfaction with school life were relatively high. Second, an analysis of the relative influence on satisfaction with educational consumption revealed that the students' time management behavior was the most influential factor, followed by academic achievement. As the levels of time management behavior and academic achievement were high, the level of satisfaction with educational consumption was high. Finally, an analysis of the relative influence of satisfaction with school life also revealed that the students' time management behavior was the most influential factor, followed by academic achievement. Based on the findings, that is, the effects of high school students' time management behavior and other involved variables on their satisfaction with educational consumption and school life, a future study can present specific ways to enhance the level of satisfaction with educational consumption and school life.

  • In this study, we investigated the effectiveness of e-Learning, and attempted to identify factors affecting educational results. Based on survey data from 712 distance learning participants, we selected and verified factors affecting educational results through a correlation analysis and confidential test. Participants' scores were standardized and considered as a dependent variable representing educational effectiveness. Through several tests using the program AMOS, we suggest the most appropriate structural equation that can verify the causal relation of factors affecting the effectiveness of e-Learning. In result, the most important factor affecting score which is our measurement for educational effectiveness is job-possession. The fidelity has slightly direct influence to the score and the satisfaction has least indirect influence to the score.

Results: The average times for watching television and using the internet in the children were 11.44 hours and 5.89 hours per week, respectively. Children's time watching television was influenced by parents' time watching television, children's gender (girl), and parents' educational needs. Children's television dependency was influenced by parents' educational needs, parents' time watching television, and parents' age (under 36 years). Time using the internet and internet dependency in the children were influenced by parents' educational needs, family monthly income (under 3 million won), and parents' guidance for children on watching television. Conclusion: The findings indicate that elementary school children's media use is influenced by parental media use, parents' educational needs, and parents' media guidance for children. Therefore parental factors should be considered in developing approaches to provide education programs to prevent media overuse in children.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of educational context variables on achievement and interest in mathematics in high and low achieving students in Korea. Students participated in TIMSS 2015 in Korea were divided into two groups according to their achievement in mathematics. And the effects of educational context variables on achievement and interest in mathematics were analyzed in each group using the Hierarchical Linear Model(HLM). Main findings of this study are as follows. First, variables which influence achievement also influence interest but any variables which influence interest don't influence achievement in upper-group students. Number of Books and Students' Perceived Mathematics Lessons have strong influence on achievement and interest in both fourth and eighth grade students. Second, variables which influence achievement or interest in mathematics in lower-group also influence achievement or interest in mathematics in upper-group students. But any variables which influence achievement or interest in upper-group students don't influence achievement or interest in lower-group students. For examples, Parents' Education, Students' Perceived Mathematics Lessons have effects on upper-group students' achievement. Number of Books, Home Learning Environment, and Numeracy Activities Before School have significant effects on the achievement of fourth grade students. Students' Perceived Mathematics Lessons is the variable that influence on the interest of both fourth grade and eighth grade students. This study suggests the ways to improve mathematics teaching and learning based on these results.
