교육 격차 해소를 위한 민간단체의 교육지원 활동: 미국의 Teach For America와 한국의 Dream Touch For All을 중심으로 (Educational Support Activities of Private Organizations to Alleviate the Educational Gap: Focusing on Teach For America in USA and Dream Touch For All in Korea)

  • 본 논문은 동일한 목표를 가지고 설립된 미국의 'TFA'와 한국의 '드림터치포올' 두 단체를 1) 목표 및 핵심 가치, 2) 교사 지원 자격 및 양성 과정, 3) 교육적 성과의 측면에서 비교하고 그 두 단체가 다르게 운영될 수밖에 없는 각국의 교사양성 체제의 성격까지 살펴보는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 분석 결과, 두 단체는 교육 불평등 해소라는 목표 하에 교육 소외계층의 학업 성취 향상을 위해 교사의 역할에 주목하였다는 공통점을 보인다. 그러나, 이를 위해 미국의 TFA가 공교육 내에서 기능할 수 있었던 반면, 한국의 드림터치포올은 공교육의 보완재로서의 역할을 수행하고 있다. 미국의 경우 TFA와 같은 대안 교사 단체에서의 교원 양성을 허용하는 '준개방적' 교원 양성 체제로 변화한 반면, 한국에서는 이러한 대안 교사 단체가 허용되지 않는 '폐쇄적' 교원 양성 체제이기 때문이다. 이러한 이유로 두 단체는 핵심 가치, 교사 양성 및 운영 프로그램 등에서 차이를 보였고 그 결과 지향하는 교육 모델 또한 다르게 설정하고 있음을 알수 있다. 연구 결과를 바탕으로 결론 및 논의 부분에서는 두 단체의 활동을 통해 결국 한국 교육에서 가장 중요한 본질적인 문제는 교사라는 근본적인 문제를 제기하였다.

한국 청소년의 학습동기에 영향을 미치는 사회문화적 요인 탐색 (Exploration of Socio-Cultural Factors Affecting Korean Adolescents' Motivation)

  • 학업성취와 관련된 청소년의 인지, 정서 및 행동 유형을 설명하는 대표적 학습동기 구인에는 자기효능감, 성취목표, 과제가치, 귀인 등이 있다. 이들 구인은 학습자의 연령, 성별, 소속국가 및 인종의 차이를 뛰어넘는 설명력과 예측력을 보임으로써 그 중요도와 일반성을 입증받고 있다. 한국 청소년의 학습동기 역시 이러한 일반적 양상과 큰 맥을 같이 한다. 그러나 이와 더불어 한국 고유의 사회, 문화, 심리적 환경에 의해 형성된 것으로 보이는 그들만의 독특한 학습동기 유형이 나타나기도 한다. 본 논문에서는 한국 청소년의 학습동기에 특히 큰 영향을 미치는 것으로 판단되는 사회문화적 요인에는 어떤 것들이 있는지를 선행연구를 중심으로 고찰하였다. 그 결과, 문화적 요인으로는 상호의존적 자아이해, 효의 전통윤리 및 가족주의, 그리고 배움에 대한 가치가 중요한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 사회적 요인으로는 교육열과 학력주의, 그리고 제도적 요인으로는 대학입시제도의 역할에 대해 논의하였다. 나아가 이들 사회문화적 요인에 의해 형성되며, 학생들의 학습동기에 보다 직접적인 영향을 행사하는 것으로 판단되는 심리적 학습환경 요인으로서 부모-자녀 관계, 교사-학생 관계 및 교실목표구조에 관한 선행연구 결과를 주요 학습동기 구인과의 관계를 중심으로 분석하고 논의하였다.

고 3 수험생 어머니의 입시준비 경험에 대한 현상학적 연구 (A Phenomenological Study on the Mothers' Experiences with Children Preparing a College Entrance Examination)

  • The study reported a phenomenological analysis of the interviews with 19 mothers who had a child preparing a college entrance examination. The research question was what mothers experienced in supporting their child in his/her study for the examination. Results indicated that 'the senior year in a highschool' was described as the most stressful period affecting all the family members. Mothers' experiences were portrayed from three perspectives: mothers, as family members, experiencing the attachment to her child but conflicts with her husband; mothers, as individuals, adjusting by trying to setting realistic academic goals for her child while supporting him/her physically, emotionally, and spiritually; and mothers, as critics to extrafamily systems, blaming the inconsistency of educational policies. 1bis study was conducted with a holistic view, and highlighted the importance of interactions between traditional ideology about the mother roles and socioeconomic contexts when interpreting mothers' supporting their child in study for a college entrance examination.

그림책 속에 나타난 '용기'의 유형과 유아교육적 가치 탐색 (The Type of 'Courage' Described in Picture Books and Early Childhood Educational Value Exploration)

  • The purpose of this research is to develop more effective and systematic courage-related education in the early childhood education field. Through the previous research and literature review, the concept of courage was redefined and the type of courage was derived. After choosing 25 pictures books which relate to courage, we analyzed using the type of courage and their features. The results were as follows. First, courage is an act of trying voluntarily and continuously according to established clear goals based on personal beliefs in order to overcome inner and external difficulties. Second, we divided the courage into five types - Physical Courage, Challenge Courage, Belief Courage, Social Courage, Creative Courage- and presented each characteristic. Finally, by analyzing 25 picture books on the theme of courage according to these types and characteristics, it was confirmed that these picture books can be an important basis for courage-related education and development of a courage scale.

세시풍속과 연계된 유아경제교육 프로그램 모형 개발 (Development of an Economic Education Program Model for Young Children Related to Korean Seasonal Customs)

  • This study developed a model economic education program for young children related to Korean seasonal customs. The model was developed via literature reviews and survey research concerning teachers’' recognition of ‘'early childhood economic education’', consultations with professionals in the field, and testing and modifying the program. The goals of the model program were: teaching children to understand basic economic concepts, helping children to develop an economic attitude that emphasizes interdependence, and acknowledging the importance of eco-friendly economic values. The model includes three educational areas and 21 content areas including understanding the concept of exchange, sharing and cooperation, and circulation with nature. This study also developed 37 early childhood economic education activities using the teaching and learning methods of experiencing nature, virtual experience, real life experience, and traditional games experience.

국민학교 학동을 대상으로 한 직접 및 간접 구강보건교육의 효과평가에 관한 조사연구 (A Study on Appraisal for School Oral Health Education)

  • The authors have examimed 349 primary school children with questionare in order to appraise the oral health educational levels, one month later after performing oral health education as direct education and indirect education with video film, and compared the data from 350 uneducated children. The obtained results were as followings ; 1. It was estimated that the direct and indirect oral health education for school children were effective for in creasing the knowledge levels of oral health. 2. It was revealed that such items of oral health education as preventive measure for caries, tooth brushing method, etiology of dental caries and etiology of malocclusion were more effective for increasing the knowledge levels, compared to uneducated group. 3. Tooth Brushing Method should be educated in practical, not only to school children but also school teachers. 4. It should be established the goals and items for oral health education in practical as national level.

A Introduction Class on the Tidal Power Generation for Elementary School Students by University Students

  • As 10th energy consumption country in the world, it is very important to educate the importance of the energy to the elementary school students. The purpose of this class is to let the pupils understand the mechanisms and performances of tidal power generation as a renewable energy application system. To satisfy the educational goals, a lecture material and a simple type of tidal power generator kit is developed. As the survey result after lecture and experiments which include assembly and test, 'Well understood' is marked as 90% among 58 elementary students, and moreover 70% among them feel to participate in higher level course. This project shows the possibility and effect of the renewable energy education course as a service engineering, which is managed and carried out by undergraduates for pupils under the professor's guide.

  • 연구는 수도권을 중심으로 한 4년제 대학의 교육목표와 그에 따른 입학실기시험의 유형을 분석하여 학교별 특성화의 방향을 살펴본 결과 다음과 같은 효과를 기대할 수 있으리라 생각된다. 첫째 수요자인 고교에서대학의 정확한 정보를 통한 입시준비를 할 수 있게 한다. 둘째 애니메이션에 적합한 표준 실기시험유형을 도출할 수 있다. 셋째 대학입시에 대한 객관성과 투명성 그리고 신뢰성을 줄 수 있다. 넷째 대학 스스로는 특성화를 강화하는 단초로 활용하며 예비자원인 수험생들에게는 차별화된 대학의 특성화 정보를 제공한다.

사내대학의 통합적 모델 수립에 관한 연구 : 사내대학 역할을 중심으로 (A Study on Building a Holistic Model of the Corporate University : Focused on Its Roles)

  • A corporate university (CU) is an educational institution established by an organization whose primary purpose is not education. Traditionally, a CU is considered a training facility to improve organizational performance. However, the proliferation of the CU has engendered its diverse purposes, roles, and forms. This study attempts to identify three types of the existing CUs: (a) a CU to improve organizational performance; (b) a CU to satisfy employees' learning needs; and (c) a CU to develop a competent national workforce. Also, this study suggests a holistic CU model including the three CU types. In order to transform a CU to a multifunctional CU embracing all three types of CU, organizations should (a) provide communication and collaboration channels, (b) present clear organizational goals, (c) establish organizational policies/systems to encourage learning in CUs, and (d) devise an effective approach to evaluate the impact of CUs. Organization' s critical roles in the development of CUs can assist CUs in becoming the core of knowledge management.
