본 연구의 목적은 TIMSS 2015 결과에서 상위 성취를 보인 5개국(대한민국, 싱가포르, 대만, 홍콩, 일본)에서 8학년 과학성취에 미치는 교육맥락변인의 영향을 비교 분석하고, 이를 통해 우리나라 과학교육 개선을 위한 시사점을 도출하는 것이다. 과학성취에 미치는 교육맥락변인의 영향력을 비교하기 위해 위계선형모형에 의한 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과에 따르면 우리나라는 학생수준 변인에서 가정의 학습자원, 과학학습에 대한 흥미, 과학에 대한 가치 인식, 학생의 교육기대 수준이 8학년 학생들의 과학성취도에 유의하게 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 학교수준 변인에서는 재학생의 경제적 배경, 학교의 학업적 성공 강조가 과학성취도에 유의하게 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 상위 5개국 결과를 비교하면 가정의 학습자원, 과학학습에 대한 흥미, 학생의 교육기대 수준이 모든 국가에서 과학성취도에 정적으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 학교변인에서 재학생의 경제적 배경은 일본을 제외한 모든 나라에서 정적으로 유의한 것으로 나타났으며, 학생 특성에 의한 수업 제한은 우리나라를 제외한 모든 나라에서 정적으로 유의한 것으로 나타났으며, 실험보조 인력은 일본과 대만에서 정적으로 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 토대로 우리나라 중학교 과학과 교수학습에 주는 시사점을 학생과 학교의 사회경제적 지위에 따른 교육격차를 완화, 역량교육을 위한 과학 수업혁신, 과학수업에서 탐구실험 활동 내실화 등의 측면에서 제안하였다.

Some of school mathematics contents that have deep mathematical meanings are regarded as obvious and their importance is frequently overlooked. We first reexamined the mathematical meaning of pi as a constant. Then we indicated the educational implications of Archimedes' calculation method of pi and finally underlined the availability of pi as a valuable research topic in school mathematics.

The purpose of this study was to investigate charter school principals' perception on the transformational leadership practices in New York State. The data generating sample consisted of 44 charter school principals. Descriptive statistics and multiple regression were employed to analyze the data. The results were as follows: first, the transformational leadership practices of charter school principals were in the moderate to high categories, and the greatest gap was on Inspiring a shared vision leadership practice. Second, there were no statistically significant relationships between the leadership practices and the demographic variables of: gender, age, ethnicity, and level of education of principals. However, a positive relationship was found between both the Modeling the way and Encouraging the heart leadership practices and the educational level of charter school principals. Third, there was a significant relationship between the Inspiring a shared vision leadership practice of charter school principals and prior experience as a school principal.

본 연구는 혜천대학 컴퓨터통신계열과 대전신일여자고등학교 정보처리과 간에 협약된 연계교육을 성공적으로 수행하기 위한 교육과정을 개발하기 위한 것으로, 문헌 조사와 설문 조사, 그리고 컴퓨터통신분야 전문가들의 토의를 통하여 수행하였다. 설문 조사의 결과는 2차원 격차분석을 통하여 분석하였으며, 분석 결과에 근거하여 실업계 고등학교와 전문대학의 컴퓨터통신관련 분야에서 연계교육을 수행하는 데 필요한 교육적 수요와 활용 방안을 도출 및 제시하였다.

This qualitative nursing research used a hermeneutic phenomenological approach to discovery of meaning of the nursing students' clinical experience in junior colleges. Data collecting was utilized by in- depth face-to-face interviews of 10 sophomores who were participating in their first clinical experience. The following themes of the experience emerged. 1) The first step of fear (fear, being embarrassed) 2) Rhythmical patterning of theory and practice(disappointment of nurses, recognition of the gap between the theory and practice, the conflict between medical doctors and nurses, trouble with the students from other colleges, confusion from nurses' educational and noneducational attitudes, burden of responsibility for nurses' jobs, and the tiresome nature of repeated practice) 3) Discovery of changing self, awareness of self-expansion (awareness of professional nurses' roles, formation of self-confidence, changing of one's state of mind) From this study essential theme of clinical experience of nursing student's was identified, and continuous efforts to establish better adaptation of nursing students to clinical practice are required.

The purpose of this study is to explore how pre-service elementary teachers perceive and use smart learning environments. For this purpose, 23 pre-service elementary teachers who took theory and practice in a science education course were asked to develop lesson materials using smart tools and make a self-report questionnaire. These data were categorized in an instructional, exploratory, and interactive approach, depending on how they guided students to access knowledge and information. As a result of the study, pre-service teachers perceived the smart tools as the exploratory and interactive learning tools to be used for students to actively search for and interact with data and knowledge. But in developing lesson materials, they usually used the smart tools for resource sharing and communication in the instructional manner. In conclusion, the gap between their perception of smart tools and lesson materials, and the educational implications will be discussed.

On the basis of the meaning and general process of geometric proof through transformation concept and understanding the geometric properties of linear transformation, this study showed that the centroid of geometrical figure and certain properties of a parabola and an ellipse in school mathematics can be explained as a conservative properties through linear transformation. From an educational perspective, this is a good example of showing the process of how several existing individual knowledge can be reorganized by a mathematical concept. Considering the fact that mathematical usefulness of linear transformation can be revealed through an invariable and conservation concept, further discussion is necessary on whether the linear transformation map included in the former curriculum have missed its point.

The purpose of this ethnography is to describe and analyze the wild-goose mother's everyday life, her family relationships, and her social networking. Thirteen mothers from New York, California, and Texas, U.S.A., were interviewed with an unstructured questionnaire. Their residency and everyday schedules are arranged around the children's educational conditions. They have experienced difficult relationships with Korean American immigrants, Korean students, other wild-goose mothers, and Americans. They have failed to develop their social capital effectively due to the language barrier and a cultural capital deficiency. As a kind of family strategy, this separation sometimes strengthens the spousal relationship, preventing divorce, but usually weakens the emotional ties and quality of communication between husband and wife. The acculturation gap between the mother and her children may cause the mother to become alienated and exacerbate the generational conflict.

The gap between universities, scientific centers and industrial-production units is one of higher education concerns. In academic entrepreneurship, the university work simultaneously in education, research and entrepreneurship. The universities play a key and important role in providing educational opportunities in economic development. This research aims to develop and expand science as well as help managers to explain the process of technology transfer in entrepreneurial university. This research is applied-developmental type and on the other hand, data driven theories have been used in this study. Current model is generally tried to meanwhile compensate previous shortcomings, include some strengths such as considering domestic factors of Iran as well as update effective factors on the process of technology transfer. Finally the suggested model has been compared with existing well-known models that each one of those models have some drawbacks which have been tried to be minimized in suggested model as much as possible.

Today, the times of knowledge-intelligence made changes of the ordinary life of citizens society, and also changed greatly the circumstance of leadership in the military. The times of knowledge-intelligence changed the circumstances of national security and the features of warfares, and also make affecting decisively to senses and style of new who were servicing in the military. In order to response effectively against the changes of those leadership circumstances, senior level leadership should be understand in depth human psychology and battlefield circumstances in the dimension of policies and strategies, and should be executed their leadership. In this thesis, I reviewed the concept and vision of senior level leadership theories and cases about traits and roles In addition, I suggested development options for senior level leadership such as (1) high charactenstics and professionalism, (2)educational center of military for advanced democratic citizen and leadership, (3)execution of leadership in psychological leadership, (4)development of leadership needed in the battlefield Finally, the current military senior level leadership should be changed from one-side and authority style to the change-orientated style, which could believe and participate by themselves.
