휠췌어 추진시 근전도 신호의 특성 변화 (Changes in Surface EMG Parameters during Dynamic Wheelchair Propulsion)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the possibility of using surface electromyographic signals as a measure of muscle fatigue during the wheelchair propulsion. Subjects performed wheelchair exercise tests on a motor-driven treadmill with a constant-velocity of 1.25 m/sec. During each test, the raw EMC signals were acquired from the surface electrodes attached on the belly of five muscle groups: biceps brachii, pectoralis major. deltoid, triceps brachii, and trapezius. The median power frequency(MPF), and the root mean square(RMS) amplitude were calculated for each cyclic contraction in order to quantify muscle fatigue. During the wheelchair propulsion, the MPF decreased and the RMS increased in the trapezius and deltoid. However, the decreasing MPF and the increasing RMS also fluctuated severly during dynamic muscle contractions. Therefore, the MPF and RMS values should be estimated with well-designed methods and used with caution to quantify muscle fatigue during wheelchair propulsion.

  • A prototype of a linear piezoelectric actuator is developed and its dynamic behaviors are investigated. The actuator consists of a driving tip with two stacked piezoelectric elements and a slider. Dynamic characteristics of slider over various vibration lici of the driving tip and changes of normal force acting on the vibratory tip are examined through experiments. The moving direction of slider can be controlled by changing a phase angle between input signals applied to piezoelectric elements. A change of phase difference between input signals also have a great influence on the vibration locus of driving tip. Changes of slider motion due to different vibration loci are examined by experiments.

  • A cylindrical capacitive displacement sensor (CCS) was developed and applied for monitoring end milling processes. Dynamic characteristics of a spindle-assembly were measured using the CCS and a designed magnetic exciter. The technique to extract the spindle displacement component caused only by cutting from the measured signals using the CCS was proposed in the paper. Using CCS signals and FRF (Frequency Response Function) derived from dynamics of the spindle tool system, dynamic cutting forces are estimated quantitatively.

  • Biomedical signals such as ECG, EMG, and EEG are extremely important in the diagnosis of patients. It is difficult to filter noise from these signals, and errors resulting from filtering can distort a biomedical signal. Existing systems have shown poor performance when complicated noise appears. Adaptive filtering is selected to contend with these defects. Existing adaptive filters can adjust the filter coefficient with the given filter order, but they can produce an unsuitable order in different environments. In order to solve this problem, an optimal adaptive filter with a dynamic structure was designed. Positive experimental results were obtained.

  • This paper proposes the algorithm of torque distribution in the electric wheel-chair using 2D joystick for drive safety. For the accurate driving performance, the specific and precise torque distribution is required in both wheels depending on signals of X-Y axis that is generated from 2D joystick. The signals of X-Y axis from joystick are transformed into the propulsion force and the torque reference. And the torque reference can be generated through the dynamic model of wheel-chair. The optimal dynamic characteristics of the electric powered wheelchair can be obtained, by adjusting the sensitivity coefficients of propulsion force and torque reference, In addition, the system takes smooth and stable control characteristics due to continuous torque output at all directions of joystick. The several simulations verify the usefulness of the proposed algorithm about torque distribution.

저속 충격하에서의 금속복합재료의 동적 특성 (Dynamic Behaviors of Metal Matrix Composites in Low Velocity Impact)

  • 본 연구에서는 저속 충격에서 충격 속도에 따른 금속복합재료의 동적 거동을 연구하였다. 시험에 사용된 재료는 모재로 AC8A와 보강재로 알루미나($Al_2O_3$)와 탄소를 사용하였으며 용탕 주조법을 이용하여 금속복합재료를 제조하였다. 금속복합재료에는 15%의 부피분율을 가진 알루미나 예비성형체와 알루미나와 탄소를 각각 12%와 3% 사용한 혼합 에비성형체가 사용되었다. 제조된 금속복합재료는 인장 시험과 진동 시험을 통해 인장 강도와 탄성계수를 구하였으며, 저주파 여파기(low pass filter)와 계장화 충격 시험기를 이용하여 충격 속도에 따른 금속복합재료의 충격 거동을 연구하였다. 저주파 여파기를 이용함으로써 충격 속도에 관계없이 안정적인 실험치를 확보할 수 있었다. 충격 속도의 증가에 따라 모재와 금속복합재료의 충격에너지는 증가하였으나, 동적인성치는 일정한 값을 보였다. 충격 속도가 증가할수록 충격에너지 중 균열전파에너지의 향상이 두드러졌으며, 재료의 변형량이 증가하였다. 충격에너지 중 균열개시에너지와 동적파괴인성치의 관계를 설명하기 위하여 변형율 에너지와 노치에서의 응력 분포를 이용하여 간단한 모델을 제시하였으며, 이로부터 균열개시에너지는 동적 파괴 인성치의 자승에 비례하고 탄성계수에 반비례하는 것을 보였다.

  • A key advantage of boundary scan technology is the ability to observe data at device inputs and control data at device outputs, independent of on-chip system logic. But, this method has a disadvantage for detecting of faults that changes their states very fast. We present a method to solve this problem and make it possible to detect the signals. We shown the simulation results of testing a circuit that has fast signal above the clock speed.

  • Global Positioning System (GPS) is used in various fields such as communications systems, transportation systems, e-commerce, power plant systems, and up to various military weapons systems recently. However, GPS receiver is vulnerable to jamming signals as the GPS signals come from the satellites located at approximately 20,000 km above the earth. For this reason, various anti-jamming techniques have been developed for military application systems especially and it is also required for commercial application systems nowadays. In this paper, we proposed a dual-channel Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) RF ASIC for digital pre-correlation anti-jam technique. It not only covers all GNSS frequency bands, but is integrated low-gain/attenuation mode in low-noise amplifier (LNA) without influencing in/out matching and 14-bit analogdigital converter (ADC) to have a high dynamic range. With the aid of digital processing, jamming to signal ratio is improved to 77 dB from 42 dB with proposed receiver. RF ASIC for anti-jam is fabricated on a 0.18-μm complementary metal-oxide semiconductor (CMOS) technology and consumes 1.16 W with 2.1 V (low-dropout; LDO) power supply. And the performance is evaluated by a kind of test hardware using the designed RF ASIC.

  • 발파에 의한 암반손상영역을 평가하고 암반 파쇄도를 제어하기 위해서는 장약실 내 발생하는 폭발압력에 관한 정보는 중요하다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 철, 알루미늄, 아크릴 재질의 센서에 대한 낙추 충격 시험으로부터 동적 변형률 신호를 측정하여 센서의 동적 응답 특성을 분석하였다. 철재 센서의 경우 충격하중에 가장 적은 변형률 출력 값을 보였으며 센서길이에 대한 출력 값의 변화는 적게 나타났다. 철제 센서를 뇌관의 충격하중 측정에 적용하였다.
