Window roller housings are durable because high-quality source materials such as stainless steel is used in making them. After a series of precise structure analysis, their design is optimized. They are subject to repetitive driving tests of more 100,000 times, durability tests, impact resistance tests, corrosion tests and others. For a long time, gaps often occur in press molded products owing to serious squareness deformation and flatness deformation of them. Severe burrs in press molded products require frequent grinding, which leads to short life cycle and rough or unreliable movement of assembled roller housing, which, in turn, causes product defects. This study focuses on developing measures to resolve existing defects and to improve lifespan of dies by designing and making a window roller shearing die.

This article is intended to investigate how the Japanese consumers have changed the country image on Korea, the evaluation toward products manufactured by Korea and the willingness to buy Korean products through the experience of Korean Wave. So the country image, the evaluation and the willingness were compared between the before and after experiencing Korean Wave The empirical result said that during the span of Korean Wave the country image and the evaluation have improved, but the intentions to purchase Korean products are still not positive in Japan. So an additional analysis was made to find the reason of the unwillingness to buy Korean products. Although they regard Korean products as qualitatively good against price, they seldom know Korean brand, hardly watch korean product's advertisement. Especially the intentions to purchase Korean products in durable goods was lower than in consuming goods.

Due to the rapid advancement of technologies, a growing number of innovative products with a short life-cycle have been introduced to the market. As the life-cycles of such products are shorter than those of durable goods, the demand variation during the life-cycle adds to the difficulty of inventory management. Traditional inventory planning models and techniques mostly deal with products that have long life-cycles. The assumptions on the demand pattern and subsequent solution approaches are generally, not suitable for dealing with products with short life-cycles. In this research, inventory replenishment problems based on the logistic demand model are formulated and solved to facilitate the management of products with short life-cycles. An extended Wagner- Whitin approach is used to determine the replenishment cycle, schedules and lot-sizes.

The sofa industry, which is now one of the major furniture industries in Korea, has developed since 1970s as the apartment building boom and the rise of living standards triggered its demand. Among others, durable and high-quality leather sofa had been most favored and excelled other sofas since mid-1980s along with the growth of national economy before IMF control tightened money market in late 1990s. Leather sofa is still favored and its industry has great possibilities to increase as people tend to seek higher and more personalized living conditions with the stabilization of economy. However, there are several problems in the sofa industry due to the current economic difficult conditions, i.e.; 1. It is hard to cut down the cost of raw material as the supply mostly depend on import. 2. It is hard to keep product quality due to technical difficulties. 3. There are still illegal duplicates of foreign or domestic competitors'design. The aim of this study is to examine the reality of the leather sofa industry in Korea and to suggest new vision for its progress.

In Thailand, the electricity consumption is very high with the intention of reduce high temperature in the building. Since 2000, a lot of people paying attention to Green-Building concept. A similar concept is natural building, which is usually on a smaller scale and tends to focus on the use of natural materials that are available locally. Therefore, the Earth-Block (EAB) product is appropriated approach to reduce energy consumption in the buildings. The EAB is produced with environmentally friendly process, which does not release harmful pollution and effective cost. The main significant character is durable materials for building construction. This study aims to develop the new thermal insulation by using soil-cement with vetiver grass fibre. Additionally, it describes the innovative systems used in production of EAB materials by mixing the soil-cement with vetiver grass fibre. This paper reveals lowest costs, space configurations changing and greater design flexibility for constructing the building.

There are many elastomeric joint sealant applications in construction such as structural glazing, weatherproofing and insulating glass fabrication etc. Each sealant joints require unique durability functions to perform well through building life cycle. Elastomeric joints in bathroom and kitchen is one of areas which require durable sealing. In this application, anti fungal durability is proprietary function of sealant during building life cycle. Premature failure of anti fungus resistance of sealant is putting big stresses to general contractor as well as the inhabitants due to costly rework and poor sanitation. Accordingly, when chemists design a product, they must take into account various parameters not only formulation components also test conditions in order to have long term fungal durability. This paper reviews several biocide options with various industry standards for fungus resistance performance to suggest making new test method for construction sealant industry.

본 연구의 목적은 우리나라에 유통되는 전동공구를 중심으로 사양과 디자인에 대한 비교를 통하여 각 제조사 디자인속성과 디자인 전략을 파악하는 것이다. 연구범위는 이 분야의 대표적인 3개 생산업체와 이들의 발전과정과 출시제품이며 연구방법은 각 제조업체의 제품 출시 수준(제품라인: product line)과 제품군별 다양화 수준(제품믹스: product mix)의 조사 비교, 그리고 이를 이미지 맵(image map)에 배치하여 디자인의 속성을 비교하는 것으로 했다. 전동공구는 동력원인 모터를 이용하여 각종 구조물을 제조ㆍ가공하는데 사용되는 공구로 구조적으로는 조립제품의 특징을 갖고 있고, 일반 사양은 소형, 경량인데다 견고한 제품속성과 함께 각 사양별로 규격과 종류가 다양한 것이 일반 소비재와 다른 점이다. 제품의 가장 중요한 요구조건이 사용 간편성과 우수성능이다. 이 때문에 장착 모터의 성능, 기어(gear)부의 정밀성, 내마모성 등이 전동공구의 품질을 좌우한다. 전동공구는 가정에서부터 중공업에 이르기까지 폭넓게 사용되고 있으며 기계, 자동차, 조선, 항공, 전자 공업 등 첨단 산업의 핵심 분야이다. 전동공구는 종류에 따라 전기 드릴 류, 전기 그라인더, 전기 톱, 전기샌더 등으로 구분할 수 있으며 사용자에 따라 산업용과 가정용으로 구분할 수 있다. 또한 작업용도별로 천공 작업용, 연삭 작업용, 연마 작업용, 체결 작업용, 절단 작업용으로 분류할 수 있다. 보슈(BOSCH), 블랙앤데커(BLACK&DECKER), 계양전기의 전동공구들을 제품라인과 제품믹스로 분류하여 각 업체의 제품특성을 비교하는 방법으로 이미지 스케일을 적용하였으며 이를 통하여 각 기업의 디자인개발 전략에 대하여 기초적 수준의 특성을 파악할 수 있었다. 이미지 맵의 파라미터는 각 업체별 제품의 컬러, 형태 및 하우징에 사용된 재료로 하였고 이를 통하여 디자인의 지향성을 비교분석할 수 있었다. 이에 부가적으로 동급제품을 각각 선정하여 이들의 성능에 대한 수평비교와 심층 분석을 통해 기술력, 품질, 성능 등의 차이점도 알아보았다. 비록 기초적 수준의 조사지만 이 과정을 통하여 전동공구의 시장의 일반 특성, 각 기업의 제품특성과 시장목표, 제품전략 등을 비교해 봄으로써 향후 전동공구 시장의 방향 예측과 디자인에 대한 개발전략의 기초 마련에 기여하고자 했다.

본 연구는 빌딩 및 포장도로 등의 증가에 따라 심화되고 있는 도심부의 열섬현상을 감소할 수 있는 보수성 콘크리트 포장을 도출하기 위한 것으로 이를 위하여 보수 효과가 있는 산업부산물인 바텀애시를 잔골재의 대체재로 활용하였다. 한편 바텀애시 대체로 인한 역학성능 저하를 개선하기 위하여 메타카올린을 첨가한 시험체를 제작하여 다양한 시험을 통하여 내구적이며 환경적인 보수성 콘크리트의 특성을 고찰하였다.

The advanced and complicated modern society recognizes image creation based on the identity of the global competitive age as the important means. The requirement for a new vision to the globally environmental problem has affected on design so that as environmentally-friendly products and technologies have been developed and original expression modes have been appeared which the medium of paper which is natural material, paper has been highlighted newly. Hanji made of mulberry fiber, a bast fiber of mulberry is a representative environment-friendly natural fiber. In addition, it has various functions similar to those of yellow earth such as emission of far infrared rays, antibiosis, deodorization, fast dry ability of sweat, and simple dyeing ability. It is Hanji threads that are produced from various processes of Hanji materials. Therefore, hanji threads are able to be both woven and knitted still remaining Hanji's excellent characteristics. In addition, it is light, bio-degradable, durable and washable, and it is an environment friendly product with the distinguished texture and sensitivity. Under the concept of 'Circle' designed the uniforms of music hall to inform that the uniforms as a media representing music hall represents the unique Sori Arts Center of Jeollabuk-do traditional style.

The purpose of this study is to examine the factors affecting the consumer's search for information and the relationship between the amount of search and the final price paid. The model indicates the demand for search is affected by the market price of each durable good purchased, the tim available for search, family income, direct cost of search, the initial stock of information, effectiveness of search, and shopping attitudes. The final price savings are a function of search, price of dispersion in the market, the initial stock of information, and effectiveness of search. Data from the Pane Study on Consumer Decisions and Asset Management were used for the empirical testing of the theoretical model. The amount of information search as dependent variable is represented by two different measures, the level of discussion with others and the number of stores visited. The amount of discussion with others depends mainly on the respondent's shopping attitude. The higher the wife's desire to search, the higher the degree of husband's comparison shopping, the less the husband's perception of price-quality relationship, the higher the level of discussions with others. The number of stores visited depends on the average market price of product purchased and the level of family income. The higher the average market price and he higher the level of family income, the greater the number of stores visited. The final savings depend upon the level of information search. The greater the number of store visited, but the less the purchase is discussed with stores, the higher the final savings are.
