  • Interleaved Dual Boost(IDB) converter can reduce current ripple, switching loss and harmonics without filter in input power line. Moreover, this improve power factor. In this paper, we will use the state average methode and small signal analysis at the Interleaved dual boost converter. 4-type controllers were designed by using control transfer function. The result of these controller simulations is analyzed and proposed a proper controller at IDB

  • DC microgrids are considered as prospective systems because of their easy connection of distributed energy resources (DERs) and electric vehicles (EVs), reduction of conversion loss between dc output sources and loads, lack of reactive power issues, etc. These features make them very suitable for future industrial and commercial buildings' power systems. In addition, the bipolar-type dc system structure is more popular, because it provides two voltage levels for different power converters and loads. To keep voltage balanced in such a dc system, a bidirectional dual buck-boost voltage balancer with direct coupling is introduced based on P-cell and N-cell concepts. This results in greatly enhanced system reliability thanks to no shoot-through problems and lower switching losses with the help of power MOSFETs. In order to increase system efficiency and reliability, a novel burst-mode control strategy is proposed for the dual buck-boost voltage balancer. The basic operating principle, the current relations, and a small-signal model of the voltage balancer are analyzed under the burst-mode control scheme in detail. Finally, simulation experiments are performed and a laboratory unit with a 5kW unbalanced ability is constructed to verify the viability of the bidirectional dual buck-boost voltage balancer under the proposed burst-mode control scheme in low-voltage bipolar-type dc microgrids.

  • In this paper, a highly efficiency power amplifier is presented for multi-band antenna system. The class F power amplifier operating in dual-band designed with one LDMOSFET. An operating frequency of power amplifier is 900 MHz and 2.14 GHz respectively Matching networks and harmonic control circuits of amplifier are designed by using the unit cell of composite right/left-handed(CRLH) transmission line(TL) realized with lumped elements. The CRLH TL can lead to metamaterial transmission line with the dual-band holing capability. The dual-band operation of the CRLH TL is achieved by the frequency offset and the nonlinear phase slope of the CRLH TL for the matching network of the power amplifier. Because the control of all harmonic components for high efficiency is very difficult, we have controled only the second- and third-harmonics to obtain the high efficiency with the CRLH TL. Also, the proposed power amplifier has been realized by using the harmonic control circuit for not only the output matching network, but also the input matching network for better efficiency.

  • Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing(OFDM) dual-hop systems can take full advantages of the techniques of both multi-hop communication and OFDM. To achievethis end, we propose a joint subcarrier matching, power allocation and bit loading algorithm operating under a total power constraint and the same Bit Error Rate(BER) threshold over all subcarriers. Simulation results demonstrated system throughput improvement compared to single-hop systems and dual-hop systems with different bit loading algorithms for each relay position, power constraint, and required BER.

  • This paper presents a power supply system with pre-regulator using zero voltage switching (ZVS) interleaving two-transistor forward converter for high input voltage and high power application. A SMPS has a advantage that a good efficiency, small size and light weight but has a noise problem. A linear power supply system has a advantage that a good stability, low ripple and noise but has a disadvantage that a big size, low efficiency and heat problem. To alleviate these problems, we propose an power supply system using dual ZVS interleaving two-transistor forward pre-regulator. The proposed converter is verified on a 1kW, 50kHz experimental prototype.

  • In this paper the power divider is realized using the IPD processes for 900/1800 MHz; the designed power divider achieved the isolation of more than -24 dB. the insertion loss of nearly -3.5 dB, and the return loss of about -25 dB. The simple dual-band power divider based on SI-GaAs substrate is realized within the die size of about $2.5\times2mm^2$.

  • Three-port dual-active bridge (DAB) converter in a DC microgrid was studied due to its high power density and cost-effectiveness. The other advantages of DAB include galvanic isolation and bidirectional power conversion capability using simple control modulation. The three-port DAB converter consists of a three winding transformer and three bridges. The transformer has three phases, which means that the ports are coupled. Thus, the three-port DAB converter causes unwanted power flows when the load connected to each port changes. The basic operational principles of the three-port DAB converter are presented in this study. The decoupling control strategy of the independent port power transfer is presented with a mathematical power model to overcome the unexpected power flow problem. The validity of the proposed analysis and control strategy is verified with PSIM simulation and experiments using a 1-kW prototype power converter.

  • In case of favourable irradiation conditions, the ratio of irradiation to the total irradiation went up and then the irradiation increased in the area with high angle of inclination. The study showed that on a clear day with the irradiation of more than $800[W/m^2]$, the pattern of alternating current power change in the fixed system was similar with that in the single-axis tracker. On the contrary, in case of unfavourable irradiation conditions, the ratio of diffuse irradiation to the total irradiation went up and then the horizontal irradiation increased. In the demo system, the fixed system, the single-axis tracker and the dual-axis tracker all had low generation power and similar generation pattern with each other. The study showed the generation power varied with the irradiation in the fixed system, while in the single-axis tracker and the dual-axis tracker, the amount of the generation power variation was much more than the irradiation variation. The demo system was operated from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM for generating power, during which time, 46[%] to 56[%] of the total generation power was produced. In this study. the generation power was increased by 147[%] in the fixed system, by 136[%] in the single-axis tracker, and by 164[%] in the dual-axis tracker, and the pattern of generation power was similar with the generation power variation in the situation where the irradiation increased by 140[%] in the spring with plenty of insolation. The alternating current power was more sensitive to variation of the irradiation than to that of the surface temperature of a module. The variation of the irradiation had a more positive effect on the generation power than the type of array.

  • This paper presents a dual-mode bias modulator (BM) for complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) power amplifiers (PAs). The BM includes a hybrid buck converter and a normal buck converter for an envelope tracking (ET) mode for high output power and for an average power tracking (APT) mode for low output power, respectively. The dual-mode BM and CMOS PA are designed using a $0.18-{\mu}m$ CMOS process for the 1.75 GHz band. For the 16-QAM LTE signal with a peak-to-average power ratio of 7.3 dB and a bandwidth of 5 MHz, the PA with the ET mode exhibited a poweradded efficiency (PAE) of 39.2%, an EVM of 4.8%, a gain of 19.0 dB, and an adjacent channel leakage power ratio of -30 dBc at an average output power of 22 dBm, while the stand-alone PA has a PAE of 8% lower at the same condition. The PA with APT mode has a PAE of 21.3%, which is an improvement of 13.4% from that of the stand-alone PA at an output power of 13 dBm.

  • A new plasma display panel sustaining driver using single side sustaining technique with the dual resonant method is proposed. Since this circuit enables to reduce switches in energy recovery circuit with keeping voltage stress like that of prior circuit, it can be low cost circuit comparing with a conventional driver. To integrate sustain function into one side with single power source in the driver, a charge pump method is adopted to make negative sustaining voltage and achieve dual resonant energy recovery on sustaining modes.
