고해상도 AC PDP를 위한 새로운 구동 방식 (A New Driving Method for High Resolution AC PDPs)

  • We have proposed a new driving method of AC PDPs for high resolution and high luminance, in which address pulses shorter than 1 $\mu$sec and increase address time, make it possible to drive 2100 scan lines The proposed driving scheme also allows high sustain frequency, leading to improved luminance. The experiment with a 4-inch color AC PDP with 30$\times$58 pixels realized a high luminance of 850cd/$m^2$ when the sustain voltage of 140v with the frequency of 125KHz is applied to the panel, and showed the possibility of the proposed driving scheme for high luminance and high resolution AC PDPs with 2100 lines.

  • 완전자율주행(Auto Driving, AD) 실현을 위한 다양한 기술적, 사회적 접근이 진행되고 있으며, 동시에 통신 네트워크와 확장된 첨단운전자지원시스템을 포함하는 협력주행(Cooperative Driving, CD)에 대한 개발이 진행되고 있다. CD에서는 운전자와 시스템의 역할 분담과 주행 안정성 확보가 중요하기 때문에 운전자와 차량 간 효율적인 인터페이스 방안이 요구된다. 본 연구는 CD에서의 운전자와 시스템의 역할과 기능을 고려하여 운전자, 시스템 및 불확실성을 내재한 주행 환경을 포함하는 연구모델을 제안한다. 또한 주행 환경에 대한 분석과 연구모델을 이용하여 CD에서의 다양한 주행 상황에 대응해야하는 운전자와 차량 간의 효율적인 인터페이스 방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구를 통해서 제안된 연구모델과 인터페이스 방안은 CD 시스템 설계, 운전석 모듈 개발 및 인터페이스 디바이스 개발에 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • This paper describes the optimal sizing of each component using computer simulation and presents the efficient operating scheme of series HEV using hardware simulator the equivalent system. As the sizing method of components have been experimental and empirical it is needed to spend much time and development cost. however the results of computer simulation will set the optimal sizing of components in short time. There are two type of driving control power-tracking mode and load-levelling mode in series HEV. This paper presents that series HEV be operated in the load-levelling mode which is more efficient that power-tracking mode.

  • In the conventional wire feeder drives of welding machine, one thyristor or MOSFET device was used for half-wave phase control circuit and direct EMF measurement was used for sensing the wire feed rate. But the method using one switching device has poor response for sudden disturbance and it has latent speed ripple. It can affect some welding performance such as spatter generation and irregular bead formming. Therefore, the welding performance using full-bridge PWM speed control scheme was compared with conventional driving scheme was compared with conventional driving scheme and experimented in this paper. The results of experiment confirm the posibility of welding performance improvement by proposed constant speed control scheme in wire feeding drive of welding machine.

  • A driving simulators of aircraft and vehicle may consist of hydraulic power systems with many single-rod cylinders. The single-rod hydraulic systems are convenient but need more robust control scheme in order to achieve a reliable performance against the wide range of operating disturbances and the inherent model uncertainties. $H_{\infty}$ control scheme was implemented to the 2 degree-of-freedom hydraulic device similar to the simple driving simulator. With the reasonable disturbances from sensor, base and pump and also with the linearization of model, the simulation and experimental results showed good agreements.

  • 본 논문에서는 LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) 컨트롤러와 LCD 구동 칩 사이의 신호 전송에서 전력 소비 및 전자기 장애(EMI)를 줄이기 위한 데이타 코딩 방법을 제안하였다. 제안한 방식은 컴퓨터의 일반적인 텍스트 화면에 대한 데이타 천이(transition)를 감소시키는 방식으로 하드웨어 구조가 간단하여 실시간 처리가 요구되는 LCD 구동 시스템에 적용하기 용이하다. 제안한 방식의 성능 분석을 위해 컴퓨터를 이용한 시뮬레이션을 수행하였으며 기존의 코딩 방식과의 성능 비교 및 평가를 하였다. 시뮬레이션을 통해 제안한 방식이 기존 방식에 비하여 텍스트 화면과 그림 화면에 대해서 switching activity를 현저히 줄일 수 있음을 확인하였다.

  • The plasma display panel with the electrode structure of new discharge AND gate and its driving scheme were proposed and the driving system for experiment was developed. And operation of these discharge AND gate was verified by the experiment of PDP addressing with floating electrode. This discharge AND gate operated by the operation speed of 8$mutextrm{s}$ and the operation margin of 100V. The address operation margin of 10V also obtained. It was known to be able to control the discharge of the adjoining scan electrode accurately. Because proposed method uses the DC discharge the control of the discharge can be facilitated compared with conventional discharge AND gate. Moreover, because the input discharge and the output discharge of discharge gate are separate, the display discharge can be prevented from passing discharge gates. Therefore, it is possible to apply to the large screen plasma display panel. And the decrease of contrast ratio does not occur because the scanning discharge does not influence the picture quality.

  • The understanding of reset scheme is essential for the driving of AC PDP (Plasma Display Panel). The characteristics of reset period of AC PDP was examined with the variation of pulse time and voltage in the ADS (Address Display Separated) driving method presented by Fujitsu,. The addressing characteristics showed drastic change as a function of the erasing time and addressing pulse width. In this paper, these results were explained by the change of wall charge variation, and it was estimated with the currents through each electrode.

  • New charge-recycling structure and driving scheme for TFT-LCD source-driver IC application are proposed. The number of additional switches for the charge recycling is greatly reduced. An experimental prototype 6-bit source driver with five-level seven-phase charge recycling implemented in a $0.35-{\mu}m$ CMOS technology demonstrates that the quiescent current is only 3.1 mA, dynamic power saving is 75 %, and the settling time, which includes the charge-recycling and data driving, is within 25 $25{\mu}s$.
