고속 플래시 스토리지를 위한 핫-콜드 인덱스의 성능 평가 (A Performance Evaluation of Hot-Cold Index for High-Speed Flash Storages)

  • 데스크탑 및 이동형 컴퓨터의 저장 장치를 지원하는 플래시 메모리는 비휘발성, 낮은 전력소모, 빠른 데이터 접근 속도 등의 장점이 있다. 하지만, 일반 RAM 메모리에 비하여 상대적으로 느린 연산 특성을 고려하여 기존의 전통적인 인덱스 관리 기법을 개선할 필요가 있다. 이를 위하여, 본 논문은 CHC-Tree 라고 하는 압축된 핫-콜드 클러스터링에 기반하는 새로운 인덱스 관리 기법을 제안한다. CHC-Tree는 인덱스 노드를 핫-콜드 세그먼트로 분류하며, 인덱스 노드의 키와 포인터를 압축한다. 또한, 실험 결과를 통하여 기존의 B-Tree 기반의 인덱스 관리 기법보다 인덱스 검색 및 인덱스 수정 연산에서 더 우수함을 확인하였다.

분류나무를 활용한 군집분석의 입력특성 선택: 신용카드 고객세분화 사례 (Classification Tree-Based Feature-Selective Clustering Analysis: Case of Credit Card Customer Segmentation)

  • Clustering analysis is used in various fields including customer segmentation and clustering methods such as k-means are actively applied in the credit card customer segmentation. In this paper, we summarized the input features selection method of k-means clustering for the case of the credit card customer segmentation problem, and evaluated its feasibility through the analysis results. By using the label values of k-means clustering results as target features of a decision tree classification, we composed a method for prioritizing input features using the information gain of the branch. It is not easy to determine effectiveness with the clustering effectiveness index, but in the case of the CH index, cluster effectiveness is improved evidently in the method presented in this paper compared to the case of randomly determining priorities. The suggested method can be used for effectiveness of actively used clustering analysis including k-means method.

  • For the purpose of predicting credit card customer churn accurately through data analysis, a model can be constructed with various machine learning algorithms, including decision tree. And feature importance has been utilized in selecting better input features that can improve performance of data analysis models for several application areas. In this paper, a method of utilizing feature importance calculated from the MDI method and its effects are investigated in the credit card customer churn prediction problem with classification trees. Compared with several random feature selections from case data, a set of input features selected from higher value of feature importance shows higher predictive power. It can be an efficient method for classifying and choosing input features necessary for improving prediction performance. The method organized in this paper can be an alternative to the selection of input features using feature importance in composing and using classification trees, including credit card customer churn prediction.

서사 패턴의 연관분석을 통한 이야기 장면 생성 방법 (An Approach for Generating Story-Plot Using Association Analysis of Narrative Patterns)

  • A narrative structure is essential for a story generator to create a story plot. In digital storytelling system, a narrative structure can be generally designed as a tree or a graph, and the story generator in the digital storytelling system creates continuous story plots based on the narrative structure. When a narrative structure is designed with a tree or a graph, it is hard for the story generator to create various kinds of story-plots due to the inflexible nature of a tree or graph structure. It may result in degrading the quality of story-plots to provide similar story-plot to various kind of user. In this paper, we proposed an approach to create a story-plot based on association analysis of data mining to overcome the disadvantage. In detail, we defined a narrative structure which consists of narrative patterns, and then implemented a story generator which creates a story-plot using the proposed narrative structure. As a result, we confirmed that implemented story generator was able to create a story-plot according to understanding level of user in case study.

소나무 재선충의 정보관리 어플리케이션 (The Information Management Application of Bursaphelenchus xylophilus)

  • 본 연구에서는 우리나라의 대표수종 소나무의 치명적인 해충인 소나무재선충 피해목의 확산을 조기에 차단하고 산림수목에 대한 지속적인 관리를 위하여 소나무재선충 피해수목 신고 어플리케이션을 개발하였다. 어플리케이션은 다음과 같이 3개 핵심항목을 중심으로 개발되었다. 첫째, 소나무재선충에 대한 정보제공, 둘째, 피해목의 자가진단, 셋째, 수목안전지도 등으로 구성하였다. 향후 본 어플리케이션의 활성화를 위해서 실제로 어플리케이션을 사용하는 이용자들의 적극적인 참여와 산림청 어플리케이션과의 통합개발이 이뤄진다면 보다 많은 활용이 가능할 것이다.

  • Solid insulation exposed to voltage is degraded by electrical tree process. And the degradation of the insulation is accelerated by voltage application. For this experiment, specimens of electrical tree models were made by three types of XLPE (cross-linked polyethylene). And distribution characteristics of degraded stages are studied too. As a method of detecting and data process, discharge data was acquired from PD detecting system (Biddle instrument). And microscope and digital camera were used to observe the morphologies of the electrical tree to divide stages of the tree. The system presents statistical distribution as phase resolved. Moreover the processing time of electrical tree is recorded to know the speed of degradation according to voltage.

  • 전자신분증 시스템을 구현하기 위해서는 여러 가지 보안요소들이 고려되어야 한다. 본 논문에서는 Hash Tree와 Keyed Hash를 이용하여 전자신분증 시스템에 효율적으로 적용될 수 있는 메시지 인증(Message Authentication) 프토토콜을 제안한다.

쿼드트리 분할 기술을 이용한 컬러 영상 암호화 기술 (Color Image Encryption Technique Using Quad-tree Decomposition Method)

  • 최근 다양한 형태의 영상 콘텐츠가 제작되고 있고, 이를 위한 저작권 보호기술에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 컬러 영상을 위한 영상암호화 기술을 제안한다. 이 기술은 영상을 RGB 색차성분으로 분할한 후, 윤곽선을 기준으로 쿼드트리 분할을 수행한다. 쿼드트리 분할 후, 선정된 블록들을 대상으로 암호화를 수행한다. 색차성분을 대상으로 암호화를 수행하여 암호화 효율을 측정하고, 컬러 영상으로 재구성한 후에도 암호화 효율을 측정한다. 암호화 효율은 시각적인 측정방식과 객관적인 화질평가 방식을 이용한다. 실험결과 PSNR 수치는 색차성분의 경우 7~10[dB], 컬러 영상의 경우 16~19[dB]로 측정되었다. 본 논문에서 제안한 영상암호화 기술은 향후 다양한 디지털 영상 콘텐츠의 저작권 보호에 사용될 것으로 보인다.

차량인터넷을 포함한 V2X 환경에서 안전한 차량 통신 서비스 제공을 위한 해시 트리 기반 통신 프로토콜 (Hash Tree based Communication Protocol in V2X Environments Including Internet of Vehicles for Providing Secure Vehicular Communication Services)

  • Various messages generated in vehicles are transmitted based on the wireless telecommunication which is a core technology of vehicle to everything (V2X). However, the hackers attack them upon penetration to the system and network to cause the generation of users' inconveniences for vehicular communication. Moreover, huge damage could be occurred in terms of physical and materialistic areas if the users in the vehicles were attacked in the communication environment. Therefore, this study was to design the safe communication protocol using hash tree technique in the V2X environments. Using hash tree technique, processes of issuing certificate and registration and communication protocol were designed, and safety analysis was performed on the attacking technique which is occurred in the existing vehicles. Approximately 62% of decrease in the capacity analysis was found upon comparative analysis of telecommunication processes with the system to issue the certificate which is used in the existing vehicles.

디지털 영상 처리를 위한 Quincunx 표본화가 사용된 이중 트리 이산 웨이브렛 변환 (Dual-tree Wavelet Discrete Transformation Using Quincunx Sampling For Image Processing)

  • In this paper, we explore the application of 2-D dual-tree discrete wavelet transform (DDWT), which is a directional and redundant transform, for image coding. DDWT main property is a more computationally efficient approach to shift invariance. Also, the DDWT gives much better directional selectivity when filtering multidimensional signals. The dual-tree DWT of a signal is implemented using two critically-sampled DWTs in parallel on the same data. The transform is 2-times expansive because for an N-point signal it gives 2N DWT coefficients. If the filters are designed is a specific way, then the sub-band signals of the upper DWT can be interpreted as the real part of a complex wavelet transform, and sub-band signals of the lower DWT can be interpreted as the imaginary part. The quincunx lattice is a sampling method in image processing. It treats the different directions more homogeneously than the separable two dimensional schemes. Quincunx lattice yields a non separable 2D-wavelet transform, which is also symmetric in both horizontal and vertical direction. And non-separable wavelet transformation can generate sub-images of multiple degrees rotated versions. Therefore, non-separable image processing using DDWT services good performance.
