국방규격작성 방법 발전방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on Korean Defense Specification Practice Standard Development Initiative)

  • Korean defense specifications are the technical criteria of military products and major factor of acquisition system. Weapon systems and acquisition technique have been advanced dramatically after 1990's, but Korean defense specification practice standard has stayed after early 1980's except embedded software. The current status of current Korean defense specification practice standard and trend of related design and acquisition techniques like M&S, SBA, and digital manufacturing have been reviewed. This paper suggests that transfer to product, IT oriented specification structure, adaptation of digital product model and reinforcement of engineering management systems to establish a development initiative of Korean defense specification practice standard.

  • An economic design of specification limits for production process of ham is considered for a given process mean in a complete inspection plan. Each ham is inspected, and if it meets the specification, it is accepted. The ham less than the lower specification limit are changed another products or at a discounted price, and those greater than the upper specification limit are reworked. A profit model is developed which involves selling price, production cost, rework cost and the cost which is incurred by imperfect quality. Methods for finding the optimal specification limits are derived for the case of piecewise linear loss function with an industrial case study.

Evaluation of ductility capacity of steel-timber hybrid buildings for seismic design in Taiwan

  • Recently, steel-timber hybrid buildings have become prevalent worldwide because several advantages of both steel and timber structures are maintained in the hybrid system. In Taiwan, seismic design specification related to steel-timber hybrid buildings remains void. In this study, the ductility capacity of steel-timber hybrid buildings in Taiwanese seismic design specification is first proposed and evaluated using nonlinear incremental dynamic analysis (IDA). Three non-linear structural models, 12-story, 8-story, and 6-story steel-timer hybrid buildings were constructed using OpenSees. In each model, Douglas-fir was adopted to assemble the upper 4 stories as a timber structure while a conventional steel moment-resisting frame was designated in the lower part of the model. FEMA P-695 methodology was employed to perform IDAs considering 44 earthquakes to assess if the ductility capacity of steel-timber hybrid building is appropriate. The analytical results indicate that the current ductility capacity of steel moment-resisting frames can be directly applied to steel-timber hybrid buildings if the drift ratio of each story under the seismic design force for buildings in Taiwan is less than 0.3%. As a result, engineers are able to design a steel-timber hybrid building straightforwardly by following current design specification. Otherwise, the ductility capacity of steel-timber hybrid buildings must be modified which depends on further studies in the future.

재사용을 위한 소프트웨어 아키텍쳐 명세와 재구성 방법 (Software Architecture Specification and Restructuring Method for Reuse)

  • 소프트웨어 아키텍쳐는 설계 과정 동안 수정, 갱신 그리고 대체로 인해 재구성될 수 있으며, 소프트웨어 개발에 적합한 설계는 하나 이상 존재할 수 있기 때문에 다양한 관점에서 설계된 아키텍쳐를 재구성할 수 있는 방법과 아키텍쳐의 변경 요소들을 효율적으로 명세할 수 있는 방법이 필요하다. 이 논문에서는 기존에 이미 정의되어 있는 아키텍쳐와 이를 재사용하여 설계한 새로운 아키텍쳐를 통합된 구조의 소프트웨어 아키텍쳐로 재구성할 수 있는 방법을 제안하였다. 그리고, 통합된 구조의 소프트웨어 아키텍쳐 명세에 필요한 명세 요소와 명세 구조를 제안한다. 제안한 통합된 구조의 명세 방법은 아키텍쳐 설계과정에서 다양한 개발자 관점에서 정의된 아키텍쳐들을 참조 및 재사용할 수 있는 방법을 제공하고, 아키텍쳐의 수정 및 갱신 그리고 대체와 같은 변경 요소에 대해 유연성 있는 명세 방법을 제공한다.

  • This paper describes the design and implementation of the DMI display based on ERTMS specification for the Integrated Onboard Signaling System (IOSS). IOSS is consists of ATS, ATC, and ATP based on ERTMS/ETCS Level 1. We propose an improved DMI display design which has single layout concept for the IOSS. When a train is in the ATS, ATC, or ATP railway section, it is protected by the ATS, ATC, or ATP equipment, respectively. Therefore, DMI should display the different information according to the each signaling system. We design DMI display implemented as single layout for ATP, ATS and ATC information. This single layout display has a well integrated look and feel using the ERTMS specification and layout. This is for the driver to perceive the information easily and not to experience inconvenience resulting from the sense of difference when the train crossed into the different signaling section. Finally, we show the implementation result following this concept.

  • In this paper, we present simplified fault set which is made by analyzing fault relation to design specification in CMOS operational amplifier. The hard fault is easily modeled because an effect of hard fault is out of all design specification. However, the soft fault is not easily modeled because an effect of soft fault on design specification is varied according to position and depth of fault. We simulated hard and soft fault by HSPICE, varying threshold voltage and W/L ratio from 90% increase to 90% decrease. The decrease of test time and the production of high reliability mixed-mode IC are possible by the proposed fault set.

  • This paper is based on the interim result of ongoing research and development project to develop a software system which support procurement activities, namely PeMSS (Procurement Engineering Management Support System). PeMSS is a system that enables development requirements for each equipment and help designing equipment meeting the purchase requirements. Procurement at EPC (Engineering Procurement and Construction) and operational stage of a plant is an important area that determines the integrity and profitability of the plant. Procurement of unsuitable equipment due to selection of suppliers that do not meet or omit critical requirements in purchase specification can result in enormous cost increase due to such as delay in EPC project, unsatisfactory performance and reduced plant operation time. In spite of the importance of the procurement engineering, there is a lack of support system for systematic preparation of purchase specification, so development of the procurement specification is basically relying on the experience of the engineers in charge. Accordingly, it is needed to develop the PeMSS to help procurement engineers develop procurement specification based on systems engineering approach. This paper introduces the design of the PeMSS.

Economic Design of the Specification for Geometrical Quality Characteristic

  • The economic design of specification limits must be determined on an economic basis where we minimize total loss to society, which consists of both the producer and the consumer. Economic specification limits have been developed based on the assumption that the quality characteristic is normally distributed. Unfortunately, the assumption is not to meet some practical cases. In this paper, some non-normal distributions are considered for quality characteristic with geometrical features. An economic model for selecting the optimum specification limits on the basis of minimizing total cost is introduced. A case study is presented to illustrate the application in practice.

RF 집적회로의 시간영역 테스팅을 위한 사양기반 구간고장모델링 (Band Fault Modelling Based on specification for the Time Domain Test of RFIC)

  • 본 논문에서는 RF 집적회로의 설계사양을 시간영역에서 테스팅이 가능한 구간고장모델링 기법을 제안한다. 먼저 구간고장모델을 정의하였고, 정상동작구간을 결정하여 구간고장모델이 될 수 있는 조건을 증명하였다. 그리고 구간고장모델 조건을 5.25 GHz 저잡음 증폭기에 적용하여 능동소자와 수동소자의 강고장과 파라메트릭 고장의 검출이 가능한 9개의 구간고장모델을 모의실험에 의하여 구하였다. 본 논문에서 얻어진 구간고장모델을 기반으로 출력에 나타나는 출력파형의 변화를 시간영역에서 관찰하여 설계사양 테스팅을 수행할 수 있으므로 RF 집적회로의 테스팅 시간과 비용을 줄일 수 있다.

  • In this paper, we have proposed a design method for standardization of weapon information exchange between a weapon control computer of guided missile system and a high echelon command and control system. Because the weapon control computer based on diverse combat platforms is operated with several kinds of a high echelon system, it is necessary to provide a standardized design method for weapon information exchange between mutual system. In fact, it is possible to standardize a interface design specification of weapon information message because weapon information message is closely related to standard tactical data link message. It is essential that the interface design specification of weapon information is submitted to that of tactical data link information. It seems that this interface design specification is very useful in development process of the future weapon system.
