  • In this paper we present a second order PVT (parallel variable transformation) algorithm converging to second order stationary points for minimizing smooth functions, based on the first order PVT algorithm due to Fukushima (1998). The corresponding stopping criterion, descent condition and descent step for the second order PVT algorithm are given.

  • In this paper, we propose a new conjugate gradient method for solving unconstrained optimization models. By using exact and strong Wolfe line searches, the proposed method possesses the sufficient descent condition and global convergence properties. Numerical results show that the proposed method is efficient at small, medium, and large dimensions for the given test functions. In addition, the proposed method was applied to solve practical application problems in portfolio selection.

  • An iterative learning control scheme is incorporated to the computed torque method as a means to enhance the accuracy and the flexibility. A learning rule is constructed by utilizing a gradient descent algorithm and data compressing techniques are illustrated. Computer simulation results show a good performance of the scheme under a relatively high speed and a heavy payload condition.

  • 달착륙선 하강엔진에서 사출된 배기가스가 월면과 충돌할 때 배기가스와 월면과의 상호작용으로 인해 월면에 분포되어 있는 표토가 분산된다. 이때, 분산된 표토입자가 착륙선과 충돌할 경우 성능 저하 등과 같은 역효과를 야기할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 달착륙 엔진의 배기가스 거동을 전산유체해석을 통해 예측하고자 하였다. 하강엔진의 노즐내부 영역은 Navier-Stokes 방정식 기반의 연속체 유동 모델을 이용하여 해석하였으며, 노즐 외부 배기가스 거동은 연속체 유동 모델과 직접모사법(DSMC)을 적용하여 해석한 결과를 각각 비교 및 분석하였다. 이를 통해 진공환경에서 달착륙선 하강엔진에 대한 최적의 배기가스 해석 절차를 수립할 수 있었으며, 차후 한국형 달착륙선 개발에 충분히 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

시간지연 시스템을 위한 리아푸노브 이론 기반 상태 피드백 제어기 설계 (Design of Lyapunov Theory based State Feedback Controller for Time-Delay Systems)

  • This paper presents a new state feedback control approach for communication networks based control systems in which control input and output observation time-delay natures are generally occurred in practice. We first establish a generic state feedback control framework based on well-known linear system theory. A maximum time-delay value which allows critical stability of whole control system are defined to make a positive definite Lyapunov function which is mathematically composed of controlled system states. We analytically derive its control parameters by using a steepest descent optimization method in order to guarantee a stability condition through Lyapunov theory. Computer simulation is numerically carried out for demonstrating reliability of the proposed NCS algorithm and a comparative study is accomplished to prove its superiority for which the traditional control approach for NCS is made use of under same simulation scenarios.

노인의 계단 내려가기 동작 시 계단 높이와 하지 관절 모멘트와의 관계 연구 (An Investigation of the Effect of the Height of Wteps on the Joint Moment of Lower Extremities of the Elderly While Walking Downstairs)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of changing the steps height on the joint moment of lower extremity in stair-descent activity of elderly persons. Data were collected by 3-D cinematography and force platform. 9 male elderly subjects in the 60s and 70s participated in this study. All subjects performed a stair-descent in four different heights of stairs (10, 14, 18, 22cm) having 5 step staircase. The results were as follows. 1. For the step height of 22cm the maximum. plantarflexion moment was the smallest and the largest for the step height of 14cm. 2. There was not a statistical difference shown for the extension moment of the knee joint for the different height of steps. 3. There was not a statistical difference shown for the flexion moment of the hip joint for the varying height of steps but on average for the 18cm step this increased rapidly. 4. The smallest maximum. value for inversion moment was revealed for the step height of 10cm and this increased significantly for the step height of 22cm. 5. The smallest maximum. value for abduction moment of the hip joint was revealed for the step height of 10cm and this increased significantly for the step height of 22cm. 6. There was no significant difference shown for the maximum. abduction moment for the hip joint. The main conclusion is that there is a huge difference in the moment of the lower extremities for the elderly while walking down a stairs with a step height above 18 cm and that this moment increased or decreased rapidly under a condition of step height being 22cm. With the results from this research and related research of elderly walking upstairs it can be shown that the step height has a large role in the safety for the elderly.

수직 하강 비행 조건에서의 쿼드콥터 주위의 유동장 계측 (Measurement of the Flow Field Around a Quadcopter in Vertical Descending Flight)

  • 회전익기가 하강 비행 시 발생하는 와류 고리 상태는 회전면 근처에 도넛 모양의 순환유동을 발생시키며, 추력 상실로 인한 기체의 추락을 유발한다. 본 논문에서는 무인 비행체의 종류 중 하나인 쿼드콥터의 와류 고리 상태에서의 유동장을 물리적으로 규명하였다. 한국항공우주연구원 1m 아음속 풍동에서 쿼드콥터의 하강 비행을 모사했으며, 유동장 계측을 위해 입자 영상 유속계(PIV)를 이용했다. 정지 비행 상태의 유도 속도를 운동량이론을 이용하여 추정하고, 이를 통해 와류 고리 상태를 유발할 수 있는 하강 속도의 범위에서 시험을 수행하였다. 또한 하강률에 따른 유동장 계측뿐만 아니라 프로펠러 간의 간격을 달리 주어서도 와류 고리의 발달 및 진행방향을 확인하였다. 더불어 본 연구 결과는 쿼드콥터 주변의 유속 측정을 통해서도 와류 고리 상태를 예측할 수 있다는 것을 보여준다.

New Fuzzy Inference System Using a Kernel-based Method

  • In this paper, we proposes a new fuzzy inference system for modeling nonlinear systems given input and output data. In the suggested fuzzy inference system, the number of fuzzy rules and parameter values of membership functions are automatically decided by using the kernel-based method. The kernel-based method individually performs linear transformation and kernel mapping. Linear transformation projects input space into linearly transformed input space. Kernel mapping projects linearly transformed input space into high dimensional feature space. The structure of the proposed fuzzy inference system is equal to a Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model whose input variables are weighted linear combinations of input variables. In addition, the number of fuzzy rules can be reduced under the condition of optimizing a given criterion by adjusting linear transformation matrix and parameter values of kernel functions using the gradient descent method. Once a structure is selected, coefficients in consequent part are determined by the least square method. Simulated result illustrates the effectiveness of the proposed technique.

It researched a minute dust diffusion.
