Influences on Time and Spatial Characteristics of Soccer Pass Success Rate: A Case Study of the 2018 World Cup in Russia (시간과 공간적 특성에 따른 축구 패스 성공률 분석: 2018 러시아 월드컵 대회 자료를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the temporal and spatial characteristics of pass accuracy by utilizing the second processing data and official records collected from the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia video data. For a total of 128 games, the success rate of passes based on the results of the game, passing time, and passing position was two-way ANOVA with repeated measure. The results showed no difference between winning and losing groups, and no interaction effects were found for passing time and location. The difference in passing time was high in the first half, with the highest success rate in the middle of the first half (79.2%) and the middle of the second half (77.9%) in the 15~30 minutes and the 60~75 minutes. Pass success rates were in the order of defense-midfield area (83.9%), midfield-attack area (81.7%), defense area (70.6%) and attack area (61.1%). In conclusion, there was no difference in the passing success rate of the winning and losing teams depending on the characteristics of the relative competitive strength of the World Cup games, and it is believed that follow-up research is needed to analyze the game contents rather than the factors of the winning and losing in the future.

  • Recently, the image processing industry has been activated as deep learning-based technology is introduced in the image recognition and detection field. With the development of deep learning technology, learning model vulnerabilities for adversarial attacks continue to be reported. However, studies on countermeasures against poisoning attacks that inject malicious data during learning are insufficient. The conventional countermeasure against poisoning attacks has a limitation in that it is necessary to perform a separate detection and removal operation by examining the training data each time. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a technique for reducing the attack success rate by applying modifications to the training data and inference data without a separate detection and removal process for the poison data. The One-shot kill poison attack, a clean label poison attack proposed in previous studies, was used as an attack model. The attack performance was confirmed by dividing it into a general attacker and an intelligent attacker according to the attacker's attack strategy. According to the experimental results, when the proposed defense mechanism is applied, the attack success rate can be reduced by up to 65% compared to the conventional method.

Study on the Performer's Transference and Mental Borderline in a Performance (공연에서 나타나는 '전이'와 배우의 '심리적 경계'에 관한 연구)

  • The performers preparing for a performance usually experience the process of mental transference, contacting with text (drama) for the first time. It is movement from their everyday life to space in the play, when they try to break the wall between cast and themselves. The transference happens actually at the physical space, such as a dressing room, wing, (place just before appearing at a stage), and a stage (place to contact with audience). Performers keep moving among each psychological and physical space repeatedly, until the performance finishes totally. The transference means moving to each space to another, and the mental borderline means the point of mental change the performers experience during the process of transference. The mental borderline can be guessed to exist through mental aspects the performers feel when they move from each space to another. The most typical example, that shows performer's mental borderline well, is stage fright shown as tension, or anxiety among the variety of aspects. According to a research, the most performers experience that kind of mental aspect just before appearing at a stage. The study on it is already referred by my article.' This study aims at examining the relationship among psychological and physical space the performers experience, mental borderline when transferring and penetrating those spaces, and performer's mental change First, the concept of mental borderline is to be understood totally with preceded research. And the space the performers experience and mental borderline at transference are to be reorganized. Secondly, the area of transference in the process of performance is to be reclassified into physical and mental space. Third, analyzing the actual case of performers experiencing the mental borderline, the diversified use should be searched to make use of mental borderline as a positive element. The psychological symptoms, performers experience in the performance, can have positive consequence beside negative one. The tension occurring at the area of borderline is positive, and it can be the actual borderline for the performers. It will be researched how the performers change at the mental borderline, the state of mind is maintained, and they perform in an overall performance, through the study on the relationship between the transference and the mental borderline. And the stress and concentration caused by stage fright, and shyness will be confirmed, and the positive element of a stage, which is used as various defense mechanism.

Design of Web based Simulation Provenance Data Sharing Service (웹 기반 시뮬레이션 이력출처 데이터 공유 서비스 설계)

  • Web based simulation service is actively utilized to computably analyze various kinds of phenomena in real world according to progress of computing technology and spread of Network. However it is hard to share data and information among users on the services, because most of web based simulation services do not share and open simulation processing information and results. In this paper, we design a simulation provenance data sharing service on EDISON_CFD (EDucation-research Integration Simulation On the Net for Computational Fluid Dynamics) to share the calculated simulation performance information. To store and share the simulation processing information, we define the simulation processing step as "Problem ${\rightarrow}$ Plan, Design ${\rightarrow}$ Mesh ${\rightarrow}$ Simulation performance ${\rightarrow}$ Result ${\rightarrow}$ Report." Users can understand a problem solving method through a computer simulation by searching the simulation performance information with Search/Share API of the store. Besides, this opened simulation information can reduce the waste of calculation resource to process same simulation jobs.

A Study on the Design Improvement to prevent the stoppage phenomenon of Launch Support Device for Self-Propelled Artillery (자주포용 발사지지대의 멈춤현상 방지를 위한 설계개선 연구)

  • This paper reports a design improvement study to solve the stoppage phenomenon caused by the launch-support device applied to K105A1. The K105A1 is a weapon system equipped with an old 105 mm towed howitzer in a wheeled vehicle, which provides superior maneuverability compared to track equipment. The launch support device serves to withstand fire impact and load. In this way, this device is fixed firmly to the ground in preparation for the shooting mission and is responsible for the critical performance, such as fixing the position of the vehicle. On the other hand, during the field test, a temporary stoppage of the launch support occurred, which caused a problem of not being fixed to the ground. To solve this problem, the cause of failure was analyzed by a replay test and parts inspection. In addition, the operating concept, method, and design were analyzed to derive the cause and solve the problem by changing the parts design. Finally, the performance and firing missions were performed normally by applying the changed design to K105A1. The performance stability and reliability of the launch support device were confirmed, which are expected to be of great assistance in the development of military equipment in the future.

A Study on the Effect of Organizational Culture on Security Performance (조직문화가 보안성과에 미치는 영향 연구 - 군인 가치관의 매개효과를 중심으로 -)

  • This study approached the military security problem from the viewpoint of social psychology in view of the fact that the military security problem has been focused on the technical field such as cyber security along with the development of defense science and technology. In this background, we examined the causal relationship between variables after extracting variables affecting the security problem of the military through previous research. The significance of the study results is as follows. First, the military culture has a direct and indirect influence on improving the willingness to adhere to security and the security level of military organizations, as well as contributing to the establishment of military values. This indicates that the overall organizational culture of the current military is influencing the security consciousness of the soldiers and the achievement of organizational security, while at the same time showing the need for effort to create the right organizational culture. Second, the values of soldiers had a positive effect on the willingness of the individual to obey the security and the security performance. Values begin with an understanding of organizational culture and indicate that efforts can be made to establish an organizational security posture when the right values are formed. Third, we have improved the completeness of the study by verifying the causal relationship by extracting variables that correspond to the context of the ROK military.

  • The goal of the SmartGrid is to maximize energy efficiency by exchanging bi-directional real-time power information with the help of ICT(Information and Communication Technology). In this paper, we propose a "JRS-MS" (Joint Routing and Scheduling for Multi-channel SmartGrid) algorithm that uses numerical modeling methods in IEEE 802.11s based STDMA multi-channel SmartGrid NAN networks. The proposed algorithm controls the amount of data transmission adaptively at the link layer and finds a high data-rate path which has the least interference between traffic flows in multi-channel SmartGrid NAN networks. The proposed algorithm improve transmission performance by enhancing network utilization. By comparing the results of performance analysis between the proposed algorithm and the JRS-SG algorithm in the previous paper, we showed that the JRS-MS algorithm can improve transmission performance by maximally utilizing given network resources when the number of flows are increasing in the multi-hop NAN wireless mesh networks.

  • We investigate the effect of the data skew of join attributes on the performance of a pipelined multi-way hash join method, and propose two new harsh join methods in the shared-nothing multiprocessor environment. The first proposed method allocates buckets statically by round-robin fashion, and the second one allocates buckets dynamically via a frequency distribution. Using harsh-based joins, multiple joins can be pipelined to that the early results from a join, before the whole join is completed, are sent to the next join processing without staying in disks. Shared nothing multiprocessor architecture is known to be more scalable to support very large databases. However, this hardware structure is very sensitive to the data skew. Unless the pipelining execution of multiple hash joins includes some dynamic load balancing mechanism, the skew effect can severely deteriorate the system performance. In this parer, we derive an execution model of the pipeline segment and a cost model, and develop a simulator for the study. As shown by our simulation with a wide range of parameters, join selectivities and sizes of relations deteriorate the system performance as the degree of data skew is larger. But the proposed method using a large number of buckets and a tuning technique can offer substantial robustness against a wide range of skew conditions.

Comparative analysis of detonation velocity in determining product composition for high energetic molecules using stoichiometric rules (화학 양론적 규칙으로 고에너지 물질의 폭발 생성물 조성 결정에 따른 폭발속도 비교분석)

  • High energetic materials (HEMs) have been used in fuels, civil engineering and architecture as well as military purposes such as explosives and propellants. The essential process for the development of new energetic compounds is to accurately calculate its detonation performances. The most typical equation for calculating the explosive performance is the Kamlet-Jacobs (K-J) equation. In the K-J equation, the parameter such as the number of moles of gaseous products at the explosion, the average molar mass of gas products, and the explosion heat greatly affect the explosion performance. These depend on the product composition for the detonation reaction. In this study, detonation products of 65 high energetic molecules (HEMs) were calculated from the various rules such as Kamlet-Jacobs, Kistiakowsky-Wilson, modified Kistiakowsky-Wilson, Springall-Roberts rules to calculate more accurate detonation velocity (Dv). In addition, they were applied to five kinds of detonation velocity equations proposed by K-J, Rothstein, Xiong, Stine and Keshavarz. The mean absolute error and root mean square error of HEMs were obtained from experimental and calculated velocity value for each method. The K-J and Xiong equation that is slightly complex showed a lower mean absolute error than the simple Rothstein and Keshavarz equation. When the mod-KW rule was applied to the Xiong equation, the detonation velocities were the most accurate. This study compared the various method of calculating the detonation velocity of HEMs to obtain accurate HEMs performance.

Design of Multilayer Radome with Particle Swarm Optimization (Particle Swarm Optimization을 이용한 다층 구조 레이돔 설계)

  • In this paper, the design of multilayer radome within, the insertion loss, -0.3 dB in X-band with PSO was carried out based on two cases. The first is that, deciding material constant of skin and core, each layer thickness of c-sandwich radome with PSO is found and the second is that, deciding material constant and thickness of the skins of both sides, the material constant and thickness of three layers between skins of both sides using PSO is decided. The performance of the designed radome almost agreed with the required performance. It was showed that the radome design applying PSO algorithm is easy and fast and the optimum radome is also designed in combination of the various parameters of radome. From these results, the radome having various performance can be designed except the tedious calculation and also be applied to various radome structure.
