쉽사리속(Lycopus속, 박하족-꿀풀과) 화판 및 악편 미세형태의 분류학적 검토 (The taxonomic consideration of petal and sepal micromorphology in Lycopus L. (Mentheae-Lamiaceae))

  • Lycopus속 15종의 화판(petal)과 악편(sepal)의 미세형태를 주사전자현미경과 실체현미경으로 관찰하여 그 분류학적 유용성을 검토하였다. Lycopus속 분류군들의 화관과 악에 분포하는 모용과 선모는 단세포 원주모(unicellular cylindrical trichome), 표면에 돌기가 있는 단세포 모용(unicellular trichome with papillae), 다세포 모용(simple multicellular trichome), 두상선모(capitate glandular trichome) 및 방패형 선모(peltate glandular trichome) 등 5 종류로 나타났으며, 모용의 종류, 분포, 밀도가 분류군마다 다르게 나타났다. 화관 안쪽면에 단세포 원주모(unicellular cylindrical trichome)의 분포 정도가 각 분류군마다 다르게 나타나, 그 분포 부위에 따라 4가지 유형으로 나눌 수 있었다. 악(calyx)은 악편이 갈라지는 정도와 악편 정단(apex)의 모양으로 4가지 형태로 구분할 수 있었다. 화판과 악편의 안쪽 빛 바깥면을 구성하는 세포의 형태는 그 위치와 분류군에 따라 다양하게 나타났다. 끝으로 관찰된 Lycopus속의 화판 및 악편 미세형태를 검토한 결과 종간 식별에 유용하였다.

케이블 기반 개폐 막 지붕의 원통형 최적 트롤리 모델의 개발 (Development of a Cylindrical-Shaped Optimal Trolley Model for Cable-Based Retractable Membrane Roof)

  • This study examines the optimum shape of a trolley, the driving device of the retractable membrane roof. The closed-type trolley was determined as the model of the study, and a trolley composed of cylindrical-shaped inner and outer holders was selected as the basic model. Based on this model, a cylindrical-based optimal trolley model was proposed. In the basic trolley model, steel was used for the outer holder, and steel, titanium, and aluminum were used for the inner holder. In each case, the most economical shape for the external load of the basic model was newly proposed through the topology optimization process, and the finite element analysis results of the proposed model were compared to define the durability and economics. Here, topology optimization analysis and finite element analysis used the commercial software ANSYS. As a result of optimization, the volume of the outer holder of the trolley was reduced by 58.2% and the volume of the inner holder was reduced by 25.0% compared to the basic model. In the case of stress, a stress increase of 43.2 to 79.2% occurred depending on the material of the inner holder, but it was found to be significantly lower than the yield strength, thereby ensuring safety.

스테인리스 강 STS305의 디프 드로잉 가공에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental study on the severe deep drawing for complex cylindrical housing of STS 305 stainless steel)

  • Recently many automotive parts have been made with stainless steels by deep drawing processes, But there are various problems occurred in deep drawing works of stainless steels compared with low carbon steels. For the severe deep drawing of complex cylindrical housing optimum process planning is required to eliminate intermediate annealing improve shape accuracy and maintain surface integrity without drawing defects such as tears wrinkles and scratches or galling. Therefore in this study a sample process planning of the severe of the severe deep drawing process is applied to a complex cylindrical housing needed for a 6 multi-stepped deep drawing of type STS 305 . A series of experiments are performed to investigate optimum process variables such as drawing rate radius and clearance. Through experiments the variations of the thickness strain distribution and hardness distribution in each drawing step are observed. Also the effects of other factors on formability such as drawing oil, blank holding force and die geometry are examined and discussed.

원형 탱크 내부의 기포운동에 대한 가시화 연구 (Visualization Study on Kinematics of Bubble Motion in a Water Filled Cylindrical Tank)

  • A visualization study to evaluate bubble motion in a tab water filled cylindrical tank with a varying flow rate of compressed air is conducted. The flow rate of compressed air varies from 1 to 5 L/min. Time resolved images are acquired by a high speed camera in 10 bit gray level at 100 fps and the measurement volume is irradiated by a 230 W halogen lamp. It is observed that there are three different regions; the bubble formation region, the rising bubble region and the free surface region. During the rise of bubble, the shape is changed as if an elastic body. Based on the binarized bubble image, the mean diameters of rising bubbles are estimated at beneath of the free surface. As the gas flow rate increases, the mean diameter is increased and the rising velocity also increases with buoyancy force.

  • Flexible polymers with densely grafted side chains adopt the shape of cylindrical brushes, because the steric repulsion of the side chains overcomes the entropic restoring force of the main chain. Combined light-and neutron scattering measurements elucidate the extend of main chain and side chain stretching as function of side chain length. The application of cylindrical brushes as molecular actuators in response to external stimuli which is discussed.

  • Investigation on ignition and flame propagation of pyrolyzing fuel in a cylindrical enclosure is accomplished. The pyrolyzing fuel of cylindrical shape is located in an outer cylinder sustained at high-temperature. Due to gravity, the buoyancy motion is inevitably incurred in the enclosure and this affects the flame initiation and propagation behavior. The radiative heat transfer plays an important role since a high temperature difference is involved in the problem. Numerical studies have been performed over overheat ratio, and vertical fuel eccentricity. The location of flame onset is affected by the vertical eccentricity of inner pyrolyzing fuel as well as thermal conditions applied.

다양한 경계조건에서 원판이 결합된 원통 셸의 고유진동 해석 (Analysis of Free Vibration of a Cylindrical Shell with a Circular Plate Under Various Kinds of Boundary Conditions)

  • A theoretical formulation for the analysis of free vibration of a cylindrical shell with a circular plate attached at an arbitrary axial position of the shell under various kinds of boundary conditions was derived and programed to get the numerical results for natural frequencies and mode shapes of the combined system. The boundary conditions of the shell to be considered here are clamped-free, clamped-simply supported, both ends clamped and both ends simply supported. The frequencies and mode shapes from theoretical calculation were compared with those of commercial finite element code, ANSYS. The results showed good agreement with those of ANSYS in frequencies and mode shapes. The program will contribute to the design optimization of a shell/plate combined system through the analysis of natural frequencies and mode shapes for the system.

  • A method for the analysis of free vibrations of steel and plain weave composite cylindrical shells with a longitudinal, interior rectangular plate is developed by using the receptance method. This method is based on the ratio of a deflection (or slope) response to a harmonic force(or moment) at the joint. In this study, after getting the free vibration characteristics of the simply supported plate and shell, the frequency equation of the combined system is obtained by considering the continuity condition at the joint between the plate and the shell. The numerical results are compared with published results and experiment results in order to show the validate of the formulation, and shown that the analytical results agreed with those from other methods. The effects of the location and the thickness of the plate on the natural frequencies are also investigated.

  • Cylindrical Cam Mechanism is widely used in the fields of industries, such as machine tool exchangers, textile machinery. This paper proposes a method for manufacturing of cylindrical cam in Multi CNC machining center. Multi CNC machining center has two different types depending on the tilting axis. For the manufacturing procedures. in this paper the location and the orientation of cutter path are defined from shape design data of cam. The integral NC code fur the both types of multi-axis CNC machining center can be created using the coordinates mapping between design coordinates and work coordinates. Finally, CAD/CAM program is developed on $C^{++}$ language. This program can display manufacturing and kinematics simulation, which can make integral NC code for multi-axis CNC machining center of two types.

원판이 결합된 외팔 원통셸의 고유진동 특성 (Free Vibration Analysis of the Cantilevered Circular Cylindrical Shells Combined with Circular Plates at Axial Positions)

  • A theoretical formulation for the analysis of free vibration of clamped-free cylindrical shells with plates attached at arbitrary axial position(s) was completed and it was programed to get the numerical results which yield natural frequencies and mode shape of the combined system of the plate and the shells. The frequencies and mode shapes from theoretical calculation were compared with those of commercial finite element code, ANSYS. In order to validate the theory, modal test was also performed by impact test and FFT analysis. The results shows good agreement with those of ANSYS and test results in frequencies and mode shapes. The method developed herein is likely to be used for the analysis of the free vibration of the clamped-free circular cylindrical shells with any kinds of lids such as hollow circular plates, conical shells, spherical shells, or semi-spherical shells.
