The article examines the attempts made at economic revitalisation of Ljubljana's inner city and the consequences or "collateral damage" of this process. A lot of attention is given to the wider socio-cultural context, in which art istic practices are embedded in the city, and to the Slovenian population's perception of such practices. Artistic groups and their practices are in this sense used as part of an 'interim development' strategy, i.e. temporary guests(non-statutory tenants) are warmly welcomed because their (sub) cultural capital happens to cultivate the area, making it "cool" and attractive, but when the value of the area's real estate begins to rise their low-income status does not grant them any tenant protection. Regardless of the social role they played in revitalising the city, these groups are therefore gradually ousted from neighbourhoods, which quite ironically are often advertised in the real estate market as the city's "Bohemian" or "cultural" quarters. This makes us aware of the lack of unique alternative or informal spaces, venues for alternative art movements and practices in the cities. These issues are presented on the cases of the alternative spaces of Metelkova and the Rog Factory, both located in Ljubljana'sinnercity.

게임은 현대 대중문화의 주요 콘텐츠로 평가받고 있지만, 상대적으로 게임 텍스트와 그 문화적 함의를 이해하려는 노력은 저조한 편이다. 그러나 게임이 발전하면서 게임의 텍스트적 특징, 그 형식과 내용을 설명, 해석하려는 학술적 비평과 언론비평이 함께 성장하고 있다. 이 연구는 게임비평이 게임 텍스트를 어떻게 특징화하며, 게임에 대한 이해를 어떤 방식으로 구성하고 있는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 연구 결과, 게임비평은 게임을 다양한 주제의식과 관점에서 고찰하고 있으나, 특히 게임 플레이를 통해 게임 텍스트가 구조화되는 방식, 내용적 특이성 및 그것이 수반하는 사회문화적 함의가 주요하게 다루어지고 있었다. 게임비평은 게임 텍스트 자체 및 게임과 사회문화적 현상간의 관계를 맥락화함으로써 게임의 역사를 구성해내는데 기여하고 있다.

Indeterminancy is one of the thought systems which explains all things with not 'either-or' but 'both-and' the conditions and qualities of human identities and inner state. A view of the world of Dionisos of Nietzsche's and the character of Manneristic trend which has resolved the sense of alienation of men by paradoxic expression has succeeded to romanticism surrealism and postmodernism. 1. Cross-dressing has increased under contemporary conditions. There also have been various cross-dressing phenomena in the past but it appears strongly now that it would destroy the cultural stereotypes and give rise to the cultural insecurities in contemporary conditions. 2. The indeterminancy of status that is wealth versus poverty impacts on variations of contemporary dress. This has been represented by neglecting traditional code which is related to wealth in costume by conversion of the symbols of wealth and poverty as disguise with moderation simplicity and additionally poverty image instead of ostentation. 3. In the cultural aspect that is mother culture/ subculture the author has investigated black street fashion which has newly become visible. The black street fashion is wide spread in black popular music such as jazz Rhythm & Blues Reggae and Rap which is subculture against white. The external values of indeterminancy in fashion are n대-manneristic tendencies as deformation eclectic friction and irrational structure and graffiti method. The inner values by indeterminant expression in fashion are irony and paradox grotesque satire and amusement.

This essay investigates how the industrialization of the US food system was closely linked to US foreign policy, gender issues, and the rise of consumerism in the Cold War era. While many scholars in American studies and women's studies over the past few decades have paid increasing attention to the interrelationship of gender politics and the media industry in shaping US domesticity, they have seldom studied how and why reading gender issues in relation to environmental discourse in general and the industrialized US food system in particular can help us better understand the complex relationship between environmental and social problems that we are facing today, both collectively and individually. In this context, this essay shows how US national politics have not only created the ideal of American domesticity that promotes traditional gender roles and consumerism at the expense of gender equality, but also negatively affected women's somatic and mental health writ large. By closely examining the cultural implications of Nixon's and Khrushchev's Kitchen Debate in the 1950s alongside newspapers, photographs, advertisements, and Sylvia Plath's The Bell Jar (1963), I argue that reading Cold War consumer culture in relation to the US food system leads readers to see the invisible links between gender politics and today's environmental and social problems in comparative and global contexts.

문화재는 과거와 현재를 연결시켜주는 값진 자산으로 최근 재난위험경감이라는 국제적인 의제에 있어서 문화유산이 포함되고 있다. 이에 따라 문화재의 리질리언스 구축의 중요성이 대두되고 있으며, 리질리언스 구축에 있어서 공간정보의 필요성이 강조되어 왔다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 고지도와 시계열 공간정보와 연계를 통해 문화재에 내포되어 있는 리질리언스를 연구하기 위한 방법론을 제안하였으며, 공주지역에 위치한 문화재를 대상으로 본 연구에서 제안한 방법론을 적용하였다. 항공영상과 구지형도의 시계열 영상을 대상으로 지오레퍼런싱을 수행하였으며, 이를 통해 문화재 및 주변지역에 대한 변화양상을 확인할 수 있었다. 금강 하구둑 및 보의 설치로 인해 강폭의 변화가 발생하였으며, 문화재 주변지역이 도시화로 인해 상당 부분 개발이 이루어졌다. 그럼에도 불구하고 주요 문화재 및 유적은 고지대에 위치하고 있어 현재까지 잘 보존되어 온것으로 분석되었다. 본 연구에서는 지도 데이터만을 이용하여 문화재 리질리언스를 추출하고자 하였으며, 향후 지리지 등 역사기록물에 대한 분석을 통해 문화재 리질리언스를 추출하기 위한 연구가 수행되어야 할 것으로 사료된다.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of Korean costume colors according to the diachronic stages of culture(Chosun dynasty, Modern times, Present age) and to interpretate the meanings of costume colors as a cultural code. To examine the color characteristics according to the cultural change, the quantitative analysis and the qualitative analysis were used. For the quantitative analysis 1535 color samples were collected and for the qualitative analysis on the sensitive aspect of Korean costume color, 340 color names were collected. The results of this study as follows; 1.'Red' and 'Blue' were preferred throughout the periods. In Chosun dynasty, the higher saturation of 'Red' and 'Blue', its symbolic meanings were more emphasized. 2. In the Modern times, 'Pink' was more distinctive than 'Red'. 'Pink' meant that the ecdysis of the traditional view of color. 3.'Yellow' of the low Saturation was used frequently in Chosun dynasty but in the Modern times, the use of 'Yellow' increased and the high saturation were used. In the Present age, the frequency of 'Yellow' was reduced relating to the increasing use of 'Brown'. 4.'Neutral Color' has changed according to the diachronic stages of the culture. 'Black' was increased and had a big meaning in the cultural aspect of the Modern times. In the Present age, 'Gray' and 'grayish colors' were increased related to Technology, Metals and High rise buildings.

산업화, 도시화는 획일화, 규격화시키는 부작용을 낳았다. 근대화 이후 각 지역은 그 고유의 개성을 상실한 채 성장을 거듭하였다. 그러나 국제화, 지방화라는 시대적 상황속에서 그 지역의 특성을 기반으로 하는 다양한 경제, 문화활동은 지역의 정체성 확립과 이를 기반으로한 지역발전의 출발점이 된다는 인식이 확산되면서 지역의 특성에 대한 새로운 발견과 디자인을 통한 적극적인 개발의 결과들이 많이 나타나고 있다. 지역의 문화를 중심으로한 문화산업의 발굴과 개발은 굴뚝없는 산업으로서 그 중요성과 경제적인 가치를 고려할 때 시급히 정립되어야 할 분야이다. 또한 디자인이 기존의 상황을 전혀 새롭고 창의적인 고부가의 가치로 전화시키는 중요한 수단이라는 인식의 확산은 지역특성화에서 디자인의 역할을 새롭게 인식하게 하고 있다. 지역의 특성을 규정하는 요소에는 도시이미지 형성작업, 경관 디자인, 문화산업, 지역개발등의 분야로 분류할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 울산광역시의 특성화를 위한 다양한 디자인적 접근 방안중 울산만의 개성있는 지역문화와 자연환경을 배경으로한 테마공원 조성안을 중심으로 지역특성의 디자인적 접근 방안을 모색하고자 한다.

The purpose of this study was to understand changes of the current young generation's lifestyle, aesthetic attitude for an appearance, and way of thinking by making a close investigation into metrosexual, the recent mode, and find out its cultural and social implications. As a method of the study, the literature and the Internet data were reviewed. Articles from newspapers, magazines and the Internet were chosen roughly from the year 2000 to now because metrosexual mode remarkably boomed before and after 2000. Books related to the theory on the mode in a costume culture were referred. Also, articles in daily newspapers which dealt with cultural and social issues were reviewed, fashion magazines for men such as Esquire and GQ showing the new trend in men's lifestyle and fashion were examined, and the Internet providing us the latest news from cultural and social topics to fashion trends were investigated. The backgrounds of the rise of metrosexual mode were a collapse of stereotypes in various fields, spread of lookism in a visual image period, extension of commercialism, and expansion of men's character casual trend. Metrosexual was defined as an urban male with a strong aesthetic sense who spends a great deal of time and money on his appearance and lifestyle. His fashion style was characterized by slim and flowing silhouette, feminine and luxurious materials such as transparent chiffon, silk and cotton with a light and soft touch, and a knitted wear with a flowing line, a wide variety of vivid and pastel colors, floral and geometric patterns, and the decorative details like lace, beads, embroidery, and fur. From spread of this mode, two cultural and social implications were extracted. Firstly, the current young generation's aesthetic standards for the perfect man changed from macho man to considerate man who had a good appearance and this suggested that a conventional sex role broke down. Secondly, men began to explore for their own identity escaping from traditionally standardized masculinity that they had been forced to follow.

The studies of correspondence between novel and nation-state, among which The Rise of the Novel by Ian Watt is supposed to be the first book, have flourished for more than twenty years, encouraged by Benedict Anderson's and Cathy Davidson's works. According to them, the novel should come simultaneously with, or after the foundation of the nation-state, and testify to its production or the emergence of its subject/citizen. This paper questions about these prepositions, trying to introduce a new paradigmatical approach, "between global and transnational historical approach," to first novels in transatlantic areas including England and atlantic coastal areas. In its complex relation to a variety of colonial, post-colonial, and transnational geopolitics, various cultural practices such as history, traveler's tales and epistolary novels can be included in the genre of the novel. The idea of the sexual contract by Carole Pateman is very useful because it helps more clearly understand the nature of relation between men and women in the capitalist reproduction, while the social contract tells about the relation between men as citizens. Unlike Freud in Totem and Taboo, Zilboorg argues that there were primordial and violent scenes such as rape before the first sexual contract. This paper will illuminate that "the rise of the novel" corresponded with the emergence of the sexual contract. In the so-called first novel Pamela, the heroine Pamela was threatened to be violated by Mr. B., and was really even confined in his cottage. Mary Rowlandson's The Captive Narrative shows that her body was confined as an English female captive, and troubled with imaginary rape by Indians which resulted in the unequal sexual contract between her and her puritan community in America. However, Leonora Sansay's Secret History in an alternative communality, which was not a nation-state, was different from both novels mentioned above, in that it shows the possibility of emancipation from their unequal marriage, the sexual contract. Therefore, it can be argued that "between global and transnational historical approach" has a possibility to provide a new vision of global sisterhood and solidarity to recognize globalized women's violence, and free themselves from the unequal sexual contract.

현행 문화재보호법은 인위적이거나 자연적으로 형성된 국가적 민족적 또는 세계적 유산으로서 역사적 예술적 학술적 또는 경관적 가치가 큰 것을 문화재로 정의하고, 문화재의 성격에 따라 유형문화재, 무형문화재, 기념물, 민속문화재로 구분하고 있다. 그리고 지정주체에 따라 시 도지사가 지정하는 시 도지정문화재 및 문화재자료와 문화재청장이 지정하는 국가지정문화재가있다. 국가지정문화재의 보존 관리 정책 중 하나인 정기조사는 문화재보호법에 따라 문화재의 현상, 관리, 수리, 그 밖의 환경보전 상황 등에 관하여 3년 또는 5년 주기로 조사하는 제도로 2006년 문화재보호법에 도입되어 현재까지 해당문화재의 훼손 손상등을 사전에 발견하고 적절한 예방조치를 취하는 등 국가지정문화재의 보존 관리에 기여한 바가 크다. 그런데 2016년 제정된 국가지정문화재 정기조사 운영지침의 일부내용은 국가지정 동산문화재 정기조사 운영에 혼란을 종종 발생시켜 국가지정 동산문화재 정기조사의 체계적 관리 및 품질 제고를 위한 수정과 보완이 필요하다. 이에, 본고는 국가지정문화재 정기조사제도의 체계와 구조, 국가지정 동산문화재 정기조사 운영실태 등을 분석한 후 국가지정 동산문화재 정기조사의 체계적 관리 및 품질 제고를 위하여 국가지정문화재 정기조사 운영지침상의 정기조사 총괄 주관 실시부서 특정, 정기조사 위탁, 정기조사 서식 및 매뉴얼의 개선방안을 제시하였다. 이들 개선방안이 향후 국가지정 동산문화재 정기조사의 품질 제고와 맞춤형 조사 기록체계 구축에 일조되기를 기대한다.
