Laplacian pdf를 적용한 DCT 계수의 역양자화 (Inverse quantization of DCT coefficients using Laplacian pdf)

  • MPEG이나 JPEG 영상 압축 표준에서는 영상을 블록 단위로 나누어서 DCT를 하고 양자화 시킨다. 그리고 역양자화 값으로 양자화 구간의 중앙값을 사용한다. DCT 평균제곱 오차를 줄이려면 평균값을 사용하는 것이 최적이나 현재에는 uniform 분포를 가정하고 중앙값을 사용한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 DCT 계수의 확률 분포함수가 Laplacian 분포를 따른다고 가정하고 역양자화 값으로 평균값을 사용했을 때 PSNR 개선 정도를 살펴왔다. 그리고 보정전의 양자화 오차와 보정 후의 양자화 오차를 이론적인 수식으로 나타내 보았다. 보정으로 인한 양자화잡음의 감소치의 이론적인 최대 값은 1.66 ㏈이다. 실험결과 제안된 대표값을 취했을 경우 기존의 방법보다 PSNR이 0.2∼0.4 ㏈정도 향상된다.

  • In this paper a method for analysis and modelling of coplanar transmission interconnect lines that are placed on top of silicon-silicon oxide substrates is presented. The potential function is expressed by series expansions in terms of solutions of the Laplace equation for each homogeneous region of layered structure. The expansion coefficients of different series are related to each other and to potentials applied to the conductors via boundary conditions. In the plane of conductors, boundary conditions are satisfied at $N_d$ discrete points with $N_d$ being equal to the number of terms in the series expansions. The resulting system of inhomogeneous linear equations is solved by matrix inversion. No iterations are required. A discussion of the calculated line admittance parameters as functions of width of conductors, thickness of the layers, and frequency is given. The interconnect capacitance and conductance per unit length results are given and compared with those obtained using full wave solutions, and good agreement have been obtained in all the cases treated

  • This paper presents a Fourier based algorithm for estimating the parameters of the low frequency oscillating modes. The proposed methods estimates various parameters(frequency, damping factor, mode magnitude, phase) by fitting Fourier spectrum and phase with a damped exponential cosine function. Dominant frequency is selected by taking frequency corresponding to the peak spectrum, and damping factor is estimated using the left/right spectra of Fourier spectrum. In addition, mode magnitude is calculated by the normalized peak spectrum, and phase is estimated from spectrum phase. Also, we introduce an accuracy index in order to determine the accuracy of the estimated parameters, and the index is calculated using the deviations of the peak spectrum and the left/right spectra. The parameter estimation methods proposed in this paper include very simple arithmetical processes, so the algorithms are simple and the calculation speed is very fast. The proposed methods are applied to test functions with two dominant modes. The results show that the proposed methods are highly applicable to low frequency parameter estimation.

푸리에 급수를 이용한 이족보행로봇의 보행 궤적 해석해 생성 (Analytic Solution for Stable Bipedal Walking Trajectory Generation Using Fourier Series)

  • This article describes a simple method for generating the walking trajectory for the biped humanoid robot. The method used a simple inverted model instead of complex multi-mass model and a reasonable explanation for the model simplification is included. The problem of gait trajectory generation is to find the solution from the desired ZMP trajectory to CoG trajectory. This article presents the analytic solution for the bipedal gait generation on the bases of ZMP trajectory. The presented ZMP trajectory has Fourier series form, which has finite or infinite summation of sine and cosine functions, and ZMP trajectory can be designed by calculating the coefficients. From the designed ZMP trajectory, this article focuses on how to find the CoG trajectory with analytical way from the simplified inverted pendulum model. Time segmentation based approach is adopted for generating the trajectories. The coefficients of the function should be designed to be continuous between the segments, and the solution is found by calculating the coefficients with this connectivity conditions. This article also has the proof and the condition of solution existence.

등가정하중을 이용한 접합날개의 구조최적설계 (Structural Optimization of a Joined-Wing Using Equivalent Static Loads)

  • The joined-wing is a new concept of the airplane wing. The fore-wing and the aft-wing are joined together in a joined-wing. The range and loiter are longer than those of a conventional wing. The joined-wing can lead to increased aerodynamic performance and reduction of the structural weight. In this research, dynamic response optimization of a joined-wing is carried out by using equivalent static loads. Equivalent static loads are made to generate the same displacement field as the one from dynamic loads at each time step of dynamic analysis. The gust loads are considered as critical loading conditions and they dynamically act on the structure of the aircraft. It is difficult to identify the exact gust load profile. Therefore, the dynamic loads are assumed to be (1-cosine) function. Static response optimization is performed for the two cases. One uses the same design variable definition as dynamic response optimization. The other uses the thicknesses of all elements as design variables. The results are compared.

  • Since Berkhoff proposed the mild-slope equation in 1972, it has widely been used for calculation of shallow water wave transformation. Recently, it was extended to give an extended mild-slope equation, which includes the bottom slope squared term and bottom curvature term so as to be capable of modeling wave transformation on rapidly varying topography. These equations were derived by integrating the Laplace equation vertically. In the present study, we develop a finite element model to solve the Laplace equation directly while keeping the same computational efficiency as the mild-slope equation. This model assumes the vertical variation of wave potential as a cosine hyperbolic function as done in the derivation of the mild-slope equation, and the Galerkin method is used to discretize . The computational domain was discretized with proper finite elements, while the radiation condition at infinity was treated by introducing the concept of an infinite element. The upper boundary condition can be either free surface or a solid structure. The applicability of the developed model was verified through example analyses of two-dimensional wave reflection and transmission. .

단면형상 변화에 따른 전열교환기 열전달 특성변화에 대한 연구 (Heat Transfer Performance of the Duct with Various Cross Section in Heat Exchanger)

  • It is a critical task to keep the ventilation system working in a proper and efficient manner in large multi-storey buildings, and the enthalpy exchanger is becoming an increasingly important part of the ventilation system by playing the function of channeling heat and moisture. We present a computational study on the heat transfer performance of the cross-flow enthalpy exchanger, which is in large use for residential buildings. The ducts are considered whose cross-sectional shapes resemble triangle and longitudinal centerline a cosine wave. It is shown that, as the cross-sectional shape departs from triangle, the heat transfer performance of the duct tends to deteriorate. Also, applying the wave-like shape to the longitudinal centerline of the duct increases the rate of heat transfer and the applied pressure-gradient at the same time. The origin of the performance variations in the cases considered are quantitatively analyzed and discussed.

한글 저자명 군집화를 위한 계층적 기법 비교 (Exploration of Hierarchical Techniques for Clustering Korean Author Names)

  • 저자식별은 학술문헌에 출현한 동명저자명들을 실세계의 서로 다른 사람들로 대응시키는 것이다. 이를 위해 임의의 동명저자명쌍의 유사도를 계산하고 이를 바탕으로 동명저자명 개체들을 군집화하는 단계를 거친다. 저자명의 군집화 기법으로 주로 계층적 군집법이 사용되었으나 다양한 계층적 군집법에 대한 비교 평가는 미흡했다. 이 연구는 다이스계수, 코사인유사도, 유클리디안 거리, 자카드계수, 피어슨 상관계수 등의 다양한 개체거리/유사도수식과 계층적 군집법들의 상관관계와 계층적 군집기법들의 한글 저자식별 성능에 대한 비교/분석을 다룬다.

DCT 부호화된 영상에서 계단함수모형에 의한 구획잡음의 제거방법 (Blocky artifacts reduction by step-function modeling in DCT coded images)

  • 이 논문에서는 DCT를 사용하여 부호화된 영상으로부터 구획잡읍을 제거하는 간단한 알고리즘을 제안한다. 구획 잡음은 구획경계를 중심으로 반대칭의 형태로 나타나므로, 이 논문에서는 DCT 기저들을 이용한 1차원 반대칭 함수로서 구획잡음을 모형화한다. 제안된 잡음모형의 주파수 특성으로부터, 잡음모형의 고주파성분들을 계단함수에 의한 고주파 성분으로 근사한다. 제안된 알고리즘은 $N\;{\times}\;N$ 구획별로 부호화된 영상에 대해 2N차 DCT영역에서 계단 함수에 의한 고주파 성분들을 제거하는 것이다. 또한 이 알고리즘이 공간영역에서 적은 계산량으로 간단히 수행될 수 있음을 보였다. JPEG 알고리즘을 사용하여 부호화된 영상에 대한 실험을 통하여 제안된 방법이 주관적, 객관적으로 우수한 화질을 보임을 알 수 있다.
