ASMR are becoming a new consumption trend with wide prevalence of personal web-casting and video-sharing platforms. In this context, this research looked at what factors determine usage of ASMR contents. In greater details, demographic variables, sub-types of contents, usage motivations, neuroticism and subjective norm were considered as possible determinants in this study. And their influences on ASMR usage were empirically tested. The moderating effect of neuroticism was also examined. The findings showed that educational level as one of demographic variables, two sub-types of scratching and eating sound, three motivational factors including attention, relieving for sleep disorder and pleasure stress relief have positive influences on ASMR usage while motivations of curiosity trend and sexual pleasure have negative influences. The moderating effect of neuroticism was also empirically proven. This study has implications since it suggests that personal traits including neuroticism as influencing factors should be taken into account in understanding usage behaviors of ASMR contents with accuracy.
As the concern with the educational training for human resources development in organizations grows, various programs are being offered in many places. Accordingly, the issue of securing the validity of the education and the importance of its assessment at the level of continuous quality management of the programs draw our attention. The purpose of this study is to offer the basic data of evaluation criteria for human resources development which knowledge-and-information saturated society requires, and also to draw out the greater area of human resources development educational program based on CIPP(Context, Input, Process, Product) model by Stufflebeam, an evaluation model concentrated on process, through literature and case study in and out of Korea. The result of the study is as follows. First, the evaluation areas drawn out by the greater sphere of context evaluation of human resources education program are needs analysis, goal setting, and organizational environment. Second, the evaluation areas drawn out by the greater sphere of input evaluation of human resources education program are educational program strategies, human resources, and physical resources. Third, the evaluation areas drawn out by the greater sphere of process evaluation of human resources education program are educational program management, teaching-learning strategies, and educational support environment. Fourth, the evaluation areas drawn out by the greater sphere of product evaluation of human resources education program are influence, effect, durability, and transference. The author supposes that these results will be able to become the basic materials for the systematic approach to educational programs through the analysis of evaluation criteria for and the greater sphere of educational program of human resources development.

In this paper we investigate context dependent acoustic models to improve the performance of the Korean speech recognition . The algorithm are using the Korean phonological rules and decision tree, By Successive State Splitting(SSS) algorithm the Hidden Merkov Netwwork(HM-Net) which is an efficient representation of phoneme-context-dependent HMMs, can be generated automatically SSS is powerful technique to design topologies of tied-state HMMs but it doesn't treat unknown contexts in the training phoneme contexts environment adequately In addition it has some problem in the procedure of the contextual domain. In this paper we adopt a new state-clustering algorithm of SSS, called Phonetic Decision Tree-based SSS (PDT-SSS) which includes contexts splits based on the Korean phonological rules. This method combines advantages of both the decision tree clustering and SSS, and can generated highly accurate HM-Net that can express any contexts To verify the effectiveness of the adopted methods. the experiments are carried out using KLE 452 word database and YNU 200 sentence database. Through the Korean phoneme word and sentence recognition experiments. we proved that the new state-clustering algorithm produce better phoneme, word and continuous speech recognition accuracy than the conventional HMMs.
This study critically examines and conceptually discuss the new theoretical trend of nation branding strategies and explores implications for Korean nation branding policy. Korea is known to be one of the countries who has competitively invested governmental efforts on nation branding. However, over the past two decades, while interactive academic discussions on nation brand were taking place and expanding in various fields and areas, related Korean literature did not pay much attention to increasing its conceptual understanding and development. Instead, studies on nation branding in the Korean context remained its focus on instrumental and economic aspects, leaving the theoretical discussion stagnant. In the Korean context, there was a tendency to regard nation branding as one of the political tools for national public and means for a short-term image marketing towards the foreign audience. To solve the undervaluation of Korea's nation brand and enhance its public image, there must be a revisit to its conceptual discussion. This study reviews various theoretical perspectives and paradigms on recent trends of nation branding, and re-conceptualize nation branding as the continuous interactive relations among 'national identity'-'nation brand'-'nation image'. In particular, by discussing the 'relationship building' approach, which is the latest suggested theoretical idea that well suits the networked era, this study suggests policy implications for Korea's future-oriented nation branding.
Virtual community(VC) will increasingly be organized as commercial enterprises, with the objective of earning an attractive financial return by providing members with valuable resources and environment. For example, Cyworld.com in Korea uses several community services to enable customers of Cyworld to take control of their own value as potential purchasers of products and services. Although initial adoption is important for online network service success, it does not necessarily result in the desired managerial performance unless the initial usage is continuously related to the continuous usage and purchase. Particularly, the customer who receives relevant online services and is well equipped with online network services, will trust the online service provider and perceive less risk and experience more activities such as continuous usage and purchase. Thus, how to promote continued online service usage or, alternatively, how to prevent discontinuance is a critical issue for VC service providers to consider. By aggregating a wide range of information and online environments for customers and providing trust to its members, the service providers of virtual communities help to reduce the perceived risk of continuous usage and purchase. Drill down, online service managers realize that achieving strong and sustained customers who continuously use online service and purchase on it is crucial. Therefore, the research into this online service continuance will identify the relationship between the initial usage and the continuous usage and purchase. The research of continuous usage or post adoption has recently emerged as an important issue in the IS literature. Individuals' information systems(IS) continuous usage decisions are congruent with consumers' repeat purchase decisions. The TAM(Technology Acceptance Model) paradigm has been strongly confirmed across a wide range from product purchase on EC to online service usage contexts. The analysis of IS usage based on TAM has proven to be successful across almost online service contexts. However, most of previous studies have focused on only an area (i.e., VC or EC). Just little research has tried to analyze the relationship between VC and EC. The effect of some factors on user intention, captured through several theories such as TAM, has been demonstrated. Yet, few studies have explored the salient relationships of VC users' EC acceptance. To fill this gap between VC and EC research, this paper attempts to develop a research model that extends the TAM perspective in view of the additional contributions of trust in the service provider and trust in members on some factors that affect EC and VC adoption. In this extension, we applied the TAM-to-TAM(T2T) model, and analyzed the transfer effect of trust between these two TAMs. The research model was empirically tested on the context of a social network service. The model was to extend TAM with the trust concept for the virtual community environment from the perspective of tasks. By building an extended model of TAM and examining the relationships between trust and the existing variables of TAM, it is aimed to explain a user's continuous intention to use VC and purchase on EC. The unit of analysis in this paper is an individual user of a virtual community. The population of interest is the individual with the experiences in virtual community. The data for this paper was made available via a Web survey of VC users. In total, 281 cases were gathered for about one week, but there were some missing values in the sample and there were some inappropriate cases. Thus, only 248 cases were finally analyzed. We chose the structural equation analysis to test the hypotheses and it is better suited for explaining complex relationships than the other methods. In this test, AMOS was used to test the Structural Equation Model (SEM). Noticeable results have been found in the T2T model regarding the factors affecting the intention to use of virtual community and loyalty. Our result showed that trust transfer plays a key role in forming the two adoption beliefs. Overall, this study preliminarily confirms the salience of trust transfer in online service.
In Korean context, the innovative cities imply new towns or urban clusters in the Non Capital Regions, all of which would accommodate the relocated Capital based public organizations. The central government-initiated innovative cities have provoked pros and cons towards their effectiveness and efficacy for the balanced territorial development. From a broader prospective, this paper firstly examines the current status quo of the innovative cities. Based on their master plans, it analyzes physical and non physical factors which would exert significant impact on the innovative cities. Secondly, it pays attention to how key factors strengthen or weaken their behavioral patterns in terms of dynamic location and implementation policies of the innovative cities. Using System dynamics approaches, it sets up couples of scenarios, categorizing between supporting and opposing arguments towards the innovative cities. Lastly, after divulging systematic structure of the innovative cities, it proposes a series of practical alternatives which would contribute to minimizing unexpected side effects or unwanted social cost in the long run. In order to guarantee reinforcing structure of the innovative cities, the paper suggests that QOL (quality of life) variables, which would require continuous investment in the social infrastructure, are pivotal in achieving original goals of the innovative cities. Otherwise, the innovative cities would not be innovative per se. In the worst case, they might be degraded into the unpopular ghost towns.
The concept of a hyper-presentation, as an extension of a hypermedia, is the presentation in which time-varying multimedia presentations are dynamically linked together and a hyperlink's context can be changed over time at any time during a continuous presentation. While this concept provides users with a flexible and powerful presentation for their descriptions of the multimedia datum, inconsistency problems in the synchronized presentations occur by hyper links can be introduced. The successful management of software (SW) projects is a continuous concern to managers, which is attributed to the contradictory demands that most projects are facing; meeting user requirements within time and budget limit while flexibly dealing risks during the progress of the projects. The present study asserts project performance and risk mitigation are not tradeoff but to be achieved simultaneously, which is called SW project ambidexterity. Drawing on the literature on organizational behavior, hypotheses are developed speculating the relation among project performance, risk mitigation, team collective improvisation, team behavioral integration, and team diversity. Using empirical data collected from 102 SW project teams of 507 team members in South Korea, empirical analysis indicates team collective improvisation is a significant antecedent to SW project ambidexterity, playing a pivotal role to balance the contradictory demands. Furthermore, team behavioral integration positively influences the degree of team collective improvisation, and the magnitude of the relation is partially contingent on the team members' age and major diversity. The present study advances theory by providing a context specific explanation about the SW project ambidexterity and its precedents.

This study examines the process of urban formation in the city of Yanji. The analysis is done by the change of street pattern and major facility location in a timely manner by appling space syntax method. This research categorizes the pattern of the urban growth focused on two urban forms, street and major buildings, in the city and is offered of the meaning of the first value on interpretation of the urban growth in the city of Yanji. The result of the research are as follows. First, the period of the city transformation is divided into four stage; intuitive period, grid-iron formative period, consolidation period, and urban expansion period. Second, characteristics of each stage have been analyzed. At the first stage, the city started to frame along both buildings and streets which were placed without a plan. At the second stage, the city was planned and constructed into new grid-iron pattern ignoring existing context by Jananese colony. At the consolidation period, the road system expands from the city center toward suburban. At the last expansion period, the shape of the city has complicated its shape with complex road system. This study contributes to provide a basic analysis and data to investigate how the Yanji city has evolved over period of time. But further continuous research should be done for future urban development of the Yanji city.
