구속조건 관리를 이용한 다각형 모델링 (Polygon Modeling with Constraint Management)

  • An approach has been developed to generate parametric models with Boolean operations. The approach combines Boolean operations and graph manipulation on the constraints imposed on primitives. A Boolean operation is first performed on two primitives and new geometric elements such as vertices and edges are computed. Then to generate the constraint graph of the polygon the each constraints graph of two primitives are merged by adding the new geometric elements with its corresponding constraints. In the merging process, some of the geometric elements belonging to the primitives may be eliminated based on its contribution to the polygon. A computer implementation in a 2D space is described to illustrate the approach with examples.

  • Timing Constraint Petri Nets(TCPN) extend petri nets by adding timing constraints, it is provide a formal method for the modeling and analysis of real-time system. A real-time schedulability analysis decide that a set of concurrent processes will always meet its deadline. In this paper, we present TCPN model for real-time system include timing constraints and propose a schedulability analysis algorithm using them. Also, When the TCPN model is unscheduleable under the imposed timing constraints, we propose a recovery technique that will be scheduleable by the system specification modifying or timing constraints relaxing in the optimized time.

  • 객체 지향 개발 방법을 이용하여 실시간 시스템을 개발할 경우에는 반드시 시간제약 문제를 고려해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 사건의 발생에 따른 시스템의 상태 변이를 상태도로 나타내는 동적 모델에 대한 실시간 규격화로서, OMT와 SDL을 이용한 객체 지향 실시간 시스템 모델링 방법을 제안하였다. 현재 가장 널리 활용되고 있는 OMT방법론의 분석과정에서 생성되는 동적 모델에 실시간 시스템의 시간제약을 반영함으로써 예상시간 도표를 작성하였고, 실시간 예측이 가능하도록 순차 수행, 반복 수행, 병렬 수행에 대한 최대 및 최소 실시간 예측 공식을 제시하였다. 또한, 제안된 방법론을 이용하여 ATM 시스템의 최대 수행 시간을 예측해 보았고 객체 상호 작용 그래프와 SDL의 구문적 표현을 이용하여 ATM 시스템의 사용자 인터페이스에 대한 기능 명세서를 기술하였다.

An Optimal Framework of Video Adaptation and Its Application to Rate Adaptation Transcoding

  • The adaptation of video according to the heterogeneous and dynamic resource constraints on networks and devices, as well as on user preferences, is a promising approach for universal access and consumption of video content. For optimal adaptation that satisfies the constraints while maximizing the utility that results from the adapted video, it is necessary to devise a systematic way of selecting an appropriate adaptation operation among multiple feasible choices. This paper presents a general conceptual framework that allows the formulation of various adaptations as constrained optimization problems by modeling the relations among feasible adaptation operations, constraints, and utilities. In particular, we present the feasibility of the framework by applying it to a use case of rate adaptation of MPEG-4 video with an explicit modeling of adaptation employing a combination of frame dropping and discrete cosine transform coefficient dropping, constraint, utility, and their mapping relations. Furthermore, we provide a description tool that describes the adaptation-constraint-utility relations as a functional form referred to as a utility function, which has been accepted as a part of the terminal and network quality of service tool in MPEG-21 Digital Item Adaptation (DIA).

Dynamic Modeling and Adaptive Neural-Fuzzy Control for Nonholonomic Mobile Manipulators Moving on a Slope

  • This paper addresses dynamic modeling and task-space trajectory following issues for nonholonomic mobile manipulators moving on a slope. An integrated dynamic modeling method is proposed considering nonholonomic constraints and interactive motions. An adaptive neural-fuzzy controller is presented for end-effector trajectory following, which does not rely on precise apriori knowledge of dynamic parameters and can suppress bounded external disturbances. Effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is verified through simulations.

  • An automatic transmission is an important element of automotive power systems that allows a driving convenience. Compared to a manual transmission, however, it has a few problems in efficiency, shift feel, and maintenance. To improve these, it is imperative to understand the dynamics of automatic transmissions. This paper develops a dynamically-correct model of an automatic transmission, using the bond graph method. The bond graph method is ideally suited for modeling power systems, because the method is based on generalized power variables. The bond graph method is capable of providing correct dynamic constraints and kinematic constraints, as well as the governing differential equations of motion. The bond graph method is applied to 1-4 in-gear ranges, as well as various upshifts and downshifts of an automatic transmission, which allows an accurate simulation of an automatic transmission. Conventional automatic transmission models have no dynamic constraint, which do not allow correct simulation studies.

  • A cyclic shop is a production system that repeatedly produces identical sets of jobs, called minimal part sets, in the same loading and processing sequence. We consider a version of cyclic shop where the operations are processed and unloaded within time limits, so called a time window. We model the shop using an event graph model, a class of Petri nets. To represent the time window constraint, we introduce places with negative time delays. From the shop modeling graph, we develop a linear system model based on the max- plus algebra and characterize the conditions on the existence of a stable schedule.

초공동 수중운동체의 설계 제약조건에 관한 연구 (A Study on Design Constraints of a Supercavitating Underwater Vehicle)

  • This paper defines the design constraint in consideration of the dynamic characteristics and stability in the longitudinal direction of a supercavitating vehicle. Available range of the design variables is calculated by numerical simulation and the cavity modeling of vehicle dynamics is performed first. Configuration parameters of the supercavitating vehicle to determine the vehicle dynamics and characteristics of the cavity are defined as design variables. Design constraints are supercavitation, trim velocity, stability and vehicle dynamics in transition phase. Numerical results show that in accordance with the change of the design variables, the proposed design constraints reflect the physical characteristics of the supercavitating vehicle. This research finds the design region where the constraints of supercavity and the trim velocity are satisfied, and the stability analysis refines the design results by excluding the region where the stability is not guaranteed. The stability analysis is particularly important for a vehicle with the short fin span.

지체장애인의 운동참여제약 측정척도 개발 -요인구조 탐색과 준거관련타당도 검증- (Developing a Scale for Measuring the Constraints in Physical Activity of People with Physical Disabilities - Verification of Factor Structure and Related Criterion Validity -)

  • 이 연구는 지체장애인의 운동참여제약을 측정할 수 있는 운동참여제약 측정도구(Constraints in Physical Activity Scale for people with physical Disabilities: CPASD)를 개발하는 데에 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 이 연구에서는 Messick(1995)의 통합적 타당도, Benson(1998)의 강력한 구인타당도 프로그램 틀을 기반으로 한 다섯 가지 단계로 연구를 설계하였고, 지체장애인 264명을 대상으로 공통요인모형과 측정모형을 적용하여 CPASD의 타당도 증거를 체계적으로 제시하였다. 이 연구의 결과와 논의를 토대로 결론을 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, CPASD는 구인타당도의 증거를 제시하였다. 요인구조의 해석가능성과 요인계수의 적합성을 통해 지도자 제약, 경제적 제약, 편견, 운동환경 제약으로 구성된 4요인, 17개 문항으로 개발되었다. 둘째, 개발된 CPASD의 요인구조(지도자제약, 경제적제약, 편견, 운동환경제약)는 통계적으로 구분됨과 동시에, 기존 운동참여제약 관련 이론을 안정적으로 반영하였다. 셋째, 개발된 CPASD는 준거관련타당도 증거를 제시하였다. 지도자제약, 편견은 긍정적 운동정서와 부적인 상관관계를, 지도자제약, 편견, 운동환경제약은 부정적 운동정서와 정적인 상관관계를 나타내었다. 따라서 후속 연구에서는 CPASD의 요인로 도출된 지도자제약, 경제적제약, 편견, 운동환경제약과 관련된 현재의 제도, 실태 등을 재평가할 필요성이 대두되고, 이를 위해 CPASD를 활용한 인과관계검증, IRT 이론을 적용한 현실 수준정도를 판단할 필요가 있다.
