  • In this paper, we introduce metallic maps between metallic Riemannian manifolds, provide an example and obtain certain conditions for such maps to be totally geodesic. We also give a sufficient condition for a map between metallic Riemannian manifolds to be harmonic map. Then we investigate the constancy of certain maps between metallic Riemannian manifolds and various manifolds by imposing the holomorphic-like condition. Moreover, we check the reverse case and show that some such maps are constant if there is a condition for this.

  • We examine a family of isolated complex surface singularities whose exceptional curves consist of two complex curves with high genera intersecting transversally. Topological data of smoothings of these singularities are determined. We use these computations to construct symplectic 4-manifolds by replacing neighborhoods of the exceptional curves with smoothings of the singularities.

  • The mirror conjecture means originally the deep relation between complex and symplectic geometry in Calabi-Yau manifolds. Recently, this conjecture is posed beyond Calabi-Yau, and even to, open manifolds (e.g. $A_{n}$ singularities and its resolution) is discussed. While if we treat open manifolds, we can't avoid the boundary (in our case, CR manifolds). Therefore we pose the more precise conjecture (mirror symmetry with boundaries). Namely, in mirror symmetry, for boundaries, what kind of structure should correspond\ulcorner For this problem, the $A_{n}$ case is studied.

  • As warped product manifolds provide an excellent setting to model space time near black holes or bodies with large gravitational field, the study of these manifolds assumes significance in general. B. Y. Chen [4] initiated the study of CR-warped product submanifolds in a Kaehler manifold. He obtained a characterization for a CR-submanifold to be locally a CR-warped product and an estimate for the squared norm of the second fundamental form of CR-warped products in a complex space form (cf [6]). In the present paper, we have obtained a necessary and sufficient conditions in terms of the canonical structures P and F on a CR-submanifold of a nearly Kaehler manifold under which the submanifold reduces to a locally CR-warped product submanifold. Moreover, an estimate for the second fundamental form of the submanifold in a generalized complex space is obtained and thus extend the results of Chen to a more general setting.

  • There is a well-known class of compact, complex, non-Kählerian manifolds constructed by Bosio, called the LVMB manifolds, which properly includes the Hopf manifold, the Calabi-Eckmann manifold, and the LVM manifolds. As in the case of LVM manifolds, these LVMB manifolds can admit a regular holomorphic foliation 𝓕. Moreover, later Meersseman showed that if an LVMB manifold is actually an LVM manifold, then the regular holomorphic foliation 𝓕 is actually transverse Kähler. The aim of this paper is to deal with a converse question and to give a simple and new proof of a well-known result of Cupit-Foutou and Zaffran. That is, we show that, when the holomorphic foliation 𝓕 on an LVMB manifold N is transverse Kähler with respect to a basic and transverse Kähler form and the leaf space N/𝓕 is an orbifold, N/𝓕 is projective, and thus N is actually an LVM manifold.

  • In this paper, we establish a necessary condition in terms of curvature for the Kobayashi hyperbolicity of a class of almost complex Finsler manifolds. For an almost complex Finsler manifold with the condition (R), so-called Rizza manifold, we show that there exists a unique connection compatible with the metric and the almost complex structure which has the horizontal torsion in a special form. With this connection, we define a holomorphic sectional curvature. Then we show that this holomorphic sectional curvature of an almost complex submanifold is not greater than that of the ambient manifold. This fact, in turn, implies that a Rizza manifold is hyperbolic if its holomorphic sectional curvature is bounded above by -1.

  • We survey results, obtained in the past three years, on characterizing bounded (and Kobayashi-hyperbolic) Reinhardt domains by their automorphism groups. Specifically, we consider the following two situations: (i) the group is non-compact, and (ii) the dimension of the group is sufficiently large. In addition, we prove two theorems on characterizing general hyperbolic complex manifolds by the dimensions of their automorphism groups.

  • Given a system of s independent 1-forms on a smooth manifold M of dimension m, we study the existence of integral manifolds by means of various generalized versions of the Frobenius theorem. In particular, we present necessary and sufficient conditions for there to exist s'-parameter (s' < s) family of integral manifolds of dimension p := m-s, and a necessary and sufficient condition for there to exist integral manifolds of dimension p', p' $\leq$ p. We also present examples and applications to complex analysis in several variables.

  • Given an almost complex structure ($\mathbb^{C}^m$, J), $m\geq2$, that is defined by setting $\theta^{\alpha}=dz^{\alpha}+a_{\beta}^{\alpha}d\bar{z}^{\beta}$, ${\alpha}=1,\ldots$,m, to be (1, 0)-forms, we find conditions on ($a_{\beta}^{\alpha}$) for the existence of holomorphic functions an classify the almost complex structures by type ($\nu$,q). Then we determine types for several examples in $\mathbb{C}^2$ and $\mathbb{C}^3$ including the natural almost complex structure on $S^6$.
