  • This paper represents a algorithm which improves the some drawbacks in the past methods for detecting QRS Complex waves. This proposed algorithm is very useful to detect correctly QRS Complex not only in a normal ECG, but in the abnormal ECG such as contaminating the noise with high amplitude, the existence of sharp T wave, and abrupt stepwise fluctuation of the base line.

  • A method of adaptive formation of the synthetic discriminant function(SDF) both in image plane and spatial frequency plane by using the Widrow-Hoff learning rule is proposed. The proposed method uses minimum number of interconnections between neurons so it can reduce the time for learning the neural net. Also complex valued interconnection weights are introduced for the purposes of handling the phase objects or Fourier transformed spatial frequency objects which usually have complex values for the representation of not only amplitude but also phase information. Also methods of optical implementation for the complex valued interconnection weights are discussed.

  • This paper proposes an efficient integration method for GPS (Global Positioning System) and INS (Inertial Navigation System). To obtain accuracy and computational conveniency at the same time with low cost global positioning system receivers and micro mechanical inertial sensors, a new mechanization method and a new filter architecture are proposed. The proposed mechanization method simplifies velocity and attitude computation by eliminating the need to compute complex transport rate related to the locally-level frame which continuously changes due to unpredictable vehicle motions. The proposed filter architecture adopts two heterogeneous filters, i.e. position-domain Hatch filter and velocity-aided Kalman filter. Due to distict characteristics of the two filters and the distribution of computation into the two hetegrogeneous filters, it eliminates the cascaded filter problem of the conventional loosly-coupled integration method and mitigates the computational burden of the conventional tightly-coupled integration method. An experiment result with field-collected measurements verifies the feasibility of the proposed method.

  • In this paper, a simple optical method that uses an infrared(IR) cut filter is proposed to minimize variation of eye image by external infrared(IR) sources in a video based head mounted eye tracking system that is used in the field of sports. For this, the IR cut filter is attached to a head mount of the eye tracking system, and the camera with an IR LED is located between the IR cut filter and eye. In this structure, external IR is blocked by the IR cut filter, and the IR intensity on the eye can be controlled by the IR LED. Therefore, the illumination condition of the camera to capture the eye can be stable without being affected by external IR illuminations. To verify the proposed idea, variation of the eye image and intensity of the IR with/without the IR cut filter is measured under various illumination conditions. The measured data show that the IR cut filter method can block external IR effectively, and complex pupil detection algorithms can be replaced by a simple binarized method.

  • 복합 잡음 환경에서 원 신호의 음성이나 영상신호를 획득하거나, 전송 및 저장을 위해서 디지털필터가 사용되고 있다. 디지털필터는 크게 FIR 필터와 IIR 필터로 나눌 수 있다. FIR 필터 중에서 창함수는 선형위상의 특성을 가지고 있고 손쉽게 통과대역, 차단주파수 등을 설정할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 창함수를 변형하여 설계한 후 필터 특성을 확인하기 위해 Peak side-lobe와 주파수 천이특성 등을 사용하여 기존의 방법들과 비교하였다.

  • 객체 궤적 모델링은 다중 객체 추적(Multi Object Tracking, MOT)의 주요 과제다. CenterTrack은 객체 중심 위치를 추적하는 Heatmap 기반의 방법으로 이를 해결하고자 했다. 하지만 복잡한 움직임과 비선형성을 가진 객체를 추적할 때 제한적인 성능을 보였다. 우리는 CenterTrack의 성능 저하 요인을 보행자의 동적 움직임으로 간주하여 확장된 칼만 필터(Extended Kalman Filter, EKF)를 CenterTrack에 통합했다. 우리가 제안하는 방법의 우수성을 입증하기 위해 기존 칼만 필터(Kalman Filter, KF)와 무향 칼만 필터(Unscented Kalman Filter, UKF)를 CenterTrack에 적용 후 다양한 데이터셋에 비교 평가했다. 실험결과, EKF를 CenterTrack에 통합했을 때 73.7% MOTA(Multiple Object Tracking Accuracy)를 달성하며 CenterTrack에 가장 적합한 필터임을 확인했다.

  • In this paper, we present tracking algorithm for the indoor moving object. We research passive method using a camera and image processing. It had been researched to use dynamic based estimators, such as Kalman Filter, Extended Kalman Filter and Particle Filter for tracking moving object. These algorithm have a good performance on real-time tracking, but they have a limit. If the shape of object is changed or object is located on complex background, they will fail to track them. This problem will need the complicated image processing algorithm. Finally, a large algorithm is made from integration of dynamic based estimator and image processing algorithm. For eliminating this inefficiency problem, image based estimator, Mean-shift Algorithm is suggested. This algorithm is implemented by color histogram. In other words, it decide coordinate of object's center from using probability density of histogram in image. Although shape is changed, this is not disturbed by complex background and can track object. This paper shows the results in real camera system, and decides 3D coordinate using the data from mean-shift algorithm and relationship of real frame and camera frame.

  • In Magnetic Resonance Imaging(MRI), the QRS complex of ECG is used as a trigger signal for MRI scan. But, gradient and RF(radio frequency) artifacts which are caused to static and dynamic field in MRI scanner cause interference in the ECG. Also, the signal shape of theses artifacts can be similar to the QRS-complex, causing possible misinterpretation during patient monitoring and false gating of the MRI. In case of using general FIR or IIR band-pass filters for minimizing the artifacts, artifact-reduction-ratio is not excellent. So, an adaptive real-time digital filter is proposed for reduction of noise by gradient and RF(radio frequency) artifacts. The proposed filter for MRI-Gating is based on the noise-canceller with NLMS(Normalized Least Mean Square) algorithm. The reference signals of the adaptive noise canceller are a combination of the noisy three channel ECG signals. In conclusions, the proposed method showed the acceptable quality of ECG signal with sufficient SNR for gating the MRI and possibility of real time implementation.

On the Complex-Valued Recursive Least Squares Escalator Algorithm with Reduced Computational Complexity

  • In this paper, a complex-valued recursive least squares escalator filter algorithm with reduced computational complexity for complex-valued signal processing applications is presented. The local tap weight of RLS-ESC algorithm is updated by incrementing its old value by an amount equal to the local estimation error times the local gain scalar, and for the gain scalar, the local input autocorrelation is calculated at the previous time. By deriving a new gain scalar that can be calculated by using the current local input autocorrelation, reduced computational complexity is accomplished. Compared with the computational complexity of the complex-valued version of RLS-ESC algorithm, the computational complexity of the proposed method can be reduced by 50% without performance degradation. The reduced computational complexity of the proposed algorithm is even less than that of the LMS-ESC. Simulation results for complex channel equalization in 64QAM modulation schemes demonstrate that the proposed algorithm has superior convergence and constellation performance.

웨이브렛 변환을 이용한 스트레스 심전도 분석 알고리즘의 개발 (Development of a Stress ECG Analysis Algorithm Using Wavelet Transform)

  • 본 논문에서는 스트레스 심전도를 분석함에 있어서 가장 중요한 파라미터인 ST 세그먼트를 측정하기 위해서 웨이브렛 변환을 이용하여 Wavelet Adaptive Filter(WAF)와 QRS콤플렉스 검출 알고리즘을 설계하였다. WAF는 웨이브렛 변환부와 적응필터부로 구성되어 있으며, 웨이브렛 변환부에서는 웨이브렛 함수를 이용하여 입력되는 심전도 신호를 저주파 대역과 고주파 대역으로 각각 j=-7레벨까지 분할하고, 적응필터부에서는 웨이브렛 변환에 의해 분할된 신호중 j=-7레벨의 저주파 대역 신호를 주입력으로 사용하여 필터링 한다. QRS 콤플레스는 합산신호를 구성한 후 문턱치를 RR간격에 변화에 따라 변화시키면서 검출하였으며, 합산신호는 웨이브렛 변환에 의해 QRS 콤플렉스의 주파수 성분이 포함되어 있는 고주파 대역의 신호를 더하여 구성하였다. WAF는 표준 필터와 일반적인 적응필터와 성능을 비교하였으며, 잡음제거 특성과 신호왜곡도 측면에서 비교필터에 비해 우수한 성능을 보였다. QRS 콤플렉스 검출성능을 평가하기 위해서 MIT/BIH데이터베이스를 이용하여 기존의 QRS 검출 알고리즘들의 검출 방법과 비교하였으며, 웨이브렛에 의한 합산신호를 이용할 경우에 99..67%로써 더 좋은 검출성능을 보였다. 또한 측정된 ST세그먼트의 정확도를 비교.평가를 위하여 European ST-T 데이터베이스와 실제 임상데이터를 이용하였으며 심박수의 변화에 따라 적응적으로 ST세그먼트를 측정할 수 있었다.
