Methods: The cultural competency promotion program was developed through the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) steps. In this quasi-experimental study, 30 nurses in obstetrics-gynecology and pediatrics were assigned to the experimental group and 34 nurses were assigned to the control group. The experimental group received this program once a week for four weeks and each class lasted one hour. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ${\chi}^2$-test and Fisher's exact test with the IBM SPSS Statistics version 21.0 program. Results: After attending the program, cultural competency (t=8.30, p<.001) increased significantly in the experimental group compared to the control group. There were also significant differences between two groups in cultural awareness (t=7.53, p<.001), cultural attitude (t=6.41, p<.001), and cultural knowledge & skills (t=7.79, p<.001) as components of cultural competency. • National Competency Standard(NCS) is a national organization that organizes the knowledge, skills, and quality required to perform duties at industrial sites by industry sector and level. As NCS was developed and adopted as part of the government's implementation of capability-oriented society, the construction industry is also fully applying NCS to the curriculum and training. This study investigated and analyzed the problems of NCS development in construction work field through prior research analysis and experts interview and derived problems such as discrepancies in classification system, lack of connectivity with curriculum, and lack of effectiveness in revising NCS in construction work field. Further research is thought to be necessary for the establishment of the development system reflecting the construction characteristics in the future and for the presentation of practical improvement directions.

  • For the continuous growth of firms, the contributions of effective risk management system are required. This research analyzes the impact on the firm's performance related to risk management structure which includes the risk management system, risk management activity and risk management competency. In this research, the structural equation model considering the variable which contains enterprise risk management system, risk management activity and risk management competency was suggested. Also risk management organization and management procedures are identified as in enterprise risk management system. The implementation activity and control activity were the factors related in risk management activity. And risk management competency can be described as the response level of managing risk in outside and inside the firms' environment. Finally this model was analysed empirically for 112 firms in Korea using SPSS 18.0 and Amos 16.0. As the results, the suggested hypothesis were adopted. So as to manage risk performance for their firms, the development of systematic Risk Management Framework is important for their risk management activity and risk management competency. Ultimately, we can conclude that the focusing to the systematic risk management approach could be effective on the firm's risk management performance.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the teaching competency for software education for young children. Teaching competency was derived through literature study and Delphi survey of expert groups. The derived competences are composed of 'selection of software education objectives-goals and educational contents', 'software curriculum planning and implementation' and 'evaluation and feedback of software curriculum'. The derived competencies were found to be 15 competencies in a total of 3 competencies groups. The relationship between the derived competencies and previous studies was discussed and implications were presented. The teaching competency derived from this study can be used for teacher education and instructional practice.

  • This study aims to prove the importance and necessity of a project management consultancy (PMC) that systematically manages construction projects to ensure their successful implementation. In order to analyze the interrelationship between the role of PMC and the outcome of the construction projects, structural equation modelling(SEM) was conducted. Hence, one of the critical aspects when conducting the project, human resource competency, especially referring to the competency of project team members and the project manager's leadership, affects the performance of construction projects. As a result of this study, PMC is found to have significant effects on human resource competency and construction project performance. In addition, human resource competency also had a significant effect on construction project performance. Consequently, the research outcomes suggest that introducing PMC services should be done when implementing large domestic infrastructure projects successfully, as doing so will enhance PM leadership and strengthen the capacity of the project team members.
