  • In this experiment, we did sampling 6 kinds of photovoltaic modules and analyzed the discrepancy of measurement results between l laboratory and 4 PV makers to have performance repeatability at Standard Test Condition(STC) condition. From the KIER's results, Korea's standard test laboratory, other laboratory showed -10% measurement variation. The causes came from correction of reference cell, test condition and the state of skill. Form the comparison test, we analyzed the problems. But three PV maker reduced measurement variation, other one PV maker and one test laboratory didn't improve the problems of correction of reference cell, test condition and the state of skill. Also, High Efficiency Module had a big discrepancy of -10.0$\sim$-6.2% among 3 laboratories which have a less than 10msec light pulse duration time. This made low spectrum response speed so the Fill Factor decreased maximum output power under 10msec light pulse duration time

  • The three-dimensional precision measurement technology for industry product of middle and/or large scale has been developed. Theodolite measurement system which is one of the technology is widely used in aerospace industry. This paper describes measurement method and results for spacecraft structure test model by using the measurement system. And structural stability for STM is desribed through the comparison between design values and measured values.

  • The Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS), a National Metrology Institute of Korea, participated in the second-round of the international key comparison CCT-K7.2021 of triple point of water (TPW) cells. For the key comparison, three TPW cells, one of which had been used in the old CCT-K7 comparison, were assigned as the national standard of the TPW. The temperature difference (ΔT) between the average of the new and old national standards and ΔT between the new national standard and the transfer standard were measured. The comparison between the new and old national standards indicated a temperature increase of 69.5 µK after both the standards were corrected for the isotopic composition. The uncertainty of the national standard of the TPW temperature was 28 µK, and the uncertainty of ΔT was 14 µK. Three aspects of improvements in the new comparison compared to the old one were noted: (1) inclusion of two quartz cells in the national standard strengthens its long-term stability; (2) the standard deviation associated with the measurement of ΔT was reduced from 21 µK to 9.6 µK; (3) and the measured immersion profile of the TPW cells was much closer to the theoretically predicted dependence.

  • The FSA(Force Sensitive Application) system measures hand force by using force resistance sensors. Compared to conventional hand force measurement systems such as Lafayette hand dynamometer and Jamar hydraulic hand dynamometer, the FSA system can be applied to analyze use of hand forces while the hand is manipulating objects for a task, However, the measurement performance of the FSA system has not been objectively evaluated. The present study tested the FSA system in terms of stability, repeatability, accuracy, and linearity. It is shown that the FSA system has good stability (CV$\leq$0.02) and linearity($R^2$=0.82), but has low repeatability(CV=$0.11{\sim}0.19$) and accuracy(22% of underevaluation on average). This performance result indicates that measurements from the FSA system should be used for relative comparison rather than for absolute comparison.

  • There are various Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) techniques used for measurement of residual stresses in material, such as magnetic methods, X-ray diffraction, Ultrasonic velocity measurement etc. The capabilities, applications and limitations of these techniques for evaluation of cold work/plastic deformation were studied and compared. Mild steel plates were subjected to different degree of cold deformation and were analyzed by Magneto-mechanical Acoustic Emission (MAE), Barkhausen Noise (BN) and magnetic properties (hysteresis loop parameters analysis). Further, these specimens were analyzed by X-ray diffraction and ultrasonic velocity measurements. The microhardness measurement and microstructure studies of these cold worked plates were also carried out. The results of all these studies and comparison of different techniques are discussed in this paper.

  • This paper explains the comparison results of surface current measurement using X-band Radar image through analysis. Measurements were carried out from February 2022 using the X-band Radar for marin ships installed at Sokcho Beach. Based on the Korea Hydrographic and Oceanographic Agency ocean observation buoys, the accuracy of surface current(current speed) measurement was verified through comparison and analysis of measurement data.

  • This study proposes an essential process of type certificate, which is load comparison for proving the calculated design load. The load measurement was carried out according to IEC 61400-13 standard and the load calculation was performed with same condition using FLEX 5 code. For more accurate load simulation, the controller parameter of original model at the design stage was modified to site optimized value and some node points are added to coincidence with measurement. The load comparison was performed with various wind parameter, turbulence intensity and wind shear. As a result, simulated loads ware good agreed with the measured load. Therefore, the calculated design loads according to IEC 61400-1 standard were proved to valid.
